Cur County - Lore Bits & General Info
#2 of Cur County
Cur County is ruled by the dogs. No humans, no laws, no limits. After a nuclear disaster almost eighty years ago, humans were forced off the island and it was left to be reclaimd by mother nature. Over time the land grew lush and the anima populations exploded, but none saw more success than the dogs of Cur County, pets and working animals that were left behind all those years ago, now feral canines who rule the island with claw and fang.
Cur County is casual-reader friendly (with many one-shot sex scenes if your just popping in for some spicey reading), but also offers a main storyline which more invested readers are welcome to follow along with. Major themes will include; rape, knotting, impregnation, angst, politics, romance, toxic relationships, and age-play.
A/N: On this page you'll be able to find blurbs and bits of information regarding the stories lore, characters, and general information regarding the series. Cur County is my first attempt at an on-going work and I would really appreciate any feedback you guys have for me. Anyways, without any father delay, onto the world-building!
GENERAL INFO
This is info that is useful to know when first going into the story, but isnt 100% necessary to have.
Cur County (as its known by the dogs), is a massive man made island off the east coast of the USA. It is roughly the size of florida and experiences a similar climate.
Cur County has no Human residents due to a disaster at the island's nuclear plant, resulting in a chernobyl situation. Our story takes place eighty years later, with the land teeming with life despite the radioactive levels.
Due to many pets being left behind, dogs are one of the biggest animal populations on the isle.
While the majority of the story will have a realistic feel to it, one fantasy-like element that is in play is that the radio-active levels have resulted in increased intelligence among the canine/feline populations. Nobody knows why and it remains mainly unknown by the humans since interaction is limited between them and the animals, but the dogs and cats of Cur County are sentient and have been able to pass down knowledge to newer generations. Therefore, most dogs and cats living on the island are able to recognize and name many of the human things around them, like cars, houses, fences, roads, knives, etc. This element is in play only because I don't want to have to come up with 'animal names' for those types of things. Call me lazy, but it's a creative decision I've decided to go with that may work farther into the plot later. For now it's just a device to make thigns easier for me as the writer.
CANINE SLANG
These are terms that are commonly said by dogs and will be seen frequently throughout the series.
Pack - a term used to describe a group of dogs that control a specific portion of land. These groups can range greatly in size, typically hosting anywhere from 6-30 dogs, though larger groups have been known to form. You can think of them as human gangs- they form for various reasons and work as an organized unit to control a chunk of territory.
Strays - a term used to describe solitary dogs or family groups that don't belong to a pack and simply live in the area. they can be considered your every day citizens or criminals all going about their own business.
Bitch - a term used to describe any dog of breeding age who can produce pups- includes females and chimeras
Chimera - a canine moniker given to intersex dogs. One prominent side-effect of the radiation seems to be dogs being born with both sets of genitals. While these dogs are typically masculine in appearance and have a sheath/penis, they do not have testicles and therefore lack the sperm needed to mate with females. However, these chimeras do have a vulva/vagina, a womb, and a fully functioning set of ovaries, meaning that they can be impregnated by other males who are willing to breed with them.
General Lore Bits
All dogs on the island are mutts at this point, but for the sake of simplicity I will refer to them as whatever breed is most dominant in their bloodline (ex, beagle mix, husky mutt, etc)
Despite being a manmade island, Cur County is huge and boasts numerous cities, towns, farms, and attractions.
Laws don't exist outside of the pack. This means that the only 'rules' or 'laws' that can govern a dog are the ones their pack leader issues. Strays, having no pack leader, are not bound by any laws or rules, which can make Cur County a dangerous and unpredictable place depending on what kind of dog you cross paths with.
Due to being a quarantine zone thanks to the radioactive levels on the island, humans almost never go near the place. The island itself is far enough out that the animals don't pose a risk of making it to the mainland, but coast guards who patrol the area are known to shoot swimming animals on-sight if they wander too far from the isle.
Cur County is similar in climate to Florida- it's mainly sunny and hot, doesn't snow, and is prone to being hit by storms.
While Cur County already had it's own wildlife due to a reservation found at the southern tip of the isle, numerous animals from zoos and farms have also managed to survive out here as well. Common wildlife that can be found on the isle are; rabbits, seals, fox, bear, cougars, monkeys, parrots, deer, wild pigs, goats, sheep, turkey, cows, horses, coyotes, rats, squirrels, prairie dogs, etc.
More uncommonly, animals such as moose, alligators, ostrich, pythons, tigers, and wolves can be found.
In regards to wolves, they are typically either feared/revered for being the epitome of what a dog should beonce was (powerful, fast, hardy, free) or hated for being primitive savages (instinctive, impartial, wild). The wolves in Cur County in particular are large and fast and rarely seen, but their existence is evident in the rare, yellow-eyed hybrids that can be found wandering the city here and there, and it's said that if your in the right place at the right time you'll be able to hear a pack howling to the moon once the sun falls.

Q&A SECTION
I don't have much to put in this section yet, but feel free to leave questions down below in the comment section and I'll happily answer them and add them to the list ?
**
So how does the series work- is it just a bunch of random one-shots, or is there a story?**
Both! The main storyline of Cur County will follow three different dogs- Luca, Ice, and Nox- and will center on their struggle to survive on the island, as well as the individual dreams and desires of them and their packs. Drama, politics, romance, angst, violence, and betrayal will all play a part in their stories, and there will be lots to entertain those who like a lot of plot to accompany their sex scenes. HOWEVER, for those of you who aren't here for all of that and just want to read the good stuff, many smut-centric chapters are easy to find and offer a variety of different kinks/pairings/scenarios for readers to enjoy.
Any warnings for the series?
Yes! I personally do not have triggers when it comes to writing these scenarios, and so it's possible that somewhere along the line you'll come to a chapter where you find something that just isn't your cup of tea. The good news? Many of Cur Countys erotic entries will be stand-alone chapters or one-shots, which means that if you don't like what your reading in that chapter, you can always skip to the next for an entirely new spicy entry. As for the main storyline of Cur County, the most common warnings would be for graphic violence, course language, and sexual situations. For trigger warnings? Angst, violence, rape, slavery, murder, and toxic relationships will all be featured in this story.
Will you write my character into the Story?
Yes! You can check out how to get your characters featured in a chapter of the series, or even request a special scenario/pairing between already existing characters on the next page to learn all about it!
How often do you upload?
I'm going to do my best to upload at least once a week, probably on weekends, but depending on how things go (my schedule, my muse, the demand from you guys) I could probably be tempted into posting more xD
