Calvech and Dobrica finish with their recruitment and get a reward in the form of taking out one of the workers out to lunch, a synthetic creature that seems to know a lot about the situation that is going on.

Calvech breathed a sigh of relief as he finally got the last of the trainers put into their proper place, closing the door to try and drown out the sound of a dozen spandex and leather creatures all having an orgy with one another. None of them had even asked about the base pay, but at this moment he doubted that any of them even cared. "They probably will when their rent's due," Calvech said to himself with a chuckle. "I suppose I should go see if Dobrica is done with her... his client yet, it would be good for us to go over and see how Modino is doing with their updated layout too."

As he thought about the spandex bull he turned the corner and saw the creature standing a few feet ahead of him directing people to put down boxes of exercise equipment and televisions down for installation. "You guys definitely work quick," Calvech stated, the black bull turning around and looking at him with those glowing eyes. "This is definitely going to totally legitimize your operation. Also I got your trainers all ready for you, but... I may have turned them into various leather and spandex creatures that are rutting each other silly in one of the private rooms."

"Oh good, they're getting acclimated then," Modino stated simply as he looked back down at his checklist, then at the supplies being brought in. "Hey, since we cancelled a few other clients in order to get all this new stuff put in I was wondering if you and Dobrica would be willing to take the one hooking up all our satellite feeds out for a bit? Haleon is doing us a solid lending us one of his electrician guys so we can send a subtle hypnotic message for people who are susceptible to want to try the... more interesting aspects of our fitness center."

"So you just want us to take this guy out for lunch or something?" Calvech asked, the bull nodding in response. "I mean, it sounds simple enough. Wait a second though, I thought you guys didn't want help from your brothers or something like that?"

"This is something different," Modino explained. "While it would have been a bit embarrassing to not even get this place up off the ground without one of our brother's help we don't feel that way about something that one of them is specialized in. For example Haleon is a genius when it comes to electronics so a lot of us call on him to help us out if we're implementing something with an electrical or display component."

"Welp, I'm never watching television again..." the stallion stated, which caused the bull to chuckle.

"You'd be better off avoiding video games instead," Modino clarified. "Anyway if you could do that for us that would be fantastic, that way we can keep going with this and get the rest of our soft opening clients in here. Whatever you do just make sure that he's the one paying, don't let him sucker you into wasting your money."

The purple stallion nodded and looked around for Dobrica, eventually finding the hybrid in the employee break room watching television. "Oh, Calvech, you are not going to believe this," he said as he turned it off and got up from the couch. "I literally got to watch someone make a clone of themselves, two spandex cheetahs that basically look and act and talk the same. I think Beck still knows who he is though, otherwise it would be hard for them to turn back I suppose."

Calvech nodded and told him about the trainers he watched turn one another into muscular leather moose and horses, as well as spandex bulls and caribou, then informed him of the mission that he had just been given. When Dobrica realized that they were going outside she changed into her female attire, knowing what was going to happen when they stepped over the threshold to the outside. After all the insanity they had just witnessed, and taken part in, they needed a break as they stepped out into the fresh air. Calvech paused for a bit to allow the orcajay to adjust when her boobs ballooned out and the cock stretching her panties reformed back into her vagina. Once everything was back the way it was they waited for the electrician to join them.

As several minutes passed they began to wonder if they were running behind, only for both of them to nearly jump up in the air as something landed on the ground next to them. Their jaws opened slightly as they saw the metallic bird person stand back up, his wings collapsing on themselves as the glowing lines of electricity pulsated. The bright red and silver metal glinted in the light as the creature asked if they were the ones taking him out, the two nodding as they continued to stare in shock. Finally Calvech found the fortitude to speak again and asked him what his name was, the snyth stating his name was Falco before walking down the path back towards the pier.

The metal bird man said surprisingly little as they showed him around the pier, though his head was constantly moving and scanning his surroundings. It appeared that no one else seemed to notice the robot bird walking among them, which made sense given everything they've seen so far. If identical spandex cheetahs could go about their business after being a bear and human it wasn't too much of a stretch to have a mechanical creature go unnoticed. Eventually they brought him to a place that sold decent burgers as well as a few other items, Dobrica and Calvech sitting on one side of the booth while Falco sat on the other.

"So..." Dobrica said after they had ordered, of which Falco had gotten a surprising amount. "Calvech tells me that you work for someone named... Haleon?"

"That is correct," Falco replied, his tone electronically altered slightly to give him an otherworldly tone. "Master Haleon has allowed me to come here today in order to assist Lord Santer and Lord Modino with their project."

"That is quite formal," Calvech stated. "I know that they're creatures from another planet or something, but are they some sort of gods that you need to call them that? Because that's not the impression that we got when we were hanging around them."

