A Search for Slime
#1 of My stories

What originally was a search to find a strange new species turned dark as the creature seemed to find me. I was nervous going into the search, but had no idea just how it would react. Looks like it's taken a liking to me, and all I can tell you is that I'm not going to be going anywhere soon.
How did this happen? Read on to find out!
It wasn't that long ago that I had set out on my research journey. My original intentions were just to find this thing and get it back for a closer look at the lab, but I was wrong, oh so wrong, to underestimate what it could do. And now, I'm stuck under its controls and desires. But I guess I should start from the beginning.
My name is Jacob, and I'm a biologist. I investigate different species living on our planet to better record what we know about them and how to discover what we don't. I had been working for a few years or so before I got my first ever field job. Rumor had it that in the forests of Russia existed a never-before seen animal species, of which could only be described as a "slime". The man who originally found the creature came across it while he had left his fireplace unattended, returning to find a gelatinous, amoeba-like creature curled around the flame before suddenly dashing out of his house before he had a chance to interact with it. Many other people in the area have also reported sightings of the being, though all have since been mere glances of its figure while hiking or driving.
My intentions were to head out with my colleagues to find this creature and research more about it. We set out on a Friday by plane on a layover flight to England that would eventually get us to our Russian destination. I wasn't quite sure what to think about the creature by identity of word alone. The thought of it was so strange to me, so foreign in concept. My mind kept tripping over the details while we were flying, that I ended up writing down what I knew in my notebook just to keep my story straight. From what we gathered so far, the creature was translucent, amoeba in design, and had a strange affinity to heat. Perhaps it was warm-blooded and reacted to heat? But that still doesn't explain the appearance. A slime creature? What kind of animal is that supposed to be? Or is it even an animal?
The questions kept racking my brain as we landed. We decided to spend the night before the hunt at one of the local hotels closest to our first area of investigation. During that night, we tried to look back over our data on the creature's location. Using sighting reports, we were able to narrow down our search to a handful of areas. We decided that we'd scope out the area and split into teams to cover more ground. I had a bit of trouble sleeping that night, the thought of the creature still on my mind. Just what could it be, if it even existed in the first place? Only time would tell what we'd find.
The next day we arrived at our location a little after sunrise. We presumed this would be the optimal time to begin the search since, going off our notes, it enjoyed heat, so it would probably be on the move around now. They said it was supposed to be warm in the mornings, but I didn't feel that way at all, so I was glad to bring a heavy coat with me, definitely warming me up. After splitting into groups, we all headed out into different directions. Fortunately, we all carried transceiver devices on us in case we got in trouble, but unfortunately, I ended up with the short end of the stick and went out alone with no partner. Save for birds rising in the morning sun to sing their tunes and the occasional message cutting through my device, it was quiet all around me.
I wandered around practically aimlessly as I tried to find this creature. What was I even supposed to be looking for in the first place? All we had to go off were word of mouth descriptors, and that doesn't do you much good when you're walking around an area you've never been before. I just kept trudging forwards, wondering just how much further I'd go before turning back, when my transceiver spoke a message. One of my colleagues detailed a potential sight, gaining the attention of the others in our group. He insisted we stay on path looking for it ourselves in case it was a false alarm, but nonetheless he kept moving forwards to go after what he saw. As the radio went silent again, I sighed, unsure whether to feel excited or dull about the find. Questions still raced around in my mind, unwilling to leave. I couldn't think straight, finding it hard to focus on anything at all. I was practically lost in these woods, alone to my thoughts. Would anyone find me out here if something happen? Or would I find something to regret seeing?
Suddenly, in the moment of difficulty I faced, I heard a noise in the distance. It sounded like a shifting bush. I looked in the direction of the noise only to see something darting out of my view behind a tree. I couldn't quite make out what it was, but it looked to be something colored lime green. Curious, I turned myself towards it and slowly crept up to the tree. Every step forward felt like an eternity, but when I finally reached it, I knelt behind and peered over the side. And that's when I saw it, and my eyes went wide.
Not but a few feet from me towered an enormous gelatinous beast. Its appearance was that of a lime green amoeba, just like the information we had written down. I was awestruck at its appearance, having forgotten all about my transceiver device, and reached to grab my notebook from my coat pocket. I took note of how it moved, stretching out an appendage to then slowly flood itself into that side. It seemed to move like a slug, or maybe a sea cucumber, slowly trailing along as it reacted to its surroundings, not seeming to have any real thought. I was so captivated by the creature, leaning forward to keep focused.
But that was my mistake, as I suddenly lost the grip to my notebook. I fumbled to catch it, but to no avail, as it went careening down to the ground with a crunch as it settled amongst the leaves. Quickly the creature turned its attention towards the sound, and subsequently me. I stopped dead in my tracks, unable to move. Then slowly, it began to amble in my direction.
I wasn't sure how to react in that moment, my legs barely having function left in them, save for standing and wobbling. The beast made its way up to me and peered down at my notebook. Perhaps it could only detect sound, I thought? I held my breath, trying to stay silent, but my transceiver was deciding not to work with me that day. My colleague called through he radio announcing a false alarm, causing the creature to change direction and look at me. A tendril, originally pointed at the notebook, began waving around slowly in the air as it seemed to sense me. I just watched its movements, the creature spreading itself out to get a better look at me as well. It seemed fascinated with me somehow, curious of whatever I was supposed to be. The way it examined me made it look like a curious animal, just as unsure of how to react to me as I was to react to it. It reached down and grazed at my hand, wobbling a bit as it did so. It felt cool and wet, truly living up to its name of slime.
