#1 of Gym Buddy

Some of you may remember that I mentioned this in a journal and that it was supposed to be a one-off. Yeaaaaaaah... it kind of spiralled into a 3 parter. Enjoy.

A young horse decides to go to the gym to get in shape in order to have an easier time hitting it off with guys and girls. But fitness is a long road, but ultimately fulfilling road and you never know what you'll find along the way.

Lee always hated Summer in South-East Queensland. In the morning you run the risk of sun stroke and in the afternoon you get beaten bloody by sudden hailstorms. Such sporadic weather would usually keep the white horse in doors but he'd decided to try and get into shape. Women liked a guy who was fit. Men too, Lee wasn't picky with who he got with. Just as long as he was on top.

He waited at the crosswalk across the road from the large shopping centre for the light to turn green, sweating in the heat and impatiently tapped a large hoof on the concrete. The shopping centre had a gym just outside of its main building. The shopping centre's gym was also the closest to his apartment, only being a suburb away and had good reviews to boot. He hoped that getting bigger would stop the bigger guys from hitting on him. It's not that he didn't like guys, he was more than happy to get with one every now and then. It was more that they always wanted to be on top and he had given up trying to find one that was a bottom.

The light turned green and Lee quickly crossed the street and got under the gym's covered doorway, wanting to get out from under the scorching sun. He gingerly rubbed his pink nose, it had already started to get red from sunburn.

"'Scuse me" said a deep, male voice behind Lee, spooking the horse and making him hurry through the door and into the gym to let the voice pass, a black bull whose singlet, that was stretched tight across the bull's pecs, was emblazoned with the name of the gym on the chest. Lee was taken aback by the bull's powerful build, to the horse's eyes the bull had the perfect balance between muscle and fat. He didn't look like he built his body for an aesthetic. He looked like he built his body for function. Lee raised an eyebrow when he saw the bull's duffel bag also had the gym's name on it. He must really like the gym.

"Can I help you?" asked a smiling receptionist, a koala, close by at the front desk, spooking the horse. The koala's smile was practiced, one that had to be worn for the job.

Lee didn't realise he had spent so much attention on the bull and sheepishly made his way to the desk. He cleared his throat and asked the receptionist "I'd like to get a membership here."

The koala's smile became more genuine and tapped away at his computer, "Of course. I just need your details and you can start working out right away."

Lee handed the koala his information, surprised, "Right away? It doesn't take a day or so to process?"

The koala shook his head as he scanned a small card and a larger, thick white one, "No, it's processed right away." He handed Lee the small card, "This one can be put on your keyring and is used for normal working hours. You give it to me or another receptionist and we'll scan you in." He then handed him the thick card and pointed towards the entrance, "And this one on a lanyard or in your wallet and is for outside working hours and public holidays. Just slot it in the scanner outside by the door and it'll unlock the door for you."

Lee's eyes followed the koala's finger behind him to the door as he fiddled with the small card, trying to get it on his keyring. He turned back to the receptionist, "I didn't know it'd be right away so I didn't bring a towel or gym clothes."

The receptionist looked to a nearby display of towels, bags, water bottles and singlets that Lee failed to notice when he was paying attention to the bull.

"Oh. Can I have a few of those, please?" Lee bashfully asked and the koala rang up a bag, towel, water bottle and singlet. Lee paid for his stuff and quickly made his way to the locker room and got changed.

He left the locker room with his water bottle in hand and his towel over his arm. He left his new duffel bag in a locker pretty much empty, only containing his shirt. Without a padlock to lock it he didn't feel comfortable leaving his phone and wallet unattended in it so he kept them in his pockets. He fiddled with the straps of his singlet, trying to keep them falling off his shoulders. He bought the next size up because while a small singlet width-wise fit his thin body it was too small for his taller frame.

Fed up with trying to keep them on his shoulders he tied the tops of the straps on themselves. It did the job and kept the straps on his shoulders but made the singlet ride up his torso more than Lee would've liked though not as much as a smaller sized singlet would have so he took what he could.

Tugging the singlet down he looked around the gym at the variety of strange looking machines. He had absolutely no idea where to start.

"You look lost," said a voice, spooking Lee, "Can I help?"

Lee turned back to look at the voice's owner, it was the bull he was ogling before looking at him concerned. Lee nervously scratched behind his ear and said, "I uh, I just joined today. I don't know where to start."

