The first thing that Vyrnen felt when he stepped onto this new world was isolation... as he looked around the city he had just teleported into the normal hustle and bustle of daily life was replaced with empty streets and a lack of people. While his senses hadn't detected any kind of immediate threats in the area it felt like he was in the middle of some post-apocalyptic area, minus the dead bodies and flipped over, flaming cars. "Well this certainly doesn't bode well for my visit," the nanite dragon said as he began to walk down the street. "What happened here?"
Once more he did a scan of the area to see if there were any potentially harmful toxins or viruses in the air or anywhere around him, yet once again it came back clean not only for him, but for most biological creatures. With a contaminant not being the likely culprit Vyrnen looked around to see if there was anything in the area that could tell him what happened and found that it was pretty much packed up and cleaned out. That was possibly a good or bad sign, it meant that whoever lived here in the past had time to get out before whatever happened here happened... but it could also mean that the bad thing hadn't happened yet and he might not want to be around when it did.
Finally after about an hour of searching Vyrnen found a newspaper stand that still had a few copies left in it, the nanite dragon picking up one and looking at the front page. "City forced to evacuate as threat on the eastern boarder threatens to overtake defense forces," he read as he looked at a generic picture of a battlefield. "Creatures expected to overrun entire province in the span of two weeks on path towards capital. All residents are being told to pack up and move out as territory falls into the hands of the enemy."
Vyrnen read a little more and found out this planet was at war from some unknown invader, and though they don't give it any sort of name or mention of what it was, it was clear that either this country or possibly the world was embroiled in quite the serious conflict. From the look of the other news on the paper the country that he landed in was definitely not winning, especially after seeing a map showing the expansion of the enemy invader moving into not only what he assumed was this country, but two others as well. The only thing that Vyrnen wished the paper had done was actually said what the conflict was about and who were the ones that were about to take this place over.
"Of course if this was a war," the nanite dragon mused as he walked through a park that had just started to become overgrown. "Why would they have the citizens and the military move out of here? Unless the rules of war are very different on this planet this place would just get occupied, but from the look of it they're expecting the whole thing to get destroyed."
As he said those words out loud it made him even more leery of staying in a place that could potentially be wiped off the map at any second, but once more his danger senses weren't tingling and it was an intriguing opportunity to be in a deserted city. It was like wandering through the ruins of an ancient civilization, except instead of everything being destroyed it was all completely intact. When he wandered from shop to shop he even found some food and drinks that hadn't been moved out with the shop's owner, Vyrnen grabbing a few armfuls of stuff for later before moving on. Still, even as he entertained himself, there was still an eerie sense that there was something going on that he wasn't aware of.
As the night began to fall on the city and the streetlights flicked to life Vyrnen was walking down the sidewalk wondering if he could binge on some movies in the theater when he heard something that caused him to stop dead in his tracks. It sounded like glass breaking, but with him being alone in this city the chance of it happening accidently was not likely. Continuing to listen he began to hear other things in the otherwise silent city, sounds of things moving around and getting knocked over. Was someone in trouble, Vyrnen wondered as he looked down the alleyway where the noises sounded like they were coming from?
Taking no chances he quickly but carefully snuck his way down the alley, and though he wasn't exactly built for stealth with shiny white scales and glowing blue lines, he tried his best to at least be silent. As he got closer he definitely heard something going on in the other alleyway, from the sound of it multiple people were doing something that sounded like a scuffle. This wasn't his war... but that didn't mean that one or both sides wouldn't look at him as an enemy or, possibly worse, an asset. But with his curiosity getting the better of him he decided to take a little peak at what might be happening just around the corner.
When he finally poked his head around to see he had to immediately stifle a gasp at what he saw. His hunch about a scuffle was correct as he saw about a dozen anthros all down on their knees with their heads bowed down. What shocked the nanite dragon more was those that were around him; creatures wearing some sort of body suit with glowing eyes and lines down their bodies. At first Vyrnen thought that they might be machines, but when his nanites scanned the area he didn't sense anything technological about them. It also appeared that there were two primary types; one set of them had, for lack of a better word, basic markings on their purple and black rubber and were more lithe in body type while the one that stood in front of the twelve prisoners was more muscular and had markings like stripes on his body, though they all sported long sabreteeth with other similar features.
