Camilla - The Conquerer, Chapter 19
#19 of Camilla Queen, the Conquerer
Chapter 19
"Hello Captain Degreen," Isis called out delightedly as the group entered the bridge.
The stallion turned and looked at the group in detail and spotted his first officer. "Miss Onari," he greeted her, not paying more intense attention to the others at first, "how about you go to your post. The rest had best stay out of the way."
"I was hoping we could help," Anuset interjected.
"Right, that's why I don't want you guys in the way. I want my baby to land in one piece, not hit the ground like a rock."
"Now that was mean," Camilla cleared her throat.
"Take it any way you want, Miss Queen. How much do you know about aerodynamics, approach vectors, inertia, drag, yaw angles?"
"Um..."
"Look, Miss Queen. Everyone has their specialty. You have archaeology, god beings, and I have this ship, physics and astronautics."
"You're right," Camilla replied and sighed.
The captain tapped the intercom, "Degreen to all! You are cleared to land. We are now descending and target coordinates for Alpha 12 Québec Tango 56. Action!"
"When have I heard that before?" muttered Isis inaudibly.
"When they had seen it all?" asked Greta.
"Did we get back to 'they'?"
"With a question like that, I'll do it to be on the safe side," Camilla replied.
"No need, sweetie. And the answer is, yes. Degreen insists on a certain command structure."
"Oh."
"But psssssst."
The fox-wolf nodded curtly. "Captain Degreen. Have they made contact with our prospective shuttle yet?"
"Miss Queen," the stallion started, "the shuttle they're alluding to is located at site Alpha 219 Sigma 01. That's a good bit of walking after we land."
"Very nice, Captain," Isis interjected, pushing Camilla back a bit. "We'll leave the bridge again now," the goddess added and rolled her eyes, pointing to the exit and waving her hand in that direction.
After more or less voluntarily the group had left the bridge, the captain looked at his officer. "Onari, was it really necessary for them to have this squad in tow all the time?"
"Captain, I can't choose certain things, but basically you're right. I will try to pay attention in the future."
"Very good First and now concentrate on your work."
"Aye Captain!"
"I'm going to check on Frank Simson now and hope that Nephtys hasn't sacrificed him yet."
"A very good idea," Camilla announced, standing next to Anuset, who leaned gently against her.
"It just occurred to me," the Taur started, "that we still don't know who the pilot of the shuttle is."
"Sweetheart," the goddess purred at the Taur, "that should show up in your programming."
"I have Bastet and Horus as choices there," mused Anuset.
"See, and one of the two will be."
"I would prefer Bastet. Nephtys is enough for me, but Horus would be my downfall."
"You also know that Bastet is slightly insane," Isis pointed out.
"Even worse than usual?"
"Well, she used to be mildly irritating, but for some time now her five minutes have been piling up."
"As long as she doesn't kill us with it, we'll be fine," Anuset stated, sighing softly, "Let's go our separate ways. I'll see you when we land."
The group dispersed.
Anuset and Camilla went to their suite, indulging their lust and passion there, the fox-wolf letting her divine lover become a stallion again, enjoying his strength and endurance.
Isis, meanwhile, went to her cabin, retrieved a vial from her mysterious case, drew up a syringe, pocketed it, and made her way to Nephtys' cabin, where she suspected Camilla's butler Frank Simson was.
Once there, she knocked.
"Come in," Nephtys called out.
"It's only me," Isis announced, stepping into the room.
"Oh, yes. There was one more thing," Nephtys said, rising as Frank remained seated.
"I have the nanobots," Isis said, pulling out the syringe, "Mister Simson. Your show."
"I'm ready when they are," the Doberman announced.
"It won't hurt either," Isis fluffed, and without another word stabbed the needle into a simulated arm vein flushed with coolant.
"What's going to happen now?" asked Frank.
"Nothing for now. It takes a little time for the nanobots to get lost in their AI, reproduce, learn their stored artificial anatomy and bring about appropriate transformations, as well as the formation of natural body traits appropriate to their species."
"And then, my sweet, hot male, we're going to have fun," Nephtys announced lustfully.
"Don't we have fun as it is?" wondered the Doberman.
"We do, but I want us to savor this one together."
"You're very welcome, Miss Nephtys."
"Oh, no. Not again," the goddess pouted, "Now you're back to 'she'. It's me, your Nephy."
"You're right, my darling," Frank bent a little and wrestled a smile from himself.
Isis watched the two, thought her piece, and wordlessly, but briefly waved, left the room. 'Somehow the dog already seems overwhelmed now,' she was still thinking to herself.
