An Usurped Landlady - Chapter 1
Edited from a roleplay between Light Greyfield & Evelyn Silver
Evelyn Silver yawned. The wolfess, just about 5'3" tall and white furred throughout except for some teal markings around her muzzle under the eyes and up from the bridge of the nose up over the forehead stared out with bright blue eyes across the living room while lounging on the couch. Her interest was divided between the TV which was airing some sort of cooking show and nothing in particular. It was just interesting enough for her to not turn it off. A feline was showing how to make sushi. More interesting to her was her wall clock. Her new prospective roommate was supposed to show up any time now. She was pretty excited, things got lonely living alone and some help with the bills would be amazing. She let out a sigh and fiddled with her phone a bit, nothing left to do but wait. Her ears perked up and her tail started wagging as she heard the doorbell though. She stood and made sure that she looked okay. A pair of jeans and a t-shirt wouldn't win her any awards but she at least looked presentable. "Coming!" she shouted, rushing to open the door with poorly hidden excitement.
As the female wolfess opened the door, there stood a tall, ruggedly handsome wolf with gray fur and an interesting choice in headfur style with mint green highlights on a dark blue mane. He was nearly a foot taller above her and he looked down. His eyes were vividly and interestingly gradient from mint green on the outside to a cerulean pool around the pupil. He was wearing a leather jacket that had some raindrops spattered on it with a form fitting white t-shirt that accentuated a toned build. He wore black jeans and had a large backpack over his shoulder. "Evelyn?" he asked as he held up the advertisement he had answered. As he opened his mouth she could see his mint green tongue. His claws matched the blue in his eyes and hair and his paw-pads were the same mint green.
The wolfess nodded as she looked up at the large male that stood in the doorway. They hadn't really traded physical descriptions when they emailed so his appearance... and size.. were rather striking to the smaller wolf. "O-Oh hey! Yeah, Light I'm guessing, it's good to finally meet you face to face. Come on inside I'll show you around, she said. She stepped back from the door, which she closed once he stepped inside. "Go ahead and get that wet jacket off." she offered, showing him a coat rack near the door. With a smile after making sure he was comfortable, she headed deeper into the house to give him the tour. It's nothing special, a single-story home in the suburbs. She was eager to show off the modern kitchen, which was fairly well equipped. Past the living room and down a hall she opened up the door to his room. It was nicely furnished with a bed, dresser, and nightstand but pretty bare as far as decor went. "So, how do you like it? Seem like a place you could see yourself living?" She asked with a slightly teasing tone.
Light Greyfield, at the invitation, walked past her and placed his jacket on the coat rack before she could change her mind about having a roommate. He set his backpack on the dining room table and continued looking from room to room, engaging her only as much as he felt a female should be given attention. He didn't look down at her much and looked around as he strode through the house with a swagger as if he owned the place. It didn't help the wolfess that he smelled good when he was near her. His attitude was very cool and calm. As they stopped at the bedroom and looked inside he said, "Nice place you have here, Eve." He chose a nickname for her in a tone that implied he'll call her that even if it was only for her friends to use.
Evelyn blushed a bit at the nickname, but didn't protest it. Something told her that it would be kind of useless.
From there, the wolf walked over and looked over at her bedroom. Judging the size differences to the rooms along with views out the windows to determine which was better. "I see myself living here," he answered her question. "How about me?" he asked with a grin as he looked down at her. "I take it you don't have a problem with me as a roommate," he added, picking up on her teasing from earlier.
"Absolutely not. Glad to have you around." she smiled up at him, her nose picking up on an odd but alluring scent that she had started noticing as she walked around the house with him. He was so big and he was already walking around like he owned the place, the confidence was a bit attractive she had to admit. With a quick shake of her head to clear her thoughts she looks back up at him. "Well, feel free to make yourself at home, I'm guessing you'll want to get unpacked." She said as she watched him look around her room. It was a bit bigger and had its own bathroom. Obviously it was the master bedroom of the house.
