The swirling patterns appeared before the tanuki's eyes in thick milky swathes. The sweeping beautiful blues and yellows twinkled and danced in midair as though painted by an invisible brush. They hooked Cole's attention in with their pretty, scintillating movements that whisked his worries away in their current. Already he could feel his lips curling, tempting him to smile stupidly and revel in the sparkles of blue and gold. The sad part was, he knew how good it would feel if he let that dangerous grin spread. He knew he'd feel euphoria unbound if he just gave in and surrendered to the bliss that these colours offered so freely.
At the same time, his eyelids twitched with effort to shut. Another blink of gold here, another calming blue there and he found his eyes prying open for another chance to stare. He tried to turn away and even managed to rip his fluffy face from the patterns ahead only to find the same shimmering shapes all around him. He was trapped in a cube of enchanting patterns that called to him.
"That's right."
Oh no, not the voice! Cole couldn't fight the overwhelming safety Master's--the bear's voice made him feel. His knees wobbled and went weak. He slouched. He couldn't believe he was falling for it again. This might've been the fastest a hypnotist had ever snagged him too. He tried to hang on to his embarrassment. So long as he had a sense of shame, he knew he hadn't gone under yet. Meanwhile, on the outside of the cube, the wizard's hands wove together fluidly and gleefully as he conjured the hypnotic pattern. The grizzly bear wore gold bracelets, ornate robes and gems that acted as spell components strapped all over. The only sound other than the two of them were the occasional creak of the bookshelves that surrounded them. After a planar experiment gone wrong, the sorcerer found himself in an unfamiliar land with horseless carriages and little, near non-existent magic. A lesser wizard might have despaired and desperately scrambled to repeat the experiment. But to Esim, that would waste such a grand opportunity to explore this new world! Hunt down new spell components! Assert one's superior will over the mundane mortals of this realm! The simple pleasures, really. Recognizing a library when he saw one, the hulking ursine teleported inside to begin the remodeling into his new tower. Little did he know that his very first servant in this new world would offer himself on a silver platter. Or in this case, sleeping like an angel at a desk with his head in an open book. The tanuki likely fell asleep and missed the news that the library had closed, so very tired as he was, and the staff unknowingly locked him inside. Well, Esim wasn't cruel. He had to do his moral duty and make sure this cute young man got plenty of sleep!
"That's it..." Esim said as he watched the tanuki slouch and wobble sleepily from beneath his shadowy hood. A devious white grin glinted within the darkness. "No need to fight. Just relax. The colours sure are pretty aren't they? Let them caress you now. Let them hold you. Relax and listen to my gentle voice. The colours and my voice. They offer you what you need. To take all those little concerns and thoughts and make them..." He sent a particularly dazzling wave of gold to draw the tanuki's attention. Esim watched his little fuzzy head rotate to follow it perfectly, jaw falling open with awe and wonder as his little mind became lost in the kaleidoscopic display. "...pop like bubbles. Just siiiiink. Sink and fall deep under my power, little one. At my feet you will find peace and joy unbound! Under my sway...you will obey..." Still, he detected some fading resilience as the canine attempted to shut his eyes. "Awww, what's the matter, my young friend? Don't you trust my voice? Don't you trust the ohhhhh so pretty colours?" The wizard made said colours ripple outward once again and he saw the first little ring of blue allllmost blossom in his soon-to-be assistant's half-lidded eye before the hue retreated. "Don't you trust...me?"
"Y--N..." The bear's grin faded. Still, the boy resisted him. Perhaps he was getting sloppy in his old age or, more likely, the youth of today couldn't focus whatsoever. He pumped more juice into the enchantment. The colours doubled in saturation, drawing his eye even more effectively.
"Come now...let them guide you. You need to be guided. Thinking is so very exhausting...I'll take care of that part. You musn't waver...you musn't worry...you musn't think. Just enjoy yourself. I know you want to. I can feel your deep passion for submission. The desire is plain as day."
"W...Want to, but..."
"You neeeeed the colours, don't you?"
"Want...but, need?"
"You need the colours."
"I...do need...?"
The bear knew he had won. His prey looked like he might topple over any second. His face was drunken, unconcerned and so very happy. He was forgetting any sense of danger and drifting deep under Esim's spell. And when the weight of his own body became too much, a helpful bear arm would be there to secure him into service. He smirked, triumphant. "Verrrry good. Now, when I count down from five, you. Will. Be. Mine. You'll belong to your wizard. Doesn't that sound nice? To be a powerful wizard's priceless treasure?"
"Need...colours..."
