Accursed Dragon: Guardians of the Four Seasons: Part 1: The Tree of Time: Coven's awakening
#2 of Accursed Dragon: Guardians of the four seasons
I finally got my computer. I can finally write. XD I do not own accursed dragon.
Coven mind was blank, He felt like he was drifting through nothingness, his mind repeating that same horrible day, the day he and Decon, Or, Ayari as he was apparently called. Were dragged into the earth. But the true thing that broke him was the very fact he found out that day.
"There was never a curse to break in the first place."
He was a house, a nest to the ice dragon, Rastus. The Dragon killed by Ayari's hands, had posses him to save himself and gave him his dragon form....and some badass ice powers, but that's not the point. Rastus to Coven now was a parasite. Oh how he loathe the dragon for getting him into this purgatory state. But he never responding. He wanted to talk to him, to confront him. And asked him....
"Why Me?"
Coven sighed.
"Open your eyes, Coven."
Coven's eyelids began to twitch.
"Awaken, Coven, For your mind and heart are strong."
Coven slowly lifted his eyelids, greeted by a soft blue light, he was in a dark room. His strong body resting in a pool of glowing blue water, the water calming him. Coven began to rise up from his sleeping position, taking a good look around.
"You woke up."
Coven turned his head to the source of the voice. "You actually woke up. After two years...." The voice belonged to an old man dressed in blue robes. "My name is Chronos, Sage of time. And I was the one who brought you here during your despair filled slumber, Coven, Vessel of Rastus." The old man said as Coven climbed out of the pool, wearing a pair of shorts. "Do you remember anything?"
Coven thought for a moment. "Yeah....Where's....Decon?" Coven said looking around. The old man turned away.
"He...Is confined."
Okay, so apparently Decon/Ayari was locked away. But why was he awake?
"You probably have questions." The old man said gesturing the blue dragon to follow. "Come."
Coven walked after him, staying silent as he did, he eventually spoke up. "Have I really been asleep for two years?"
"Yes," The man said looking back at the pool. "The Pool of Clearing was soothing your mind and body, helping your consciousness overcome your frequent trauma."
"That explains why I feel like I've been hit by a bottle sleeping potion." Coven half-heartedly joked.
"Your friends, Wylla and those two mercenaries had parted ways. But will soon find their fates connected to you harder to shake then they thought. Meanwhile, Rawn and your wizard "Friend. Is hold up in the city where Parliament resides, trying to clear her of charges of murdering a member of the court." The old man said, Coven thought for a moment.
"Okay, But what about Sansregret?" He asked.
"She....Is not important right now." The elder said, Coven detected a hint of lying in his voice but shrugged it off. "The real question is...What are you planning to do now?"
Coven stopped, Looking at the floor....What was he going to do now? His quest of doing good deeds had been a lie, And If he did find a way to turn human, Without Rastus, He'll drop dead. Coven was completely dead in the water. "I...I don't know." Coven said looking at the elder. "Everything I did was for noting..."
"Not quite."
Coven looked up at the elder in confusion. "True, You can never return human, And you wasted more then a hundred years in a wild goose chase."
"Is there a part in where you say something good? Or Are you going to keep mocking me?" Coven said sarcastically.
"You also expose Despond to the world, and your friends are searching for a way to get rid of him." Chronos said. "Your actions are slowly waking the world to the true threat. And some point during your journey, Up until the battle with Ayari. You stopped caring about your curse." He looked at Coven sternly. "Say that I'm lying."
Coven looked at the floor again. "No...No..." Coven shook his head. "Ever since Rawn and Wylla entered my life, They accepted me regardless of my form. I guess...It made me less sensitive about my body." Coven placed a hand on his head. "But...Despond...These no way I can beat him, And since he was the one who made Rastus and Ayari." He said recalling what the fire dragon said to Rastus. "Do we even stand a chance?"
"True, Despond does posses powers that can break reality. But it expose a weakness, One we can exploit..." The elder said before stating. "Dragons."
"Dragons?" Coven asked confused.
"Yes, Even though Despond created Rastus and Ayari, He has no way of controlling them, And it's not like he can snap his fingers and make them drop dead. You dragons are the only creatures of countering Despond's powers." The sage said. "If you can restablish the bond you and Rastus share. You'll gain the power to nullify Despond's illusions...Even turning them against him. Come." The old man said leading him through a set of door and into a garden area, In the center of the garden was a large tree, Windows were carved in the body of the tree and a set of doors can be seen at it's base. "This will be your base and home, Here, Despond cannot reach you. This Garden was made for you and the others."
"Others?" Coven asked, He heard some rustling nearby.
"Up until now, The Secret of creating Dragon life was safeguarded by Despond. So no one can turn it against him. Until recently. An ally of mine had manage to steal the formula for Dragonazation. And gave it to me to perfect it. It took many months, But my research produced three successful test subjects."
"Thre- OUF!" Coven was knocked onto the ground and pinned down.
"Hey, Who's the blue guy?" The being on top of Coven said in a deep voice. Coven's face was pinned down and couldn't see. Worst his ice powers weren't working.
"Harvus! Get off him, That....That's the guy!" A man's voice shouted.
"He...He...Looks squished." A smaller and timid voice whimpered. "Photo, Are you sure he's the one?"
"Of course I'm sure Drench, He's a dragon like us!"
Coven blinked.
"But...His tail is so stubby." The timid voice said.
"Hey, Harvus! Get off of him."
Coven felt the weight on his back being lifted and he turned to the source of the voices.
On his right, the dragon that got off Coven, Was a big bulky orange dragon. His he was bigger then Coven was, His muzzle was beak-shaped. And the horns were curved, curving downwards. He was wearing a pair of dark orange shorts, similer to Coven's. He also took note of the long tail with the smasher that moved behind the dragon.
The middle dragon was a small medium sized green lizard with a crocodile muzzle, His eyes were blue and he had three horns on his head, one on both sides of his head, and one between his eyes, curving over his skull were head spikes were supposed to go. His lithe tail was waving energetically as it held up the same type of shorts they he and the bigger dragon wore.
The left dragon was short and a bit on the chubby side, His scales were purple, And instead of horns on his head, He had rubber-looking follicles, Some of it drifting over his left eye. Coven looked at the dragon, noticing how this one was blushing at how much Coven was staring at him. The dragon looked away shyly. His floppy tail laying on the floor behind him, Unlike the other two. He not only wore a pair of shorts but a vest over his back as well.
Coven sat there looking at the three dragons. "Coven, I want you to meet Harvus, Photo, And Drench. They...Well. Are probably the closest thing that are called your brothers." Chronos said, Causing Coven to look at him shocked before looking at the three.
"Three...Dragon...Brothers?"
To be continue.
