Camilla - The Conquerer, Chapter 3
#4 of Camilla Queen, the Conquerer
Chapter 3
The next morning Camilla woke up before the butler Frank Simson could perform his wake-up ritual.
"I'm chipper," the fox-wolf started, yawning heartily and stretching, then looked at him and continued, "so you can save your litany."
"Very well Miss Queen. Nevertheless, I wish them a good morning."
"Thanks Frank, what time is the arrival of the Supreme listed?"
"If they hurry, they'll be done faster than it's delivered."
"Frank, they're starting to give me the creeps. They're so full of back talk."
"I'm trying out an innovation in my programming right now," the artificial Doberman confirmed.
"But I'm not spared anything either," Camilla sighed and stood up.
"Shall I bring their first coffee to their room as usual?" asked Frank.
"No, today in the dining room please. Is my stepbrother awake yet too?"
"So far, I haven't heard any sounds coming from his room, but if you wish, I'd be happy to check."
"Not necessary," Camilla rebuffed. "I don't want him disturbed doing important things later."
The butler looked at the fox-wolf questioningly at first, then his expression changed to incredulous amazement and at the end to a slightly sinister shade. "I don't want to see that."
"Nobody wants to see THAT," Camilla added, shaking her head.
At that moment there was a knock at the door.
"Come in," Camilla called, looking toward the room's entrance.
"Hello, sis," Stephen called exuberantly after opening the door and poking his head through the crack.
"Good morning Stephen. How's the worthy wolf feeling?"
"Very uplifting, just too euphoric."
"It sounds heavy on the "good thing I didn't have to experience that," Frank interjected.
"Our butler is a bit forward, or am I mistaken?" retorted Stephen, somewhat indignantly, in Camilla's direction.
"I hope they paid attention to hygiene," added the Doberman. "I don't want to trip over unsightly leftovers."
Stephen shook his head and took a deep breath. "Don't worry Frank."
"Miss Queen," the quickly changed the subject. "I'm going to leave her alone now. It wouldn't do to have the Supreme delivered and no one open."
"Do that and take the lecher with you while you're at it," Camilla gave with a grin, pointing at her stepbrother.
"Mister Lang, would you accompany me?" the Doberman prompted the male wolf.
"Sure thing - see you later, sis."
Butler and wolf disappeared from Camilla's sight, while the fox-wolf stretched again briefly and entered the bathroom.
Half an hour later, the fox-wolf appeared in the dining room and looked at the grandfather clock. "Let me summarize then. We're on our way to the space port tomorrow, have normal luggage with us, and the Supreme, which is hauling our equipment."
"Short and to the point as always, Miss Queen," interjected Frank Simson.
"And a suck-up he is, too," Stephen added, rolling his eyes. "But he's right."
"I'm kind of uncomfortable with the idea of flying to the spaceport by air cab and then marching across the counter with an autonomous cargo robot," Camilla began to doubt.
"You really liked the idea yesterday," Stephen tried to reassure her.
"Last night we were all very enthusiastic."
"Don't worry, everything will be fine."
"I'm thinking of the Supreme only being allowed to Sirius A. After B and C it should be very difficult, not to mention D."
"Now get this stupid Sirius D out of your fucking head," Stephen got slightly pissed. "What we're looking for is on Sirius B, somewhere in the wasteland. As far as Sirius A, we'll get there, guaranteed."
"You're right, Stephen ..." she wanted to veto again, but got no further as the doorbell rang.
"Ah, this must be the delivery," Stephen exulted, running out of the room and opening the heavy front door.
At first, nothing was heard, except for the rustling of the somewhat strong wind that blew around the villa. Then a deep sigh and then a loud growl. "Come here quickly. You have to see this," the wolf finally shouted.
Quickly butler Frank and Camilla went towards the scene and looked at the object of desire.
"You're not serious now," the fox-wolf caught herself and put her fists on her hips.
Frank Simson looked slightly concerned and uncharacteristically shrugged his shoulders. "Someone knows them very well," he muttered to himself.
Stephen grinned wryly and looked apologetically at his stepsister. "If I'd known, I would have given you a heads up or chosen a different model."
"Let it be," hissed the fox-wolf, "it's not your fault and you don't have to apologize. But if I catch the one who made him like that, he'll be in for a surprise."
"Well, Miss Queen. If I may cheer her up a bit - he looks exquisite."
"He? It's an it, it's a freaking cargo robot, it's all stupider Big Dog Supreme."
