Chapter 27: the fury of wolves past

Wolf Point, the small hamlet decorated for Christmas , on each lightpost there were holiday lights, and in the old main Square a 60 foot christmas tree stood tall and decorated. WolfMoore's Gifts on the Square , its main window shining with lights of every color imaginable, Paige can be seen through the window just finishing the last few touchs with a smile. Over at the federal courthouse and Post Office old man Wilson, the postal worker and carrier was just unlocking for the morning. .

The tall buildings surround Roen , as he walks down the street, Its a crisp slightly overcast day, as he made his way to the ATM on the corner about two blocks from his place .

his silver grey fur shining in the little sunlight that exists, wearing a long black trench coat, and a black beanie with Connor at his side. he stops at an a ATM, his right hand already in his messenger bag, reaching for his wallet that always seems to get lost in there .

Thinking to himself what he had to buy for dinner before he got home back to Alex's place, he plugs in his headset, and the speech welcomes him to the ATM.

"Yeah... yeah... I know , I know , just let me get 30 dollars out already." he complains to himself, Connor sitting at his side yawning, looking around, his tail wagging every so often..

a rather shifty orange and white fox notices the silvery grey wolf, and the black German Shepherd at he ATM, the teen smiles to himself.

"Looks like my lucky day." he thinks, as he walks up behind the wolf and Shepherd, waiting in line behind them. "Hey Hey buddy, you got some smokes on you?" he asks, hoping his would get the wolf's attention seeing 30 bucks; a $20 and $10, notes waiting to be claimed by the wolf

"What...? " . ROen asks, hearing someone ask, as the ATM's speech thanks him for his banking business. "Sorry no I don't smoke." comes his reply, gathering Connor's leash and the handle of the harness, in his hand and quickly searches for the nearest Grocery store on his IPhone.

"Grocery store is 2 blocks away, would you like to go there - yes button, no button." asks the GPS, ROe flicking to the

YES button and double tapping confirming his choice.

ROen still sensing the other fur around, speaks up .

"Did you need something else"

Suddenly ROen feels a hand at his shirt collar,

"Just give me the cash," the orange fox says with as much poison he can fill his voice with.

ROen drops Connor's leash quickly -ROen calmly, but with power brings his right arm to strike against the hand at his collar, and breaking the teen's grip , and then with his left arm pushes the teen's arm farther down, brings back his right arm with a back fist, stopping just before striking the surprised teen, and placing a foot just right so the teen when he stepped back would fall on his ass.

"Wow...... wait... hey ... sorry!" is all the teen could get out, , very much scared at what the blind wolf had just done.

"Now why don't you go bug someone else, I have shopping to do." Roen says, his hands now back at his side, Connor standing then with leash dropped on his back, and handle of the harness resting on his back, looking at his

handler with pride in his brown eyes as ROen and Connor walk away.

It was a few days later when Roen and Alex where christmas shoppping , and it turns into another damn street punk trying to steal Roe's wallet.

It all started when ROen was thinking about where to start shopping, either at Bath & body works or at Radio-Shack, near the E.B. Games video game store, but no, this punk just suddenly grabs his arm and demands his wallet, like this didn't happen last week at the ATM when Roen was getting grocery money with Connor , but sadly he's sick right now .

But back to this street punk: Roen had somehow ended up on the ground, the kid standing over him I the kid looking down at ROe with a smile on his face thinking he'd be easy, maybe a few kicks to his side and "he drop to the ground begging for him to stop. Well guess what, just try it you jerk.... " Roen thinks to himself

He came back to the here and now: a few drops of the kid's spit laying on his face .

as he kicked ROen in the ribs, having enough of that he grabbed the kid's foot and with his titanium telescopic cane fully extended struck at his easily exposed, soft spot of nerves between a guy's legs. His voice got high as ROen got to his feet. "So still want my wallet?" ROen asked the kid who was holding his crotch.

with his voice still high pitched he replied, "Nah, you can keep it."