The wolf nodded in reply to her answer about being happy to have him around. After she mentioned the part about him making himself at home, as if he wasn't already, the wolf walked back to the kitchen and opened the fridge to see what was inside. He would certainly have to buy some stuff for himself if she didn't have beer or healthy foods. She couldn't help but finally notice his athletically toned body without the jacket obscuring his arm and chest muscles. He closed the fridge door. He noticed her follow him since he hadn't gone straight to his backpack. He was sure she was going to mention whether or not she was going to go to the store for things she was missing.
The wolfess watched him look in the fridge. "Oh um... yeah the kitchen is a bit bare at the moment, sorry." Aside from some basic condiments and a jar of pickles it was empty. "I um... eat out a lot, I'll head to the store later though, is there anything you want?" she asked. She was feeling oddly embarrassed about the whole ordeal. Even she wasn't sure why she was jumping at the chance to prove herself to him and felt such shame at appearing unprepared. With quite a bit of mental fortitude she forced herself to stop following the larger wolf like a lost puppy and walked out to the living room and sat on the couch. With the house layout he was still visible to her over the bar counter acting a sort of half-wall between the kitchen and living room.
Light leaned forward with his weight on the counter. "I will make a list of things you will pick up at the store, Eve," he stated while looking at her from the kitchen. He went back to his backpack and picked it up off the table before slinging it over his shoulder. He walked to his room but didn't unpack yet. He had a feeling that the room wasn't big enough. He walked back out to the living room and looked around for a pen and paper but they weren't in what would be considered the normal place. "Eve, where are the pens and papers?" he asked as he opened some drawers around the space between the kitchen and living room. "Come here and show me where to look," he commanded.
Evelyn nodded and walked over to him. That wolf's confident voice was hard to resist so she got up without question. "Oh yeah... um here." She walked with him into her room and took some paper and a pen out of her desk. "I never really thought to keep this stuff out in the open. Go ahead and make your list, just please um... try to keep it reasonable," she asked, but as she spoke her voice got quieter and meeker. The musk that surrounded him was making it harder to be assertive. The scent creeped inside her head and changed her even if she didn't know it and after the tour it seemed to be everywhere in the house.
The wolf grinned to himself when she wasn't looking. He knew that his scent was appealing to bitches. He was using this as an excuse to have her smell his musk more closely. He finally located the pen and paper with the female's help and noticed her becoming more distracted. The wolf gestured with his paw to the living room. "Shall we," he said and waited for her to go, following her and sitting down beside her when she sat back down on the couch. He started to make out his list of items he liked eating.
The wolfess sat patiently next to him and watches him right, noting how close the male had sat next to her, but not making and attempt to move away. Some part of mind notes how weird it is for her to effectively be waiting for this stranger to tell her what to do. But the musk addled bits of her mind reassure her that she's just being a good hostess and making her new roommate feel comfortable, everything was perfectly fine... All the while she remains clueless to the fact that his scent is the reason she's so fine with everything that's going on. Even making it a point to breathe through her nose, wanting more of that oddly alluring smell that seems to surround him.
He wrote down things needed for making steak and potatoes, roasted asparagus, steamed brussels sprouts, chicken fettuccine alfredo, stirfry, eggs, fruits and vegetables of various types. He tore off the page from the notepad and handed it to the wolfess. "That should be good for a couple of weeks. All the while his musk had been increasingly in her presence. The wolf had heard her sniffing through her nose and could tell she was enjoying his scent more than she should have been.
She nodded. Looking over the list, she saw nothing was too bad money wise. "No problem... happy to help you out. I guess I'll um... go now," she replied. She was almost reluctant to move away from the big masculine wolf and his scent. Still though, it felt good to do something for him, and with just a little bit of hesitation she gathered the things she'd need to leave. "I'll be back soon, don't burn the place down," she joked as she left. Out in the fresh air she felt a bit more normal, but felt it would still be rude to not show up with everything... it was her fault for not standing up to him in her house. Chastising herself a bit she just got the shopping done the best she could. She picked up everything on the list, as well as some stuff she'd been wanting and a couple cases of beer. It' was a couple of hours before she showed back up at the house.
