When the heat of Tina declined, both cooled down a bit as well. Jack and Tina still ran around holding hands and kissed a lot when they were alone, but they only engaged in sex around once a week.

Jack and Tina were now a pair officially and he referred her as his girl friend and introduced her to his parents, while she did the same with him and her parents. The parents understood each other well and soon Jack's father would go to bars with Tina's father, while their mothers meet regularly for shopping or just talking.

"We have to talk with you about the summer trip you did with Sophie, Lyra and Marie." His mother started.

The adults shared a few gazes and then looked back to him. "What now? That's what I think. It felt good and based on what the girls told me, their heat was also much easier and enjoyable this way."

The men had a hand on their head while the women shook their heads in disbelieve. Jack still was confused to the questions.

"I think we should have educated you about this earlier." His mother finally said and sat in front of him to look him into the eyes easier without him having to look up.

Jack looked up to the other adults, his aunt and uncle and the parents of Lyra and Marie. Their gazes also had softened, after they saw the genuine shock of the boy, who just discovered what he had done.

"If you did not know, there is no blaming you for it, I think." Said his aunt and sat next to him and put an arm around him. "I guess we are partly to blame as well for letting you go with them alone without making sure you knew about heat and what could happen." His mother whispered and caressed his hands.

His father cleared his throat and then he spoke softly. Jack could hear, that he also had a hard time to talk. "Son, we need to ask you this now. Did you do that with anyone else than these three girls?"

Jack looked up to his father and he did not notice the tears of shame in his eyes. His voice was low and a bit depressed. "Yes." He said and then there was a longer pause.

"I did... with two girls, Penny and Nina. You remember, the niece of Mrs. Carlson?" he said and after another short break he continued. "And with Tina." He added, gulping hard thinking about what he might have done to all these girls.

There was a bit of silence and the adults waited until Jack was over the first shock and calmed down. Then his father spoke again.

"I think we will have to talk about what to do next." When jack looked up, his father was not looking at him but to Mrs. Bellars, who nodded.

"You should go up in your room. The girls are there, and I am sure you also want to talk with them." He said, and Jack just nodded silently and got up out of the embrace of his aunt and with hanging ears he exited the living room, leaving the adults to their talk.

He heard his father say, that he would call Mr. Carlson and his mother responded that she would call the Arlingtons. Jack felt like his legs were made of stone and he went up the stairs slowly and with thoughts roaming in his head chaotically.

Jack took a while to process all that. He looked at the adults and took everything in that they told him and when they gave him a list of all the shores he would have, he looked over the list and imagined in his head how much work he would have to do.

There was no comment on the list or their suggestion, but he just nodded a few times and pulled the girl next to him, which was Nina, against his side lovingly.

He had mixed feelings. On the one hand, his head jumped when he heard that he would live with the girls from now on, on the other side he was not sure if he would ever manage to do all this work by himself.

"I know..." Jack felt a bit down now, that the happiness of the girls did not spread to him anymore. "I am just not sure..." he added hesitant. "Dad, I don't want any of them to be hurt. But what if I can't do it? What if I fail?" he asked and talked about what bothered him the whole evening.

"That does not sound like my son!" his father shouted with an artificial shock that was to obvious to be taken for true. "Hey Jack, don't worry too much. You know, we are all here for you and the girls." His father said and put an arm around his son.

"You do what you can and if there is something you can't do, you come to us, okay? Your mother and I could be there in ten minutes and we would not let you alone." He caressed the back of the boy and Jack felt like when he had been ten and his father comforted him after he had a big fight in school.

"Be confident and do your best. Be responsible and don't run away from your duties." His father whispered. "There is nothing more we ask of you. With that many girls it will be a lot, but you can do it. And whenever you need help, ask me or your mom. Ask Mr. and Mrs. Arlington. Ask the Carlsons, the Bellars or the Smith or ask your aunt and uncle. And you can also always talk to Mrs. Dunningham, whenever you need an adult to talk to."

Jack put his head against the chest of his father. He felt like the little boy, that admired his father back in elementary school and felt safe whenever he was in the arm of his father. Back then he always thought he could do anything, and his father had been the pillar of support for him.

And this moment, he knew that his father still was his pillar of support. He could count on his father and he wanted to make him proud.

"Thank you, dad!" he whispered, and father and son sat there under the moon and the stars, not saying any other word. Just sitting there next to each other, with the arms around each other's back until his mother came and told them that it was time to go to bed.
