After catching the last remaining Pokemon from Kanto minus the legendary Pokemon I decided to take a break not for myself but for my Pokemon. They had been working exceptionally hard and had been needing a break from battling and catching. Though I doubt very much that they would acknowledge that. Still I kept my plans a secret from the team it would be a surprise for them when I returned home and the entire day would be spent on relaxing. They could all meet my mother, mainly those who hadn't yet met her.

I grabbed Pidgeot's Pokeball and brought him out, "Pidgeot could you fly me to Viridian City please?" Pidgeot fluffed his feathers nodding his head. I climbed aboard slowly and Pidgeot took off. Before I even had time to admire the sky I realised we had already arrived at Viridian City. "Thanks Pidgeot, take a rest." Pidgeot huffed believing he hadn't done enough to earn a rest but still he took a short break for me. Walking through Viridian City, I was soon approached my the townspeople who were surprised and happy to see I had returned from my journey.

"Welcome back!" I was surprised to hear that coming from the owner of the Pokemart I was surprised he had even remembered me. Then again he and my mother did speak from time to time. My mother making her own purchases for her own Pikachu. Walking through the town I eventually reached a familiar home and knocked on the door ready to surprise my mother. Hopefully it wouldn't give her too much of a fright. I could hear footsteps approaching the door as she rushed on over. The door opened and I was immediately embraced by my mother tears streaming down her face.

"Mum, I haven't been gone that long and I realise I haven't called in such a long time, but I wanted to surprise you." I tried to calm her down so she would stop crying and it seemed to work. "Leo, I'm just so happy to see you again, it feels like forever since you were home. Come in and tell me everything that's happened on your journey." I stepped inside breathing in the familiar scent of home before I sat down on the sofa. I briefly told my mother about all the people I'd met, briefly speaking about two trainers Ash and Goh. Mother knew of Ash from his television matches on how he had entered the World Coronation Series.

I then spoke about each and every one of my gym battles, which at first surprised my mother. "In the beginning I thought your goal was to complete the Pokedex? I was surprised when you challenged the gyms." I agreed smiling as I remembered all the gyms I had challenged. "It wasn't for me." I replied before elaborating, "I kept catching more and more Pokemon and each of them had different wonderful personalities and characteristics. Some enjoyed my attention and some enjoyed battling. I chose to battle gyms and trainers to keep my Pokemon happy doing something they enjoyed. It was also to keep a strong bond between me and my Pokemon."

My mother smiled proud of me putting my Pokemon before even my own needs. It showed her that I had grown up and grown more mature. "Would you like to meet all the Pokemon I've caught?" I'd asked my mum excited and she agreed. "We'll need to go outside, our garden is large enough for all of my Pokemon and some of them are larger than the house itself." I said speaking mainly about Onix and Gyarados. Speaking of the Water Pokemon we actually had a large lake that connected to a small stream. We truly had a garden which was large enough to hold every Pokemon I'd caught.

"I thought you couldn't carry more than six Pokemon at a time?" Mum asked me curiously and she was right. "On the road and against trainers in tournaments yes, but when not battling there are no limits and as such I can bring out each and every one of my Pokemon." Mum understood and we headed outside where I grabbed my Rotom Phone and looked at the box where I ordinarily would switch Pokemon in and out of my party. Instead of that I simply released them all in the garden and was surprised at seeing so many Pokemon appear all at once.

It seems my Pokemon weren't expecting that either and as such they all charged at me stampeding together. When they struck me it wasn't a massive hit, but my mother was slightly concerned. Eventually I managed to push out of the group and introduced everyone to my mother. "Guys, this is my mother please greet her warmly." At that Blastoise approached my mother. My mother was surprised seeing the much bigger and stronger looking Pokemon that used to be a Squirtle. "You've grown big and strong haven't you. I remember when you were a Squirtle and were so cute hiding behind Leo. Look at you now, Leo must have raised you and everyone with love." Blastoise agreed and everyone else cheered all the same.