"Please clarify," Falco stated, his head continuing to twitch about. "What is your relation to Lord Santer and Lord Modino?"

"Oh... I guess we... work for them?" Dobrica said with a slight shrug. "They caught us peeking in when they were still putting the place together and in exchange for letting us out of there without becoming one of their minions or something like that we are... helping them settle into this world, since they're not from here."

To both Dobrica and Calvech's surprise the movements of the synth falcon suddenly became less jerky and far smoother, the mechanical creature breathing a sigh of relief as he leaned against the table. "Well thank goodness for that," he said as he took his other hand and wrapped it around the water glass they had gotten, taking a long drink from it before setting it back down. "Here they told me you were able to see through the guise of the Nexus and I thought that meant you were just two ordinary joes that they were keeping around for some reason and that you didn't know about all this."

The two were still slightly shell shocked over the sudden change in the synth's demeanor, especially since the secretive nature that Falco exhibited was a far cry from the rather blatant show of power the two nexus creatures had. It also appeared that this creature had a lot of knowledge about what was going on, and unlike Santer and Modino he seemed willing to share. Once he had gotten done flagging down a waitress to ask for two pieces of pie to be served as dessert along with their meal the two asked Falco if they could pick his brain for a bit, which he wholeheartedly agreed to.

"So... I'm really not sure where to start with all this," Calvech stated as Falco rubbed the inside of his metal beak with a toothpick. "Can you tell us what Santer and Modino are exactly and why they're trying to build a fitness center here of all things?"

"Well to give you the entire lore of what the nexus creatures are would take a few more years then I care to sit here and explain," Falco said as he raised his hands in the air. "But I'll try to give you the cliff notes version of it so you can at least attempt to wrap your heads around it. Now most creatures have some concept of the universe, or even the multiverse, now imagine the thing that contains the multiverse and you have what is called the Nexus Realm. Now along with everything and everyone else that's been created within this realm there are ten creatures that live in these pockets of space between the nexus, and they are called, for lack of a better word, Nexus creatures. Lord Santer and Lord Modino are two of those ten creatures, and they're building a fitness center here because they want to spread the influence of their pocket dimension to this planet."

"But why are they turning people into other creatures?" Dobrica interjected before the stallion could ask another question. "And why the spandex and leather?"

"Spandex and leather are their archetypes," Falco explained. "Much like my master is all about technology and birds so that is what our forms typically are, sort of their mark on us. When they have minions of their archetypes the nexus seems to recognize us as belonging to them and they can gain strength from our energy. The more minions they have, the more energy they get, so they create things the lure people more likely to join with their archetype and thus can get energy from them... they really don't even have to be their true minions, just be transformed by them."

The two wanted to ask more but at that moment the first round of their food arrived and Falco suddenly only had eyes for what was laid out in front of him. As he began to scarf down the first of nearly half a dozen dishes he ordered it gave the stallion and orca-jay a chance to talk amongst themselves. With all this new information both were suddenly feeling very leery of what they were doing. Between the spandex dragon, the trainers, and the two cheetahs they had created a lot of potential minions for those two, and the more they work with them the more they're honing their ability to take people in this world.

There was a bit of a break between the first and second round of food, at least for Falco, and as he sat there digesting they asked how such creatures could operate and no one try to strike back against them. The synth bird informed them that there have been many that have attempted to exterminate the nexus creatures, but despite the ten attempting to gain control of one another they always protect their own, including their minions. When they tried to pry on Haleon and just how Falco fit into his realm he gave a rather long story about how he was a computer programmer that loved creating things that messed with software, bad and good alike, and one day one of his programs crossed into the robot eagle's realm. The next thing he knew he was sucked through his computer screen and turned into a robot bird himself.

"But don't you miss it?" Dobrica asked, having to wait for a few minutes after round two of food had come and gone. "Your old life? You must have had friends, family, a job... they must really miss you."

"Actually, they don't even know I exist," Falco clarified, Dobrica and Calvech both looking at him with wide eyes. "I mean, it makes sense, when they pull you out of the universe like that, they don't want to leave a void in your place. I'm sure once those two get that place up and running, you'll have people no longer existing left and right... though since you've been influenced by a nexus creature you're probably going to remember them."

"But... that's not fair!" Dobrica said angrily. "They can't just take people like that!"

"Take people?" Falco said in question, looking between the two before a smile started to form on his beak. "Wow, Santer and Modino really left you guys in the dark, didn't they? You can't really blame them, they're the second youngest of the brothers, with the only ones younger than them being Jerkah. Now if you want to know how a smooth operator works and you happen to be a fan of rubber then I would recommend-"

"Hold on," Calvech interrupted. "You need to tell us what's going on here, otherwise Dobrica and I have just been helping two monsters snatch people from our planet to become their minions or slaves or something."

