The two four-legged shadows emerged from the forest glade, running after each other playfully. Their giggles and laughter filled the sunny air as the sun's warmth, which was a big change from the usual cold blizzards of the late winter season.

The creatures were both dogs, looking as though they appeared to come from two different worlds. The scruffy-haired dog was a male; his large paws, brownish-gray coat, tan body markings, and large yellow eyes made him appear with the likeness of a natural-born wolf, yet he seemed to have the gentleness and demeanor of a loyal sled dog. The other dog was indeed a husky - a purebred bitch with colors of bright burgundy and ivory. Her posture and features showed her as a perfectly-bred and graceful pet - dainty paws and legs, elegantly formed head, and her large yet fluffy curled tail, all trademarks of a female with a perfect bloodline - but why was she with such a stray as he?

To the couple, they did not worry about their differences, unlike their local companions who saw otherwise.

To her, he was a heroic, young pup that carried within him the ultimate heart and soul of a champion. She saw his inner beauty - a part of him that other people and dogs didn't understand. Because of him, he saved the most important human in her life: her young owner, Rosy. Everyone else had given up hope, except for her . . . she believed in his ability to do what was right when it was necessary, and because of his power and the wolf blood flowing through his veins, he kicked into gear at the right time and led a lost sled team back home, where a hero's welcome awaited them all - more especially to the half-breed that endured the blinding blizzard conditions and other dangers in the Alaskan wilderness to save his fellow kind, no matter what. Although the other huskies bullied and jeered him, the fate of those dying children and townspeople were more important to him than any type of torture that the sled dogs could do to him. Although his looks made him seem lupine, his actions showed him to be tamer than the tamest-bred husky in town.

To him, she was the most loyal and beautiful dog to ever walk on the face of the earth. He had seen her from afar as a younger pup whenever he roamed through town for scraps, but it was that day of the big race that made him infatuated with her beauty . . . the same day that they unexpectedly had their first kiss. Ever since then, he watched her from his home, seeing the worried look in her eyes as she continued her vigil on her ailing young mistress. He never liked to see her suffer, yet he, being the outcast of her friendship, felt he was the cause of her sadness whenever they were separated by the humans to whom she was raised with for years. Yet . . . it was her that made him decide to go after the lost sled team. Losing Rosy would cause the husky the most ultimate grief, and he thought . . . perhaps, perhaps there was something he could do to prevent this from happening. She was his strength, his dream, his eternally guiding light back home. As soon as flickering colors of her faux Northern Lights against the bordering mountains of town came into his sights, he glowed with glee; he was glad to know that she, unlike the rest of town, hadn't stopped believing in him.

Now that they had each other, but still there was only one other thing that they could ever want.

Red and Brown had found a calm spot of snow to rest for the day. The red husky was slightly shivering against her mate's touch as they laid next to each other's furry bodies. The brown half-breed suddenly awoke from his nap and nuzzled his darling to calm her, but realized that they needed more warmth. Rising from their frigid bed, the two walked towards a back house with beds of golden straw. Perhaps this would keep them warm . . . for a while.

Time went on as the minutes turned into hours, but the husky still quivered in the warmth of the barn house. Brown knew he had to get her warm himself . . . by all means necessary. He stood up and soon overshadowed the female. He gazed at her beautiful, shivering figure, admiring every moving inch and secret crack of his lover's perfection. Her eyes of light hazel-orange lined her thin face to her chest and stomach, constantly rising and falling as she breathed silently, shuttering on the golden bedding of straw.

What the male wolf-dog was feeling at this moment was unknown, but it must have been his wild instincts that made his body react in such a way. Never before had he seen such a beautiful creature in his midst. He had no other choice but to follow his inner wolf, no matter what resulted from it.

Gently with a nervous coat of blush on his tan cheeks, the half-breed began lowering himself onto his partner's back, not stopping until his two-toned tail blanketed hers. She let out a groan, feeling this weight heavily pressing her into the straw. A grin came upon the male's face as he began to position his doghood in between those thin, dainty hind legs and slowly thrusting forward and stopped, awaiting a response.

Her eyes opened wide as a gasp escaped her muzzle. She had never been in this situation before, and the pain was unbearable, burning like an inferno within her thighs. It turned her on and added a speckle of pink to her white face, yes, but she had thoughts of pulling out. She wasn't ready for motherhood yet, but she trusted him; her body answered otherwise as she hung on for the ride that would change her life.

The male relaxed himself and went back for more, now grabbing a hold of the husky's orange bandanna and shoulder so he could go deeper within. She yelped a cry of pain, now feeling his entirety inside her sacred cavern. She wanted more, much more. He went in and out, in and out; he went slowly at first, but as the motions got easier to perform within the purebred, he began thrusting harder and harder with all of his might. She panted as every inward motion pushed against her tunnel walls then pulled outward. The male went faster, faster, faster until he couldn't hold on anymore. It was coming . . . coming . . . coming fast . . . .

She felt something pour through her . . . it was released right into her bitchhood . . . It was a warm, fast-flowing sensation that she had never felt before in her young life. She howled out as the male clutched against her back, pressing the female to the hay as they were becoming one inside each other. The air was hot now, and the two canines panted on each other with their hearts synchronized in pounding beats.

"Oh, Jenna . . ." the wolf-dog could see his own breath as he spoke softly into the burgundy velvet ear of his lover. "I feel . . . like the . . . luckiest dog alive." He rubbed his wet nose against her reddish-brown neck fur as he slowly began to eject himself from within the husky's sacred cavern. "Oh, Jen. I love you . . . so much."

"Balto . . ." The female let out a moan after the release, collapsing onto the bed of straw, weakened by the loss of her purity. Tears swelled in her eyes as she returned the comment with a kiss on the nose and an unexpected smile. "I love you too."

Well, at least she wasn't cold anymore.