Since lunch time was rolling around I began grabbing the Pokemon food and began preparing to feed each and everyone of my Pokemon, my mother had offered to help but as these Pokemon were caught by me, they were my responsibility to take care of and that's what I would do. Besides, my Pokemon refused to allow me to do the task alone. Blastoise, Venusaur, Charizard each grabbed bowls and helped me distribute the food around to everyone. Snorlax was quick to gobble his food down before bringing me his bowl asking presumably for more. "Alright, since I know you have a healthy appetite." Snorlax cheered when I gave him more food which he happily scoffed down.

Eventually every Pokemon was enjoying their food in comfortable silence and I observed everyone of my catches with happiness. I remembered some of my very first Pokemon, Pidgeot, Raticate, Victreebel and Vileplume. Seeing them now fully evolved was just so wonderful. When they finished their food I decided to go and give every single one of them a relaxing brush as thanks for everything they had done. My Pokemon didn't want me to go through all the effort by I was insistent and very stubborn and would not allow them to refuse.

As such they agreed and I began caring for the Pokemon in no specific order, Blastoise, naturally was first and I began by making his shell shine softly, looking healthy as well. Blastoise looked to be in pristine condition. Venusaur was a Pokemon which didn't demand much, using the sun and photosynthesis was how Venusaur catered to his own health. But still a grooming helped maintain his large blooming flower. The scent was just relaxing and calming too. Charizard may have looked more domineering and vicious in battle, but alone with me he let his guard down. He accepted the grooming but glared and roared at any who dared laugh at him showing his soft centred side.

Butterfree and Beedrill were my first Bug Types and they had been through so much with me and had grown so powerful too. Butterfree and Beedrill couldn't really be brushed per say. However, a pet on the head was plenty for them. Pidgeot loved when I brushed his feathers it felt wonderful especially when I touched feathers he couldn't quite reach himself. Raticate I realised I hadn't been doing much battling with and felt bad, immediately apologising but Raticate smiled. Seemed he wasn't bothered or perhaps didn't mind. Still my way of repaying him was giving him as much attention as he could ever dream off.

Fearow, was much the same as Pidgeot I brushed his feathers and maintained their appearance much to his happiness and appreciation. Fearow almost fell asleep when giving this much attention but quickly awoke when he heard Pidgeot laughing at his position around Leo. Fearow glared before thanking me for the attention before flying off to go and give Pidgeot a piece of his mind. Arbok eagerly slithered over to receive a brushing something he adored more than he would let on. At the end of brushing and polishing Arbok grabbed me and wrapped me up in a powerful hug as his way of thanking me. Only releasing me when he wanted.

Raichu had actually been speaking with my mothers Pikachu but eagerly hopped into my lap and enjoyed a brushing, I was careful around his cheecks and tail knowing if I applied to much force Raichu may accidentally shock me. Raichu only ever let a few teasing shocks before running back to speak with Pikachu. Sandslash enjoyed more of a polishing than brushing and I was careful since Sandslash didn't much like water though polish was different and healthy for him so he didn't mind. Once done, Sandslash clicked his claws together and thanked me before digging into the ground and enjoying the sensation of the dirt in our garden.

Nidoqueen and Nidoking were next and approached together, not surprising as they both enjoyed each others company and battled well together. When it came to polishing them, Nidoking and Nidoqueen respectively would lift me up so I could reach. I thanked them and they thanked me in turn. They left together and next was Clefable, Clefable enjoyed a brushing to help maintain his fur more than anything. He liked maintaining his appearance so the brushing was much appreciated. Ninetales was much like Clefable. Ninetales liked to maintain his appearance and even in his own time, when we travelled around Kanto. I'd see Ninetales thoroughly cleaning his tails and body. Ninetales much enjoyed me giving him a thorough cleaning though.

Wigglytuff was already a Pokemon who loved cleanliness but after battles he did get slightly dirty, something he wasn't so happy about. I always helped maintain his appearance and health outside of battles. So a brushing wasn't much of a difference to Clefable, not that he wasn't appreciative. Crobat, was always happy to see me, after all he evolved thanks to having a strong bond of friendships between us. Crobat eagerly accepted the attention he received, though he would of preferred receiving this attention at night time not that he didn't enjoy the attention.

