Mage ch 8
#8 of Mage (Reboot & Reworked)
Okay, first off, I want to apologize for the long ass wait for the next chapter to be released. For quite a long time I felt not only burnt out, but also feeling like what I was doing was pointless until a friend of mine (you know who you are!) gave me a good pep talk to cheer me up.
Now, I marked this chapter adult since there's a slight sexual scene going on. Without further ado, enjoy and give feedback when it's needed! And if there's any tags that are missing, please do tell me.
Abducted (Pt 1)
"Justin's been what?!" David exclaimed over the phone, having caught what was spoken.
Xun stood stock still, his expression being one of pure shock at what he had just heard. His little brother, kidnapped? Without anyone noticing he was being taken away? Panic began to rise within him and for a moment, he almost forgot he had the phone close to his ear. "Dad?"
"I'm here. What's going on?" The older panda inquired, the tone in his voice saying he was worried and concerned as well, if not more than his son.
"I..." He hesitated, unsure if he should really tell his father what was happening. There was no way he could play it off like nothing happened since Damien was loud and clear. A low growl rumbled out, cursing mentally as he put a paw to his head. "I'll call you back."
"What?! Wait, Xun--" David began, but didn't get far as the phone was quickly hung up.
"I'm going to catch hell for that later." Xun mumbled to himself, knowing full well that he would for doing that, but there was no choice. He made a promise to not get his parents involved in any of this if he could help it. After putting the phone in his pocket did he look to Damien who's expressions were a mixture of panic, worry and anxiousness. "Did you see anyone who took him?"
Damien shook his head and shrunk back a little at the glare he was getting. "I'm sorry! We don't know what happened! I'm worried just as much as you are here!"
James raised a brow, then brought up his paws, addressing both husky and cheetah. "Whoa, Whoa, whoa...hold on now. You two sure the little dude isn't just hanging around somewhere in the halls or something?"
Cameron snorted derisively at the question. "Justin wouldn't do that. He's very serious when it comes to school and his grades so yes, we're very sure."
"And neither you guys, or anyone was around to see him being taken or anything?" The cougar questioned further, getting annoyed looks from both husky and cheetah.
"No! No one can exactly stay out in the halls for long anyway since school was still going on." Damien replied in a huff.
"And even then, it would cause widespread panic, which we do not want right now." Gwen cupped her chin, then look over at Damien and Cameron. "What about your teacher? Were they suspicious?"
Damien glanced at his friend, then back at the ferret. "He was, but thanks to Cameron charming him, we were able to persuade that nothing was wrong with no problem."
Gwen closed her eyes and sighed in relief. "Good. Justin will be very appreciative of this when we find out where he is and get him back. But anyway," her eyes settled onto the cougar, a hard frown having settled onto her face, "what are you doing here? This is literally none of your business so you should leave!"
James glowered at the girl. "It is my business when it comes to yin-yang here, so I'm staying!"
Xun blew a heavy sigh as he slapped a paw to his face with a groan, already getting annoyed. "As much as I want this idiot to leave, he's already heard enough so might as well let him. Besides, we might need his help." He gave a sideways glance at James, glaring. "Just don't do anything stupid."
"Yes, sir!" The cougar responded with his trademark grin.
"I don't rather enjoy the idea of having him around, but you bring a fair point.." Rowen said, also glaring at James with obvious anger like his boyfriend was, then turned his attention to Damien. "So how did this transpire exactly?"
"Before you answer that," a familiar voice spoke behind everyone, making them turn to see Jake standing nearby with a serious look on his face, "how about we discuss this more at another location?"
"What? Why? We should be out there looking for my little brother right now!" Xun protested, not liking the idea of having to wait while his sibling was in danger.
In answer to this, Jake sighed and shook his head. "I know that you wish to find Justin as soon as possible, but we're still on school grounds, unless you want to have all of us in trouble and delay this further."
"Wait, how do you know what's going on?" James questioned and got closer to the Australian shepherd, his eyes widening after getting into close proximity. "You're mundane!"
Cameron slapped a paw to his forehead. "You won't get much out of him but yes, he is, and he knows we're mages. How he knows, we have no idea."
"Right, now are we going to get a move on or not? The area is becoming quite vacant." Jake looked around, then turned his attention back to the group with an expectant look in his eyes.
There was no argument. The whole parking lot was almost empty as everyone had gone home for the day.
"Fine," the panda huffed and crossed his arms over his chest with a raised brow, "but where are we supposed to go? I can't exactly fit you all into my home. It's not really big and we're still grounded anyways."