The bull's concerned look quickly turned into an enthusiastic smile and he clapped his hands, "Let me help you show you the ropes then. I love helping newbies out." He added, "The name's Ralph by the way."

Before Lee could even think about turning him down the bull already put a large arm around his shoulders and was guiding him to a long line of treadmills lining a wall of the gym. Ralph looked so happy to be helping him workout, Lee couldn't bring himself to turn him down. So, instead, he introduced himself and took the opportunity to take in more of the bull. He looked older than Lee, where exactly the young horse wasn't exactly sure. He was sure the bull was in his early to mid thirties, maybe ten or so years older than Lee's twenty-five. He also looked the same height as Lee but would be easily a few inches shorter than the six foot horse if Lee straightened his back. He was always slouched over slightly to use counters and to talk to other people.

"Now, cardio's a great place to start for someone of your build," Ralph said gesturing his hand in the air at Lee's thin build and continued, "And it isn't something anyone should neglect. I've seen too many jacked guys not be able to go twenty metres without running out of breath."

Lee piped up, "Okay, I admit that I failed P.E but isn't cardio better suited for fat people? Cause I remember my teacher telling me it's great for losing weight."

Ralph flinched at the word 'fat' and made a quick throat slash gesture as he cleared his throat and said, "Try to avoid calling people 'fat' here. I've had a few overweight clients who came here to lose weight admit to me that they're embarrassed of their weight and we don't want them to get put down and look for excuses to leave. I say that to most of my clients. The first step's always the hardest so I say that to make them think they've already taken it."

"Wouldn't them going out and signing up for the gym count as the first step?" asked Lee.

"Well, it depends. But a lot of what keeps most people from working out and getting in shape is mental and they associate the starting of the actual physical process of working out as the first step. So if I make them think they're already a bit more fit than they realise it'd be easier for them to start."

Lee dropped his phone and water bottle into the treadmill's cup holders, draped his towel next to it. He went to step on when Ralph stopped him, saying "I love your enthusiasm but you should stretch first. Don't want to cramp or pull something."

"What stretches should I do?" Lee asked.

"Some upper body twists, knee lifts and jumping jacks will warm you up enough," Ralph said, miming the actions of each exercise as he named them.

Lee mimicked Ralph's motions, doing each exercise several times until he felt loosened and warmed up.

WIth the stretches down Lee stepped up onto the treadmill and looked at Ralph as the bull continued talking, "But yeah, answering your earlier question. Cardio's great for losing weight but it mainly strengthens your cardiovascular system, the heart and lungs, and it improves your endurance during other workouts so it's a good foundation for any workout regimen."

Lee nodded as he listened before he realised something, "Hey, woah now. Roll it back a bit. 'Clients'?"

"Yeah, I work here as a personal trainer." said Ralph, nodding. "I'm also a licensed massage therapist. My speciality's in sports massage but that's a side business for me for when I'm not on the clock here."

As the bull was talking Lee stepped off the treadmill, grabbing his stuff, and started to walk away, "Sorry, I can't afford to have PT sessions."

Ralph put his hands on Lee's shoulders and spun him around, guiding him back to the treadmill, "It's fine. It's fine. I'm not working today and you caught me just before I had my pre workout."

"If you aren't working why are you doing it for free?" ask Lee, confused as he was ushered back on the treadmill.

"We'll start you on something easy," Ralph said, seemingly not having heard Lee's question and tapped the treadmill's touchscreen, sliding a bar up till the number on it said '8'. The treadmill jerked to a start, slowly speeding up until Lee was in a light jog.

"We'll have you jog at eight kay an hour for two minutes, then ten kay for three minutes, drop you back down to eight for another two minutes and alternate between the two for around..." Ralph clicked his tongue and waved his hand, "for around twelve to fifteen minutes total until you've done two kilometres."

"Just two?" asked Lee.

"We don't want you tiring yourself out on the one machine and you have the entire gym floor at your disposal. You should have some variation to your workout to train different muscle groups." Ralph explained before adding, "I'd also be a pretty poor personal trainer if I only had you workout on one machine."

Lee combed a sweaty lock of his mane face behind an ear out of his face as it started stinging his eyes before asking, "So why alternate between eight and ten kay an hour? Why not just have it stay at one speed?"