The aloof nature of the synth falcon suddenly turned deadly serious, to the point where the entire atmosphere of the booth they were in shifted significantly as Falco pointed a fork at them. "Now let's get one thing straight here fleshbags," he said in a threatening tone. "You should count your lucky stars if you ever get the chance to have your desires fulfilled by one of those creatures you so callously call monsters; not only would I choose time and time again to become a minion of Haleon but I have never once looked back, nor have I heard of another doing the same. If you really think that you are working for such evil then you should tell those two to their face that you can no longer be a part of this... but before you do why don't you ask those that they've already influenced. Until then you should get out of my sight, you've sickened me all the way down to the very pit of my stomach."

There was a moment of silence between the three, the falcon continuing to stare at them even as the waitress came over and put the two slices of pie in front of the synth. Without breaking eye contact Falco took the fork he had been brandishing and brought it down, cutting himself a piece of the dessert and putting it into his mouth. As he slowly chewed, he took his wing and pointed it out towards the door, Dobrica and Calvech getting the hint and sliding out of the booth. They left the metallic bird in the diner and went out to the pier, Calvech leaning against the railing and Dobrica pressed against the nearby lamp post.

"Well, that certainly could have gone better..." the orca-jay said as she looked out over the water. "Is it weird that I feel bad for accusing Modino and Santer? Even after knowing what they've done to those people?"

"Maybe Falco is right," the stallion replied with a sigh. "I know that we didn't exactly get on the right foot with them but too be fair we were also trespassing, plus I have to admit... there was something highly erotic about everything we did in there. Maybe we are being too hard on them?"

The gaze of the two went over towards the fitness center that sat there, shining in the light like a jewel on the other side of the pier. Had they made it so that everyone could see it yet, or were those that passed by them looking at them staring off into an empty space in the distance? For both of them they had a hard time knowing what was real and what was in their head, or part of his Nexus realm that was just explained to them.

"Well, now what do we do?" Dobrica asked. "We've certainly done enough that I think we've paid off our debt of trespassing on their property, and I'm sure they're on the right track to open it by themselves that they won't need our help anymore. Plus they're all-powerful space aliens, how much trouble could they possibly get into?"

"I don't know..." Calvech said, scratching his cheek. "I feel like there's a lot of work left to do there, and for some reason I feel strangely... invested. Like I really want to see them succeed even knowing everything I know."

"Yeah... me too..." Dobrica agreed. "Of course, if we want to do this you know what we're going to have to do first, right?"

Calvech agreed and went back over to the diner, coming up to the door just as the synth falcon was pushing it open to leave. "Hey Falco, Dobrica and I were talking about it and we just wanted to say..." the stallion's words trailed off as he suddenly noticed the half a dozen boxes that the creature was carrying next to him. "Are those... six whole pies?"

"Yes, yes they are," Falco said defiantly. "It turns out your words sickened me so much that it looped all the way back around to hungry again. Ergo, six whole pies."

"Anyway," Dobrica interjected. "We just wanted to apologize for what we said, we just got caught up in the moment and with everything that we were finding out our minds went to conclusions that they shouldn't have. Modino and Santer seem like good... people, and we want to continue helping them out, so if you could not tell them about this we would be eternally grateful."

To their surprise the bird just smiled and, after setting down his boxes of pies, patted them both on the shoulder. "It's hard when you're first stepping into an unknown world like this one," he stated. "I know they like to be mysterious about their origins and where they came from, but if you just have a similar discussion with them like the one you had with me then I'm sure you'll find the answers that will put you at ease so you can enjoy yourselves. There's nothing quite like working with these guys, and even if you don't become their minions if they're willing to bring you in on something like this I would still count yourselves extraordinarily lucky."

Once more the two thanked Falco and walked back with him towards the fitness center, though somewhere along the way he had vanished into thin air when they looked and saw him no longer by their side. It didn't quite matter to them, the horse and orca-jay had other things on their mind as they went back inside the fitness center. After going into the employee area so that Dobrica could once more change into looser fitting clothing that allowed for the bulge in his groin, they went up to the office area that Santer and Modino shared. The two could hear them rummaging about inside and Calvech knocked on the door frame before poking his head in, seeing Santer inside motioning for them to come in.

"If it isn't our two favorite co-managers," the black leather horse said as he looked up from his computer towards them. "I've been doing some research after our last talk and have been finding out some fascinating things about this area that admittedly both Modino and I had overlooked when we first came here. But enough about me, what brings you two up here, did you have any issues with Falco?"

