#3 of Destiny?

Friday- Last day before spring brake-

Kyle's POV-

"-Oh yah, really inventive Jack-ass," Kyle says to Jack as the four of them walk out into the parking lot after school.

"Ahh, shut up SKyler, "Jack replies, playfully shoving Kyle a few feet away.

"Go fuck yourself in the ass with a loaded stapler you un-inventive bastard," Kyle replies, "really, that name isn't even clever; my name is Kyle not Kyler."

"Ummmm, well in all fairness you did, err; start calling Jack Jack-ass long before he started calling you Skyler." Dex say, finally speaking up.

Dex was a very smart and very shy raccoon, who happened to be the same one Jack had stood up for the first day Jack and Kyle met. Ever since Kyle started hanging out with Jack, he found himself hanging out with a lot of different kinds of furs. As opposed to the three people he usually hung out with, who where Keith, Zane, and Lenny, who where all very different furs, but now he found himself faced with all variations of furs. Most of the time he felt crowded and annoyed at too much company, but when he was with furs one or three at a time, it wasn't all that bad.

"Hmm with a loaded stapler..." Keith says as if in deep thought, "must be one of your better ones, but I still liked the one about shoving a pair of chopsticks down his cock-slit, that- was genius."

Ever since Jack started calling him Skyler, Kyle always made the traditional insult of telling him to sexually assault himself with a large number of painful or just weird objects. They where never really angry at each other, and where just playing around, but it was convincing enough to get them sent to the office...again.

"Hey how come Jack only gets that insult thing for calling you Skyler, but everyone else gets a fist in the face?" asks Keith.

"Heh, well," Dex mumbles, clutching his arm in that shy pose of his, "maybe it has to do with Jack being twice his mass. Or maybe it umm, has more devious purposes, you never know with Kyle (nervous laugh),"

"Nope, it has to do with the fact that I've only known him for a week," Kyle says in a long-suffering voice, "See, I like to see how your brains work before I start beating you. Then, you won't even do anything about it because you'll already be used to the verbal abuse. All of this is really a psychological brain-game, see- you will all eventually become my bitches."

"Yeah like that's going to happen," Jack scoffs.

"How do you know you're not a bitch already," Kyle says, putting on a shifty voice, "that's the mental part see?"

"Yeah, so how about you get your ass in MY car so I can drive it home?" Jack asks, holding the door open for Kyle.

"See? I've already got you taking me places; the bitching process has already begun," Kyle says.

"Hey, if I'm the one taking you places that makes you the bitch," Jack replied smugly.

"Unless that's part of the insanity," Kyle widens his eyes in a ridiculous fashion.

"Just get your scrawny ass in the car!" says Jack pretending to be annoyed.

"Whatever, see you Dex, Keith." Kyle says as he climbs into the car.

It had become a kind of ritual that Jack always drove Kyle home. He had been doing it ever since the first time, and Kyle didn't mind too much, actually he kind of liked it. It got him that much time to spend that much more time with him, which was always pretty cool.

Kyle was still attracted to Jack, no matter what he did to convince himself otherwise. Every time he thought he had broke through the feeling, he would see Jack the next day and talk to him for a while and he had to start it all over again, only it usually got worse with time. It was very frustrating, but also a little comforting; it could be worse, he could just want Jack for his body, which would have been really really weird. It's a good thing that their friendship was built on compatibility, and not based on how good he thought the other fur looked, even though he did look good.

"What are you doing during the brake?" Jack asks so suddenly that it made Kyle jump.

"Nothing really, I'm just going to be spending a lot of time at the house, something tells me its going to get really boring, but, at least it's not school."

"Sooo, you'll be bored but at least it's not school huh?" Jack says, looking like he was stalling or hiding something.

"Yeah, that's kind of what I just said," Kyle rolls his eyes theatrically, then playfully adds, "honestly whatever disease is making you stupid, it's really getting the best of you."

"Well it's probably catch able because err, your being stupid too," says a nervous looking Jack, the joke didn't really have it's full affect do to his weird expression.

"What are you going to do over the brake," says Kyle, trying to calm Jack from whatever was messing with him.

"Well- my family is, has gone on a trip for the brake, but I...didn't want to go," Jack seemed to have caught his bearings, but still looked awkward.

That was weird, one, because he wasn't talking like he usually did, and two, because Kyle would have thought he would go with his family no matter where they went, he got lonely really easily; which was something Kyle had picked up their second day together at school. Usually Kyle would have thought that was stupid, he himself usually preferred to be alone, but for some reason it was kind of... 'cute' on Jack. Kyle mentally shook his head in disgust at himself at that last thought.

They drove in silence for a few minutes before Jack spoke up again, "hey, since Its going to be really boring all by myself, do you mind staying at my house, we can bore the hell out of each other then."

Kyle was still a little weirded out, the conversation was different that usual, usually he had more to say, but he might as well go with him, he had nothing else to do, "sure, just let me tell my mother then, so stop by my house first."

Jack's POV-

Jack was relieved that Kyle agreed. That conversation did not go exactly as planned, he was suppose to be collected and the same as usual but he kind of failed. Still, Kyle was till coming over and that was the main part, even if it could have gone better. Now all he had to do was to get Kyle to go out with him without Kyle actually knowing he was going out with him at first.

