It had been a long day at work. Ton had been riding her ass all day and Retsuko was really sick of being called "Calendar" every time he wanted something from her. Retsuko was ready for work to be over. Now that her mom had finally left and people stopped bugging her for details about her time with Tadano, Retsuko just wanted to go hit up some karaoke and blow off steam - the only problem was that Haida and Fenneko wanted to go out for drinks and just wouldn't take 'no' for an answer.

"Guys, I'm just not sure if I-" Retsuko started.

"I know your routine, Retsuko. You don't have any other plans tonight." Fenneko interrupted. She then leaned in close and whispered 'And Haida is going to just keep pathetically begging you until you say yes.'

Retsuko sighed and then just gave in. "Fine, let's go out for a couple beers."

Haida was notably excited at her answer and Fenneko laughed a little. They all then started walking to the bar. Once they got there they started drinking and griping about work.

"I don't know who's worse - Ton or Adai?" Haida posed the question.

"Yeah, Kabae got him to start being normal but he's still so slow!" Fenneko responded.

"I'm just glad he stopped emailing me..." Retsuko added as she sipped at her beer.

They kept commiserating and before they realized it, it was two hours later and they were each several beers in. "Ok, we should stop now" Retsuko asserted.

"Yeah fineee-" Fenneko said with a slur "I guesh we can go."

Haida shook his head and grabbed Fenneko, having to half-carry her down the street. Retsuko followed alongside them. She paced herself while they were drinking and didn't have as many as Fenneko. And being a bigger stature, Haida had no problem holding his alcohol.

As they walked, Aggretsuko saw the alley leading over to her usual karaoke spot. She had fun with Fenneko and Haida but she really wished she could have stopped there instead before work. She could almost picture it in her head until she heard Fenneko say something that made the fantasy crash down - "Hey, karaoke! Letsh do that!"

The tiny fennec was pointing down the alley and Haida saw what she was pointing at and chimed in with "yeah, that sounds fun!"

"No, let's just get going guys" Retsuko tried to persuade them.

"Come on, Retsuko, we're doing it!" Fenneko shouted, pointing toward the karaoke bar and slapped Haida to get him to start walking that direction while he was still carrying her. "Let's go - the night is young!"

Retsuko panicked internally but couldn't come up with an excuse so she resigned herself to following her friends.

Haida and Fenneko boisterously entered the Karaoke bar and asked for a room already before a sheepish Retsuko entered behind them. The man behind the counter recognized her and said "Oh, welcome back" which caused the other two to shoot her curious glances.

"Oh, so you come here enough to be a regular?" Fenneko asked. "How did I not know this?!" she asked out loud as she pulled out her phone and furiously began tapping away, no doubt scrutinizing every online aspect of Retsuko's life again trying to find a hint at her Karaoke habits.

When they get to their designated room, Retsuko is completely dreading sharing this with her friends. Luckily, she gets to at least delay the inevitable because Fenneko enthusiastically volunteered to go first. After scrolling through the available music at lightning speed, she settled on some pop song. Retsuko couldn't even focus enough to tell what song it was because of her feeling of dread. It was hard enough for her to share this with Washimi and Gori, she never planned to share it with Fenneko and Haida too.

Retsuko hardly noticed when Fenneko finished and Haida selected himself a rock song. Retsuko actually distracted herself from the predicament for a moment, recognizing the song. 'Huh, he's not half bad' she thought to herself.

"Hey, know what you're gonna sing yet?" Fenneko asked while poking her. "Hurry up and pick, I already got my next one picked!"

"Oh, umm... you can go again next. I'm still not sure yet." Retsuko responded.

Retsuko hoped that maybe she could stay silent and still and the other two would forget she was there. Haida finished and Fenneko snatched the microphone and went next. Her plan seemed to be working until Fenneko finished and Haida said "Alright Retsuko, you're up! Want me to put the number in for you?"

She panicked and didn't know what to say and before her brain could filter it, her mouth said "90-91-89"

'No, wait!' she screamed inside. 'Don't tell him!'

Too late.

As the familiar music started, Retsuko knew she was too far down this rabbit hole now. Haida and Fenneko both assumed it was the wrong music but Retsuko reached into her purse, pulled out her microphone, and as they stared in disbelief, she let loose a roar of lyrics:

After the squealing guitars and her guttural screaming both subside, Retusko just quietly sits back down. "So, um... who's going next?"

Haida and Fenneko both just looked between each other and eventually one of them, Retsuko isn't even sure as her embarrassment kept her from looking them in the eyes, mumbled that they should go.

As they got outside, Haida volunteered "hey, uh... it's still earyl so yyou guys can come over if you aren't ready to call it a night yet."

Fenneko agreed and Retsuko just nodded and let herself trail behind them again as they walked. But as they walked, the conversation turned normal and no one brought up the karaoke so Aggretsuko slowly joined in on conversation with her friends. By the time they reached Haida's place, the three were laughing and joking again.

They went inside and Haida turned on the stereo and offered "do you guys want beers?"

"Sure" Retsuko answered and Fenneko agreed too. They all sat on the couch and started talking while drinking the fresh beers.

"So... do you do karaoke a lot?" Haida asked suddenly.

"Oh, um..." Retsuko started.

"Actually, looking at your history online, it looks like most nights there's a block of time shortly after work where you don't post anything. And you aren't checking in to any locations while doing that. However, I see that Washimi and Gori are usually oddly silent around that same time, but then afterward they post pictures and posts from the noodle bar not too far away. So my question is, how come you'll go to karaoke with them but you've never told us?!" Fenneko accused.

