A Slice of Pi (Vore)

A little something I worked on in between commissions, which I'll be getting back to now. I present to you a world that's likely very familiar... yet also very different. This pieces centers on a day in the life (i.e. a slice of life) of a predatory fox by the name of Piberius, or "Pi" for short. Those who know him well call him a different name, though...
"...and that concludes the Department's annual report! We've made enormous progress in making our city a safer place for predator and prey alike to live in, and I am confident our next report will show even more improvement! On the behalf of my officers and the whole Department, thank you everyone for coming!" The fox gave the slightest bow in his uniform as he stepped out from behind the podium, of course careful not to bow too far... not only to avoid a submissive appearance, but also due to physics: he was quite "hefty," to put it mildly, and it would be rather embarrassing if that heavy belly of his would knock him off balance in front of all these reporters.
As soon as the room cleared, the artificial smile the vulpine wore on his muzzle faded to a neutral expression. He gave a heavy sigh, his belly expanding further to jut out more than it did already, pulling his tucked-in jacket out from within his pants. He glanced at that uniform-covered paunch, and then at the unique badge he had over his nametag...
Sure, it was annoying that he sometimes had to suck in his gut during these official press briefings... but on a day to day basis, being the Chief was pretty sweet. He had a relatively luxurious office (paid for entirely through anonymous donations and not any sort of taxpayer money or kickback from criminals, obviously), an army of sycophantic officers who catered to his every need (like making sure his coffee was always the right temperature or that only the finest donuts would be waiting for him when he came in), and of course... with all the power and respect he had, his naturally-charming voice meant practically any man or woman he encountered found him irresistible. It was hard work keeping the city safe as he did, but the rewards more than made up for it... Chief Piberius was beloved by the masses and feared by the miscreants, though with how increasingly fewer the latter were in number, it was mostly loved by this point.
===
As the fox entered his office, he plopped his large rump down in his chair with no decorum; after all, nobody was around at this hour. He wiped his eyes, trying to shake off the exhaustion from such a long day communicating with the press. So many questions... so many of them being loaded...
...so many of the reporters looking scrumptious, threatening to distract him from key topics. While his methods of cleaning up the city had proven largely effective, they were a double-edged sword, leaving him with a carnivorous streak that could manifest in the least opportune moments. Never mind his paunch.
A muffled rumble emerged from beneath the layers of cloth and fat. He had skipped lunch today. In response to those needy grumbles, he promptly smiled... opening up his phone, and sorting through a special subcategory of contacts. As part of his Freedom of the Press initiative, he had a regular list of indie reporters invited to several press events, the fox's democratization of information scoring him a considerable amount of public relations points. And of course, there were other benefits to keeping a list of so many small-timers eager for a big scoop...
Jacob Minkton. Piberius' clawtip stopped over the name for a minute, as he went through his memory banks to remember who he was... ah yes! He remembered Jacob quite fondly! Other parts of his body did, as well... it had of course been quite some time since they had talked, given what a special night their last one together was...
Delete! As fun as calling Jacob's phone (currently stowed away in the fox's bedroom in a secure vault) and having a conversation with himself would be, the Chief wasn't particularly interested in that game. The fox chuckled to himself, "I really need to update this list more regularly, ha!" A free paw idly massaged his generous belly as he spoke...
Of course, there were countless other names on his phone. Crosschecking with the notes his secretary had prepared for him, he found the right one! Aaron Lotorus. Mid-20s, lanky build, slightly shorter than Piberius himself... and a raccoon. The Chief's sharp teeth lined up into a smile... raccoons were very rare in this city, and it almost made Piberius feel bad about what he was about to do.
...almost. He dialed the number, already having produced a script with his sharp mind; it simply came naturally to the fox man, having a quick wit that served him well in his troubled youth. How funny that a mere conman would somehow become a decorated officer and leader of the city's police force! Of course... some would argue that acquiring said leadership was his biggest con of all.
He'd deal with those people soon enough.
A somewhat timid "Hello" rung out from the other end, interrupting the canid's thoughts. It was a quick conversation, the Chief promising the enterprising young man an exclusive interview, though he would have to come within the next hour or so. Piberius put the ringtail's anxiety about college classes in the morning to rest, saying he would be happy to write a letter explaining any absence and reassuring Aaron of the good relationship between the police and university faculty that had blossomed in the last several years.