Arriving at her cabin, Stephen awaited her impatiently.
"Are you all right, my darling?" asked Isis, addressing her wolf.
"Yes. I'm just worried about Frank. I don't know if this Nephtys is too much for him."
"That remains to be seen. The nanobots will start working in two days. The rest will have to come from him and her."
"What will our future be like now?" Stephen looked anxiously at his goddess.
"Don't worry about that. I imagine it will be very adventurous. Nephtys and Frank, the two of us, Camilla and Anuset, if we all stay in the mansion as a group, we'll have the best team in the universe."
"I thought you were going and taking me with you?"
"I've changed my mind. I'm staying with you and the rest of the stupid squad. I'd miss something if I didn't. Besides, at least I have Frank to look after."
"Don't you think Anuset would do for that? Besides, Camilla will be there too."
"Yes. I had that thought, too, but I've deviated from it. Nephtys is and always will be unpredictable, and your butler would be helpless against her."
"He is a strong Doberman," Stephen pointed out.
"Nor is he artificial and asexual," Isis countered.
"You mean ..." continued Stephen.
"... He will be overrun by feelings and desires. You were," Isis interrupted him.
"But I was born naturally and am a living being."
"So will Frank, at least the latter. But tell me yourself, the first time you were intimate with me, you were completely done afterwards, too."
"Isis, did we ever finish? I rather think we just quit," the wolf male countered.
"True again. But then, you're a good boy and Mommy can't get enough of you."
"Do me a favor?" sighed Stephen.
"I'd love to," the goddess replied.
"It would be nice if you thought of me as your full partner and not as a little boy doing his mommy. That's demeaning and somehow it seems wrong to me too, downright incest."
"If that's the way you want it, then so be it. That said, I'm not a pervert and I would never do it with a child. In fact, I shouldn't have sex at all, because I could be mommy and X times grandmother to anyone here, because of my age."
"That would be a shame. Especially for me," Stephen whispered conspiratorially, stepping closer to Isis, taking her in his arms and kissing her passionately.
The goddess willingly let herself go into his care, returned the kiss, becoming more demanding and very quickly managed to convince her partner that the kiss could only be the beginning.
When the cruise ship touched down at its destination after a few hours, the cries of satisfaction could be heard coming from Camilla's suite and Isi's cabin.
With shining eyes and slightly tired bodies, the four met in the ship's lobby.
"You guys look so beat," the fox-wolf noted with concern as she looked at her stepbrother.
"You two aren't exactly fresh either," Stephen countered, winking mischievously.
"Honor to whom honor is due. Anuset may be polite and also very gentle, but ...," Camilla started.
"... You don't have to finish the sentence, sis. I can only confirm it with Isis. Our gods really do give their all and then some."
"I'm afraid we're in over our heads," Camilla sighed.
"No. It's only temporary," Stephen cheered her up, "at least I was able to get the good boy and mommy game out of Isis."
"Oh, how come?", Camilla was thrilled, "And you mean it's going to last?"
"Let me put it this way. Isis, even though she's a goddess, kept crying out for God."
"Well, you're a splendid little fellow."
"Now cut it out, sis. You're well served by Anuset, too, and he can't challenge you to a lance fight often enough."
"Oh yeah, and trust me, he's pretty damn good with it."
"As long as there are no casualties."
"Not so far, I'm still slowing him down in time."
"So, you two," Isis interjected. "It's very delightful that you are discussing our divine sex activities, but we have more important things to do now. Captain Degreen sent word to me that as soon as everyone is off the ship, we will meet and put on protective suits. The atmosphere is too thin to walk long strenuous distances. Above all, it should be impossible for Anuset wearing the gear, even with exoskeleton and servo support."
"Very well," Camilla replied.
"How nice. When this is all over, we'll all be living comfortably in your mansion and we'll all be terribly fond of each other," sounded from the background.
Nephtys and Frank had appeared and were preparing to join them.
"Oh, hello Nephtys. I didn't expect to see you now," Camilla noted, slightly irritated.
"Oh, Camilla-heart," purred the goddess, "don't be so begrudging. Everything will be fine."
"Isis?" the fox-wolf turned the main goddess, "I thought you had given Frank the nanobots."
"I did," Isis replied.
"What else did you do? I'm alluding to the strange behavior of Nephtys."
"No, no. I have to come to Isis' defense," Nephtys explained, "Frank is to blame. He's not just a charmer, he excels at a whole lot of other things."
The fox-wolf looked deeply at her butler.