As the punk ran off his running steps muffled by the snow

Roen smiled as Alex ran up joining him at the bikes, Ace standing there looking around and sniffing, the bags of christmas gifts on the ground now.

"You ok Roe?" Alex asks, "the security guard said there where some guys trying to hold up old ladies out here."

"Yeah ran into one of them but I took care of it." Roen says, as he picks up a shopping bag and starts to pack it's contents into the saddle bags. "Well ok." Alex says as he joins in on packing stuff into his own saddle bags for the ride home.

Some time later the two where riding down the road the snow just starting to fall again as they reach a intersection as the light changes the two starting to move, with out warning another driver slams into Roe, his bike spinning off into a ditch Roen getting thrown from the bike. .

Sirens sound as Alex reachs the hospital as his

silver grey blury form ran through the lobby of the hospital , reaching the front desk, the female rabbit looking rather scared of the running wolf coming towards her.

His paws on his knees, "M...my ...his...boyfriend ...is he here? its Oliver "

The nurse rabbit thumbs through the records finding the name. "yes he's here." Typing a few more things into the computer.` "He's in ICU, Go straight and then make a left." she instructs.

With that Alex, Ace who's guiding and Connor on leash make there way to the ICU; Alex approaches the door, already hearing the beeping of medical equipment and a breathing machine's hissing as it pumps air into Roen's nose and mouth. Alex gives a light knock as he enters calling out Roe's name, approaching the bedside. "Hey hun, I'm here with Connor."

Connor already on his front legs on the side of the bed sniffing Roe and the machines , nudging Roe's limp hand with his muzzle Roe's hand twitching at the chill of Connor's nose.

As Connor whines softly after removing his nose and looking back at Alex and Ace.

"I know Connor ..." Alex says, his wrist itching to flixk his morpher into life and teleport Roe to the Command Center and let the Advanced Technology heal ROen.

Alex sighs just wondering why he couldn't do just that, the rules didn't say they couldn't use the ranger tech if a Ranger isn't hurt while defending the Earth. Alex flicks his wrist summoning his morpher to his wrist and raises it to his mouth, contacting Abby at base .

"Hey Abs do you read me?" Alex asks, "Roe has been in a motorcycle accident."

At the Command Center, Abby picks up on Alex's Communication, "Yeah Alex run a scan with your morpher and it will send the data back to me and I'll let the computers see if the Cryo-chamber can heal ROe. We have access to this Advanced technology to why not use it for good.," Abby response,

back to Alex he begins the scans of Roen as he lay in the hospital bed, the the greenish blue light moving over Roe's body the morpher humming and beeping every so offen, finally finishing minutes later with a few beeps.

"Scan complete, transmitting data on Lunar Wolf Ranger." the Ai says with a few more beeps and pops. "Okay Alex I've got the data on ROe." Comes Abby's voice from the morpher, "Its not too bad, about what you would expect from his accident."

"Like a few ribs broken I take it?" Alex asks, his arm raised his morpher close to his mouth.

"initiating teleportation sequence now" Abby says, as before Alex, Ace and Connor Roen is teleported from the hospital bed. As Alex and the two kanines follow and teleport to the command center.

At the command Center, three beams of light, Alex's purple and Connor and Ace's two smokey black grey shapes materialize on the teleportation pad just outside Abby's computer stations.

The Command Center was built in a Caverness space under the Sage mansion lit by dim lighting, the natrual rock formations visible. As Alex and the two kanines walk

over Suspended walkways by cabling , towards the med bay, Roe already hooked up to the same medical equipment from the hospital and the more Advanced Ranger technology.

"Good to see you here Alex. Hi Connor, Ace." Abby greeting the 3 as she looks over the medical data. Roen lay in the bed twitching every now and then , his ribs and head wrapped and taped , his left arm in a cast and hanging up in the air to ease the pull,all the while the flimsy hospital gown hiding his modesty.