As Aaron gave a happy, yet still timid "A-alright! I'll be right there!" response, Piberius' smug grin returned. And his tongue traced slightly over his lips. He made arrangements with the front desk for the youth to be buzzed right up to the office, and so he waited.
Piberius' emerald eyes glanced at the notes his secretary had made regarding Aaron. Outlined with a red circle was the word "homosexual."

Piberius was quick to tend to the bedroom adjoining his office. The generous funding the Department had been receiving during Piberius' tenure had allowed an expansion of most precincts, and to ensure the Chief had maximum time to devote to the people of the city (which had greatly expanded as it annexed large swathes of the surrounding countryside), Piberius had the Chief's Office expanded into an apartment. Nothing overly large, but certainly well-furnished in spite of the Chief's salary; most simply assumed he was a great negotiator, given his pedigree prior to joining law enforcement. And of course, nobody questioned how much of it was soundproofed either, given the great secrecy that surrounded investigations.
The fox glanced over at a part of the bedroom wall. Then to a seemingly random part of the bedroom, as if there was some kind of connection between the two.
The brown tips of his ears perked as he heard a knock on the door, the distinctive sound of a gruff police escort audible through it. Glancing to make sure his bedroom was nice and neat, the red fox grinned slyly as he moved to the door... he had quite the interview in mind for Aaron.
===
"Oooof... you looked a lot smaller before you went in, little guy." Piberius groaned, his tongue hanging slightly from his slack jaws. Here he was, laying back on his bed with his legs spread, a mountainous belly - relative to his usual generous girth - splayed between them. He was completely devoid of any clothing, on top of it, though it was all neatly folded in a pile on a dresser... as were Aaron's.
But the raccoon had, as far as eyes were concerned, disappeared. And, as usually happened with disappearances, the Chief seemed to have gotten quite a bit fatter... at least for a short time.
It always went this way in general, though the exact details might differ. Sometimes it was a snooping reporter... sometimes it was a criminal... they would get in nice and close with the fox. His office or an interrogation room, it didn't really matter. And then, as a rush of ivory teeth went over their vision, they would get much closer to him than they would have ever thought possible.
For cuter types like Aaron, Piberius was at least courteous enough to have a bit of fun with them first. They quickly found out Piberius' belly wasn't the only large part of his body. He always loved gradually easing himself into others, hearing them moan, feeling them shiver... the almost rehearsed line where he would ask if they were okay, and how they would almost always beg him to continue... right to the moment his fat knot popped into them. And from there, it was smooth sailing...
And then, once they were a cream filled treat? He'd move right on to the part most people skipped right to. A lot of them struggled... in spite of all the evolution, every species had its primal urge to survive. But some of them? A little stroke of their chin, a little whisper in their ear, a little kiss on their cheek, and they were practically begging to be fox food... in his spare time, the Chief would muse on the subject; maybe some individuals had developed a mutation where they enjoyed being eaten, to make the inevitability of it in a more savage world far less unpleasant? Either way, Aaron ended up being special in that way as well... melting right into the burly fox cop's arms...
And now, he was in the process of melting in the burly fox cop's stomach. Based on those pleased, muffled groans from beneath the thick, fatty blubber on Piberius' stomach, though, Aaron wasn't exactly minding.
Piberius' claws unconsciously unsheathed from within his paws as he rubbed over his belly... it was just something that tended to happen on its own whenever he fed himself like this. Perhaps a reflex at his predatory nature being fully realized? He never really paid it much mind... the sharp tips felt surprisingly good whenever he'd trace them over his well-stretched belly, feeling every little ridge and trough that a prey would make in him... and then feeling their form gradually soften as their struggles would slow, before becoming still.
Brrrrrble. Piberius could feel the flesh of his domed stomach rumble with the force of digestion, his body in full drive to turn the raccoon into a form the fox's body could use. And while Aaron was a sweet kid - in more ways than one - he was the same as any other person. Enough digestive enzymes working on him would make him very sleepy, and he'd be all too happy to let them claim him...
As Aaron's movements slowed, Piberius opened his jaws, "Burrrrrrrrrrp!" With that deep, juicy belch, the raccoon was completely enveloped in the slimy folds of the fox's stomach, and he finally went still.
Piberius gave his gut a reassuring pat, congratulating the ringtail on taking his place in the food chain, "That was a pretty fun date, Aaron! I feel bad it had to turn into a one bite stand, though! I guess I can't help it... strong hustling roots and all that!"