"We cleared the building," one of the lithe ones said, his speech perfectly heard despite Vyrnen not seeing his mouth move. "Between the two we got trying to make a run for it and the ten that were in the room, that makes all organics accounted for. What is your next order, Controller?"
"Get the transport truck, Drone," Controller replied, his lips actually able to move as he looked down at the twelve. "I have the feeling that we're going to be needing a lot of those seats to bring this lot back to processing... though we'll see how many seats are open." He flared his wings out slightly for emphasis as he looked between the people on the ground. "It'll all depend on what our new friends here decide on."
"Go to hell!" a wolf on the end of the row shouted before spitting on the ground in front of Controller's feet. "I'll never be part of the Network, I'd rather die!"
The Controller seemed unfazed by this as he walked over to the end, the wolf suddenly getting less cocky with the larger creature towering over him. As Vyrnen watched he wondered why none of them trying to make a run for it until he saw the rubber male slide a hand under the wolf's muzzle and push it up to expose the collar underneath. "Fortunately for you the Overlord detests of such ends," The Controller said with a smirk. "However I'm not going to have you screaming and yelling during my proposal, so we're just going to shut you up for a bit."
At first Vyrnen thought that the rubber creature was putting something on the wolf's collar, but as the captured male continued to struggle he saw that something shiny and black had appeared in Controller's hand. "What... what are you doing..." the wolf said as he tried to squirm away, only to be stopped by some invisible force as Controller continued to raise up his hand and the strange, squishy creature to his ear. "No... get away from me! Don't put that thing anywhere close to... oh... ah..."
The nanite dragon's eyes widened as the slug-like blob of black latex pushed its tip into his ear, causing the wolf to immediately start to relax. Even from his position Vyrnen could see his eyes dilate to the point where there was no iris left as the latex slid into his ear, disappearing shortly after as the guy began to pant with a goofy smile on his muzzle and the fabric around his groin began to tent. "That should keep him occupied until we can get to the conversion facility where he will become a drone," he said before looking at the others. "Now, if anyone else wishes to join him, feel free to speak up like he did."
The rest of the captured group remained silent and Controller remained grinning as one of the Drones took the bliss-dazed wolf and moved him out of sight. "Now my offer to you is this," the rubber creature said as he walked back and forth in front of the remaining eleven captives. "I could send you all to the conversion center where you will be potentially made into drones or possibly get a better lot in life, or I could convert you. You would not only become a highly prized member of the Sabredrone Network, which means you won't even be considered for typical droning, but also earn my eternal gratitude. The only thing is that I need you to show your willingness to be under me. I'm only going to convert the first three, so speak now.
Vyrnen watched in fascination as at first no one stood up, everyone glancing at one another to see if they showed an implication that they would take the deal. Just as it looked like no one would break an otter that was near the middle of the line spoke up and said that he would be more than happy to join. The Controller grinned and instructed a drone to unlock the collar around his neck, and like dominos the others began to speak up that they were willing as well. In the end five wanted to take the deal, but true to his word he took the first two after the otter.
"Drones, take these other ones and put them on the transport," the Controller said as he waved his hand while looking eagerly at the otter and the other two, an arctic fox and a falcon, with an eager gleam in his eyes. "Since the otter was the first to get the ball rolling they will get the luxury of my cock inside them. For our vulpine friend we're going to do a little tongue twisting, and for the bird I'm going to want you to get on all fours at my side since you were the last of them to answer me."
As the nanite dragon watched the otter seemed almost excited by the prospect, quickly getting into position where Controller had told him with his arms braced up over a small embankment wall. It was very clear what was about to happen as Vyrnen saw the thick, black cock of the synthetic sabretooth creature harden between the otter's legs. Vyrnen decided that was the cue for him to leave, but before he could turn around to leave he felt something press against his neck. He let out a small gasp as the collar clicked into place, turning to see the rubber creature that had snuck up behind him was also a sabrewolf save for a few features that would have identified him more as a dragon.
Though the first instinct was to run as soon as that thought popped into his head it left him, the glowing green eyes of the drone flashing as it did. As the rubber creature continued to stare at him any thoughts of fleeing or trying to remove the collar were quickly removed, leaving the nanite dragon with no idea on what to do. It was a strange sense of mental control, and even though he knew that it was happening to him, he couldn't figure out the means of escape. Instead he found himself starting to move forward without being beckoned... or was he?