Light had rubbed himself up against most of the walls and furniture, including that which was in his soon-to-be Master bedroom, while she was out. When the wolf and was satisfied that his scent had thoroughly spread through the house he started boiling water for the pasta he was craving. He felt it would be easier to talk her into making food if he had started it. He then took a quick shower and dried his fur before changing into fresh clothes. He was reading a book at the dining room table and the television was off since he wasn't watching it, when she came back through the door laden with shopping bags.
Evelyn walked in and set everything down on the counter. "Oh you started cooking, great! What's for dinner?" She asked, her tail wagging lazily as she was forced to bask in that scent that she had started to find irresistible. She looked at him sitting at the table and wondered if he was going to get up to help. She couldn't find it in herself to ask so she started putting everything away, the smell around the house seemed stronger if anything, quickly filling her head with that pleasant haze that made it so hard to say no to the male in front of her. Guessing what the boiling pot was for she kept the pasta out, but put everything up in the cabinets and fridge quickly.
He stood up to lean against the kitchen wall. Even though he showered recently, his presence, being as cool and dominant as it is, just adds to the effectiveness of his musk. "Don't forget the chicken, Eve," he says as he points to an empty burner on the stove. "Cook that before adding the Alfredo sauce," he adds. "We will talk about the living arrangements after dinner," he says as he slowly approaches her but in a non-menacing fashion; more cordial if anything. He stands tall over her and she is reminded again of his size. He smiles warmly down at her.
She gulped and nodded up at him, all thoughts of protesting forgotten as she rushed about the kitchen, cooking dinner for the big wolf. The closeness had been very effective. She felt positively minuscule next to him and thoughts of asking him to cook were far from her mind as she quickly prepared a chicken fettuccine Alfredo dish. She turned out to be quite the proficient chef despite her claims to eat out often and a recipe as simple as this didn't really pose much of a problem. Soon enough she was humming contentedly while stirring the pot as the kitchen filled with the smell of fresh food cooking mixed with that potent musky scent.
The wolf sat down to enjoy dinner with his new bitch of a roommate, although she still hadn't figured it out yet but having been exposed to the musk for this long, she had to have been on the edge. The wolf drank the rest of his beer after finishing the meal and set it down. "Good job, Eve," he says with a wink. "It was meal befitting a king," he complimented, hinting at the current state of his position in the household. "As for the living arrangements, we will be living based on the size of the occupants," he stated simply. "You don't need a room that large," he stated matter-of-factly.
The wolfess bitch let out a light whine. She wanted to argue but it was so hard getting her brain to work how she wanted with the musk clouding her judgement. "But... mine." she finally responded, after quite a bit of thought. Coming up with negative words in the presence of a male like him was hard for her confused mind, so the simple argument was the best she could manage. Still though, she looked at him with hope that maybe her simple words would sway him...after all, he had said it so casually. Maybe he didn't actually mean it. She hoped against hope that maybe he would have sounded more stern if he was actually serious. This had to have been his way of joking.
Light chuckled at the simple defense against his statement. "You will give me the room befitting an alpha such as myself," he commanded as he slowly stood from his seat and strolled over to her at a leisurely pace. "Understood, Bitch?" he said as his crotch was at head level with her and his musk was more hypnotic than she'd ever experienced it, having not been this close to him before. He reached down and stroked a paw from behind her ears and gently guided her nose up against his jeans.
Like a mindless doll, the wolfess simply inhaled as he placed her nose directly against his crotch. The musk was much more potent up close and all the words in her head she wanted to protest with were replaced with simple agreements. After getting a few good deep breaths she simply nodded against his crotch, indicating that she understood. "Okay, Light... I guess you should have the room." Agreeing was so much easier, the words came to her much faster and with so much less effort. It was almost a relief.
The alpha wolf murred as she finally gave in and he rewarded her with another head stroking and let her nose touch against his now large bulge. "Good girl. I knew we could come to an agreement," he replied nonchalantly at having so easily usurped the order of the household in his favor. "We'll get along just fine here," he said to her as he gestured with a paw over the table. "Don't forget to clean up."