The fox's tail flicked behind him, as his smugness gave way to a more general content. Piberius laid back on his bed, a soft groan escaping his muzzle... once the prey stopped shifting, being so full took on a whole other dynamic... namely, the urge to just stay stationary due to the metaphorical boulder in one's belly, perhaps with a desire to enjoy a nap... or a belly rub.
Struggling to shift on the bed given the weight of a full-grown raccoon in his grumbling belly, Piberius was able to reach for his phone. He had an idea...
===
"I really need to get that guy a new secretary. Daring to try and tell me that he's too busy to come on over..." The fat fox grumbled as he finished up his call. He had decided to schedule an impromptu questioning session with one of the most prominent residents in the whole city... Mr. Big. He was regularly claimed to be the kingpin of the city's underworld, but no one ever proved it. It was the sort of thing that made Piberius smile... rather like how many accused him of awful things, but could never prove it either. It was just one thing he and his friend had in common...
It would be at least an hour before Mr. Big would arrive. Piberius sighed, idly massaging his belly with a paw... he hoped Aaron would process a little bit further before then. It would be rather awkward if the Chief was still immobile by the time his guest came knocking.
While there was the thought of simply browsing the internet on his phone or something to pass the time, Piberius had a different idea. A little pastime he engaged in late at night whenever he was bored... whenever he was worried his mind might start to wander a bit too much.
Reaching over to the closest nightstand, the Chief set a picture frame down on its face, as if eager to hide it. A mere moment after he did so, his claw wandered along the edges of the nightstand, tracing down along the back, before he pressed into the side, right down the middle. And the smallest part of the stand yielded to the pressure with a click.
A black line spread vertically down the length of the bedroom wall, then several more, equally spaced apart. Some of the segments came slightly forward, just enough other segments could fit behind them without difficulty... and then one half of the wall easily retracted either to the left or right, disappearing into gaps that had opened up.
Piberius smiled. The wall that had just retracted displayed many awards and accomplishments... but here was his real wall of accomplishments.
Shelves of various sizes, stacked on top of the other. Each one adorned with polished white masses, some of them with various bits of black in them. Each with two very large bits of black, usually around their center. Skulls. Different sizes, species... individuals. But skulls all the same.
This had started... as a bit of an accident, really. After the previous Chief's unfortunate accident, Piberius had to find a way to hide the evidence... and while he did indeed get rid of most of it, for some reason, staring at the cape buffalo's empty skull filled him with purpose. Even if one of his horns had broken on the way back out, necessitating some serious reconstruction... Piberius winced, feeling an imagined pain in his plump rump as he remembered the one major drawback to his favorite method of making someone vanish. What checked in to Hotel Piberius inevitably had to check back out!
He did not even need plaques to remember to whom each skull belonged. Whether they had cracked or come out entirely intact (it always puzzled the fox how that worked), his memory was jogged the moment he looked into any one of those pairs of empty eyes. Some of them were criminals. Some of them were allies who drifted a little too far from his vision. Some of them... were just a little too tasty for their own good. His stomach didn't really care, treating them all the same once they were inside: as food. A meal to be digested and put to better use as fuel for the Chief's bulk.
This wall was very therapeutic. It erased any doubts in his mind about the course he had chosen with his life. He had been weak. Now he was strong.
===
The much-anticipated knock on the main office door finally came after an hour that seemed to stretch for days. The vulpine gave the dopiest grin as he perked up; his tiny friend was finally here!
Piberius did not even bother to leave where he was on his bed, keeping his arms behind his back. Raising his voice (something he had perfected during his leadership), Piberius shouted, "Unlocking the door now, come right in!" Reaching to his nightstand, he pressed down on one of the various buttons there, a buzzing heard from the main door as it unlocked for a brief moment... the Chief could never be too careful with keeping the door locked at all times. All kinds of people surely wanted to put an end to his vision for the city.
He heard the door open... then close. The whirr of the locking mechanism was soon heard once more, before there was only silence broken by the soft shuffle of footsteps.
"Gee Nicky, can't even meet me at the door fer a cha- oh." Red eyes and a mustelid face soon peeked past the doorframe. The well-dressed weasel's annoyance quickly faded once he noticed the considerable bump in his vulpine associate's stomach. He would not be very mobile himself if he ate that much... though he was acutely aware of the fox's secret habits and knew that was no ordinary belly of food, "...I guess I shoulda seen that comin'."