Either way Vyrnen found himself moving forward as commanded, moving out from his hiding spot behind the corner and moving out to where the others were. By this point most of the drones had left, likely escorting their prisoners to the transport, but Collector was still there as he looked over. "What is this..." the rubber creature said after his tongue had slithered its way out of the vulpine's throat and back into his own mouth, the arctic fox gurgling as black rubber began to cover his muzzle. "Yet another survivor found in the deserted city, we're having ourselves a rather good day."
"This one is... unusual..." the sabrewolf drone said, Vyrnen unable to respond as he watched the otter impaled on Controller's cock swelling with muscle as rubber covered the male. "We couldn't detect him before, had I not been passing by for one last sweep we might have missed him. Collar seems to work, though, would you like to convert him as well, or could I be able to?"
"I think I've already earned enough stripes today," Controller replied, looking down at the new stripes forming on the creature's tail above where it had split in two to penetrate the falcon in both orifices. "Plus if he's not showing up on our radar then it might be something to look into. Take him to the conversion facility to see whether they can make heads or tails of him while I use the ones presented to me."
The drone nodded and once more Vyrnen found himself walking without even thinking about it, leaving Controller to continue to once more push into the transforming arctic fox's muzzle yet again as he rutted the other two. By the time they passed by and moved towards the road the otter looked much more authoritative than the other drones he saw. It appeared that the Controller kept his promise to them and they would soon join those creatures that were likely off in other places trying to find others that were hiding. As he was led to the road he saw the transport that was there with two of the drones leading collared people inside of it.
Vyrnen felt the reality of what was happening to him when he was told it was his turn and felt himself walk up and take a seat inside of the transport. He had been captured on a strange planet and had some sort of device on him that allowed his mind to be edited so that the mere thought of escape eluded him. If he could break free from their control for just a second he might be able to do a dimensional shift, but the drones that were keeping track of their prisoners had a death grip on their psyches. From the looks in the eyes of the others it was clear no one else had any intention of running or fighting, either, as the doors closed and the vehicle started to move.
"Excuse me," Vyrnen asked to the orca across from him. "Can you tell me what's going on here?"
Everyone looked at one another in a mixture of shock and confusion, whispering to one another as the one the nanite dragon had addressed just stared at him. "What, you been living under a rock there, mate?" she asked. "Didn't think there was anyone on the planet left that didn't know about the invasion, much less anyone that would be hanging around a deserted city they were invading."
"Let's pretend for the sake of argument that I'm not from this planet," Vyrnen replied, attempting to avoid the explanation of how he got there. "Can you just explain what those things are and what they're doing to us?"
"You've been captured by sabredrones, mate," the orca explained with a shrug. "These rubber creatures are like a plague, moving from city to city capturing people like us and bringing them to be converted. No one really knows what they really are since anyone that tried to infiltrate the area becomes a sabredrone themselves. Military has been doing everything they could to fight them but it's a bit hard when they can just roll in and take them over, and now you're fighting twice the force with all the secrets they may have had."
"Then you have the defectors," a wolf on the end of the transport vehicle said as he spat on the ground. "Those who joined in the beginning when their Overlord came on television and made a sales pitch for the entire world to join willingly or become drones."
"It was a hell of a sales pitch," a buck chimed in, one that Vyrnen recognized was one who had tried to volunteer for conversion. "The promise of endless pleasure and complete free will to do what you want is quite tempting no matter who you are. Kind of wish that I had done this in the first place, now I'm going to get droned and controlled..."
The comment got a scowl from the wolf and he looked down as a german shepard took the silence as an opportunity to speak up. "My brother thought he would be clever and try to join the ranks in order to take them down from the inside," she stated. "I don't think he realized that when he was converted that the whole free will thing came with a caveat; that you would have an undying loyalty to the sabredrones and the Overlord that controlled them. While it's hard to tell I think I saw him on the news during the initial spread collaring someone... the smile on his face when he did, I knew right then and there that these creatures were not to be trifled with."
When Vyrnen asked for more information on how this all began they said that it started with a small town near the mountains, the entire town going dark all at once. This only lasted for about two days and then the town started taking and receiving messages again like nothing had even happened. Those who went up there to investigate said that everything was fine, but wouldn't come back down, either. Had anyone of power taken real concern of what was happening there the scourge might have been stopped there, but unfortunately no one paid it any real mind.
