There was a mouse that lived within the walls of the house, which was protected by a cat, which had a job to catch the mouse but had the most horrendous two years of not being able to catch the mouse. The house was owned by the feline but found out after purchasing the new home that he had another squatting inside of the property and this was the situation the cat found himself. The male cat was sat in his armchair, the glass of whiskey in his paw as the male listened to some music as the fire danced about within the fireplace. To the side on the small wooden polished table, a gold rimmed saucer with a mine pie, half eaten as various crumbs fell to the hard smooth surface of the saucer itself, the cat was pure black furred as he looked down at the business newspaper on his lap and smiled, he had made quite a fair bit of money this year, especially from those who were dumb enough to fall for his promises of riches.
With another sip of his whiskey, the feline smiled and purred to himself, he lived there on his own in the huge mansion, bar from the mouse that had decided to live illegally inside his property, but after losing out on various court cases, the cat stopped going the legal route and instead took it on himself to do it no matter what. Jose looked at the open hole in the sideboard, the cat glared but there were no traps around the area, it was all clear, bar the various pistols that had been set up in case anything pressed down on that floorboard. The feline had decided that it was better to just murder the mouse, pay off whoever needs to be paid off and get on with his life. All that he had to do now was to wait and enjoy the show while reading on how much more he got rich while drinking this thousand-dollar bottle of whiskey, paid off of course by those he had tricked in the last month selling worthless shares.
The hours passed by as the night came in, the wisps of snow began to fall and the faint orange glow from the streetlights came into the house and still there was nothing at all going on with the mouse that evening. As the clock struck midnight, the cat yawned, placed the glass down and then headed off to bed, there was still work to do tomorrow, more money to be made and more people to ruin as their Christmas plans burned to ash. The cat walked up the stairs as Jose felt the wooden polished handrail, the sound of his footsteps creaked on the old wooden planks and the cat looked about the massive hallway that sprawled out below him. The house was too big for a single person to live in, but the male enjoyed it as the lights turned off down below as he flicked the switch and walked off down the corridor to his own bedroom. Only the orange glow of the streetlights filled part of the hall as it filtered through the various glass panes. As Jose turned on the lights in his room, the cat slowly undressed and slipped into his large bed, then smiled as he snuggled down into the soft silk sheets, the feline started to feel warm, then he heard loud bangs from down below and he grinned even wider. That was another problem dealt with and just before the holidays as well, life was good afterall. Slowly, Jose fell asleep as he purred loudly.
Down below, Sam knelt on the board, the male mouse held the head of the older female mouse, all that was left was a few body parts as he sobbed, the loss of his mother as the rodent looked to where the guns were still smoking, soon after firing and then his ears turned about as the male mouse heard the purring that came from the main bedroom. Slowly, he lowered the head down onto the wooden floorboard and then stood up. Sam knew the cat wanted him out, but he was here first before that cat bought the house and now, after wining so many court cases, the feline had resorted to stepping up the game. With clenched fists, Sam growled as his two sets of teeth rubbed against each other. This wasn't a game, it was about time that feline upstairs found out, the rodent turned around as his tail flicked in the air and the male mouse stormed back into the wall.
Sam rummaged about as the mouse searched high and low for something, the male mouse was on a mission now, his heart set out for revenge as the mouse found what he was searching for and held the small bottle in his hand. With a deep breath he looked about the old home and then started to move about it as he touched the various things that were once his, the mouse walked about as he cried, the tears ran down his face as the memories flooded back to where he was brought up, the way his mother had made the place so homely for so many years. Eventually he came to the hole in the wall, and he placed his hand paw onto it and then looked back. With a sigh, Sam slowly walked out into the main room. It was huge as he looked about, the furniture was giant to the size he was now, and he came to a stop in the middle of the room and looked down at the bottle held in his hand. Sam twisted the top, dropped the cap onto the floor and then swigged the entire contents down into his stomach, then he dropped the bottle as it smashed, and the male mouse fell to his knees. The mouse then gripped his stomach as he felt the concoction begin to work as the mouse started to grow, the sound of new bone forming made the male mouse cry out in pain as he slowly grew bigger and bigger, then the mouse started to change as he growled loudly, eventually the mouse had grown to full size and then he stood there, sharp teeth glistened in the orange light, the long sharp claws and the male mouse remembered deep down what had happened and then he ran.