Vileplume and Bellossom were much like Venusaur, they got pretty much everything they needed through photosynthesis however, simple attention was much loved and they truly loved Leo for everything he did for them. Parasect, was shy around the others, confident in battle, but lonesome too. I tried to include Parasect in different things and it seemed to help. In turn Parasect loved me unconditionally and would do anything to ensure I would remain safe. Venomoth too was a Pokemon I believed hadn't had nearly enough attention, but when I went to apologise Venomoth shook his head. Leo had catered to him and as such done everything he could to keep every one of his Pokemon healthy.

Dugtrio, eagerly dug through to be the next to receive some polishing, the tops of their heads were the main thing I could offer but they didn't mind accepting the attention happily. Persian acted much like your ordinary household cat, laying down in my lap demanding a brushing which I gladly gave him, he much enjoyed the brushing and eventually decided to allow me to continue with the other Pokemon. Golduck was next and I brushed him softly, Golduck enjoyed the attention eagerly moving my arm wherever he desired. I laughed and continued for him before he released me and the next Pokemon stood up.

Primeape, pumped his fists in front of me, not hitting me, but he didn't want attention, he wanted to battle and fight. "Primeape, this is a day of relaxation for you, you've done so much for me, let me take care of you." Primeape seemed disappointed but calmed down and accepted the brushing trying to appear as it he was reluctantly accepting the attention, but realistically everyone knew he was adoring the attention. Arcanine, was larger than he looked, not in an unhealthy way, it just meant brushing him would take longer than anticipated. Arcanine decided to help brush his trainer, by licking his hair and face everywhere he could. This was much to his trainers slight annoyance and happiness too.

Poliwrath clambered on over and accepted the brushing but also some rubbing too. Poliwrath was a strong fighting type and appreciate help with removing knots in his muscles, something I was more than happy to do. Alakazam was a wise Pokemon and knew the reasons that I wanted to give them attention and it wasn't because I was planning on heading to Johto which would leave most of them here alone. No it was because he wanted his Pokemon to feel loved and a sense of belonging. Alakazam telepathically reassured his master that no matter where he went the Pokemon would always wait for him. Still Alakazam accepted the brushing with happiness. Machamp was much more eager than his fighting predecessors, he eagerly lifted me up allowing me to help him get the knots out of his impressive muscles. It took a while but Machamp was feeling much healthier and happier before eventually releasing me.

Victreebel, in his excitement at receiving attention from his beloved trainer, grabbed him in a strange hug and almost swallowed him hole, though he never would hurt his trainer. Victreebel appreciated the attention his received as the brushing did help him relax from all the tough and fun battles he had been in. Heading over to the lake, Tentacruel awaited his turn and I stepped over carefully trying to avoid getting soaking wet. Thankfully Tentacruel wasn't much of a cheeky prankster Pokemon, he accepted the head pats and brushing with a wide smile.

Golem rolled on over stopping right before rolling into me, his position rolled up allowed me to give him a easy polishing which helped his rocky body appear shiny and healthy something he hugged me for before rolling off to go and show the others what his beloved trainer had done for him. Rapidash galloped on over to me before lowering his head to me, this allowed me to grab my brush and dance it across his mane gently. He obviously enjoyed the brush before pushing me along asking me to continue. I laughed continuing until he allowed me to stop. Slowbro, was confused at what was happening, but a little after I brushed him, he smiled and thanked me though I had already stopped. Still as long as he was happy I was happy too.

Magneton couldn't be brushed since he had a steel body but he could be flossed which would help his metallic body shine with lustre. Something Magneton was very happy about. Farfetch'd approached with his leek in hand, I catered mostly to Farfetch'd but I also ensured his leek was healthy as Farfetch'd treasure their leeks more than anything. Farfetch'd thanked me for taking such good care of his leek as well as his own health.

Dodrio rushed forward almost barrelling into me, three heads squawking eagerly for attention. I began brushing the three heads in a fair manor trying to placate them whenever they began arguing which happened often. Miraculously the three heads seemed to be in harmony through the session. Heading over to the lake, I called for Dewgong and he swam on over, he seemed to be enjoying our stream and eagerly accepted a petting session. Dewgong enjoyed the session and thanked me profusely happy at having such a lovely trainer.

