Awakening
The only thought that was running through Jonas' mind was "oh shit". This female meant business but he didn't have to time to stick around and screw her just because she was in heat. He side stepped around her and said "Look, I'm not a stud...I don't just have sex with people I don't know." He gritted his teeth and was ready for an attack when someone tapped him on the shoulder and his mouth twitched with irritation. "What is it?" He asked not turning around just in case he was going to be sucker punched by whoever was behind him. "Jonas...you need to relieve yourself of stress." He recognized Leona voice as she spoke softly behind him. "No. What I need is to get my fallen friends back to Earth...THAT'S what I need." He snarled at her as his canine teeth grew a half inch and his eye color turned a very bright ember. He tried to calm himself down but something was surfacing, something was changing within him and he could feel it in his gut. He had an instinct to run and he took off so fast that he didn't have time to think about what he was doing. He stopped some hundred feet away and he saw things so clear that he could tell how many animals and people had walked through the area he was in and he turned to see if he was followed but saw no sign of Leona or the wolf at all. He could still smell the scent of the wolfs heat even when being so far away from her when he turned his attention to a footprint in the ground near him.
He kneeled down to look at the print to see that it was human and that the human was very heavy just by how deep the print was in the ground. He looked in the general direction of where the print pointed and began to walk in that direction when he heard a rifle charge up and he spun around knocking a rifle out of whoever's hand that was aiming at him. He was surprised to see that the private was still alive or so he thought but he looked closer and noticed that the human didn't give off a scent or smell. "Who or what are you?" Jonas asked the apparent human. "I am unit 793 Alpha...a combat android left behind by the first colonists of this planet." Jonas was shocked an Alpha unit hadn't been used for almost a decade and he was surprised to see it in such great condition. "Why did you try to shoot me?" Jonas asked with a bit of irritation. "The chemical balance of your body mimics that of some of the feral's of this planet and I thought you were hunting me when I saw you notice my tracks." Jonas turned and faced the opposite direction when he asked over his shoulder. "Did you happen to find any marines wearing the H.I.M.F logo around here?" The android went to pick up its rifle and spoke without any life in its words. "There were a few that i found not far from where you came from...which is approximately near a small water source...hard to miss since it's the only one that is nearby." Jonas nodded and walked towards where he came from when he felt a sharp pain in his side and doubled over in pain.
Jonas looked to his side to see a smoldering hole in his armor and he looked up to see a wolf with sunglasses and cigar in its mouth. "Sorry Bub but you got in the way of my shot." The wolf said as he walked over to Jonas. Jonas gritted his teeth again and asked with a snarl. "HOW THE FUCK DID I NOT HEAR THE DAMN BARK OF THE RIFLE!?" The wolf jumped in surprised and said with some slight fear. "Well considering that I'm a scientist and I'm testing a new technology you wouldn't be able to see or hear this rifle. And apparently it hurts like hell." Jonas glared at the wolf. "Well, no shit Sherlock!" Jonas got up as his wound healed at such an alarming rate that he was shocked to have recovered so fast. "What the hell?" he muttered to himself as he began to walk off but the wolf shouted after him. "Wouldn't you like some help!?" Jonas just ignored the wolf and kept walking when he smelt the female wolf nearby. "You can come out of hiding...I know you're there." He scanned around, waiting on her to show herself when she pinned his arm behind his back so fast he didn't have time to react and she said really close to his ear. "And how did you know I was hiding, hm?" Jonas tried to look at her over his shoulder but couldn't and said "Well, it's not every day that a female wolf is in heat now is it?" Jonas slowly dislocated his shoulder and twisted out of her arm lock in a flash and was looking at her. "So tell me, Why is it that you choose to stalk me like a deer?" He asked with his eyes glowing a bright ember. She was surprised by the color of his eyes and said "You don't know what you are, do you?" Jonas just scoffed "Who gives a shit about what I am...I could be a fucking zebra and no one would care." Jonas's HUD popped up in front of him showing him a route to his squad mates and he saved the route to his map and then looked at the wolf. "I'm going to ask you one last time...why are you following me?" The wolf smiled. "It's because you have the scent of an alpha male about you and it attracts alot of us...women." Jonas just frowned and shook his head and spun on his heels and began to take the route that had popped up on his HUD.
Jonas, after calming down from his "animalistic" side as he called it, was surprised about how little he knew of it. It was a family secret that no one in his family wanted to share with him and now he was the only family he had left. He thought about what his mother told him when he was six. "Boy, you are going to be one those people that have a human and animal side to them if you even understand." Jonas was still confused about what she meant by human and animal side but he shook his head to get rid of those thoughts when something hit him in the back of the head so hard that he was knocked out.