He returned the look and raised an eyebrow. "I've had enough teaching material."
Camilla turned bright red under her fur and uncomfortable heat rose inside her. "So much for staff discretion," she murmured softly.
"Don't worry, Miss Queen. You have nothing to do with this," Frank Simson justified himself.
Gradually, the cruise ship emptied and silence descended. Suddenly, the first officer Onari appeared. "What are you waiting for? Follow me."
"In there," were the next words after everyone had gathered in the pressure equalization cabin.
"Ah. The suits," Camilla noted.
"Why do you have another airlock?" asked Anuset curiously.
"For one god, oh sorry, for two gods a richly stupid question. Ever thought that we could fly through atmospheres and get hit by meteors especially in space?"
"Then my question was indeed unglamorous," the Taur apologized. "I'm only used to it from our Antermerian dimensional cruisers. There was constantly the problem of hull damage due to the battles."
"You know what amazes me?" continued Onari, "That you guys are so much further along than we are, but you're acting weird."
"Very simple explanation," Anuset began to justify himself, "after all we've experienced with the human race of that time, we wouldn't have been surprised that the essentials were forgotten."
"Okay, the point goes to you," the hyena replied, "But those were humans, not anthros."
"Then I'll gladly return the point," Anuset replied.
"Still, I'm surprised you're not in contact with your army," Onari echoed.
"They're not Antermerians like us either. That's humans, well, they were humans," the Taur justified himself.
"Still, I wonder how we are what we are?" asked Stephen, as if out of nowhere.
"Actually ...", Isis interfered and was interrupted by Anuset, "... what do you know about the Great War?"
First an awkward silence, then Onari replied, "There's not much in the way of lore."
"Exactly, and that's the problem," Anuset replied, "the humans bred Chafren on the planet Genro to use them against their own kind, against the Cherit. That went wrong, several hundred years ago now. All Chafren and Cherit, as well as Balgonians and Haldorans, who were involved in the great attack of the renegade Antermerians at that time, are no longer alive. It has also been forgotten that a she-wolf and a male wolf were the ones who led the war to victory at a decisive point. They sacrificed themselves, laid down their lives to save humanity, and at the right time and place destroyed the flagship of the attackers by a heroic suicide."
"What exactly happened?" asked Stephen.
"Drekal, that was the name of the she-wolf, in an unprecedented act and in a completely hopeless situation, had thrown herself and her ship of the Amun-Re at the enemy's ship and blasted it into the vacuum along with her own, while her partner tried to shine by diplomacy, unfortunately wanted to use it on the wrong people, and became a peace-loving sad victim. A she-wolf, named Diana, was present and subsequently torched the central park in a city called Berlin, turning an entire hostile urban area into rubble. Those were the two central points of why the renegades lost the war."
"But how did it happen that the humans were so decimated?" continued Stephen, "I don't understand the context now."
"Humans and Anthros rejoiced in victory, became friends, lived door to door, but not everyone likes such a development. There are always people to whom peace does not fill the purse."
"You mean that humans have wiped themselves out?"
"Almost right. It is rather that everything got out of hand and a situation developed which allowed only one species at the end. There were increasing indications at that time of a sect, of a grouping, which aimed to wipe out the Chafren, Cherit and us Antermerians, or at least to hand them over and drive them out. We learned of this and also of a completely unknown species that was to be used against us as a means to an end.
So the humans, Chafren and Cherit sent an experienced crew with an experienced captain aboard the Cherit subspace cruiser Horem-hab to a planet or rather planetoid called LV426.
The species there was unique ages ago, extremely aggressive and no one knew where it came from. A ship called Nostromo, together with its crew and later a whole settler colony found certain death. By atomic contamination of the planet, after an overload of the generators and their explosion, this species was thrown into a mutation. Previously bipedal and very fast, giant spider-like creatures emerged, which were not only unavoidable, but also developed telepathic swarm intelligence. These should serve as a weapon against us and thus also against you.
But it did not come to that.
This species remained there, the sectarians were found out and imprisoned.
There was supposed to be a peace treaty between us and the renegades. It was signed on Genro, but broken by humans on Earth. There was another war, this time with the result that humanity almost completely wiped itself out with its technology and the Anthros took over as the more resistant species."
"And that's how we got to our current state," Camilla concluded.
"In the end, humanity has sidelined itself with its technology, coupled with its infinite will to wipe out everything alien," Isis stated.
"And that's where my military training comes from. Now get into your suits," Onari ordered, "we're on a tight schedule."