"Oh, that's easy!" Gwen answered cheerily and nodded towards the lion. "We'll be going to Rowen's house. I've seen his place plenty of times since I go down the same road as him and plus, he's not far from me. It's huuuuuge!"
"So basically a mansion." Cameron stated and got a nod in response. "Well that's to be expected, but I would be sure--"
"Already on it." Rowen said, taking out his phone to make a call and walked away, but not too far from everyone.
As the lion was busy making arrangements, James walked up to the panda, his usual cocky smile replaced with a frown. Quickly did he hold up his paws the moment a growl emerged. "Whoa, I'm not here to flirt, I promise. I'm just worried about you is all."
For a good minute, Xun didn't reply, only stared at the cougar to make sure he kept his distance. "Why do you care? It's not like my brother or my feelings ever mattered to you in the first place, so why now?" He huffed, slightly wincing on the inside from the hurt look in James' eyes but held firm.
Just before an answer could come out of the cougar's mouth, Gwen appeared near Xun's side, looking skeptical. "Yeah, I wanna know too. Are you doing this just to butter him up? To smooth things over?"
"What? No!" James growled, apparently not keen on being accused like this as he gave a hard look at the ferret. After a minute or two, he let out a sigh. "Look, just because I'm popular doesn't mean I don't care about people and their safety. I want to know if this is true and rescue him just as much as you all do. And yeah, I'm a huge flirt, I get that but I can be serious when I need to be. Also, your brother and feelings do matter to me, otherwise I wouldn't have done what I did to get everyone off his back and I wouldn't be here right now."
"Hmph, you make valid points, but you're still an ass in my book." Gwen said after a moment of silence between the three of them.
James gave a wry smile. "And you're still a bitch in mine. I'm not going anywhere, like I said."
Xun didn't know what to say, let alone think after hearing that. "Umm...thanks, I guess."
The cougar nodded with a bright smile on his lips, then turned his head as Rowen strode back over to the group. "So what's up? This happening or not?"
"My dad says it's alright, as long as no one makes a mess or anything." Rowen answered as he put his phone back in his pocket, then glanced at Xun with a worried look in his eyes. "I'm not sure if it would be a good idea for you to come. You should--"
"I'm going." Xun interjected, staring hard into the beautiful amethyst eyes he quickly became acquainted with. When he saw the lion opened his mouth, he quickly shook his head. "I know it's risky, but I just don't want my parents involved and I don't want to waste any time on finding my brother. He's my responsibility. I'll worry about their anger and punishment when the time comes."
Hesitation showed in the lion's eyes and body language, not at all sure on how to proceed until a heavy sigh came and he slowly nodded. "Alright. Let's go, then."
With that said, everyone climbed into their vehicles. Jake, Cameron and Damien decided to go with Gwen.
As they drove down the road, Xun's mind swirled with scenario after the next, each one being worse than the last. He was scared, terrified even, of what was happening with his little brother and hoped they would find him in time. "Everything will be okay..." he mumbled to himself.
After a minute or two and finally being able to focus did the lion's home come into view. Gwen was right about it being huge, for the outside was wide enough to fit probably a whole army inside. Naturally, there was a spacious garage attached to the side.
``I know he said his dad was rich, but I had no idea how much!' Xun thought as he parked his car nearby, watching everyone get out before he did the same and joined up with the rest, his eyes never leaving the house.
Noticing this, Rowen smiled, letting out a chuckle. "Wait until you see the inside. Just promise not to get too jealous."
Damien snorted, crossing his arms over his chest. "Dude, I wouldn't blame him if he did! I mean, look at this! Your house is way bigger than mine! You're loaded!"
"Well he did mention he was rich, so it's not that big a surprise." Cameron piped in with a casual shrug.
"Bet it doesn't have a pool..." James grumbled low enough for no one to hear him.
A devilish grin spread on the lion's lips after his ears perked up, more than likely having heard the comment. "Oh, but it does and much more." He snickered at the glare he received.
Jake closed his eyes and placed a paw to his forehead, a small sigh escaping. "I don't mean to be rude, but let's not forget why we came here please."
"Yeah, we need to find Justin pronto." Gwen said, agreeing with the Australian shepherd.
"Ah, right. Sorry." Rowen produced a set of keys before walking up to the door and unlocking it. After opening it did he step foot inside, beckoning for everyone else to come in.
"Whoa...this is amazing!" Xun breathed out in sheer awe, his eyes wide as he took in everything, from a grandeur chandelier at the very top to various pictures and mosaics dotting the walls.
