Junkyard Thing Part 5 - Blue
Jason is fascinated by his strange new canine companion, but the thing hides a dark secret.
This story is part of a six part series: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6
Everything felt wrong. Jason couldn't get comfortable. Something sharp needled at him, and parts of his body were cold when they shouldn't be. The normal remedies had already failed. But the discomfort was associated with excitement - something pleasant, if only he could remember.
Jason oozed into full wakefulness. He was perched on the edge of his bed, despite it being a king size mattress. His feet stuck out from under a duvet which ought to cover a small family with some to spare, and a large bulk pinned it down, preventing him from tugging it over himself. Stubby claws pressed against his back, and loud snores issued from the middle of the bed.
Blue! The strange canine thing was right there, snoring on Jason's bed. He felt boyishly excited by the idea of a pet who could talk. He reminded himself not to get carried away. Blue was far more mysterious than a pet dog, and Jason still knew very little about him. Still, he knew the thing was very smart, and that he hid a deep uncertainty beneath his bravado. The Thing was also extremely sexy. Jason was hoping very much that Blue could stick around, although he would have to learn not to hog the bed!
He rolled over, balancing himself so as not to fall off the edge. He was rewarded with a view of the thing's blunt canine face smushed cutely into the pillow. Blue looked very peaceful, so Jason just watched him for a while. The thing seemed to sense his gaze, and gave a little sneeze and stretched his paws as his eyes opened. Jason was nearly pushed off the bed again. He gave the thing a little scratch on the nose.
"You're pushing me off the bed!" he chided.
"S-Sorry."
The thing rolled the other way until his legs were sticking up in the air, and Jason had a nice view down his belly to his thick sheath and solid balls. Blue seemed completely relaxed and unselfconscious in his nudity, as if it was the most natural thing in the world - which of course it was. It also made for an enticing sight. The man turned around so that he could lie beside the canine and run his hands over the soft iridescent blue fur. Soon he hands worked their way down until they caressed that wonderful sheath.
The thing stretched, and his tail swished side-to-side on the duvet. Jason felt brave. He could feel the thing's cock, smooth and firm within his sheath. He squeezed gently and started to slide the sheath back and forth over Blue's cock. The thing stretched himself out as he accepted the attention.
"Yes", he mumbled in his raspy voice, then "Further down!".
Jason eased his fingers further back along the thing's sheath until they closed naturally around the bulge at the base of his cock. The thing definitely liked that; his hips gave a little thrust. At the same time, Jason felt a wet nose exploring between his legs, and a tongue brushed his cock which was quickly getting hard.
Thrilled, Jason levered himself up until he could straddle the canine's head while still bending down to play with that fascinating cock. A huge tongue immediately engulfed his own member. He tried to focus on his explorations. The canine's cock had a pointed tip and smooth shaft which was developing an evocative shape as it swelled. Jason needed to see more. He eased the sheath back until the entire cock was exposed, cradled in his free hand. It was thick near the end, tapering down in a sensual curve along its length until it flared out again into that interesting bulb near the base. It looked sensitive, so he was very careful as he bent down and slipped it into his mouth.
He felt a moment of shock and even revulsion, just because this thing was so much more animal than human. But it was also very erotic, and Blue didn't seem to feel any such reservations. Once he got over that initial moment, all his concerns vanished. The thing's dextrous tongue ministered to his own cock with sensations he'd never imagined, carrying him on a blissful wave, and the thing's engorged shaft now filled his mouth. He squeezed firmly behind the thing's swollen "knot", just because it seemed natural to do so.
Blue was huffing with excitement as he thrust his hips upwards, and Jason wrapped his fingers around the thing's knot. Then he felt the thing's muscles clenching as hot salty cum poured into his mouth. Blue stopped his licking for a moment as his breath came in gasps and his tail flagged in time with his pulses of cum. Jason was extremely turned on; his balls ached for release and he was relieved when the thing resumed his tongue work with new enthusiasm. Now Jason relaxed, savouring the continuing pulses of watery cum in his mouth as his that amazing tongue teased him and caressed the tip of his cock. It wasn't long until he reached a shuddering orgasm, and his own sticky white seed gushed out into the thing's waiting muzzle. Blue lapped up every spurt.
Jason collapsed on his back beside the canine.
"Wow!", he said.
"Wow!" Blue echoed back in his husky voice, and Jason could see a satisfied grin on the thing's broad face.
Lying beside the thing was very relaxing, and it was mid-morning by the time they eventually dragged themselves out of bed. Jason thought the thing might need to go outside, and was surprised to find that Blue already knew how to use the toilet. It was an excellent reminder of just how smart the strange canine actually was. It was well past breakfast time, and an investigation of the fridge revealed bacon and eggs which were soon sizzling in the pan. The Thing also turned out to be very fond of coffee, and Jason wondered what other human vices he had picked up. He was deeply curious to know more – or even anything at all – about where the Things came from. Blue perched on a chair at the tiny kitchen table, and proved that his dextrous front paws were quite proficient at using a coffee mug, although he wasn't so elegant when it came to using a knife and fork.