But then suddenly it wrapped around my hand, attempting to pull at me. I jerked my arm away in fear, trying to knock it off me, only for it to reach back once more. I stepped back, attempting to gain distance on the creature, but I then noticed that the appendages behind me were also closing in. I realized in that moment that the reason it was attracted to me was not just due to the sound I had made, but also the heat radiating from my body. I wanted to rip off my coat in attempt to distract it and run, but I knew could do nothing to stop it now. All I could manage to do was place up my hands in defense, begging for it to stop. But it was too late, the beast had already chosen its target.
Slowly I found two of the tendrils wrapping around my legs and two around my arms. They tightened and straddled me, pulling me tightly in different directions. I tried to fight back, but the creature had a vice grip on my body. One of the tendrils rose its way above my head before pushing back down onto my face. I tried to look away from it, still in an effort to fight. But what I didn't expect was that instead of engulfing me, it creature had thought of a different method, and began forcing its way down my throat.
I attempted to scream out in fear, but my screams were quickly silenced as the creature flooded into my body. It felt like some sort of coagulated juice was being poured down my throat, cooling me from the inside out. It didn't take long before it reached my stomach, dropping into me like water rushing into a balloon. Slowly, I felt my stomach begin to tighten as the beast filed into my gut. I could feel it stretching me ever so slowly, causing my coat to bulge out a bit as it raised up on my chest. The feeling was so alien to me, having never even tried to eat this much before. But this creature was half the size of an elephant, and if the way it moved gave any indication, it wasn't planning on stopping anytime soon.
As my stomach distended, it didn't take long for the coat to start protesting. I had grown at least half a foot by now, and my coat was straining to take on the weight. I nearly jumped as the first button popped, though not as if I could have actually moved in that state, then the second one came, and the third and fourth. By the time the whole set had given way I was now reaching a good foot outward. But the creature did not seem to stop, still pushing its way into me. Parts of the beast fell away as it moved, dripping onto my fluffed and ever-so-bloated fur and causing it to glisten in the morning light. I now could watch, to my horror, the continuing growth of my body, my stomach slowly pulsating in a motion that grew with every second. I felt heavy and tired, wishing for this to end. I could only wonder how I had not popped from the shear amount that had already found its way into me. What more could go in me at this rate? From the beast's perspective, there seem to be no limit, my bulging cheeks only a slight indication of what the end goal was.
By the time the creature reached half its original mass, I was reaching two feet. My arms and thighs had begun to pudge up from the added material as well. Perhaps it wasn't actually filling my stomach, but rather fusing into my body itself. That might explain why I hadn't popped yet, or why the only pain I felt was a bloated sensation. Seeming to have trouble holding me up at this point, the beast lowered me ever so slowly to the ground. Unfortunately, my transceiver seemed to be as unlucky as me in that moment, as I found myself landing on top of it with a crack. I don't think I'd be able to use it anymore, if I'd even be able to grab it from underneath my body when everything was over. I at least had assumed that at this point it was going to keep filling me from the front, but as I landed atop a puddle of slime around my rear, of which subsequently covered the transceiver parts, I could tell that this was not the case. I suddenly felt myself lifted back up from behind, and what was lifting me also prodded at my backside, attempting to barge its way in through my legs turned thunder thighs. Slowly but surely it managed to slip in, beginning to fill my bowels in the same volume as my mouth. I let out a moan at the new sensation that was quickly muffled by the slime in my mouth. The beast seemed to want to completely fill me up, making me reach up to three feet of gelatinous, pudgy, squishy corgi hide.
I couldn't keep track of the time that went by. My coat had all but fallen away at this point as my arms of cellulite busted through them long ago. By the time I reached probably six feet was when I started to feel the pace slowing down. The creature lowered me down to the ground before I suddenly felt it disappear. It seemed like it was finally over, and my weary brain only partially realized that as it came back to consciousness. The creature was nowhere in sight, though that may have been due to how it had filled me up completely. I looked down at my body and marveled over the creature's work. My stomach was a plush ball of pudge that sat in rolls of its own furry design. My arms and legs were as bloated as my insides, filled to the brim and threatening to engulf my belly if put together. My neck had developed a scarf of sorts, fat circling over me like a warm, soft, malleable neck pillow. My cheeks had become the size of softballs, whether by the slime fused into my body or still left in my cheeks. And all over my body were patches of the fluid left over where it had dripped onto me, covering my body in spots of lime-green.
My eyes were growing as heavy as the weight on my body, and I couldn't help but succumb to it, having given up my will to fight back long ago. I slept sitting upright, unable to move against my giant body. But the sleep I had was wonderful nonetheless. I felt warm and snug in my own body, dreaming about things I don't remember, yet made me all the happier. Something about the way this creature was now inside me could only make me smile. What once scared and confused me made me oddly happy. It was only when woke up did I realize this happiness was seen by others. I awoke around still boated cheeks to the sight of different colored shapes, and as I focused, I noticed they were all different varieties of that slime creature. With a smile still on my face, I let out a moaning question of "m-more" as I watched a purple tendril slowly fall down onto my face.
It seemed that it was not over yet, and if the amount of them all gave any indication as to how long this would take, well, let's just say I'm glad I'm comfortable sitting where I am. Guess all I can do now is dream, that is if my dreams aren't the same as being awake. Oh well, it could be worse. At least I'm not afraid of them anymore. In fact, I'm actually kind of... hungry. I wonder what this next one will taste like.