THe view of Alex and Abby growe hazy fading out to a grey tinged environment the small town of Wolf Point aged many years the buildings burned out and crumbling, this is where Roen found himself wonder in his normal street clothes, his shoulder length hair tied back ,his upper studs and earrings in place their cobalt blue shining in the diffused daylight. A heavy wind blowing ruffling his hair, Roen looks around being able to see for some reason, neither the ranger helmet or Captain Ro'en Visor acting as radar sense.

"Hello!?" " ROen Shouts out his hands cupped around his mouth, the word echoing in the derelict downtown. The echoing coming back to his ears. "Where am I? everything looks like a bomb went off."

Roen flicks his wrist trying to summon his morpher, the power of the Morphing Grid not flowing through him to cause his Morpher to appear. "Great!" He groans out, "No access to the morphing Grid, whereever I am."

"Reminds me of that episode of Dino Thunder where Tommy fights for his life against his past ranger forms." I guess if I see the lunar wolf I'll know what to do. Roen says thinking to himself , continuing to wonder downtown Wolf Point.

Sometime later , Roen found himself at his parents' house, it too just the remains of its former glory, Roe goes up the driveway and find the door unlocked, entering he finds his way to his bedroom everything as he left it, Connor's lifeless body nothing but bones laying on his bed as if the bomb killed him and everyone else where they lay.. Roe sees another form on the bed, its familiar ring of silver and cobalt blue clueing ROen that it was ALex, who lay there the remains of a book burned to nothing in his boney fingers.

"I don't know what's happen, but god I hope this is some painkiller induced nightmare." Roen says backing away from the remains. He makes his way outside tears staining his cheeks as they run down his face.

A blaste suddenly hits ROen from nowhere knocking him back into the outter wall of his childhood home, growning out he looks up at his attacker,

"Hey ROe what do you think?" Comes a female voice, echoing all around him. .

"Hmm nice work if you like dystopian futures. " Roe responds back sarcastically. His attacker appears wearing a black cloak, throwing back the hood, revealing a anthropomorphic Bird with a woman's features.

"So let me guess Lady Avion, and your here to kill me." Roen says having got to his feet and taken a fighting stance. "I might not have my Lunar Caller but I can put up enough of a fight for you."

"My husband wants you dead but I find you amusing." She says with a smile, "Here." as she throws something at Roe's feet. "Take it ranger."

ROen kneels down, picking up the object, finding a silver box in his hand, and opens it, revealing a cobalt blueish silver power morpher with a silver wolf Power coin in its center.. WIth 5 other morphers of different colors around it.

"How'd you get other power coins?" Roen asks, standing back up , holding the cobalt bluish silver power morpher in his hands. The silver box at his feet.

"Your's aren't the only Ranger powers in the universe, Lunar Wolf." Lady Avion says, as she turns around her cloak billowing out and disappears in a puff of smoke, knocking Roen back to the ground, knocking him unconscious.

Back at the Command Center's Medbay, Roen awakes finding the cobalt bluish silver power morpher still in his hand, the silver box containing the other morphers at his feet. near the end of the bed. Alarms sound as Roen struggles wrrapping himself in the many wires of the medical equipment.

As Abby and Alex come running in Seeing Roen conscious.. Soon trying to calm him down, his heartrate going back to normal on the monitor. His oxygen mask being removed, his breathing weak but he could speak..

"That morpher, where did it come from?" Roen asks, fingering the original style of morpher.

"Don't know,it and that silver box where here when we got in." Abby replies, opening the box at Roen's feet. Finding 5 remaining morphers, yellow, purple, blue and black with one empty spot for the morpher in Roe's hands. The 5 coins all some breed of wolf, similar to past, alternate dimensions and future teams of Rangers' with a wolf ranger on the team.

