Peephole
Sometimes you just find some eye-candy.
The beer pong line was not the first time Liam saw the badger. That would be by the drink table, where the badger and one of his friends were taking their time making a mixer for a friend, laughing about what they were combining. Liam hardly noticed him at the time. But standing in the line, he got a good look at the beefy badger, and something stuck out to him.
"Hey," Liam spoke up, his time with the keg lubricating his social strength. No response. "Hey, Flyer's fan," the mouse said, pointing out his choice in hat logo.
"What up?" The looming badger asked, turning around. Liam couldn't help but smile, damnit why was this guy so cute.
"I uhhhhhh" Liam's mouth hung wide, as his eyes were trained on the badgers. He was very aware of everyone around him, and he didn't feel as if he could mention what he had noticed. "Wanna play on your team?" He asked.
"Ah, sorry dude. Me and my friend" he leaned to the side, shoving a thumb to the guy he was at the drink table with "are playing. Wouldn't mind going against you though haha."
Liam's friend looked at the badger and laughed. "Dude you're so gay," He teased. Liam smiled sheepishly. He hadn't exactly thought of it, but the badger was really cute. His eyes trailed back down, spying the guy's blue jeans. He stopped looking when he noticed Kyrie looking at him, his friend seeing that he was staring at the badger's ass.
Once the line moved forward enough to get them up to the table, Liam learned something about the nameless badger. Namely, that he he and his friend were way better at pong. The two were running out of cups, and it wasn't really close. Hoping for a win was impossible, but Liam really needed to tell the badger something. They were down 7 to 2, and Liam through the shot wide right.
"My b!" He called out slipping around the table to go grab the ball on the floor. "Hey, Flyers," The badger looked. "Help me out will ya?"
When the badger crouched down, he immediately pointed to the ball. It wasn't hard to find, bounced right to where Liam could pin it with his shoe. "There it is," He said helpfully.
"Dude, your pants, they're ripped wide open. Was trying to tell you earlier." Liam said, holding up the ball.
If the badger didn't believe him before, the noise that came from his pants as he bent over to accept the ball surely proved Liam's point. The badger's eyes were wide open, his drunken mind acutely aware of the secret. His body shot straight up to keep the new hole from widening more, as Liam gave a wink, and headed back over to his side.
The badger missed his shot badly, much to the taunting of his friend who sunk the shot to make it 7 to 1.
After the crushing defeat in beer pong, Liam figured that the Flyers would try to leave the party, and quickly moved to the door to cut the badger off. "Hey, hey, Flyers, wait up." He said, placing an arm on his chest. "Let's talk for a minute?" Liam boxed the badger in, with his back to the wall. He backed up against the wall, ready to listen.
"What up?"
"Where are you headed. Uh, like, obviously to take care of uh, hah," Liam was feeling bubbly. He had never actively confronted someone he wanted to talk to. The beer certainly had him feeling strong.
"Just back to O'Mally Hall. Gotta get a change and all. Fucking sucks, these are my favorite jeans," He said, gesturing to his dark pants.
"Yeah, I can tell. They look good on you man," Liam nodded. "Real comfortable too?"
"You know it," Flyers laughed.
"Cause uh, oh cause uh I feel like you won't come back here."
"No no, most of my friends are here, I'm coming back."
"You're drunk, it's a long walk back to your place. There's no way you make it and say you want to go back out." Liam said, a twang of sorrow in his voice. "Can I give you my phone number?"
"Sorry bud. Left my phone back in my room. Knew we weren't going off campus, my friend's party got shut down before it even started, so knew I'd be in the dorms tonight. Didn't think I'd meet such a cool guy," Flyers gave a smile to Liam, sending the mouse's heart soaring.
"Ahhh, man I wish you could stay. I wanna go out on the dance floor with you," Liam trailed on the last sound in that sentence, gesturing to the crowd in the lights.
"Haha, yeah that sounds fun. But I mean," The badger looked left and right before leaning in, all motion done with his torso, to whisper to the short mouse. "You know? How visible is it really?"
"Oh it's not really visible, I had to look close to see," Liam laughed. Flyers took a seconds before he laughed so hard he snorted.
"Goddamn, asshole." He took a second to catch your breath. "What is your name, I don't think it's nice to just call you Ass in my head all night."