Muk was nervous about approaching wondering what a safe way for him to receive attention would be. After all the sludge on his body was dangerous for humans and even other Pokemon to touch. However, I wore safety gloves and still gave him a thorough petting with some safe lotion as well. Muk was extremely happy to receive attention even though he was a Poison Type. Cloyster was next and I gave proper attention to his shell ensuring that his shell was in good condition for his own health. Seemed as though he already was taking excellent care of his shell, but enjoyed receiving some help from his beloved trainer.

Before I could even ponder who was next, Gengar appeared in front of me, trying to startle me, however, he was unsuccessful as through our journey together I was beginning to understand his tricks and knew what to expect. I cheered him up though with a few head pats which he was happy to receive. Onix was by far the largest Pokemon and I had wondered at first how I was going to be able to polish the entirety of his body. Onix had tried to convince me that I didn't have to cater to him completely but I gave him a look that said. 'I will be polishing the entirety of your body no matter how long it takes.' Onix sighed but smiled knowing his trainer was kind hearted. It took quite some time and with some help from Machamp and Onix they helped me reach Onix's entire body. When the polishing session was completed Onix grabbed me gently and deposited me on the ground before quickly giving me a hug which was tighter than Arbok's by far.

Hypno was next and I first ensure his pendulum was looking clean and gave it a quick polish much to Hypno's thanks and amusement as he remembered when his trainer first evolved him from a Drowzee. Hypno remembered how concerned his beloved trainer was that he was going to hypnotise him. Hypno still laughed at that to this day, Hypno still enjoyed the brushing though and thanked his trainer before heading on his way. Kingler was next and I first gave him a polish taking especially good care of his large pincer knowing it was Kingler's greatest asset.

Electrode rolled on over much like Golem had done before him, I grabbed my lotion and began gently covering Electrode something that he was enjoying if the sparks he was letting of had anything to go by. Eventually Electrode rolled off into the distance chatting with Magneton about how lovely Electrode looked thanks to his trainer. Exeggutor may have been one of my newer Pokemon and we may not have battled as much but I still took care of him. Since Exeggutor was a Grass Type he got most nutrition through photosynthesis however a brushing was still something he was more than happy to receive.

Marowak stalked forward before he gave me his bone before anything else. I knew that Marowak giving me his bone meant he trusted me with it as he treasured that bone more than anything. Well he'd never admit that he loved his trainer more than his bone. I quickly gave the bone a through polishing before further ensuring that Marowak himself received a thorough polishing. Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan approached at the same time. The two had been training together and had already worked up a sweat. I grabbed a cloth and helped cool the two rivals and friends down. I ensured that Hitmonlee's legs and feet were in pristine condition something that Hitmonlee was most thankful for and with Hitmonchan I made sure that his gloves were also in good condition. The two thanked me with Hitmonchan giving me a gentle fist bump and Hitmonlee a gentle kick before the two moved on.

Lickilicky was next and was by far my newest Pokemon but still I knew that Lickilicky enjoyed my company if our battles had been anything to go by. After the brushing session, Lickilicky gave me a through licking before releasing me. Weezing floated over and was in a similar situation to Muk but when I showed him the safety precautions I had taken Weezing was happy to receive some attention. Rhydon's heavy footsteps approached as he stood in front of me. Rhydon then lowered his head right to me and I understood that he wanted me to start with his horn. I was extremely delicate with handling his horn and ensuring it was in good condition much to his appreciation before I gave his entire body a thorough polishing.

Chansey walked on over happy at the attention that every Pokemon had been receiving and didn't want much. Still a brushing was a welcome sight before she approached Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan making sure the two Fighting Types took their training easy before one of them ended up injured. Tangrowth I had believed would be difficult since he was a Grass Type and his body was literally covered in vines but still I gave him some pets and he seemed happy enough. I was just disappointed I hadn't given him as much as I would of wanted.

Kangaskhan approached next, smiling at me, before her kid exited her pouch before clambering over to me. Kangaskhan truly trusted me greatly if she was allowing me to play with her own kid. The kid appreciated the attention before he quickly returned to his mother. Kangaskhan herself though was happy at the brushing and helped me when I was too short to reach higher up. Over in the lake it was Seadra's turn and he happily greeted me by blowing bubbles in my face which I swatted away playfully. I gave him a quick wash over and ensure that he was in a good healthy condition before he swam away happily.