It was only until the busses came from the town into the nearest major city that something had happened up there, but by then it was too late. The town had contained hundreds if not thousands of people and all those people poured out into the city at once. It was like a swarm, and before anyone could react to it the city had fallen under sabredrone control with most of the population converted. That was when the message went out to the world, the Overlord insisting that this world was his now and that all would be assimilated and offered various amenities to those who gave themselves willingly. Though the action was immediately condemned it didn't stop flocks of people, either enticed by the power offered or just from the admittedly sexy rubber creatures, from joining the already swelling ranks as the sabredrones pushed out into neighboring territories.
By the time Vyrnen had gotten all the history down of what had happened they had arrived at what looked like the a large convention center, though it wasn't one that he had ever seen before. Rubber seemed to have grown over most of it, turning it into something otherworldly and alien as more drones began to usher them out. The orca that had explained everything to him said that was the mark of rubber corruption in the area. As the nanite dragon was ushered forward and he looked at the surrounding area being infested as well it made him wonder what the original city was like, likely something out of a sci-fi or horror book depending on the perspective.
"So this is the one that isn't like the others," a voice said as Vyrnen was compelled to stop and turn, seeing a sabredrone that looked a lot like the Controller that was in the alley, save for a few bright blue stripes, eyeing him up. "You've been marked for special processing. Please come with me."
The nanite dragon noted how strange it was for the creature that was essentially controlling his mind to be polite, but that was the least of his concerns as he was moved further into the convention center. As he walked through the atrium he saw that the group he arrived with was not the only arrival to the processing facility; a number of bay doors that were originally for the delivery of goods had people filing out of them, all with collars on their neck as they were ushered into the various gates of the main stage. Most of them went through one door, but there were others like him that got pulled out of the line and instructed to go to different areas. He was one of the few that were going up to the second floor as they bypassed one of the largest rubber sabredrones that he had seen yet.
"What's going to happen to all of them?" Vyrnen asked his escort, trying to both find out more about his predicament and fill the silence in the air.
"They are being converted, of course," the sabredrone replied rather matter-of-factly. "To prevent everyone from fighting over high density population areas we create assimilation centers and issue stripe caps, otherwise it would be chaos. The Overlord makes sure that we all get our rewards, but they're a group effort. No one is going to get a stripe for you."
It took a second for the nanite dragon to realize what the sabredrone had said and stopped to turn around. "Wait, I'm being converted, too?" the nanite dragon asked before he once more felt himself turn and walk around after the sabredrone looked at him. "But I thought I was a special case or something! The other Controller guy said something about me not being able to be tracked!"
"You are a special case," the other Controller replied, chuckling slightly at the shocked look on Vyrnen's face. "The easiest way to learn about something is to assimilate it. Once you are a sabredrone we will learn everything we need to know about you."
Vyrnen swallowed hard as he continued to walk towards one of the areas marked for reserved seating. When he got inside his anxiety turned to awe at what he saw through the windows; the entire area had been converted into several different ways of turning people into sabredrones. One side of the field looked like it was made entirely out of tar pits, various species walking into one end of it as themselves and coming out the other side as the drones after the excess had been washed off. On another were rows upon rows of vac-racks, cubes, and towers where he could actually watch the transformations taking place in those contained inside. As he continued to get led inside he saw that most of the upper level was occupied as well, though those in that area appeared to be personally attended to unlike the mass conversion happening below.
"So this is the one that has the network in a stir," another rubber sabredrone said as he eyed Vyrnen up, this one with a number of glowing orange stripes on him. "Do we have anything special in mind for him, Controller?"
"Overlord wants him to be a blank Assimilator," Controller replied. "Rumor on the network is that he's coming down personally in order to see this anomaly for himself and decide what he's going to do with him."
"Serathin is coming down here, himself?" the one that was identified as an Assimilator said with a hint of nervousness. "If I would have known that I would have polished myself up a little more. Think I have time to do so?"
The Controller laughed and gestured for Vyrnen to sit down in one of the overstuffed chairs that faced the stadium. "I don't think the Overlord is going to come in to visit everyone here, orange stripe," he said before turning serious again. "Conversion only, not a thing else. Otherwise you might be the one that ends up blank."
Though it was clear that Assimilator's mood was dampened by that, the last few words caused him to straighten up and nod as Vyrnen sat down. The nanite dragon could feel him sink into the comfortable chair as he felt the unmistakable touch of latex against his body. As the Controller left the other sabredrone creature began to dote on him, pushing Vyrnen's arms against the arms of the chair to have them sink into the rubber substance. When he tried to pull them out again he found them stuck fast inside the couch as the Assimilator did the same thing to his legs.
