#13 of Finding atlantis

This is a nice little follow up to Finding Atlantis. It's main function is to tie up one or two loose ends and provide just a bit of a cliffhanger. However, I don't intend to write a sequel right away, if ever.

Thanks everyone for the support while I was weaving this little tale of mine. It's helped me more than you know.

FYI, If you don't want to read the cliffhanger part, stop when the text changes.(you won't miss out on anything spectacular).

For President only._**

**_Mr. President, This message is regarding the recent human activities on planets outside your galaxy.

By now I am sure that you know that an attack is coming from outside your world. We have countered the threat for you, however there will be enemy ships crash landing in the mid Atlantic some time tomorrow. They are extremely large, and will create a sizable disturbence on impact. We recommend that all low lying coastal arias be evacuated. Tell the public what you will, but it is best that the they know as little as possible._**

**_You need not fear the crash site, however do not engage the enemy vessels. There are technologies at work that you do not understand. No good will come from it's exploration.

If you require further information, contact Mr, Collin Reynolds. He will be at the pentagon when you receive this message and can tell you all you need to know.

Take care.

The late Mr. Adam Dennis._**

The fox was sitting at his desk, working on a small black laptop. The room around him was dark, lit only by his computer screen and a small reading lamp at the corner of his sturdy desk. There were papers covering everything, some blueprints rolled up in the corner, but all were being ignored. The fox's paws tapped lightly over the keyboard. His orange furred paws were nimble an dexterous. He had quick, blue eyes that could spot a problem in a mechanism before it even existed. He was thin, but strong and lithe, his muscles toned form daily runs. He heard the door open, and paused to listen carefully, Even though he knew who it was.

"Are you coming to bed?" a smooth voice asked.

"In a minute." he replied. His voice slightly scratchy from talking all day at a local school. There were soft steps behind him, approaching his desk chair. Then an arm on his back.

"What are you working on?" the voice continued. It was soft and quiet, yet full of curiosity. A muzzle rubbed his ear, as the vixen looked over his shoulder.

"Remember that letter I wrote to the president? It turns out that he took my advice after all. He claimed that a meteor hit the earth all those years ago." he smiled a bit as another arm slid around his neck and hugged his shoulders.

"That's good." she answered.

"Yes, but it got me thinking that I should write down our story." at this he looked up into the vixen's deep green eyes. "I figured that maybe someone will find it some day and discover the truth. If nothing else, It makes for good fiction!" He chuckled.

"Well," the female continued. "The kits are asleep, and I'm not really tired just yet."

"Oh, How is Katy doing?" he asked.

"She's learning so fast. She lit her bulb the other day, now I can't get her to put it down!" she smiled.

"Like mother like daughter." he teased, kissing her playfully, "but it would be a shame to waste an opportunity like this."

As the vixen quickly conquered his attention, one arm slipped away from her embrace to fumble for the sleep button on his laptop. Then together they tiptoed down the hall to their bedroom, careful not to wake any little sleepers along the way. It had been too long since they had a night to themselves.

In the office, all was quiet for a few minutes, then the laptop whirred to life. The screen lit up. It displayed some of his most recent designs. An improved version of his original hyper-drive. The network light flickered briefly, then a message popped up. "File transfer completed successfully." The screen blanked itself again. The hard drives spinning to a stop, once more leafing the room in silence, save for the soft moans of muffled ecstasy lofting down the hall.