"We're training your endurance and the lower speeds act like a rest period without having to stop entirely.," Ralph said before looking down at Lee's hooves as he jogged along, "And you're not actually going at eight or ten kay an hour, the treadmill is. _Your _speed is actually constantly changing. Most people don't notice it until it's pointed out to them. I've already seen it happen a few times just now with you gradually drifting closer and further away from the end of the treadmill. The alternating speeds also acts as a way to somewhat control the constantly changing speed of the runner."

Lee continued jogging as Ralph continued explaining the ins and outs of cardio, the muscle groups trained in different cardio exercises and the benefits of it as he increased and decreased the speed of the treadmill with Lee now constantly aware of whenever he started drifting towards the end of the treadmill or closer to its touchscreen. Most of Ralph's explanations went straight over Lee's head.

Eventually, Lee ran two kilometres and Ralph tapped a blue circle saying 'Cool Down' on the touch screen and the treadmill slowed down drastically.

When Lee slowed down to a walk Ralph started explaining, "So whenever you finish on one of the cardio machines you should-"

"I should hit the 'Cool Down' cause it's better to gradually slow down instead of straight up stopping." Lee said before taking a swig of water from his bottle, "My PE teacher said it was but I can't remember why."

"Yes!" Ralph said with a huge smile before explaining, "It's because it eases your body out of the exercise and lessens the stress your body's going under so you don't injure yourself. It's also best that you do a warm up before exercises as well. The two minutes at eight kay served as it here so don't start out at ten kay. Start at eight."

"So what'll happen if I stop outright?" asked Lee as he combed back a sweaty lock of his mane behind his ear again.

"If you just straight up stop after an intensive workout you can cramp up pretty badly. And I mean badly. I've seen cramps that looked like someone left a heavy weight on memory foam." said Ralph, grimacing.

The explanation made Lee cringe as the treadmill came to a stop and rubbed and stretched his legs to keep them from cramping which made the black bull watching him chuckle. "You're not gonna cramp, you'll be fine. You're drinking plenty of water and did the warm up and cool down. But it's still a good idea to stretch before and after so good idea with doing that."

Lee couldn't help but blush at the praise, his ears burning slightly. He pretended to scratch an ear to hide the blushing skin inside it from the bull and stammered, "So what next?"

"Next," Ralph started while handing Lee his towel, "Is wiping down the treadmill. _Always _wipe the equipment down after using it. No one wants to use something soaked with someone's sweat."

Sheepishly, Lee took the towel and wiped down all the parts of the treadmill he had touched and parts he may have touched during his run.

Once Lee was finished Ralph walked towards a nearby line of stair machines, gesturing for the horse to follow. Once the bull had his back to Lee the horse reached back and pulled out his underwear that rode up during the run from between his cheeks.

The bull tapped a rail of the machine and said as Lee climbed up, "We'll do something a little harder now. To see how long you last on it."

"Seeing how well you did on the treadmill I put you on a higher than normal level for a beginner," Ralph craned his head up and tapped the touchscreen and slid the bar till it said '6'. The stairs started moving and increased their speed until Lee was at normal walking pace. "I won't run you ragged though. Just have you go until you out of breath before resting and moving on."

Lee strolled along, keeping sure to keep as steady and even pace as he could. As he started to take in deeper breaths he saw out of the corner of his eye the black bull's brow slowly start to furrow before looking up to the touch screen and then back to him.

"Anything wrong?" Lee asked, worried that he may be doing something wrong.

Ralph quickly waved his hands and said, "Oh no. The opposite actually. You've been going for two minutes now and most people are usually out of breath and are a sweaty mess at that point. You've only just now started to breathe harder and I'm pretty sure the sweat you have is more from the treadmill than this."

Ralph looked down at Lee's hooves and noted, "Though I shouldn't be surprised. With those dinner plates you call hooves you probably have draft horse in you somewhere. Taking that into account you must have a really good fuel tank."

Lee blushed again and hid the reddening inside of his ear with a scratch and chuckled, "Yeah, my grandfather was a clydesdale."

"So if I already have good endurance. How long do you think I should do this?" Asked Lee, lowering his hand from his ear when he felt that the blush started to go away.

Ralph rubbed his chin in thought for a moment before answering, "Judging by how well you're going I think you'll be able to go six hundred steps."

With a nod Lee continued along, looking at the timer and the number on the screen showing the steps he's already taken as it steadily ticked higher. Feeling his legs and rear starting to burn he took in a deep breath and quickly let it out, six hundred steps suddenly looked very far away.