"He thinks he's all superior," the Assimilator mumbled under his breath as he went over to a table and picked up something. "Yeah he has blue stripes, but I think I've been doing pretty good so far... don't you think?" It took Vyrnen a few seconds to realize that he was talking to him, but before he could formulate an answer the Assimilator just rolled his eyes. "I suppose you wouldn't know about the system yet, not until you get assigned your first task at least, though I have to say the fact you've caught Serathin's attention makes me jealous."
Before Vyrnen could say anything he saw what the Assimilator was holding in his hands, what looked like a simple black latex mask stylized in the head of a sabrewolf. With the combination of the collar and his arms and legs sunken into the chair there was little he could do but let it get put on his face. The second it made contact with his nanites he could feel it adhere to them, bonding to them almost instantly as the mask suctioned itself around his head. When Vyrnen tried to speak he found himself unable to as the rubber cushion began to morph and stretch slightly towards his groin.
The second that the alien material tried to assimilate his nanites he felt them mount a defensive against it, but whatever the collar was doing to keep him in line was also dampening his ability to counteract it. His body began to tremble as his draconic face shifted, the mask molding it to the form that it was as the edges of the rubber liquidated and began to run down his neck. His entire body trembled as he could feel something pushing its way into his programming, hijacking his thought processes and running a new interface through them. It was that of a sabredrone, his eyes rolling back into his head as a pair of lenses formed over them.
"There you go," the assimilator said as he began to stroke and rub Vyrnen's restrained, lust-soaked body. "I can tell you're an eager one, it really is a pity that I can't be the one to mark you as my own. Oh well, I'm sure we can have ourselves some fun since you seem very open to the concept."
Had Vyrnen the ability to respond he would have asked how the sabredrone knew that, at least until he felt the presence of another inside his mind. Had they already hacked into his programming enough that they knew what his wants where? At the same time he could feel them feeding information into his corrupted nanites, everything from their Overlord to how to be a good sabredrone. As the plain black latex turned to purple when it reached his chest he began to squirm in the chair once more, but now it was because he was being stimulated from all sides as the orange-striped rubber creature climbed on top of him. At the same time he could feel something pushing its way into his tailhole, another means of stimulation while the sabredrone claimed Vyrnen in both mind and body.
He felt the rubber that had been the mask open up slightly as the Assimilator pressed his own muzzle against it and stuck his tongue inside. As that latex appendage explored the inside of his mouth what amazed Vyrnen even more was the sensitivity that came from their sabreteeth, the transforming nanite dragon huffing as they rubbed together. It was the mark of their kind, the voice that had once been his own said as he felt his cock get sandwiched between their bodies. As the Assimilator grinded against his form he realized it wasn't just that, either, those teeth were the gift of the Overlord and the second he recognized that thought his entire body tensed in pleasure.
"You're so close," Assimilator said as he nuzzled and licked the sabredrone face of the restrained male. "I want to feel every inch of you inside me as you feel every inch of yourself get converted by him... by us..."
Vyrnen felt something get pulled off his neck as he saw the collar he had been wearing this entire time fall to floor next to them, but as the sabredrone straddled him with his tailhole above his own straining dick he felt no need to run. Why would he, he thought to himself with blissful desire, he was exactly where he needed to be. The rubber that was changing his nanites, covering his body both inside and outside the confines of the restraining chair, wasn't corrupting his programming... it was evolving it. It was so clear now, Vyrnen thought as he returned the kiss as best he could, straining in his confines to reciprocate the pleasure as the Assimilator slid down on his rubberized shaft while the tentacle penetrated his tailhole.
As the rubber encased every last nanite that Vyrnen had his defenses were completely eroded, the sabredrone programming infecting every last one. Though he was still himself his very nature had been altered to the point where being a nanite dragon felt like a foreign concept to him. As he flexed his rubber muscles he looked down to see that his body was just like the one on top of him, save for no stripes and a distinct lack of features on his body. He didn't even look like a drone, just a formless black and purple rubber creature as the Assimilator slid up and down his body. Sabredrone Vyrnen... the thought caused a shudder of pure euphoria to fire through his body as he embraced the thought...
