Chapter 4: A Little Tired
#4 of The Mating Season 5
Chapter 4: A Little Tired
Kilyan dragged himself up the hall, his heart as heavy as stone. Another child flown. Or flying, rather. He thought about Keeno and wondered what was better: only having one child to lose or having four. The upside of having one child was that they only flew the nest once, the downside was the lack of joy that other children could bring. Kilyan would be the first to admit: he had not wanted LiAnh's birth anymore than Wynn had so scathingly announced. But once he held that child in his arms . . . nothing he wanted mattered. Or would ever matter again. That's what it meant to be a father. A good father. He smiled to himself: it had taken him four kids to get to that realization.
LiAnh was sleeping gently when Kilyan entered, his white body a small spark in the gloomy bedroom. It was the smallest bedroom in the house, Roan and Zane's old bedroom, and once even Wynn's bedroom for a while. There against the shadowy wall stood a woven basket bursting with little wooden toys that Kilyan himself had carved or purchased, an old rag-doll Lea had sewn for Wynn when she first came to live with them, and the stained pup blankets that had been used so many times and were so hideously ragged, but Ohana had refused throw away. In a corner stood a low table, at which LiAnh practiced his letters and drew pictures of the teenage breasts he goggled at everyday, and in another was the old chair that Lea sat in with the boy on her lap. She would hold LiAnh close as she read to him the letters his cousin Enya sent every week, and he would listen with big eyes about the beauty of the sun village before begging to go there.
"Oh, don't you dare speak of going there," Lea would gently scold her son. "Your big brother already left me to live there! No, no, you stay right here in the summer village and look after your mother! Lord knows I'll need it, your father is so helpless."
And listening at the curtain, Kilyan would laugh.
Present-day Kilyan entered the shadowy bedroom and smiled when his son's sleepy black eyes rolled open. His heart cracked at the sadness in those black eyes! Black eyes that were like Lea's . . . and Loryn's. Kilyan sat on the bed and looked down at his miserable son. He started adjusting the sheets without thinking, without seeing, as his mind searched for something to say.
"Mommy said you planned for me," LiAnh said at last, biting his lip as Kilyan's fussing came to a startled stop.
Kilyan smiled. "We did, LiAnh. The truth is, your mother did want a daughter very badly. But . . . I didn't want to do it. You see, your big brothers were very misbehaved."
"Worse than me?"
"Worse than you," confirmed Kilyan with a poke on his son's nose, and he was glad when LiAnh grinned and those black eyes shinned.
"So for a very long time," Kilyan went on gently, "I didn't want anymore children. I was getting tired . . ."
"And old?" teased LiAnh.
Kilyan smiled and tweaked his son's ear. "And old. I'm actually one hundred and nine." He grinned when his son's eyes naively grew round.
"So . . . what made you change your mind?" LiAnh asked in wonder.
"Well, your brothers were moving out, for one," Kilyan said, and LiAnh giggled. "And I also realized how much I love your mother and that I would do anything in the world for her. Anything at all." Kilyan gazed off happily before continuing. "So we decided to have you. And when we did, we were the happiest parents in the world."
LiAnh grinned, then giggled again when his father ruffled his mane.
"Now go back to sleep," Kilyan said, adjusting the sheets again. "And LiAnh," he added sternly.
LiAnh's ears went back flat on his head. "Yes, sir?"
"Lay off your sister tomorrow. Okay? She has a lot on her mind and will be nervous enough as it is."
"Why?" asked the child with frowning eyes. He'd rather swallow his tongue than be nice to Wynn after tonight.
"I'm taking her to visit her mother."
LiAnh sprang upright. "Can I come?"
"LiAnh . . ."
"Why not!" LiAnh demanded, scowling. "I'm big enough! It's not fair, Wynn gets to do everything --"
"LiAnh, are you talking back to your father? Because I'm not so tired I can't go get your friend the leather strap --"
"No, sir . . ." said LiAnh miserably and settled back down in his sheets.
Kilyan smiled and smoothed his son's mane. "Good boy. My little LiAnh. One day you will travel the world, I'm sure. And as long as you come home to us, we won't mind. You will do a great many things and see a great many wonderful sights. Just not right now."
Kilyan leaned down close and kissed his son's fuzzy cheek in a hard and playful smack. LiAnh giggled and squealed out, "Dad!!!! Gross!"
Kilyan grinned and rose from the bed. "Good night, my son," he said, pausing at the curtain.
"Goodnight, my father." LiAnh smiled and turned on his side. He waited until his father had gone before he crept out of bed, and going to the basket of toys on the far side of the room, he took out Wynn's old rag doll and got back into bed with it.
When Kilyan entered the bedroom he shared with his wives, it was to find them asleep. He was a little disappointed: he had wanted to tell them about his talk with Wynn and had been sure they would wait up to hear about it. Perhaps they had attempted to wait up - Ohana usually did so faithfully - but today had been a long and emotionally draining day for them all. Wynn was not aware of it, but Lea and Ohana had gathered a few friends and searched the village for the girl before they realized she must have been out in the woods "getting her kicks." Ohana had wanted to storm off and drag "the little tart" home by the ear, but Kilyan had insisted on taming Wynn in a different manner: tonight they would announce that Wynn was to marry Inden. Inden, of course, readily agreed, and so no one had sought Wynn when she went missing.