"That's right, sis. Big Dog and your oh-so-beloved Anubis is ...", Stephen started and was harshly interrupted by Camilla, "... a jackal. He's a jackal, not a dog."
"He certainly looks the part," Camilla's stepbrother concluded his thought.
Suddenly, the one who was the subject of the dispute spoke up, but so far remained silent. "If I may introduce myself - I am a model of the BD Supreme series, a fully autonomous robotic system, ordered to serve Miss Camilla Queen. I ask the one I mentioned to step forward and tell me her name, for voice recognition, herself. A voice pattern is already pre-programmed and needs to be tuned," the robot buzzed in an outrageously velvety voice.
"Go ahead, sis. He's yours."
"You douche!" escaped Camilla, stepping forward and looking urgently at the robot, as she had the impression on his part. "My name is Camilla Queen," the fox-wolf continued energetically.
"Accessor name confirmed and saved. My name is Anubis and I am prepared for them."
Camilla ran bright red under her fur. No matter who had thought this up, they were going to be in serious trouble. "All right, Anubis!" she growled irritably, "Then surely you will know your duty by my side by now?"
"I will carry their equipment," came the reply as a matter of course.
"Very good." The fox-wolf looked more closely at the Anubis-creature.
In fact, someone had made a great effort to adapt the robot in appearance to the god of the dead, the guardian of the scales. He had succeeded very well, even if it was four-legged, similar to a Tauren and mechanical, metallic-shiny.
Camilla walked up to him, circled him, and gently stroked the aluminum skin with her left hand.
"Give me your current status!" she finally prompted him.
"All systems green - nominal. Power cells at full capacity. Sensory systems at full capacity and ready to receive."
"Excellent, then follow me," Camilla said, turning, striding toward the stairs. "Are you coming too, or are you going to leave me alone with my new lover? After all, it's Anubis and not only does he have four legs, he also has two arms on his torso and hands."
"He's a robot, not a living thing," Stephen muttered.
"I heard that," Camilla replied, snapping her fingers.
Reluctantly but obediently, Stephen and butler Frank followed the duo and climbed the stairs.
Once in the study, the four stood in the room and looked around. The equipment was neatly stacked and presented a very clear view.
"That's all you have to carry," Camilla added.
"I'll look at it in a minute," the jackal-tauren robot purred, stepping closer.
He stood there looking at the pile, then circled the boxes and oblong pieces of equipment.
Finally, he raised his voice: "The weight is 420 kilograms, so my load limit is far below that. When should I be ready to travel?"
"Tomorrow morning we will take an air cab to the space port. The destination of our trip is first Sirius A with a normal excursion ship, then we will fly to Sirius B with a transfer shuttle," Camilla explained.
"Sirius B?" the robot asked rather rhetorically. "You are aware that the Sirius B and C area is closed to load carriers and other autonomous systems?"
"We're well aware of that, so we'll also try to get a not-quite-legal transfer going," Stephen confirmed, raising an eyebrow.
"Your raised eyebrow indicates to me very clearly that the situation, while not hopeless, has a mild to moderate character of illegality," the mechanical Anubis stated.
"Great, a robot with morals," Frank Simson said.
Stephen's and Camilla's facial expressions froze, even the cargo robot seemed to do the same. This state lasted for what felt like minutes, but actually lasted only a few seconds.
Then three heads turned in slow motion towards the butler and looked at him from top to bottom.
"Interesting," Camilla observed. "You, of all people, are noticing something like that."
"Miss Queen, if you please. You're not going to compare me to that, are you?"
"Basically, there's not much difference," Stephen interjected.
"Now you're really disappointing me," the butler grumbled. "I'm a Doberman and that one is a pile of tin and it shows."
"I am an autonomous unit," the load carrier indignantly said.
"And what's the difference?" grumbled the Doberman, slightly miffed.
"We are very similar," the Anubis-like one began, "in fact, inside we are almost identical. We differ only on the outside and in our mission."
"Unbelievable!", Frank Simson became visibly angry.
Camilla started to grin. "I'm starting to like him more and more."
"Have you fallen in love?" teased Stephen.
"He's funny, he's got something," the fox-wolf announced, scratching under her chin and finally crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"Thank you Miss Queen," the cargo robot purred, "but I still submit that there will be complications if we are spotted on Sirius B."
"Let us worry about that. Don't worry your electronic head about things that are none of your business."
"These things, as you just said, are very much my business, since I am the one who is the problem," the mechanical Anubis clarified.
"Sis, you made a real friend there," Stephen said, starting to laugh.
