Well Well Well. I managed to post something. Thank god

I took a shaky breath and shouldered my backpack, grabbed the handle to my suitcase and started in a direction. I sighed passing by close doors, laughing was heard and I flattened my ears. I kept heading in that same direction, the long hallway ending soon, with open windows and it looked like an office. Guess I'll have to ask. I soon got to the doors and I hesitated. I don't know why I did, but I felt really uneasy. I casted that thought aside and opened the door. Soft violin music was playing, and a short petite lioness was standing at a desk.

"Hello! Welcome to the office!" She said it very cheerfully and it made me sick.

"Yes. Umm hi, I'm new here, I really don't know what or where I should go." I felt extremely uncomfortable, and I didn't like this one bit.

She nodded and I heard a click. I didn't see any computer or any button, but something happened. Behind her, a slab of a wall moved to reveal a doorway. "Just through there please!"

I walked behind her and peered into the doorway. "Are you sure?" I looked back and The lioness nodded. I sighed and walked through. I didn't see any light and it looked as if it went on forever. I sighed and looked around. "Nothing huh? Alright, let's see how long it takes me to figure out to get out." In truth I loved this, and I felt right at home. Alright, I'm going to see how long I can take this. I knew it from the minute i stepped in here there were some kind of electricity in here, so I would guess cameras. It wasn't very apparent but I had somehow recognized it instantly.

I sighed and stood there. "I grow tired of this game, I do not appreciate being studied and and examined without my knowing of it. And you do such a horrible job of hiding it too." I smiled and looked up. "Unless you wish to prove me wrong and just keep silent. I smell no other exits other than the one I came in and the is a tang of electricity in the air. I do not take kindly to being locked up like this." I sighed and leaned against a wall.

Lights flashed on and I saw a nice white sterile room. It was cube shaped and didn't look very big. I smiled seeing cameras high up in the corner. "So you finally reveal yourself?" Sure on the outside I seemed very curt and rough, but I was completely terrified! All that saved me from standing frozen in fear was my fear of embarrassing myself.

A buzzer was heard and I flicked my ear at the sound. "One minute and seven seconds completed. That was exceptionally amazing Zachary Cadoree. Fastest anyone has ever finished this test. You should be proud. It took someone three days to finish. Alright, you will be bunking Joshua Vermillion, the second place contender for this test. He passed this in five minutes and three seconds."

Great, I had to bunk with someone. Alright, it's not like it would matter. I really wouldn't care. I had my MP3 player, and headphones. Then the multitude of books I had stored away. I could just ignore them and slip into an ignorant bliss. At least I could sleep sometimes too.

The voice shook me from my thoughts. "You will be starting next week." I opened my muzzle to protest that it was Tuesday and I wanted something to keep me busy." "Yes, I know. But we want you to explore the campus on your own. We are always monitoring you, and by this we will figure your classes. Now you will be in section A room number 1102. Alright, now you are free to go!" the voice ended his drone with a happy tone.

I sighed and saw the door I came through open. I picked up my things and walked out. The lioness looked back with a very surprised look. "Already?" She questioned.

I nodded and looked back at her. "Yeah. Mind if I ask where Section A is?" I moved to the front of her and stood there.

"Congratulations on your timing. And sure, I'll get you a map." I heard clicking and a ding. She smiled and held out a sheet. I took it and nodded. I looked at it and almost gasped. The campus was huge! There were ten sections each at least one mile from each other it looked like. They seemed to be connected by a series of color coded monorails. I had trouble determining the size of each section, but I somehow got it. Section A was the biggest. It spanned two miles, with various monorails and paths. Section B was slightly smaller, although I was unable to figure out how much smaller. The last section as the smallest, and that was half a mile and had extremely small building.

The lioness cleared her throat, rousing me from my calculations. "Those are just the dorms, and section A is where the furs who completed this test in under an hour go. So as of right now there are now four furs there, I think you'll enjoy their company." As if! Four people in the whole two mile span seemed really odd to me. But I just sighed and walked out, following my map. It would seem that the monorail to section A was colored black. That is something I could accept easily.