Kilyan crawled into bed, his big body shifting the straw mattress and making his wives groan in their sleep as he settled between them. Ohana was on her belly, but Lea was on her side, and suddenly unable to resist the sight of her shapely body under the sheets, Kilyan climbed under and snuggled against Lea. His paw smoothed over her hip - so deliciously round now after two children - down the supple curve of her buttocks, and to her thigh, which he lifted away gently. The blast of heat from her exposed sex made him stand at once, but rather than slide himself between those big pussy lips he had drooled over since adolescence, he peeled them apart instead, pushed them back, and found the pink little clit that was practically buried in those sweet-smelling folds of flesh.
Kilyan closed his eyes as he rolled Lea's little clit back and forth in his big fingers. He felt it swell and throb as his other arm slid under her body and his fingers closed over her swollen tit. Her tits had gotten huge - even bigger then before - after the birth of LiAnh, and Kilyan's fingers sank in the soft mound as he flexed them and buried a kiss in Lea's long neck.
Lea moaned and her long lashes fluttered as she came awake. Kilyan's caressing intensified, and after giving her clit a little twist, he sank his fingers in her sex and heard her sigh long and satisfied. "Oh, Kilyan . . ." she whispered, twisting her body against him. "Kilyan - Oh, g-god . . ."
Kilyan knew without having to look that Lea's white cheeks were blushing crimson. A flush spilled over her tits, and the little pink nipples stood out so hard one would have thought he'd applied ice to them. He suddenly wanted her tits and gently pushed her onto her back, then took one hard little nipple in his lips and pulled, steady and hungry. Lea sighed and wriggled under him, then gasped when he spread her legs and entered. They rocked together under the sheets, so quietly and yet so breathlessly. Lea's big breasts rode with Kilyan's thrusts and eventually started bouncing so hard that Kilyan stopped sucking her and kissed her instead.
"Kilyan," Lea teased when her husband's lips pulled away, "I thought you were tired."
"Never too tired for you," Kilyan answered breathlessly. He grunted and suddenly pulled out, and Lea heard his strained cry when he came. "Okay," Kilyan admitted, dropping his forehead against hers, "maybe I am a little tired."
They smiled into each other's eyes. Then Kilyan climbed off of Lea and snuggled against her, taking her into his arms.
"You talk to the kids?" Lea whispered, affectionately flicking her husband's black mane from his eyes.
"Check and check," confirmed Kilyan playfully.
Lea laughed quietly, but her eyes darkened sadly when she whispered, "LiAnh was so upset, Kilyan. He really thought we didn't want him."
"I know, honey," Kilyan whispered, pulling Lea close. He felt her sigh against his shoulder.
"What's the matter with Wynn? Is she okay?"
"It's about Avi . . ." Kilyan admitted bitterly. "And the jungle . . ."
Lea looked up quickly and her voice was sharp, "She wants to go back?"
The look in Kilyan's eyes was a silent confirmation.
"And you're letting her?"
Kilyan heaved a miserable sigh. Lea shot upright. Kilyan sat up too, hoping desperately that Ohana was not about to wake up. He knew Lea would take it this way, and if Ohana awoke, the pair of them would gang up on him. There was no way in hell, after all, that they were going to let Wynn - who they considered their daughter - just walk out of their lives.
Lea stared at Kilyan, incredulous. "Why on earth?" she demanded as she waved her little paws. Her eyes were insulted, pleading. After all, Lea and Ohana had done everything in their power to be good mothers to Wynn, to care for her and advise her in how to one day become a good female with a family of her own. Hell, Wynn wasn't just like their daughter: she was their daughter.
"Lea. . . ." began Kilyan gently.
"If Avi wants her daughter so badly, she shouldn't have let her run away!" Lea burst before Kilyan could finish.
Kilyan scowled. "Lea, you know it wasn't like that! Wynn ran away from home looking for me --"
"Because you abandoned her after you cheated on me and Ohana!" Lea cried, her eyes squinting up with tears. She folded her arms and looked away as the tears fell, thickening at the corners of her black lashes first, then dropping to her breasts.
Kilyan's expression softened and he massaged Lea's shoulders, rubbing her arms up and down as he whispered lovingly, "I know, honey. I don't want our daughter to leave anymore than you do."
Lea bowed her head. She broke down crying with a sudden shuddering breath, then whirled around and fell in Kilyan's strong arms. He closed his eyes as he held her, as he shushed her and whispered lovingly, "I know, honey . . . I know . . ."
Why hadn't he seen this coming? Wynn had shown hints of shemale wildness in the first days he had known her. Of course she would one day want to return to the jungle . . . Maybe he had lied to himself, told himself she would fit in fine in the summer village, that she would be happy there with him forever. Kilyan squeezed his eyes shut. He had always been so damned good at lying to himself when it came to Wynn.
Kilyan was about to pull Lea down with him and massage her into a deep sleep when a scream from Wynn's room made him freeze. Ohana jerked upright, her mane in her fiery gray eyes, and Lea cried out as Kilyan sprang from the bed in a toss of sheets and pillows. He snatched a long dagger from the bedside table and disappeared in a wild sprint from the room. Lea and Ohana scrambled up and followed with flapping breasts and streaming tails.