Just from standing at the entrance, it was enough to know that Rowen was in very good hands here. The tiles on the floor were polished marble, splashed with white just like how it is outside. There were many expensive and priceless items and this was only one section. The grand hall they were in was simply beautiful and luxurious.
"Welcome home, young master." Two sets of voices announced, alarming everyone of their presence, revealing a male and female red panda in respectable butler and maid outfits.
"Thank you, Travis and Sharil." The lion nodded to them and looked over his shoulder to the group. "These two are my dad's servants. They're very friendly and will help you with anything you need."
"Any friend of the young master's is a friend of ours." Travis said with a bow of his head, a warm smile on his lips as he took in everyone's stunned expressions.
"Oh my, so many! Things will definitely get livelier around here now!" Sharil giggled, the composure she had just moments ago suddenly disappearing.
Before anyone could properly introduce themselves, Jake stepped up to the two. "I'm sorry, but is there a room that has more than enough space for magical means?"
Travis was the first to respond. "Yes, down in the basement there's a training area that young master often visits. Is that satisfactory?" He smiled, then quickly shifted his gaze to Rowen with a raised brow. After getting a curt nod did he relax and focus his attention back to the canine.
"That'll do nicely." Jake looked over his shoulder, sweeping his eyes among the group with a scrutinizing gaze. "Is there anyone here that has an item of Justin's I can borrow and has the ability to scry?"
"Huh?" Xun raised a brow, an expression of curiosity present on his face. Just what was this guy planning to do? "We can all scry. What do you need that for?"
"To track." Cameron answered and dug into one of his pockets to produce the school's pin, immediately getting a reaction out of the panda. "This came off of Justin's uniform, either by himself or whatever or whoever tried to nab him."
James frowned. "You guys are serious. So he really was kidnapped. Wait...is that blood?" He asked as he took a step closer to inspect the item, all the while getting everyone's attention.
Xun's eyes widened and his body began to tense, paws balling up into fists as he saw that indeed, there were small but noticeable flecks of blood. A dangerous growl rumbled out of him, startling everyone. "I'm going to kill the son of a bitch that did this to him."
"I'm sure he's okay, hun." Gwen said and reached out to gently put a paw on his arm, attempting to reassure and calm him down.
"Yeah, he may not look it, but he's a fighter." Damien chuckled, his smile slightly forced. It was obvious to know he was still worried about the young panda and his whereabouts.
"That's all well and good, but we don't know how long Justin has." Cameron remarked and walked up next to Jake, placing the item in his offered paw. "In any case, I'll volunteer to help."
Jake inspected the item, his brows furrowing as he frowned but nodded all the same. "Alright, this will hasten our efforts, but only slightly. It will take some time, but--"
"How much time?" Xun interrupted, ignoring a hard look from the shepherd. "Will you be able to find him soon?" He glanced at Cameron for a moment, narrowing his eyes. "Is one mage even enough to do what you're going to do?"
"Yes, one is plenty, and that all depends on how smart this creature is. We have to assume it took cautionary measures on cleaning up its tracks and has probably cloaked an area it's hiding itself and your brother in." Jake explained as he placed the pin in his pocket, then focused his attention to Travis. "We're ready."
"Right this way, gentlemen." Travis said, then turned to lead them to their destination, but stopped the moment Xun's voice rang out.
"Just wait a minute! Why can't we come? And how do you know it was some sort of creature and not just a person?" The panda inquired, wanting to know just how this would even work and how the dog knew what took his brother. Not only that, but he wanted to be sure if the canine was really going to do what he said.
Jake sighed and looked over his shoulder, the tone in his voice saying he was getting tired of being held up. "Call it a hunch, and because this requires absolute concentration. If we so much as get distracted by the tiniest thing, we'll have to start all over again. I know you have doubts, but you'll just have to trust me. Now is there anything else?"
Xun opened his mouth, then quickly closed it, his eyes going to the floor before shaking his head. "No...go on and do your thing. Just...find him as fast as you can." He replied, almost whispering.
With nothing else said, Travis resumed what he was doing, leaving the rest in the entrance hall with Sharil.
"And now the waiting game." Damien sighed before perking up instantly, his tail wagging in full speed as he looked up at Rowen with excitement in his eyes. "So when are we going to get a grand tour?"
~ ~ ~
Being lead through a corridor, Cameron's thoughts swirled with each step, his curiosity growing. Would they be able to find Justin in time? How would this search go about?