"You've been calling me Ass?" Liam asked Flyers.
"Yeah, well, my friend asked if I knew that ass when you tried to split up our team. Oh don't worry don't worry, he's kidding," Flyers held out his hands.
"Oh don't worry, my friends are all the same way." Liam reassured. "Man I've been calling you Flyer's all night."
"Really? Awesome, what team do you like?"
"Oh no no, my roomie likes the," Liam took a second to remember, "Rangers. All he does is talk about Philly. I'm from Kansas, don't really care for hockey"
"Oh damnit, now I can't be friends with you anymore," Flyers responded. "Implying Rags." Liam looked at the badger as if he had been speaking latin. "Nevermind. Besides, Kansas is close to St. Louis, you'd look nice in a sweater," He slapped Liam on the shoulder.
"You think so? Oh, uh, and it's Liam."
"Oh yeah, Dmitri." The badger smacked him on the arm again.
"Damn, stop that," Liam mock whined, rubbing his arm. The badger was strong, but not that strong. "If I get you a drink will you stop abusing me?"
"Sure, just a beer."
Dmitri was still there when Liam returned. He had been worried he was about to be ditched by the badger.
"So um... What was I talking about before I left?" Liam asked, trying to rack his brain. Dmitri also looked puzzled for a moment. "OH RIGHT!" Liam practically shouted, before dropping his volume back down low. "Your ripped pants." Dmitri nodded his head, remembering his issue. "Yeah, so like, what are you, size... 36?"
"How did you- Uh, but yeah. How'd you know?"
"Just a guess," Liam winked. "You know, I can get you out of those ripped jeans and into a new pair of pants if you come up to my room."
The offer seemed to befuddle Dmitri for a moment, before he blurted out "Are you coming on to me."
Liam was struck by this accusation. He wasn't intending to flirt, exactly. Although... He wasn't trying to Not Flirt. "Depends. Was I coming onto you good?" The drunk mouse asked, unable to stifle his laughter. Dmitri smiled, a surprised laugh joining Liam's.
"I mean, shit, you got me grinning, yeah." Dmitri said, clearly taking a strong amount of effort to admit that.
"Really?" Liam exclaimed. "Are... Are you uh... Experienced?"
"Honestly no. With girls, yeah, but never with, you know." He gestured at the blushing mouse.
"More than me. Haven't really been with anyone yet."
There was a moment of silence between the two guys, both of them eying one another up. It was Dmitri who broke the silence.
"We could take it slow, if you want? No commitment to anything more than that."
"Yeah. That sounds really nice. My room is just two floors up from here. And don't worry, my roommate is out of town."
Dmitri looked around, weighing his choice. "What the hell, my friends won't ask where I'm going. Besides," He took a deep breath in, before pulling the mouse in close. Liam nearly shouted in shock at this forward motion, his crotch pressed against the badger's. "You're really cute."
Liam could see that Dmitri was considering doing something, but then he let go. "Yeah, so uh... Lead the way."
The pair set their drinks on the floor and maneuvered their way out of the party, the blaring music dulling only slightly with the door closed. On that hallway was a few more loud rooms, Liam leading Dmitri past a few other parties on their way to the elevator, dragging the badger by the hand. "I'm really glad you came here tonight." Liam blurted out as he called the lift.
"Same," Dmitri replied. The elevator reached their floor, and it opened up to a few people pouring out. Both of the guys separated their hands, failing to act casual as more party goers flooded the floor.
Liam looked at the people moving on to their destinations, a little embarrassed that he had been caught holding another guy's hand. But honestly, fuck em. Dmitri was hot. They walked into the elevator, and waited for it to head up.
Liam looked at the backside of Dmitri and reached a hand out, slipping his finger into the hole in his jeans. Dmitri just took it, his breathing growing louder. "Honestly, this hole is so small." Liam noted.
"Yeah. You only noticed it because you're a buttwater. Buttwatcher," Dmitri laughed to himself. Liam got up on his toes, and gave the dumb badger a peck on the cheek.
"Yup!" Liam agreed. The elevator rattled to a stop and opened to a much quieter floor, filled with freshman dorm rooms. "Well, are you ready?" Liam asked, slipping his fingers out of Dmitri's jeans.
"As ready as I can be. Lead the way" He said, grabbing Liam's hand.
