The hanger doors open, revealing the space battle taking place above Earth as both fleets have taken damage, I can see the International Space Station which has been reduced to a wreck, black and burning orange spots dot the planets surface meaning the Venom's have hit the surface.

Fox says "Okay, here's the plan everyone. Half of us will remain in orbit and support the fleet while the other half heads down to aid the human defense and evac. Adam, Krystal, Miyu, Falco and Katt, the five of you are heading down while the rest of us stay up here."

I say "Do we know the situation?"

Slippy says "So far the scout fleet has fallen back due to losses, the main fleet has managed to divide the enemy fleet to some degree as well as destroying any siege craft this being said the siege craft did cause significant damage before being destroyed. Numerous venom forces have made it onto the planet which are exchanging blows with human forces and our forces deployed."

I say "Casualties?"

Lucy says "So far we've taken somewhat moderate losses, close to a third of the enemy fleet is lost, but human losses are at a high rate and so far are at 1.7 billion."

I feel a tight grip taking my heart, I look to Earth and I say "To... WAR!" as I gun it, the wolfen roars as it leaves the hanger.

Krystal, Miyu, Falco and Katt form up on me as fast as they can, in bursts of quick laser fire we rip through a small layer of venom fighters and begin re-entry, eventually we make it through to see New York city... or rather what's left of it. I remember coming here near the end of my senior year in high school for a car show, that was back in 2012 now for Earth it's the beginning of 2014 and now it must be like armageddon for those who don't know what's happening. My heart drops as I see the Statue of Liberty, her stand ablaze in hellfire, a hole has been blown through the torso, the arm holding the book has been blown off, smoke and fire is escaping the crown with the torch consumed with smoke.

A tear leaves my right eye as I look to the burning city and I say "They've wrecked it, New York city is trashed!"

Falco says "Looks like the soldiers here are holding their own."

I say "Not for long." seeing a venom strike force coming in.

Miyu says "Orders bro?"

I say "Dive through them, they'll panic and then shoot them down!"

Katt says "Let's bring the pain!"

Krystal says "Hit them hard and don't hold back!"

I yell "GIVE ME VICTORY OR GIVE ME DEATH!!!" and hit the booster as hard as I can.

The five of us plow through the enemy formation which sends them into disarray, my twin-lasers begin to rip them to shreds, the venom fighters falling to our weapons, I switch my sub-channel on, I can hear the U.S. service men cheering, I feel a smile cross my face.

Krystal says "Not that I'm complaining but why are they cheering?"

I say "We humans have an old saying...", I shoot down an enemy fighter and I say "We're angels on their shoulders!"

Explosions come from the ground, venom light tanks, heavy tanks, both types of assault mechs and infantry, an abrams tank fires at a heavy assault mech not really doing any damage to it, the mech fires one of it's beam weapons which obliterates the tank.

I say "Miyu, you and I will deal with the ground forces, everyone else mop up the remaining air forces!"

Miyu says "Beginning strafing run!"

Miyu and I begin to hit the ground forces with the air force trying to help us but venom air reinforcements swarm in destroying the F-15's and A-10's trying to help us out.

I quickly link a sub-comm to their frequency and I say "Attention U.S. Forces, fall back to a safe location! Evac craft will arrive soon!"

I hear "Negative, we're boxed in! We need a path!"

I say "Copy that.", I contact Rob and I say "Rob, do we have anything that can clear the way for a force of ground troops to evac?"

Rob says "Affirmative, narrow spread clusterbomb armed an ready."

I say "Sending fire coordinates, fire when ready!" as I send Rob the target location.

A missile can be seen coming from orbit, it splits up, which sends out a swarm of munitions which crash into the enemy forces which clears a path to an evac cornerian craft which is a transport craft. I smile but a loud crash catches my attention, a hit ac-130 gunship comes crashing through the New Yorker building before heading to the ground and explodes.

I hintly growl and I think 'I hope things are going better on Fox's end.'

Fox's point of view...

My arwing effortlessly moves between every ship before destroying a fighter or damaging a ship, with the four others supporting the Cornerian fleet in this battle. According to our tactical feeds almost half if the enemy fleet are carriers with three of them being Grazer-class and according to our tactical officers they haven't launched anything which is strange.

Fay says "We're kicking their butts up here!"

Lucy says "Somethings not right, I get the feeling they're stalling us."

I say "Yeah, your right, somethings up."

Slippy says "Everyone I've just detected a massive energy spike from the Grazen's!"

I say "From what part of em Slip?" thinking they maybe trying to jump.

Slippy says "It's coming from their hangers Fox."

I say "Their hangers?" in shock.

Amanda says "They aren't carrying fighters at all! The energy is very unstable and if these are to detonate it would yield 1,000,000 megatons of nuclear force!"

I say "Are you serious?!" just stunned.

Amanda says "To make matters worse the target locations will send radiation and fire storms all around the globe!"

I say "Where are they going to hit?"

Slippy says "One is heading to Chengdu in China, the second is going towards Dongou on the plane known as Africa and the last target is Lebanon, KS in the United States."

Lucy says "We need to stop those launches!"