Piberius grinned broadly as his friend took note of the evidence of his gluttony, his eyes unable to help themselves as they looked up and down the lean weasel's body... the formal attire, the slicked back headfur... the weasel had really cleaned up for someone who would have originally been thought of as nothing but street trash. Now he was known as Mr. Big to everyone... but just as the weasel had a different name for Piberius, the fox had one for Mr. Big...
"Sorry Duke, couldn't help myself." "Nicky" rubbed over his stomach, feeling the hard bulges slowly softening as increasingly there was more flab than raccoon, "...but on the plus side, you know how my meals make me..." He grinned suggestively at the weasel.
Duke sighed, already starting to undo his tie, knowing where this was going. He playfully rolled his eyes, "An' here I thought we were just gonna stick ta business talk..."
Piberius snickered as he lounged, "Already had the room swept for bugs today, Toothpick!" He affectionately used the nickname he'd given the weasel since their complex relationship began, motioning with a paw around the bedroom and office for emphasis, "So we'll talk business, as scheduled, don't worry... we might be a little bit behind schedule, of course..." He tapped a spot beside him for emphasis.
As Duke had already stripped down to nothing but boxers and a tank top (the weasel apparently had nostalgia for when work was "simpler" in spite of how rough it was, though Piberius had learned to find the trait endearing... never mind such craving for simplicity meant the fox's "advice" to the weasel was almost always followed), he was quickly beside the fox, who was considerate enough to scooch over for him... though Piberius' girth took up enough of the bed that Duke had no real choice but to be snuggled against it as the fox's arm reached out and yanked the weasel into a sudden hug. Though based on Duke's increased heartrate and a paw reaching down to gently grope at Piberius' fat, he certainly did not mind... Of course, given how the large fox was even larger than usual, Duke felt the need to inquire about the planned activities, "So... ya gonna ream me, or...? If it weren't fer those soundproof walls, I'm positive ya woulda woke half of Zootropolis last time..."
Piberius' belly let out a deep grumble, the slosh of digested raccoon audible even through his layers of pudge, further sloshes being heard as he jostled his stomach with a paw, "Mmm... I was thinking about it originally but... I feel a little too full to go savage on you tonight, lucky you!" The fox gently poked Duke on the nose with a single digit and a smile.
Duke certainly didn't mind the change of pace, even blushing as Nicky poked him so casually. Both of his hands rubbed over the fox's middle now, the weasel grinning slightly as he heard the Chief groan in response... he honestly really appreciated any affection or playful teasing Nick would give him. Duke was used to being treated like garbage, something he admitted wasn't entirely unfair given the kind of life he was gradually steered towards... it was a vicious cycle. The many scars he had along his belly from stab wounds were testaments to that. Zootropolis always shined as a city where dreams come true in the propaganda of old, but it naturally hid a dark side. Dog eat dog.
Fox... eat weasel. Crimson eyes stayed fixed on Nick's bloated stomach for a little. Seeing it rise and fall with his breathing... had he come a little earlier, he may have been able to see the shifts of squirming prey within. Knowing the code Nicky lived by... Duke was positive this last one would have been willing. He only seemed to forcefully scarf down really nasty people... everyone else was someone he preferred to guide into his waiting jaws.
It made Duke shiver... he thought of the scenario a lot. When Nick felt Duke's predecessor wasn't doing things right, the fox did not hesitate to show up with a SWAT team just so he could proceed to pop the little Arctic shrew in his jaws. GULP. And like that, Duke was suddenly promoted. Any of the old boss' minions who took issue with the leadership change would soon join that same old boss stewing in a fox gut. As the fox's gut churned and ground that shrew into nothing but a fresh layer of fox fat, Nicky even darkly joked that at least it was probably a more comfortable way to go than being iced.
All that in mind, it was only natural Duke sometimes wondered if that was the fate that awaited him some day. Maybe he would anger Nick somehow. Maybe Nicky would just get tired of him. It filled him with fear that any day could easily be his last but... that was an aspect of a life of crime to begin with, admittedly. And sitting here, with the fox's paw cradling at his neck, he found reason to believe there really was something between them than the business deals or periodic primal rut.
Duke would be hard pressed to consider the fox devoid of any goodness, anyway... his methods could seem harsh, but the crime reports spoke for themselves. Kits didn't grow up in fear the same way Duke or Nick did. No muzzle hazing. No stealing just to survive. Zootropolis was not a paradise, but it was not the Hell it had been either.