"You go ahead and laugh, maybe ...", Camilla thought out loud.
"... Don't even think about it," her stepbrother energetically intervened.
"You don't even know what my thought was."
"I fear bad things."
"I was thinking of keeping him on a permanent basis. Then maybe there would be less discussion about his mission goals and our missions."
Stephen breathed an audible sigh of relief. "I thought ...".
"That would be going a bit too far then," Camilla growled, "I might as well let Frank sweeten my phases."
"Miss Queen! This has gone too far, if you please," the butler announced awkwardly.
"Fine! Then we are in agreement. Besides, this Anubis is a load carrier and doesn't have the equipment anyway. At least, I don't think he's programmed for sex. There are already some things missing that even Frank doesn't have."
The cargo robot easily posed for presentation. "I am capable of many things through programming, Miss Queen and also expandable and customizable in my physical components."
"Don't give me any ideas," Camilla became gruff.
"Sis," Stephen intervened, "if you do that, then you've really come too damn far. You've got a bit of a reputation in the public eye anyway, but if this happens and it gets out, then it's broken for good."
"Nothing will happen, and even if it did, who would know?"
"I'd better not say any more. It's your robot. Do what you think."
"Either way, we're going to bed now and Anubis is staying here," Camilla ordered and left the room.
Once in her room, she closed the door behind her, undressed and lay down on her bed.
Actually, she wanted to sleep, but for some reason she couldn't get any rest, tossing and turning.
'Sirius A, Sirius B, Osiris fragment, Anubis, Sirius D.' What's the catch there?' she mused.
Something was wrong, she knew something was wrong and the combination of the exclusion zone, fragment and this cargo robot in the form of an Anubis jackal tauren had a perhaps sinister connection.
She had this premonition, but could not fix it clearly.
Just the thought of this Anubis and especially his suggestion that he could be programmed and also physically upgraded showed her that there could be something wrong.
Why did someone get the idea to send her a bearer of burdens, indeed as a Tauren, but in the form of the ancient Egyptian god Anubis, who then also offers her backtalk, is impudently cheeky, ambiguous in his expressions and then even comes up with the idea of wanting to mate with her.
She sat upright in bed, stared into the semi-darkness, took a deep breath. "There's no way I'll ever fuck a robot," she shouted loudly across the room.
As if on command, something seemed to move out of the darkness toward them. It had a shadowy outline, came closer, became clearer.
"What are you doing here?" asked Camilla.
"You know that very well. I know it too, since I am Anubis."
"How did you get in here?" the fox-wolf became indignant.
"You can answer that question for yourself as well. I am here at your own request."
"You're just a robot and I'm just a little shaken up."
"No, you're not. I'm here because you want me to be, because you need me like I need you."
"What do you mean?"
"I need you to get to Sirius D and you need me to get you to Sirius D."
"We can't go there together."
"Yes, we can, together."
"You said yourself that it's already going to be difficult for Sirius B and C."
"We're going to get me an organic coating. I need meat, skin and fur."
"How do you picture it?"
"We'll find the right one."
"You're very sure about that, though. Nevertheless, you remain a robot."
"I am an autonomous, don't forget that. I am also constantly programming myself and adapting to the needs of my owners. I am programmed to you and adapt more and more to your desires."
"How fortunate that we can't do that in all areas."
Suddenly, the robot's outline emerged from the semi-darkness, onto her bed, stood sideways next to her, and presented her with something that startled her.
"What, that can't be?"
"He can be yours, too. He's been there all along."
Camilla recognized before her eyes the shape and dimensions of an erect male penis. Did she realize that it had grown deep from the metallic interior and what irritated her extremely was that it was not artificial, but flesh and blood.
Carefully she reached out, touched the swollen member, stroked it gently and felt that it was warm, smooth and slightly moist. In addition, she felt the pulsating from within him.
The robot turned its torso toward her, looked at her Anubis, seemed to simulate a smile, gave a strange moan, jumped off the bed and disappeared into the semi-darkness, literally vanishing into thin air.
With a strangled cry, Camilla awoke and looked around, startled.
Had she imagined it all? Had she just experienced it or had she been dreaming? Had she ended up falling asleep inside her mind after all, and hadn't all this happened?
Either way, everything was one more reason for her to pay attention. Everything indicated that big trouble was brewing and there was a direct connection between her and this robot.
It was three o'clock in the morning and Camilla closed her eyes, turned to the side and fell asleep again. The next day would be exhausting.