His head hung down, dripping with sweat and his mane stuck to his face, stinging his eyes. He'd long since stopped looking at the time and steps taken. His legs burned, his hooves were starting to drag up the steps and his underwear had ridden up uncomfortably far between his cheeks.

He wanted to call it quits when Ralph spoke up, "Good, good. Only fifty more to go."

Lee looked up at the screen, panting. He didn't believe the bull at first, six hundred still felt so far away but Ralph was telling the truth. He stopped dragging his hooves and started walking properly. Six hundred was actually close now and the bull thought he was doing a good job, he didn't want to risk disappointing him by calling it quits when the finish line was so close.

Once the number on the screen ticked over to '600' Lee let out a sigh of relief. Then Ralph tapped the 'Cool Down' button on the screen. Lee let out a groan, "Oh, God dammit. There's still more."

"Yes, there's still more," chuckled Ralph. "But don't worry, the cold down's a slow pace and we're gonna stop and rest for a bit after this. You've certainly earned it after doing six hundred steps on your first go."

Lee only replied with an exhausted groan as he continued to plod along and dragged a sweaty lock of his mane from his face to back behind his ear.

Once the stairs stopped moving, Lee took a large swig of water and went to climb down before remembering to wipe down the machine which got a nod of approval from the bull.

Ralph guided him to an area with a couple armchairs and a small table. Lee went to drop drop into one before thinking better of it and laying his towel over it before doing so. When sitting down he pulled his underwear from between his cheeks and tried to make it look like he was only getting comfortable in the chair. Once he got his underwear to a more comfortable position he stretched his legs out making them jitter as Ralph sat down and asked, "So what kind of body are you aiming for? That way I know what kind of regimen to tailor for you. Looking to just get into shape? Bodybuilding? Competitive bodybuilding?"

Lee shook his head at the last two options as he reclined into the chair saying, "Nah, don't have the passion for fitness to do that. I just want to get in shape. Girls like a guy who's in shape."

"Oh," Ralph said, looking surprised, "Yeah, wanting to woo the ladies is a common reason to get into shape. It'll be easy enough to make a routine to achieve that."

Lee was confused as to why Ralph was surprised at that. The bull said it himself that it was a common reason to get in shape. He brushed it off before remembering to add, "Oh! And guys too."

"Ahhh," Ralph said with a look of understanding, "But yeah, it'll be easy enough to make a routine for that."

The bull didn't look surprised when Lee mentioned that he liked guys as well and Lee didn't know exactly why. He wasn't a flamboyant horse so he didn't know how the bull was clued into that part about himself.

It seemed only a few moments later when Ralph clapped a hand on his muscular thigh and said, "Right, I think we've rested long enough. Follow me and I'll get you to do some push ups and sit ups to see how many you can do and see what other upper body stuff that'll do you good."

"We just sat down though," Lee complained.

"It's been five minutes," Ralph said. He chuckled when the horse quickly pulled his phone out to check the time, "Yeah, rests always go by quicker than anyone would like. But come on. Let's get up."

With a tired groan Lee took the hand that was offered and he got up, faster than he expected with the bull practically yanking him from the chair. He stretched and rubbed his legs again, and followed Ralph to an area of the gym with a soft, spongy feeling flooring and rubber foam mats hanging, stacked on a wall.

The bull grabbed one of the mats from the wall and set it out on the ground. Before he could even ask Lee laid his towel over it.

Ralph clapped his hands and smiled, saying "Perfect! You're learning quickly," he squatted down at one end of the mat and patted it, "Lay down. We'll do some sit ups to get a read for you how strong your core is. I'll hold your hooves down."

Doing as the bull said Lee got down on his back, shuffling closer to the bull so he could hold his hooves, and put his hand behind his head. He hated doing sit ups back in high school. Although Lee called it P.E it was actually a class to get a Certificate II in Sport and Recreation. He and everyone else just called it P.E because it was easier to call it that. He took the class because he thought it was going to be an easy class to take for Grade Twelve. But his teacher proved him wrong. The old dingo was obsessed with fitness and ran Lee and his classmates ragged. He was always so sore afterwards and the teacher always wanted them to do other stuff right afterwards.

But he really wanted to get into shape to better impress the guys and girls, and Ralph was cheering him on thinking he was doing a good job. He didn't want to disappoint the bull so he continued with the sit ups, struggling with each one.