"I know what you're thinking." The shepherd said out of the blue, startling Cameron enough to jar him out of his own mind and look at him to notice a small smile on his lips. "Don't worry, I'll explain once we get to where we need to go."
Travis' ears perked up during the small bit of conversation, but otherwise didn't comment as he resumed his pace. After turning a corner and going down a flight of stairs did he stop at a room to the right. "Here we are, gentlemen. The room is unlocked so go right on in."
As Jake did just that, Cameron took in the surroundings of the basement area. He was surprised to see that it wasn't dirty or had any dust. It appeared just as clean as on the upper floor. There were five doors along the hallway, each door closed. "Thank you."
"Of course. Is there anything else you would require?" The male panda inquired, waiting patiently for an answer.
"No, that'll be all. Thank you for your service, Travis." Jake replied as he gently set his satchel down and began rummaging through it.
Bowing his head, the red panda closed the door, leaving the two alone..
"Wow, this room is bigger than my living room and kitchen combined." Cameron remarked, his eyes taking in the large, empty white space before looking over to see the shepherd had pulled out a small mirror, a stick of chalk and two bottles of water.
"I'll admit that this is more than I expected, but I'm not going to complain." Jake said and chuckled at the confused expression that was apparent on the other boy's face. "I always come prepared for anything."
"Yeah, I can see that captain obvious. What I'm surprised about is you actually getting away with this. How the hells did no one confiscate your bag?"
Jake didn't answer right away as he grabbed the chalk-stick. After getting himself into a crouching position, he began to draw on the floor and within moments, there was a drawing of a pentagram. As he dug into his pocket and brought out Justin's pin did he place it directly in the middle. "Well if you must know, it's because during my first few days of attending school, I never brought them with me. After awhile of them not bothering anymore to check and see if I had anything potentially dangerous, that's when I decided to have them in my bag."
A moment of silence passed between them, the cheetah giving the canine a flat look before slapping a paw to his head. "I need to find better friends."
Hearing that comment, a light chuckle escaped Jake as he set the mirror next to the pin before sitting down. "Good luck with that. Ah, that's right, I have to explain what's going to happen."
"Yeah, you do." Cameron said and sat down next to him. "So will this ability of ours help you any?"
"Yes, it will help my search efforts tremendously. If I tried to do this by myself, it would take a whole day and I know no one, especially Xun, would like knowing that. But with a mage who can scry, it would take at least an hour or two." Jake explained, letting the knowledge be absorbed before cupping his chin with a hard frown coming on.
"You're thinking about how it's hiding, aren't you?" Cameron asked, getting a nod in response.
"Yes. It could be using a powerful invisibility spell, or at the very least an illusion to throw us completely off. But that's where you come in, young prodigy." The shepherd once again chuckled at the shocked look he received. "Had you not chosen to come yourself, I would have made the move. I know you have amazing abilities that surpass most mages at your age and then some. I just don't know why you're choosing to hide it from others."
A hard frown settled on the cheetah as he stared at Jake, his eyes narrowing. "I have my reasons, just as you do. And as much as I want to know how you knew that, I know you won't tell me. Regardless, we don't have time to waste."
Nodding in assent, Jake focused his attention to the items that sat in the pentagram. "All I'm going to say is that you should stop holding back. Now, are you ready?"
At the mere question, hesitation and suspicion came all at once, but Cameron quickly turned those thoughts away as he shook his head furiously and took a deep breath. "Yeah."
"Okay, I'll focus on the ring while you channel your magic to the mirror." Jake said, then closed his eyes.
For a moment, nothing was happening, just pure silence, the very air still. Then suddenly, the canine's whole body began to emit a faint, golden light. Cameron blinked rapidly, his mouth slightly agape at what he was witnessing, not at all paying attention to anything else around him until he heard small, clattering sounds. Turning, he saw that it was the pin and before he knew it, that very same item slowly started to float in mid-air, becoming surrounded by the same light.
'Just what are you?' The cheetah thought as he kept a steady gaze before snapping himself out of it, remembering what he was supposed to do. With a wary glance at Jake, he raised a paw towards the mirror. A few moments passed until a blue light formed around the mirror, then slowly yet surely an image began to appear. 'I hope this works.'

Rowen watched his lover pace back and forth. It had been for over thirty minutes since this started, and he was getting worried. At first, during the tour, he thought the panda was fine. But now that they were in the living room, it was obvious that this whole thing was eating him up. "Xun, please sit down. You're stressing yourself out."