I glance towards one of the carriers, it's twin-hull heading towards Earth and I say "I don't think their launching anything, I think they're going to crash and detonate!"

Slippy says "Not only that, but I had Rob analyze those ships there are no life signs on them, their drones!"

I say "Everyone move to intercept!"

We begin to head towards one of the carriers but the ships protecting it quickly move and fire upon us, forming a blockade against us.

Fay says "We won't be able to reach them in time!"

Amanda says "Fay's right, time to impact is ten minutes!"

I say "I'm contacting the others, they need to fall back!"

My point of view...

A heavy enemy fighter crashes onto the city streets thanks to my twin-lasers, a nearby transport takes to the air as a few more in the distance also take off.

Katt says "That's a few more."

I say "Keep it up everyone." with a smile, I see Fox contacting me and I say "Fox, what is it?"

Fox says "Adam, the three Grazen-class carriers are coming down onto the planet! They're acting as extremely powerful unmanned nuclear-suicide drones, everyone needs to pull out now! We can't stop them and... Earth will die!" looking saddened.

I feel time seem to stop, I glance out to see people running for their lives, I can feel my heart wince as I realize now there's nothing more we can do, I look to Fox and I say "Affirmative, retreating now!"

Fox ends his transmission, I give the retreat order to my squadron and to all evac craft, we soon leave Earth's atmosphere, one of the twin-hulls begins to enter Earth's atmosphere, we make it to a safe distance when an explosion takes place as the North American plane becomes engulfed in fire with two more being visible as fire takes the planet.

Falco says "There's no way anything can survive that!"

Krystal says "This is awful, all those people down there."

I look to the remaining enemy forces, I feel consumed with rage as I feel my body twitch and my heart race with adrenaline, I open a comm to all allied units and I say "Slaughter them! FOR EARTH!" heading towards the enemy fleet as fast as my wolfen can go.

The enemy fleet begins to open fire on me, I launch a bomb which smashes into a cruiser and detonating, I roll to the left with my twin-lasers firing as they return fire. The cornerian forces and the others of Star Fox come to help me. I begin to ready to deactivate the limiter on fighter, I know what may happen if I do but it's time to see what this machine can do.

Krystal says "Adam, we don't know how that machine will act without the set limitations that have been set, it's too dangerous!"

I say "I know... but none of these guys are getting away!" and I remove the limiters.

A loud hum sounds, I hit the boost which makes the wolfen II spring with such force I become pushed hard into my seat, I open fire with my lasers which are now blue rather then green as they tear into the enemy forces, I can feel a strain on my body though as I feel it being pushed down on by great force, one of the enemy ships catches me off guard, it's massive energy cannon hit me dead on but my fighters shield stops it with no issue.

I think 'This thing is amazing... but being crushed by these g-forces isn't!" as I release the boost.

In the course of about two hours we destroy what's left of the enemy force, sadly a few transports were destroyed, we all head back to the ship with the beginning to head back to Corneria. I find myself in my room looking over the data... I am now part of an endangered species s we were only able to get about 1.5 million people out.

I think 'We weren't fast enough. Earth is dead and now mandkind is going to have to rebuild all over again.', I turn off the monitor, I lay on my bed as my body aches thanks to the g-forces earlier, my mind breaking down as I begin to cry, the doorbell chimes, I try to pull myself together, I go to the door, answer it to see Fox, Krystal and Miyu and I say "Hi guys." trying to smile... but I fail at it.

Krystal quickly embraces me and she says "We came to see how you were doing hon."

Miyu says "Do you need anything bro?" as she puts her hand on my back.

Fox says "We got worried when we saw you just run for your room."

I sigh, I gently break my girlfriends embrace, I say "It's just, processing everything that's happened has been hard to say the least. Out of the human population we only saved 1.5 million, I'm grateful for everyone who tried their best but now Earth is gone and now we humans are nomads. I am happy though we did manage to save what we did." and a yawn escapes my mouth.

Krystal says "You should get some rest."

I shake my head and I say "I've tried, I can't sleep."

Krystal says "Would it help if we stayed with you for the night?"

Miyu says "I'm all for that." wih a faint smile.

Fox says "It sounds like a good idea, but pepper needs my report still."

Krystal says "Don't worry Fox, we'll keep an eye on him." with a light smile.

Fox nods, he looks to me and he says "I'm sorry, I want to be here to help you."

I weakly smile, I hug him and I say "I understand Fox, I know how busy you can get."

I break the hug to see a surprised Fox, a smile takes his lips and he says "Now get some rest trooper."

Fox leaves, Krystal, Miyu and I get into my bed, the two ladies taking both of my sides, both of them soothing me as I finally begin to calm down.

Krystal kisses my lips and she says "Love you hon, get some rest." with a warm smile.

Miyu kisses my cheek and she says "We're right here if you need anything."

I say "Thank you for doing this.", I kiss Krystal and I go to sleep.

Fox's point of view...

I'm filing my report to Pepper, or at least trying to. My mind keeps going back to how we failed, we weren't able to save much of Adam's race, now their being thrown into space in a shaken state, my mind goes back to Adam hugging me, I feel shocked but at the same time it feels kind of nice and I think 'I guess he does think of me as a brother.'