"Good, good control," Ralph encouraged as Lee struggled to steadily lower himself back to the ground, "Just a couple more. You can do it."

"There we go," praised the bull as the slender horse completed the final sit up and let himself drop back to the mat with a groan.

"That was torture," panted Lee, slowly rolling onto all fours so he could pick himself up. Ralph got up quicker than Lee did, standing straight up from his squat using only his legs.

"Just one more exercise and you can go relax and clean up with a shower," promised Ralph as he gave the horse a hand in getting up and lifted him up like he weighed nothing at all.

The horse combed his mane back behind his ear and did some twisting stretches, cracking his back and making his mane fall back over his face. He needed to get some hair ties he thought. He picked up his towel and the mat, putting it back on the wall, and asked, "What next?"

"The rowing machine," Ralph said, excitedly guiding him back to the rowing machines, "It's great. We have two versions here and the cardio one, the one I'm gonna have you use trains pretty much every muscle in your body. It also blows air onto as you row so it's great for when you're all sweaty from a workout."

"So what does the other one do?" Lee asked as he sat down on the sliding seat of the machine and grabbed the rowing handle.

"Let's have you do two kay and have a bit of a rest every five hundred metres," Ralph said, squatting down to set the machine's timer before answering, "It trains pretty much all the same muscle groups as this one but minus the legs. It also does pretty much the same muscle groups as pull ups."

"That makes me think you can do one or the other but there's more to it than that, isn't there?" Lee asked as he started rowing, keeping the handle to his chest.

"Don't keep it against your chest like that. Put your arms into it," Ralph said, miming the proper way to row. Lee followed and immediately felt the strain of his underused muscles being put to work.

With the horse's technique corrected Ralph answered his question, "While they do a lot of the same muscle groups, they emphasize different areas. Pull ups are more of an upper body workout whereas the weighted row is more of a full body workout. But you said you wanted just to get into shape so I won't go too much into it. We'll just have you do cardio and some free weight stuff."

Lee paused mid-row and looked up to the black bull, "You said that the row was gonna be the last for today."

"It is, don't worry," Ralph reassured and gestured for Lee to continue rowing, "We'll do the free weights later in the week. Find a day that suits both our schedules."

It surprised Lee that the professional trainer was talking about another free lesson before he mentally slapped himself. He probably was expecting to get paid for the next lesson, "I said I can't afford a PT."

"It's fine," Ralph said, waving away the horse's financial concerns.

"This is your job. I can't ask you to give me free lessons," Lee said guiltily.

"I said it was fine," Ralph with a genuine look, "How about this then. I help you workout and you can help me with mine afterwards. I can use a workout buddy."

Resting after doing five hundred metres Lee put the handle back in its holder and thought on Ralph's offer. It felt like he'd be taking advantage of the bull's generosity if he took him up on the offer but he felt as if he'd be letting the large bull down if he refused.

He grabbed the rowing handle and resumed rowing and not wanting to let the muscular bull down said, "Okay then."

He let himself smile slightly when Ralph became visibly excited and continued rowing, putting more effort into it and quickly adjusting whenever the bull pointed something out to impress him.

By the end of it the lanky horse was completely haggard, more so than when he was on the stair machine. But there was no sense of misery like back in high school, there was an underlying sense of satisfaction despite the exhaustion. He slowly gathered his things and followed Ralph into the locker room.

Ralph promised to look after his stuff after Lee explained him not having a padlock and entered a shower stall, hanging his clothes and towels on a hook on the door. He turned on the water and yelped, jumping back away from the intense spray from the showerhead.

Chuckling from the other side of the stall door Ralph said, "By the way, our gym has great water pressure."

"That would've been good to know before it ripped my tits off," Lee grumbled, easing the water down until it was manageable and ducked into the spray. He scrubbed his face and worked the water into his mane when Ralph spoke up over the sound of the spray.

"We should talk diet while we have the time."

"Aren't diets more for fa-" Lee paused as he worked shampoo into his mane and coat, catching himself before he said 'fat people' and corrected himself, "For when you're overweight."

"No, not really. Working out won't do diddly if you don't eat healthy,'answered Ralph making Lee look at the area of the stall door where the bull would be on the other side in confusion at his odd word choice of 'diddly'.

He shrugged it off and started rinsing off the shampoo, asking, "So what? Cut out carbs and eat more meat?"