"I don't want to sit and calm down!" Xun snapped, quickly wincing at the hurt look that crossed the lion's eyes and turned around, growling in frustration. "Sorry, but I just...it's my fault. I should have done something..."
"How the hells is any of this your fault?" The lion countered as he stood up, his own anger coming in at what he just heard. "You couldn't have prevented this! No one could have! What, did you think you could follow your brother around while he attended his classes?"
"I have to agree with him on this one, hun." Gwen said, her own face contorted into a frown as she shook her head. "You shouldn't be blaming yourself for something that was out of your control."
Damien nodded. "Yeah, besides, how were we supposed to know it came into the school? This sort of thing is rare to begin with."
James raised a curious brow. "I have no idea what you guys are talking about, but I'm guessing it's the...creature?" He inquired, getting a flat look from everyone. "What? I'm just getting into the loop of whatever is really going on. Can you blame me?"
Ignoring the comment, Xun sighed and shook his head sadly. "No, I have every right to feel this way. And I'm saying that because I didn't realize it at the time."
This gave Rowen some pause as he tilted his head, a confused expression on his face. "What are you trying to say? What are you getting at?" He looked over to see that the rest were just as curious as he was about this.
"What I'm getting at, is that I felt...something, but only for a quick second." The panda replied, casting a worried glance at everyone before averting his gaze. "Sort of thankful really, because no one in art class noticed. But I ignored it, thinking it was just some false alarm."
Gwen cupped her chin, the gears in her head turning as she seemed to be contemplating something. "Jake did mention a creature before he went off with Cameron. Maybe you two sensed the exact same thing with no idea what it was?"
"That could be possible..." Rowen mused as he crossed his arms over his chest, his mind burning with more questions on the vague and mysterious mundane. Just what powers does he have?
"Chalk another one up for him on being really vague and somewhat creepy." Damien huffed, getting everyone, save for James to murmur their agreement. "Although I find it kinda cool."
"Right...uhh...can someone please fill me in? I feel like I'm missing something very important here." James said, once again getting flat stares but he ignored them with a roll of his eyes. "Look, I won't spill anything."
"Yeah, I have a hard time believing that." The ferret gave him a scrutinizing look. "I bet the moment when this is all over, you'll be blabbing to everyone in school."
Rowen nodded in agreement. He didn't know the cougar well enough, but even still, there was the matter of trust. "I highly doubt he could keep a secret to save his life."
James let out a groan of annoyance and slapped a paw to his forehead. "Cut me some damn slack here! I know how I am, but believe it or not, I'm no damn gossip!" He turned his full attention to the panda who was staring at him with wide eyes. "And what do you mean you 'felt' something? Did you prepare a spell to sense what was in the area?"
Xun shook his head in response. "No, it's...it's hard to explain. Even I have a hard time fully grasping on what it is I can do. I just...knew something was coming."
"Hmm, okay...and what is it that you can do?" The cougar inquired with a raised brow, genuinely curious.
In that moment, everyone cast worried glances to one another, unsure if sharing any of this would do them any good or not. Rowen was definitely afraid of his lover's power becoming public knowledge, for there would be no end to the endless questions from paparazzi and testing from the Arcane Council. He looked at Xun, who in turn looked back at him and nodded. "Are you sure?"
"Positive. He's telling the truth when he says he's no gossip. I've told him some silly things when we were freshmen and no word of it ever came back full circle." The panda replied, giving a warm smile toward the lion before turning his attention to James and started to relay everything that had been happening up until now, with the help of everyone else filling in some gaps.
As the explanation came to a close, James' eyes were wide, mouth gaping open in shock and awe. "Whoa, Yin-Yang...I had no idea! It's almost hard to believe, really. Like, holy shit! And that assassination attempt...how could you fall asleep and not be scared shitless? I mean, they could have come back and kill you in your sleep!"
Xun scratched the back of his head, a sheepish smile on his lips as his cheeks blushed red. "Yeah...I wasn't really thinking about that. I know I should have been terrified out of my mind, yet somehow, I just...wasn't."
"You should have been, because you almost died. And who knows when that's going to happen again." Gwen said, shaking her head in a disapproving manner. "I meant to say this when you revealed that, but it slipped my mind."
"Well I'll be more careful next time." The panda replied, then let out a sigh. "How long is this going to take though?"
"I'm not sure, but Xun, you mind if I talk to you alone?" Rowen asked, getting a jealous glare from James.
"Huh? Umm sure, I guess." Xun answered and before he could question any further, his paw was grabbed and already, the two of them were leaving the living room.