"THere all wolves," Abby observes, "This yellow one looks like the yellow Galacta Beast Wolf Zord.", this Blue one is the Blue Wolf Ninja Zord, this Black one RPM's wolf cruiser zord, and Purple is Jugle fury's wolf zord and the one your holding Ro is the Silver Wild Force Lunar wolf."

"So a Ranger team of all wolves, no different then are current Ranger powers, just looks like Connor and Ace would be different colors, and one extra." Roen says, "Me Silver lunar wolf, Alex Purple wolf, Connor Blue wolf, Ace black wolf and you Abbs Yellow wolf, if you want it."

"How would we activate the power though?" Alex asks, picking up the purple morhpher . "Connor , Ace- change."

With that Connor and Ace transform to their anthro forms, picking up the Blue and Black morphersWith Abby finally picking up the yellow morpher.

As ROen gets up and stands with the others, with support from Alex.

"Okaythen, Ready?"?" ROen asks aloud with his morpher held high , "Ready!" The others respond, assembling around Roe, readying their own morphers. "Its morphin time - Wolf Fury - spirit unleashed!" the 5 say in unison.

Roen's Morph

"Silver Wolf fury ." With a wolf's growl, the morph activates, the Energy surrounding ROen the suit forms as well as the helmet hiding his identity with the spirits of wolves howling, the howls coming from nowhere.

"With the cunning of a wolf, silver Wolf Ranger !"

ALex's Morph

"Purple Wolf fury ..."

With a wolf's growl, the morph activates, the Energy surrounding ALex the suit forms as well as the helmet hiding his identity with the spirits of wolves howling, the howls coming from nowhere. .

"With the courage of a wolf! Purple wolf ranger!"-- ALex takes a fighting stance.

Connor/Ace combined Morph - already anthro form

The Power coins glow blue and black, the Energy flowing outwards from Connor and Ace's power coins.

"Blue Wolf Fury!! " comes ghostly howling whispers, Energy surrounds Connor with the Energy continuing to coalesce into a Royal Blue body suit with navy blue silver helmet, with wolf markings , gloves and boots.

"WIth the wisdom of a Wolf, Blue Wolf Ranger!"

"Black Wolf Fury! " Energy surrounds Ace with the Energy continuing to coalesce into a black body suit with silver markings of a black wolf helmet and with wolf markings , gloves and boots.

"With the stealth of a wolf, Black WOlf Ranger!"

Abby's Morph:

Yellow Wolf Fury!" With a wolf's growl, the morph activates, the Energy surrounds Abby, the yellow bodysuit forming around her, with wolf markings , gloves and boots, with the yellow wolf helmet hiding her identity.

"With the Speed of a Wolf, Yellow Wolf Ranger!"

The Wolf Rangers stand there as the spirits of the wolves howling whispers fades, the Energy surrounding them also fading as they take shape. "Power Rangers Wolf Fury!" Guardians of the Earth,Together we howl! The 5 Rangers shout in a team role call.

The 5 Rangers start looking at themselves, Abby the most amazed at the suit and the flow of power that she could feel through her connection of the Morphing Grid .

"Does it always feel like your humming with power??" Abby asks the others.

"At first yeah, but you get use to it after your in a battle." Roen says, pulling his power morpher from his belt. "It feels like Wild Force's silver Lunar Wolf, but different somehow." As he continues to play with the Morpher in his hands. After playing with the Morpher a bit longer fatigue takes over as Roe falls to his knees. "Power down!" he whispers out as the Energy flows back into the Morphing Grid and he's helped back to bed.

"The others come running over as Roen lays back in bed,

"I guess even with new powers I still need to rest, huh?"

Abby looks over the sensor display at Roen's vital signs and body scan. "It looks like Morphing spent up your healing though Roe."

"Well that's good, now if we could market it, Power ranger Advanced medical healing." Alex says sarcastically, as Roe smiles starting to get a bit loopy from the now flowing morphine into his system.