The cat upstairs had woken up and could hear the loud footsteps that was coming up the stairs, Jose reached to get hold of a phone on the side table but the bedroom door had smashed open and there stood the large weremouse who with the deep red eyes, looked at the male cat and then jumped towards the bed as the cat cried out as the huge heavy form landed on top of him, then the mouse started to snap at his face as the cat had desperately grabbed hold of the neck and pushed as hard as he could, the whole weight of the mouse though was still pressing down as Jose looked at the hatred within the eyes and the cat realised who it was, then the cat thought who had he killed instead with his trap, then the sharp teeth of the mouse tore his right ear off and he cried out as the mouse growled, then got off the bed before it ripped the entire sheets off as Jose was up and running from outside the bedroom. The mouse went immediately after the cat as the bedroom door slammed against the wall as the two forms ran down the corridor, one filled with rage, the other with fear.
With a swipe of his hand, Sam slashed the cat across the back who cried out in pain, toppled over and fell down the stairs as the feline rolled downwards as various bones broke, the loud snaps could be heard as Jose continued to cry out as he landed onto the main marbled floor of the hallway and groaned as the large weremouse slowly made his way down the steps to the stricken male cat. Jose looked out in horror as the male mouse came right up to him and then knelt down as the sharp claws sliced the bed clothing from the male cat until he was naked, the mouse snarled as his large snout pressed up against the nose of the cat, the tongue came out and the entire face was licked as the feline felt himself shaking, still moaning from the pain as the large rodent pulled back and then tore at his belly, the sharp claws slicing through as the male cat yelled in pain, as the blood squirted out, the mouse began to tear chunks from inside as the rodent started to eat the cat alive. Jose saw the various bits of flesh being chewed, bits that fell back out of the large snout as the mouse continued to eat and chew, the large rodent hands gripped and tore the ribcage apart as Jose gagged and choked, now unable to breathe as the organs were torn apart. Only the faint mist of red that had started to fill the sight of the feline as the large weremouse was seen eating the various organs, then Jose died as the large rodent, fully bloodied was busy eating the cat, meat and bone alike as the sickening sound of flesh was being consumed.
Sam woke up the next morning as he laid there on the marbled floor, still the same size as when he grew but the weremouse within him had gone, the male rodent sat up as he looked at his bloodied naked form and his hand went up to the side of his head and the male groaned. Slowly the male mouse pushed himself up as he stood in what was left of the feline's blood and he felt the sticky mess between his toes, then with each step, the mouse went up the stairs as he left the bloodied footprints in his wake, the sun shone through the various windows, and he made his way to the nearest bathroom that there was. Since the house was huge and had many bathrooms, this was an easy task as the rodent moved into one of the showers and then slowly turned on the water as he washed himself, the mouse felt his flat stomach, then the rest of his body as he washed the blood and gore from his fur until he was cleaned. Later in the day, after the male rodent had cleaned up the mess in the hallway, he stood there in the garden, dressed in the finest clothes as he held a small box in his large hand paws and knelt in the snow, the small hole was dug out as he slowly lowered the box into the ground and then he wiped his eyes as he muttered. "Bye mum." Slowly, the mouse covered the box with the soil as he buried his last remaining relative and looked at the small gravestone and placed his hand on top of it gently. "He'll never hurt another person again, I'll make sure of that." The mouse got up and left.
Over the holiday season, the mouse gave a fair amount of money away, especially to those that had been conned by the feline and as for the workers who had to suffer from the nasty boss, the mouse smiled and offered them a bonus as he slowly informed them that he was now in charge and that things would be different. To those that suffered the most, Sam smiled and offered them a place at his table for Christmas dinner, it felt right that the amount of food the cat had in his stores, should be used for a better purpose and what better than to feed those that had suffered by the feline in the past. The mouse paid handsomely for some to work in cooking the meal as the whole house was cleaned top to bottom, kitted out with the best decorations and various vans came to unload the presents. By the time everything was set, the mouse sat in the same chair, everything about the feline was removed, thrown into the trash as the mouse swirled the whiskey about in the glass and took a sip. Tomorrow was Christmas Day and he had to host, Sam looked forward to it, just as his mother had taught him.