"Yeeees, so now--" The bear didn't finish the thought. A telltale breeze picked up in the library that whipped into a gale that blew the bear's hood off, revealing his salt and pepper hair and beard. He stumbled slightly. A few books fell from the shelves. The flap of pages turning on their own resounded around him. "What in the--" His eyes locked onto the tanuki. His refined arcanist ears felt a vibration of pure magic thrum over him. He stared with shock at his prey, still unsteady on his feet, becoming shrouded in an ethereal white mist. The mist expanded into the space between them and swelled upward to obscure Esim's vision. He reached out into the fog, his paw vanishing within the depths. He squinted, trying to find his prize and make sure he was still enthralled during this mishap. Thankfully, it seemed his eyes were adjusting. He could almost see the blues and golds of his pattern swirling in the mist. In fact, he could clearly see them in their wonderful, perfect, spinning beauty as they danced before his eyes. He had never understood why those he enchanted found these colours so mesmerizing but as they whirled out of the mist, he found them rather attractive to look at. The ripples pulled at his attention, expanding out before him in a beautiful landscape that he didn't want to pull away from. Whyever would he?
Wait, is this-- Was the last thought he had before a blooming yellow circle stole it away. Esim's attempts at resistance crumbled as an identical hypnotic pattern to his began to splay out before him. Unlike the tanuki, his body went rigid--stiff as a steel beam. He raised his head up to gaze deeper into those beautiful shades. He felt a sudden thrill as the knowledge of where he was and what he was doing began to slip away, a little shot of dopamine in his brain as a reward for losing his mind. His lips pushed his cheeks upward in a dimpled, dopey, toothy smile. His pupils shrank to the tiniest of dots before yellow and blue ripples swelled in his left and right eye respectfully. He gazed deep into the colours that seeped into his thoughts and silenced them. He stood rigid, focus lost on his spell. The knowledge of spells in general began to leave until he was nothing but an attentive teddy bear.

Cole shook his head as he blinked himself back to awareness. "Augh..." He slapped his own cheeks to shake the sluggishness from his head. Recognizing this feeling, he reached down to feel if his pants were still there. To his surprise, they were along with the rest of his clothes. His fuzzy vision came into focus to find himself still in the library. Looking out the dark library window, he judged that not too much time had passed.
Standing at attention on the exact spot that the tanuki saw him earlier when he released that stunning, mind-melting light was the titanic grizzly bear. His eyes spun with the same colours that had almost enchanted Cole and he beamed from ear to ear. Tentatively, Cole waved his hand in front of the bear's eyes. No response. "Hey. You...uh...you okay?"
The bear shuddered at the sound of Cole's soft voice. "...Yes..."
Cole did a full circle around the bear to scan him for any kind of trick. He poked his thick musclegut and he heard the rigid bear release a tiny giggle. "Okay...dunno what happened here, but...you were trying to...make me...like you are now, weren't you? All swirly-eyed and suggestible?"
"Yes..." The bear spoke the truth without reservation, pure bliss in his voice as he obeyed the tanuki's calming tone.
Cole's face reddened. For the first time, he got to see how he himself looked when under hypnosis. Despite the stupid grin and lack of dignity the bear displayed, Cole found his pants getting tight at the thought that he nearly became this blissfully stupefied. "And...what were you going to do to me when you did?"
The bear sighed, unable to resist answering with perfect honesty. As he spoke, Cole clocked how his silk pants tented in response to his own obedience. "Needed an assistant. Was going to ensorcell you...you were handsome...vulnerable...perfect for service...both domestic and...and physical..."
Cole swallowed and adjusted his pants. "...And you're...gonna do whatever I say?"
"Yes sir..."
"Anything?"
"Yes sir..."
"...D-Do what you were going to make me do."
Not a second passed between the words leaving his lips and the bear snapping into action. The older, larger bear kneeled before the tanuki submissively, smile still so wide. He gripped the tanuki's supple hips and began to rub his face shamelessly into his crotch. Little grunts of joy escaped the bear's lips as he marked himself in the tanuki's scent. "I am my Master's property."
Cole nearly fired off into his own jeans right there. His own body went rigid as he realized what he was doing and deciding he didn't care. The bear would've done the same to him, after all. Filling his tinier paws with the bear's big ears, Cole whimpered with pleasure. "W-Were you gonna make me stop there?"
"No sir..." the bear growled hungrily, deep under his own spell. With his two gargantuan paws, he grabbed the rim of Cole's pants and ripped them in twain with a satisfying tear.
"Ah!" Cole shouted, about to complain about the cost of those jeans. All was forgiven when he felt the bear's silky muzzle gobble his cock in one go. His eyes rolled back and his paws began to guide the bear's head back and forth automatically. "Okay--I see why guys like you hypnotize me now. Hollllly shit..."
The bear hummed happily, in utter rapture to know his new Master was happy. The handsome, kind tanuki deserved his obedience. Unbeknownst to either of them as the bear's head bobbed up and down, little swathes of mist wafted away from the tanuki's fingertips. They swirled through the bear's fur and into his eyes, refreshing the colours he needed to remain within his Master's thrall. How such magic existed or how it had countered his own spell no longer concerned him. All that concerned him was the dripping rod in his mouth and how best the old wizard could please his smaller, mortal Master.