"It's not like that" Retsuko started to defend herself to her friends "I never meant to bring them, they just kind of came along one time. Similar to you two tonight. And it's not that I didn't want to invite you, it's just that that is my own special place to go and let off steam from the day and anything else that's bothering me."

Fenneko stayed silent for a few seconds and then Haida responded first with "Ok."

"Ok?" Fenneko said while looking at him in disbelief.

"Yeah, ok. If Retsuko needs to unwind after a crap day at the office then she has the right."

"Thanks, Haida" Retusko responded quietly.

"You two should just have sex." Fenneko said matter-of-factly

"WHAT?!" they both shouted in embarrassed response.

"Well it makes sense. Retsuko-" the fox started pointing at the still stunned red panda "you said you hadn't gotten laid in a while and Haida's here so there you go. An even better way to relieve stress."

The small fox then turned her sights on Haida "And you've had a crush on he-"

"Ok you've clearly had too much to drink!" Haida shouted over top of Fenneko, not letting her finish her thought.

Everyone was silent for a while after that. Retsuko was thankfully for the music Haida turned on or else the silence in the room would have been deafening. Inside her head she could feel her anxiety over this situation growing. Her inner voice of rage was screaming out at the little fox.

'WHY WOULD YOU SAY SOMETHING SO AWKWARD?!

"Anyway it was just a thought." Fenneko said nonchalantly, breaking the silence. She then went back to tapping away at her phone.

Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe she just thought the situation couldn't get any weirder, but Retsuko then just blurted out "But how awkward would that be?"

Haida looked gobsmacked and stared over at her, obviously dumbfounded that she was actually considering it.

"Well, it wouldn't be that weird. Obviously it would just be casual since you already shot him down. Besides, I'm here now so it's not like it would be that intimate or anything." Fenneko replied matter-of-factly.

"Wait you're gonna wa-watch?" Haida stammered.

"I didn't say I'd watch, just that I'd be here. And watch what? She didn't say she was going to do it." Fenneko teased.

Haida instantly got embarrassed and stammered out a meaningless noise before falling quiet again.

"So you mean, like right here? Like, in front of you?" Retsuko asked her friend.

"Sure, you're not doing anything else. And I don't care what you do, so why not?" she dismissively replied.

After a moment of silent consideration Retsuko turned to the hyena on her other side and asked "well, should we?"

Haida was too stunned to even reply. He just stared at her like he didn't believe she existed and said nothing.

"That's a yes." Fenneko added. "Take off your clothes Haida, before you act too weird and she changes her mind."

"Hey shutup!" Haida responded, snapping out of his stupor and trying to salvage some pride. "So, uh... like do you really want to... should we just..." He attempted to ask several questions at once and ended up just trailing off without ever asking a question.

"Let's just do it." Retusko decided before then taking off her clothes. It felt very awkward to undress in front of her friends like that. Despite her stated disinterest, Fenneko did look up from her phone a few times as Retsuko was undressing. Meanwhile, Haida originally just stared. She was starting to feel a little uncomfortable, but he must have realized it, and he looked down and then started taking his clothes off as well.

"This is weird..." he started as removed his jacket and then pulled off his shirt.

"Well if you don't want to-" Retsuko cut herself off as he removed his pants and she saw him mostly erect already.

"Oh, he wants to" Fenneko added, also staring at the erection. "Hahahahahahaha" she started laughing and then went back to looking at her phone.

"This was your idea, Fenneko, so just shut up or leave" Haida shouted in frustration.

Suddenly nervous again Haida did as the red panda told him.

The fox's critiques made sense, so Retsuko turned around and slowly worked herself onto Haida's lap. The hyena was in heaven at the sight as he held her tail aside and guided her into position. Haida is so turned on by the panda at that moment that he forgets about the fox teasing him and the fact that he has an audience at all and this time he grabs Retsuko's hips and does thrust into her. "That wasn't weird for you at all?" He asked, still in disbelief of the whole situation and her nonchalance about it.

"Why would it be? She needed to get fucked and you were dying to fuck her. Had nothing to do with me. Besides, I'm not the one cumming on my couch." she answered with a smirk.

"Great!" the fox replied before hopping down from the couch and walking toward Retsuko and the door. "Great night, Haida. Thanks for having us over and we'll all have to do karaoke again!" she called back as she ushered the red panda out, not letting her say a word to their host. Fenneko closed the door behind her as the hyena stood there, naked and holding an old shirt, the only proof of what happened, in his hand and still not completely believing the night that just unfolded before him.

As Retsuko walked with Fenneko to her place before leaving her to go back to her car, the two start talking. "So, you really don't like him, huh?" the fox asks.

"It's not that I don't like him at all" the panda started, "I just don't see him as more than a friend."

"But that was fun, huh?" the fox replied.

"Mmmm" the red panda let out a small moan of pleasure in reply. "That was definitely fun. Isn't it going to get really weird now though? I mean we still have to see each other all the time at work. And how wasn't it weird for you? We were only a few feet away from you - how does that not bother you?"

"I'm not as hard up as you." the fox replied with a smirk. "And sure, you'll see him at work but you two were both also drunk so you have the perfect excuse for tonight. It wasn't intimate and it doesn't mean anything - you were just two friends getting drunk and blowing some steam."

The two reached Fenneko's apartment and before heading for the door the small fox turned and said "Besides, drunken sex is what best friends are for!" And with that comment, Fenneko quickly slapped Retsuko's ass and then trailed her paw along her tail and then darted inside.