He tried to calm himself down as Kyle went up to his house to talk to his parents. Tricking Kyle wouldn't be easy, but of course, why would Kyle expect anything. For all he would know they where just hanging out nothing really, hopefully Kyle would see it that way... at first. Yeah, this would all end up fine.

Kyle jumped back in the car with a small bag of clothes and such, looking at him as if he where mentally ill. That conversation definitely didn't go well. Jack composed himself and drove the short distance to his house; it wouldn't do to make it worse than it already was.

They made it home without much incident, they didn't talk much, but it was a comfortable silence rather than an awkward one, so it was alright. Jack felt like he could do this, he wasn't nervous anymore...much.

"So where do I sleep?" Kyle asks, "I don't think I want to sleep in the same room with you, you're kind of weird today."

"It's up the stairs," Jack says, pointing out the door, which was just visible above the stairs, "and what do you mean today, aren't I weird always?"

"Pffft, don't flatter yourself, we all know Keith's the weirdest one we have, and I'm second, your to normal to be considered in our rank, so there is no way I could call YOU weird more than once every other ,other, other week." says Kyle, trudging up the stairs.

"Hey, I thought all of us where suppose to be weird, does that mean I'm not accepted," Jack says, pretending to be offended as he follows Kyle up the stair case.

"No, I guess we could let you in, your just the odd one out," Kyle replies, throwing his possessions carelessly onto the bed.

"So I am the odd one out in a group of weirdoes, doesn't that make me weirder?"

"Nope, that makes you normal," Kyle says absentmindedly.

"Well then," says Jack, leading the way back downstairs.

Kyle picked up an apple from the counter, and asked, "what do we do now anyway? Just hang around or what?"

"Actually," Jack says, snatching the apple from Kyle's hand and putting it back, "I had planned to eat at a restaurant and do some stuff today; since I thought I would be alone."

This was the big moment, if Jack could get this done without incident he would be just fine, he just had to get Kyle to go with him without Kyle getting suspicious. He found himself funny actually, the way he was thinking, it was like he was luring Kyle out to rape him or something, when he was really just going to ask him out.

"Really?" Kyle asks, "What kind of 'stuff'?"

"Oh," says Jack, getting off balance again. He had hoped that he would surprise him with the stuff so he wouldn't ask questions, "you know, stuff. They've got some sort of carnival going on downtown, and I wanted to go. There is also some race-thing they have that I have tickets for," Jack tried to mumble out the last part, but of course Kyle caught him.

"So you wanted to go to a race, and just conveniently bought two tickets," Kyle asked, "sounds kind of suspicious to me,"

"Well," Jack starts, but then he gets an idea, "I knew you would end up coming, your such a sap you know."

"Maybe for someone as sad as your self, "says Kyle, suspicions apparently gone. "So when do we leave?"

"Right now actually," says Jack, alarmed as he checks his watch.

"Well let me drive then," Kyle says, catching the keys that Jack tosses at him, "Don't want you being late on our first date do you?"

Jack tries to hide his surprise, did Kyle really mean that, or was he just joking, had he found Jack out?

"What?" asks Kyle, "You don't plan on bringing some hot girl along to impress her by your generosity at letting the both of us in your little plan or something?"

Jack didn't know whether to sigh in relief or groan in defeat. Kyle hadn't fond him out, but he seemed to be talking awfully straight to Jack. Jack was starting to feel that this wasn't going to end well, but he had started it, might as well finish it.

Kyle's POV-

Kyle was glad to see that his little prod had gone over without anything happening. He bailed on the whole 'our date' thing when Jack looked surprised, good thing he was so good at covering himself up by now. He hadn't really planned the rest of that out, but it was a good thing that Jack didn't exactly catch the 'our' part, that or he probably thought Kyle had said it by accident. Either way, Jack didn't seemed freaked out, just a little awkward, like he had been earlier today.

"Shoot, should have thought of that," says Jack.

"Too late now, your stuck with me, oh and I kind of suck at driving, but at least I go faster."

"Wait... faster in the speed limit or faster as in illegal?"

"Maybe," says Kyle, walking out without explaining.

"Hey-" but Kyle had already started the engine.

"Coming along?"

"Fine whatever, but if you crash my car I'll take it out on your ass," Jack says, giving in.

Jack stopped him before he even moved five yards-

"Hey, what are you doing?" he asks.

"Driving, or getting ready to drive, haven't really done anything yet."

"Well your not suppose to sit like that, if you crash you'll brake your neck or something. Here-" Jack says, pushing Kyle's chest and neck into position.

"And you need to hold your hand on the wheel and gear shift like this," Jack continues, putting Kyle into what was apparently the 'proper' driving position. Normally he would have freaked if anyone had touched him and moved him around, but it was kind of comforting having Jack do it, but he still had to be a smart-ass about it though.

"Am I ready to drive now? Or do you have some mysterious method of which I could use to get from point A to B oh master of the vehicle," Kyle snorts sarcasticly.

"Nope, that's about it my very under-trained pupil," he replies, putting on a condescending voice.

"Then away we go," says Kyle, putting the car into drive once more.

==========================================================================================

Hey, sorry about getting so little covered. I kind of had to get through this one fast, since I am leaving tomorrow and won't be back for a week, so I put the first part here. I decided that I might as well show this much, and write the rest when I get back so that way yo uwon't think I bailed on it or anything. So consider this part 1 of 2 in part 3 of a 3 part introduction thing in a ??? chapter story which is part 1 in a 3 part story thing.

... I think that's about right.