Rowen kept his mouth shut as he lead the way, making sure not to drag him too hard. Honestly, he wasn't angry but he wanted to address some things that were on his mind. As they reached his room, he made sure to shut the door but not lock it in case someone needed them. After doing that, he turned to face the panda. "Sorry, but I want to know if it was a good call for us to tell him all of that."
Xun narrowed his eyes and tilted his head as if what he heard made no sense. "Of course it was. I know he's an arrogant ass and I don't like him anymore than you do, but I couldn't exactly get rid of him. And I can see that he wants to help since this is pretty serious."
"Or he could possibly be lying and would more than likely share the information we just spilled out." Rowen countered, crossing his arms over his chest.
"What?!" The panda exclaimed before slapping a paw to his head. "Oh, come on! He won't do that. I already said why he wouldn't, so trust him on this."
"That was freshman year!" The lion growled. "And just because he didn't share whatever it was you told him years ago doesn't mean he's not going to keep this kind of information to himself."
"Rowen, why are you so--ohhh, I get it." Xun slowly nodded his head, a smile slowly coming to his lips as he giggled. "You're jealous."
Hearing that, Rowen's cheeks blushed and he growled even more. "No, I'm not! That's ridiculous! I don't trust him is all..."
The smile Xun had grew even wider as he came up close to the lion and poked his chest a few times. "Uh huh. You can't fool me." He giggled even more as he saw him get completely flustered.
"I'm--uuugh, fine. Although I'll admit, he's quite the looker...and don't you dare tell him I said that or I'll beat your ass!" Rowen said, a threatening growl escaping before halting himself and realizing what he had just said.
It was too late to take back those words as a mischievous smirk spread upon Xun's lips and a lustful growl rumbled from deep in his throat. "Oh, is that so? Don't threaten me with a good time, kitty cat."
Rowen tried to think of some way to get himself out of the situation he put himself in, but it was quickly becoming a losing battle as blood rushed into his nether regions. And it definitely didn't help as the panda touched his chest again before slowly moving down to his pants, cupping his contained balls and moving them around, eliciting a low growl.
Before things could escalate any further, a series of knocks came to the bedroom door and a familiar voice called out. "Young master? May I come in?"
The two boys sighed in quiet frustration and quickly stood separate from each other. "Yes, Travis. The door's unlocked." Rowen answered, watching the door open to reveal the red panda.
"Forgive me if I interrupted anything, but the person of interest has been found and--" Travis stopped speaking as he quickly moved out of the way from being run over by Xun. "W-wait! You don't know where the training area is!"
"Then hurry up and guide me! Come on!" Xun shouted back, not even bothering on sitting still as he continued to run through the hall.
"That one sure is lively." Travis remarked with a soft sigh and glanced at the lion. "You sure know how to pick them."
"That I do." Rowen responded, a proud smile on his lips as he left his room and shut the door. "We should do as he says, otherwise he might get lost and possibly destroy something."
Travis shuddered and quickened his steps.
~ ~ ~
"So where is he? Is he okay? Is he hurt?" Xun asked, bombarding both Cameron and Jake with questions the moment he heard the news. He was amazed by the size of the training room, but as of this moment it was the last thing on his mind.
"Be at ease, he is fine. I was able to not only find where Justin is located, but also see the state he was in thanks to our friend here." Jake answered, nodding to the cheetah who merely snorted and looked elsewhere.
"Yeah, yeah...you owe me for this. Anyway, he's in an abandoned warehouse that's not far from downtown." Cameron explained and swept his gaze across the group. "I didn't see anything else other than whatever it is that's holding him hostage, but we should still be cautious."
"Alright!" James shouted out in excitement, pumping a fist in the air. "Finally gonna get some action!"
Gwen sighed in relief. "Thanks the gods we found him so soon...I was so worried."
Damien cracked his knuckles, looking ready to go at a moment's notice. "I'm about ready to kick some ass for what it did to Justin."
Xun chuckled and looked over to the husky. "You and me both."
"Well we have a destination, but what exactly are we facing here? Did you get a good look at it?" Rowen asked, directing the question to the cheetah.
"For a few seconds after I pierced through its illusion, yes and it's an incubus." Cameron answered, getting a confused look in the process. "Yeah I know, but this one apparently likes men."
"How...odd..." Rowen blinked for a few moments before shaking his head.
"Strange or not, I'm killing the damn thing." Xun growled and began to leave the room before anyone could stop him. As he stepped out and made his way to the upstairs area, his bracelet started to react. 'I'll save you. I swear it!'