Next was Seaking and like with Rhydon wanted me to care for his horn first and I ensured it was in pristine condition before quickly giving him a wash over and making sure he was happy and healthy too. Starmie was next and I first glanced at it's gem ensuring that it hadn't been damaged or scratched. Once done, I gave the gem a polish much to Starmie's appreciation before it spun away happily to go and see Seaking. Mr. Mime was more than happy with the attention he received but he sure wanted to make it more of a pantomime with pretending to use his barriers in a pretend performance.

Scyther flew over to me, cutting through the air, in a way of getting my attention hoping he and I could train together. I quickly reassured him we would get stronger together but right now, today was a day for relaxing and me paying them all back. Scyther understood and allowed me to ensure that his wings were in pristine condition and ensuring that his scythes were sharp. Electabuzz and Magmar approached together and I noticed that the two had been getting along well together much to my happiness. The two Pokemon received a brushing and I was especially careful with the flames around Magmar.

Pinsir was up next and approached with enthusiasm happy to receive some one on one attention even though the session was usually over very quickly. Even though I tried to extend the time I spent with each and every Pokemon. Pinsir enjoyed the attention I gave his horns before he shuffled away to go and speak with Scyther. Tauros almost barrelled into me when he realised his turn was next and I first brushed his fur ensuring that it was in pristine condition before further ensuring his hooves were healthy since he had been running all over the region with me. When I deemed them healthy I moved on to his horns much like I had with Pinsir before him.

In the lake Gyarados roared to get my attention and I approached the giant Pokemon smiling armed with my brush. Gyarados leaned down to grab me by my hood before releasing me on his head. From there I gave him a brushing over his entire body and it seemed to relax and calm Gyarados down. Gyarados dropped me down and I landed on Lapras' shell. Lapras cooed at me asking if I was okay and I smiled answering I was. At that I began polishing Lapras' shell ensuring that it was nice and healthy before rubbing Lapras' head gently before he deposited me on dry land.

Ditto was small and easy to give a thorough cleaning, though he did try and transform into other Pokemon as that was his way of showing his mischievousness. Still he settled down and enjoyed the brushing much to my amusement. Soon I was struck by several Pokemon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon and Sylveon who were all together for their attention. They settled down and enjoyed the brushing they received eventually they released me and ran off together to go and play with one another.

Porygon floated over amusement seemed to be apparent on his face as he had watched me get smothered by the Eeveelutions. I quickly began flossing down Porygon since he was an artificial Pokemon and was different even to the Steel Types. Omastar, Kabutops and Aerodactyl ambled over to me, curiosity shining in their eyes. It made sense, being fossil Pokemon they'd never before experience this sort of kindness from humans or anybody before. As such I was slow and careful when polishing them and they seemed to enjoy the sensation thoroughly.

Snorlax was asleep when I approached him, but when I got close enough he awoke. He couldn't stay awake through the entirety of the brushing but he did try and remain awake. I just petted him when he did fall asleep before observing him smiling. I was shocked when orange arms appeared around my waist and when I turned around I saw Dragonite smiling cutely. He was waiting patiently for his turn and his patience was about to be rewarded. Dragonite was one who enjoyed head pats and brushing very much.

After spending so much time with all the Pokemon, I was beginning to feel drowsy and yawned lightly. This didn't go unnoticed as Dragonite noticed before gently picking me up before realising he couldn't carry me inside and too bed. Dragonite called over and Blastoise appeared. Dragonite asked Blastoise whether he could carry their beloved trainer to bed as it seemed he was exhausted from giving us so much welcome attention. Blastoise agreed and so Dragonite deposited Leo in Blastoise's hands and Blastoise ambled his way silently up the stairs before reaching his trainers room.

Blastoise smiled as he looked around, it had been some time since he had been in here, he quickly lowered Leo in his bed before covering him with his blanket before he too headed to bed happy to have spent such a lovely day with his trainer, something every Pokemon shared.