"No no, he's a great guy," Dobrica said as he sat down with Calvech, the muscular leather creature putting his elbows on his desk while looking at them. "We actually had a nice chat about a couple of things, including the reason why you guys are doing all this in the first place. He told us though that if we really wanted to get the entire story we should get it, ah, from the horse's mouth so to speak."

The two weren't sure how Santer was going to react, watching the horse lean back in his chair with a small smile playing on his face. "I suppose it really doesn't pay for us to hide anything from you two after already seeing what's going on here," the horse mused. "I assume that our little bird friend gave you the short version of what Modino and I are and what we do?"

"You could say that," Calvech replied. "You are nexus creatures that feed off of energy that comes from those that you transform?"

"That certainly is the short version," Santer said with a chuckle. "And for the most part that's true, though most people tend to get hung up on that detail and not the explanation behind it. I'll try not too overlap too much with what Falco said but we do get our energy from those that we convert, however it's not as simple as just turning someone into spandex or leather and whisking them away. If we were to do something like that the creature would struggle against the transformation and, as such, resist the pull of the nexus taking their energy and giving it to us. My brothers and I have... how do you say... evolved our methods to make sure that we convert those whom we can give their greatest desires too, and as such are so grateful that they willingly give us their energy and usually serve us as our minions as well."

"Hell of a trade-off," Dobrica stated. "I mean, I know that you guys obviously have people who do it considering we just had lunch with one of them, but it's still hard to believe that someone would just give themselves to you because they have a fetish for zentai or leather."

"Often times we are able to give them something they wouldn't even be able to dream of getting in their realm," Santer explained before gesturing to Dobrica. "For instance, I know that while it's not exactly at the top of your list the fact that you have so easily shifted from female to male is something that quite a few people would trade everything for. To be fair though some are more casual than others, which is why we set up locations like this to gather and convert people without having to take them back to our realm, kind of like bringing a small piece of our realm here."

"But wouldn't it just be easier to just go in and change a person's desires to suit your needs?" Calvech asked. "Not to give you any ideas or anything but this seems like quite a lot of work just to lure people who like leather, spandex, wrestling, and working out into one place."

Santer chuckled and reached into his desk, the two leaning forward slightly in curiosity as he pulled out a peach and showed it to them. "It doesn't quite work like that," he said before biting into the fruit and then showing them the exposed pit. "Almost all creatures are a lot like this peach; there's a lot of this fleshy stuff that you can do what you want with but in the core of all people there is a hard, unchangeable set of beliefs. My brothers and I know how to see these core beliefs and even bring them bubbling to the surface, but in the end if the pit doesn't have what we need then there's nothing we really can do about it, which in all honesty is probably for the best."

The two found themselves nodding and got a bit more of the backstory on the nexus realm itself, learning that all ten brothers were actually attempting to take one another over in order to be the supreme being of the nexus. So far only two had ever been taken over in that manner and they were quickly reversed, which was another reason why they would set up things like this to get large amounts of energy. For Calvech and Dobrica it was strange hearing about these interdimensional, interplanetary battles, like they were listening to ancient myths about great titans who would clash and cause tsunamis and hurricanes. Once they were finished the two thanked the leather stallion and were about to leave when they were stopped by the voice of Santer before they got out of the door.

"Modino and I actually have two more tasks lined up for you," Santer said as he put two small stacks of cards on his desk. "They're both groups, so you may want to take them on together. Once you're done with this, I think that's all we really have for you, we can probably take things over from there."

The two looked at one another, then went over and grabbed the two stacks of referral cards before leaving. As they flipped through them they were beginning to see exactly what was in store, not only for them but also those that were coming in. That meant more people being converted... quite a few actually from the number of papers in their hands. As they walked back over to the employee area however they were seeing a number of the trainers they had brought in and definitely saw that they were happy, some of them much more than that as they passed by a private room to see two or more of the leather and spandex creatures making out or in other states of training.

"So what do you think?" Calvech said once they got into the employee room and found themselves alone. "Two more tasks and apparently we're done, do you believe what they said about only converting people who really want it?"

"Yeah... I think I do..." Dobrica replied, walking over to his locker and opening it to find the equipment they were going to do need next. "I know that their whole thing is being seductive and disarming but I felt like Santer was finally giving us the whole truth. If that's the case then we're really helping people here... and that's something I can definitely get behind."

"Me too," Calvech stated, both of them grinning at one another. "Plus I have to admit that some of these transformations are a lot of fun... bizarre, but fun. Speaking of which, let's see what the two have for us in terms of gear for... oh my..."

When Santer and Dobrica both pulled out the swim gear that was for their next group their eyes looked at each other's suits and found they were essentially two-piece bikini's. "Well then..." Dobrica said with a big grin on his beak as Calvech continued to stare at the female swimsuit with his mouth slightly agape. "Now I'm really glad we decided not to bail out on this one..."