Duke smiled as he drifted into his thoughts. While the Chief could be harsh, he certainly was not fake in his beliefs and goals. He could have easily threatened to slurp Duke up like a noodle to force cooperation: Heaven knows he joked about it a few times when their business relationship first started. But Nicky chose a different route to ensure Duke's good faith... Instead of Duke just being an associate who doubled as a booty call, Nicky sometimes just wanted to cuddle for a little bit. Or they would talk about mundane things, their history, or even just their day. And whenever the ever-busy Chief's phone would be blowing up, he would still listen to Duke first and foremost. And sometimes, the fox's paw would slowly move right on top of his...
Piberius smirked as he saw Duke was clearly daydreaming, his eyes focused on gazing at that bulbous stomach of his, the weasel's little mitts focused on kneading it... Piberius had figured out a while ago that the weasel was showing signs of wanting to join the fox's bulk, but the Chief was not too keen on granting that wish... for obvious reasons. Nonetheless, he did bring his muzzle down as his grip became a little firmer on Duke's nape...
Duke looked out of the corner of his eye to see the sharp whites of Nick's teeth parted, the slightest gap of fleshy red between them. His heart raced, was this finally it...?!
Piberius angled his head, the fox pressing his muzzle right up against Duke's. It took mere seconds to force his tongue into the weasel's mouth, Piberius shifting onto his side so both his paws could grab and rub at the little mustelid, all too delighted when Duke's own grabbed at him in turn. One of them stayed focused on that gut that Duke not-so-secretly loved so much, but one wandered to the fox's back, right above his rump.
As they made out, the fluff of Piberius' tail wrapped some of itself around Duke's rudder. The two males could clearly feel each other's heightened pulse as they got closer and closer together, building up heat between them... there was only one way the fox could have made it any warmer.
Duke's eyes steadily rolled into the back of his head as Chief Wilde dominated him, the weasel melting in the fox's arms like butter. Here they were, the two most dangerous men in all of Zootropolis, finding safety and comfort in each other of all people. Showing love for someone besides themselves, something besides money and power. As the kiss was broken, Duke cradled into his Nicky's chest, hearing the fox's powerful heartbeat through his fluffy fur, one of Nick's paws possessively yet affectionately resting on his head...
Duke smiled, feeling the slightest tears in the corner of his eyes.
Yeah... this was real.
===
Piberius hummed to himself the following morning, still having plenty of bounce in his step from the previous night. Duke had to leave fairly early to tend to some business, but the fox's impromptu tail sways indicated how positive he was he would be seeing the weasel soon again. Sitting on the edge of his bed, the fox's paws carefully guided a paint brush from a cup of dark ink to his canvas of choice, green eyes full of joy at the progress being made on this latest piece.
As quickly as he had started painting, he was finished, ever the fast, diligent worker. Setting his work down on a shelf, Piberius stepped back some, wanting to get a good look at it. He grinned broadly in satisfaction.
"Aaron Lotorus," read the painted cursive, the black ink neatly written above the two darker holes beneath it. Another well-bleached skull (Piberius' digestive juices always did an incredible job in that department), nestled between all the various others, some bigger, some smaller. Raccoons were hard to come by in Zootropolis, their skulls even moreso! Piberius rubbed a paw over his middle, now back to its standard large size... if a little bit larger now... there was a lot of power in the fact each of those craniums corresponded to someone who was now just some extra fat on Piberius' authoritative frame.
With a click of his hidden button, the walls slid back into their regular position, hiding the Chief's secret collection. As he saw the last of the skulls vanish behind the wall, he sighed... it was getting a little tight in there; he would have to appropriate some funds for a new place to put them into the next budget.
Piberius lifted the photo frame he had set down last night, ever one to not lift it up until Duke was gone and/or his morbid menagerie hidden from sight. He glanced at the wall, knowing what lay behind it... then at the smiling bunny hugging him in the photo, the fox having been considerably thinner back then. It had been a while since it happened, but he still missed her.
===
He stepped out of his bedroom, quick to grab the clean uniform hanging near the office doorway. Suiting himself up, he grabbed his pair of signature sunglasses off a shelf, settling them on his muzzle as he covered his eyes. He was running a little behind today... it was nearly opening time!
He sighed as he looked upward, "Coffee is probably not fresh anymore..." Oh well. He would just have another batch made. Nobody really questioned him anymore, even with his simplest requests.
The office door loudly shut behind him as he started his morning rounds of checking in with all his officers and staff. Another day in Zootropolis.
Another day for Chief Piberius Nicholas Wilde to make the world a better place.