Ralph let out a loud snort of derision and said, "Don't buy into that anti-carb crap."

He then cleared his throat and said, "Sorry, excuse my language. I just get worked up with those stupid fad diets."

That just confused Lee even more that he'd apologise for saying a word that the horse barely considered a swear word. He turned off the water and started wringing the water out his mane and tail, "So what? Carbs are good then?"

"Oh yeah. Carbohydrates are the best when it comes to having long lasting energy. Sure, it won't get you hyped like caffeine or beta alanine but..." Ralph continued on, going in depth about the benefits of carbohydrate with a vast majority going in one of Lee's ears and out the other as he dried off. "...and your body prefers to use them for its primary source of energy anyway and I'm rambling."

"Yep," Lee said as he pulled his clothes on.

"And you didn't understand any of that."

"Nope," answered Lee, walking out of the stall and past the embarrassed bull.

Ralph scratched the back of his head, saying "Sorry, I tend to ramble when talking about things I'm passionate about."

"I've noticed," Lee said with a laugh thinking of the bull's more talkative moments during his workout, "Anyway. So carbs are good. Eat those and meat?"

"Yeah, chicken and fish are best. They're the cheapest," Ralph answered, nodding and adding, "There's also other foods like nuts, eggs and dairy."

Lee gave out a small hiss, "I'm lactose intolerant."

Ralph cringed in empathy and said, "Oh, that sucks. But there's plenty of lactose free stuff out nowadays. They're just a tad more expensive."

"Oh!" Ralph snapped his fingers as he remembered something, "Before I forget. Lend me your phone for a bit."

Unlocking his phone and handing it over Lee asked, "Uhhh, why?"

"To give you my number. It'll be easier to plan days to workout together that way and..." Ralph said putting in his number and held the phone up, "take a progress pic. Gotta have something to look back on to see how far you've come when you reach your goal."

Lee stood there awkwardly, hugging his arms and waited for Ralph to take the photo. The bull spoke up, encouragingly, "Come on, flex for the camera. Lose the shirt too, we want to see how all your muscles grow and we won't be able to see them under that baggy shirt."

The thin horse reluctantly peeled off his and tossed it onto his bag, "What next? You're gonna ask me to take my shorts off as well?"

Ralph shrugged, "If you want."

"I'd rather not." Lee said, shaking his head. He wasn't wearing any underwear because the only pair he had at the moment were soaked in sweat and he didn't want to be butt naked in front of the bull. Despite the thought making his now free hanging cock twitch and swell slightly.

He flexed his arm, showing what little muscle they had and brought it over his chest to try and hide as much of his flat chest as he could. Half his face was hidden behind his mane, the picture felt like it was taking forever to be taken but it in reality was only a few seconds.

"There you go. You already have some definition in your delts so you're already well on your way," Ralph said encouragingly and handing Lee's phone back.

Lee quickly pulled his shirt back on and followed the bull out to help with his own workout, not that he knew how to but he trusted the bull to guide him through it.

"So nuts, eggs and lactose free dairy. Anything else I should look into getting?" asked Lee.

Thinking for a moment, Ralph rubbed his chin before answering simply, "A jock."

"A what?" asked a shocked Lee. A jock was something he'd only seen worn in porn.

"Yeah, it's the best of both worlds when it comes to either free balling it or wearing underwear. It keep the bits in place and you won't risk any slippage like freeballing would."

"Yeah, I don't want that," Lee said, thinking of his current commando status.

"And unlike normal underwear you won't be constantly picking them out of your butt." Ralph said, looking at the horse out of the side of his eye.

Lee immediately tensed up, his ears burning. He was absolutely mortified that the bull saw him doing that and was anxious about what else he may have seen, now resisting the urge to look over his muscular body.

A large arm wrapped around his shoulders and Ralph said, laughing, "It's alright. It really is. It's a common problem with working out in underwear."

Lee quickly relaxed in Ralph's arm before tensing again when the bull leaned in and whispered, "By the way. Your nose turns red when you blush."

He looked down his face and noticed the bull was right, it was bright red. He covered it in shame.

Ralph brought his other arm around Lee in a proper hug and chuckled, "Don't fuss over it so much. It's not something you can change about yourself. Besides, I think it's cute."

Lee couldn't help but smile at being called cute then realised the full meaning of it and the other parts about the bull that confused him.

Ralph was gay.