I entered a room where a door to the monorail was, and a racoon greeted me. "Welcome! New student I would assume? Name please and stand on the X right there!" If everyone was going to be this cheerful, then I'd be dead by the end of this week. He pointed to a corner, where a large X was spray painted. I complied and face the racoon. He smiled and tilted his head towards me. Something I hadn't noticed struck me, he had a left ear piercing. I don't know why it bothered me, but it did. Were the staff gay also? I was rude, but not an asshole,. Plus, I didn't want to seem like an idiot, so i kept my muzzle shut.

He smiled, and looked me in the eyes. His soft purple eyes looked at me, and I felt a really weird pressure, not physically, but more emotionally. I flattened my ears and looked away.

"Remove your hood please! And give a great big smile." A smile? Oh great, a damn photo. I was disliking this place with every fur I met. I supposed that I should do it though, I can fake something as simple as a smile right?

I nodded and he imitated a big goofy grin. I chuckled and smiled. Hmm, first person to make me genuinely smile in six years, well first person to actually try. He grinned even wider and a clicking was heard.

"Perfect! You're not as dreary as you look!" I smiled softly and he held up a finger. "Just one moment, student ID business coming through." I sighed and put my hood up, grabbing my suitcase and backpack. I walked to in front of him and I heard a ding.

"There we go!" He held out a simple hard plastic card with my name, and a photo of me. I grimaced looking at myself. My wide silver disks for irises were huge, and my pupils were contacted widely and my smile was slight, but it was there. It showed the tips of my canines and my nose looked a little crinkled. My black fur was offset by my green tipped ears. I sighed and moved the card a bit, staring at my picture. I was about to look away when I saw it flash in the fake lighting. What I saw deeply disturbed me. It was me, but not me, in a sense. It was me, but I looked haggard. My eyes, they were so different. The irises were pale, the pupils were huge! I looked so old, yet didn't change. My smile turned into a snarl, and in the background, it was so strange! There were flames behind be, yet I had a soft blue aura.

"How do you see yourself?" The racoon spoke up. I looked up with wide eyes and he laughed. "Don't worry. Although you might not know it, the second image shows you how you feel. It's basically a mood sensor, but in image form! Care to tell me how you see yourself?" I contemplated this for a moment, and I nodded. I told him how I looked and he frowned.

"Are you sure?" I nodded and looked at him for answers. "Do you want me to tell you what this means?" I looked down at the normal picture, and nodded.

"Please?" I croaked. I blushed and stared at him. I really needed to know, so I could hopefully change it.

"Well the soft blue aura means that you're unwilling to let others trust you, so that also leads to the flames. You think that being angry at everyone will push them away, so you won't be bothered. Yet the eyes betray the feeling of loneliness. You want to trust someone, but something is blocking that need." He shrugged and looked me up and down. "But on the outside, you look capable of everything, and very loving. You can hide your feeling very well. It took me awhile to get it, but I got it. Alright, so with the student ID, you need that everywhere you go. To enter your dorm, to ride the monorails, and to get inside buildings. Your class schedule will be prepared as you explore campus, and we will monitor your behavior. Also, the ID is needed. It determines the class order, and whether or not you need therapy. As of right now, maybe. But we aren't to sure about that right now."

"A-Alright." I stuttered. I couldn't stop staring at the second image of me. It creeped me out, and I didn't like it one bit. I shouldered my backpack and sighed.

"Don't worry about the second image. On the outside your extremely cute and lovable. Piece of advice: if you want to be comfortable here, then trust others. It might be hard at first, but no one here is out to get you." I nodded and saw a panel. Guess it's to open the door to the monorail. I walked up to it and slid my card in. A ding was heard and a pleasant female voice sounded through the room. "Welcome Zachary Cadoree. Have a good ride." The doors opened and I stepped through. I turned around to thank him, but then I blushed. What he said just sunk in, and it didn't bother me, but it still made me turn a special shade of magenta.

"D-Did you just call me c-cute and l-lovable?" He turned back and swished his tail. The racoon gave me a sideways smile and a wink.