“We come from different world," Blue explained as they sipped their coffee. Jason had figured this might be the case; it was far-fetched, but he couldn't think of more plausible explanation.
“Far away", Blue continued, “I don't know where or how far. We come by ancient door between worlds."
“Is this door still open?"
“Yes, but hidden. Nobody from your world knows; only very few from ours. Doors are ancient secret, most are lost."
“So what are you and the others doing here?"
“Adventuring. The others wanted to steal things, maybe have some fun."
“And what about you?"
“I -" Blue began, then he stopped, and his eyes lowered. “I'm nobody, not important. I was hungry, I followed the boss. She is strong. But no good."
As the morning passed, Jason gradually learned more about this other world: it was colder than Earth, and larger. Blue described it as “everything heavier". Their technology sounded medieval – Leather and steel and stone castles. But when Jason tried to press the thing for more details about his own life, he became evasive. Instead, Blue steered the conversation into detailed descriptions of hunting trips and the lavish feasting which followed, and talking about it made him drool.
They needed some fresh air, so Jason decided to risk a walk in the afternoon. They stuck to the shady edges of the park and stayed well away from the one or two other dog walkers they saw. Watching Blue striding along the path and sniffing around the trees in a very canine way, Jason felt a sense of fulfilment, of living simply in the moment. He'd always wanted a dog, but the Thing was not what he'd had in mind! Much better, he thought with a grin.
By the time the day was fading towards evening, they were getting pretty hungry again. Jason found a local takeaway shop which specialised in BBQ style meats. Blue showed a high level of excitement and generated a lot of drool as they scrolled through the online menu. With the help of Uber Eats, they were soon enjoying a carnivore's feast. Blue wolfed it down with relish, although he had to show loyalty to his home world by claiming that fresh deer roasted over a fire tasted better.
That night, Jason lay awake as the Thing snored beside him. Blue's warm, soft bulk felt wonderfully reassuring against his naked skin, but doubts plagued his thoughts. He really hoped the Thing would stay with him; he'd never felt such a feeling of uncomplicated satisfaction before. But how did Blue feel? What did the canine need and what kind of life would he have? And even if he wanted to stay with Jason, was it practical? Jason lived in an apartment and worked in a low-paying job; just feeding the thing would be a strain on his budget. Still, all these questions could wait until another time. He curled his body around the Thing's velvety fur and drifted off to sleep to the sound of his soft snoring.
Jason awoke with a dim memory of a familiar sound which was also wrong. The clock said 2AM and the bed was empty; Blue was gone. Had he got up to visit the bathroom? But then Jason understood the half-remembered sound which had woken him: it was the sound of his apartment door closing.
Jason sat up, now fully awake. Had the Thing gone outside to relieve himself? No, he knew how to use an indoor toilet quite proficiently. Perhaps he couldn't sleep and wanted some fresh air… But Blue had been reluctant to talk about himself and what he and his fellow canids were doing here. Jason's mind raced to all the different kinds of trouble Blue might be in, although really he could only guess. But he knew one thing: he loved the strange canine and if there was any chance he could help Blue, he had to try. Perhaps the things were involved in something really awful; but Blue seemed so naive, Jason found that hard to believe. It really seemed like the young canine had fallen in with the wrong companions and was trying to correct his mistakes. In any case, Jason had to find out the truth. He hastily threw on his clothes, grabbed his phone and headed out the door.
Outside, the street was empty and quiet; The Thing was nowhere in sight. So he wasn't just out for a bit of fresh air. There was really only one place Jason could think of to start looking: the industrial lot where he had first encountered the strange creatures. He zipped up his jacket against the chill and set off at a trot.
He had warmed up by the time he found himself back at the shabby little cul-de-sac. Sodium vapour lights lit up the main road in their orange glow, but the side streets were not so brightly lit. Jason proceeded more cautiously, peering into the gloom for any sign of the alien canines. He tried to move quietly and stay in the shadows as he worked his way down the street.
Jason almost yelled in shock when a dark shape darted out from the shadows and teeth latched onto the leg of his jeans. But instead of biting him, the shape dragged him towards the dark patch beside a fence. Caught off balance, he had no option but to stumble in that direction. The teeth released his trouser leg.
“What you doing here!?", Blue hissed in his familiar raspy voice. Jason felt a surge of relief.
“Looking for you!" He whispered. “Why did you sneak out like that?"
“Sorry, things I must do. I didn't… " He gave a sad sigh, and Jason imagined his trail drooping. “Didn't want to talk about it. You should go home, forget about me."
Jason felt around in the dark until his arms wrapped around the canine.
“I'll do no such thing!" He whispered fiercely. Whatever trouble the thing was in, Jason was now convinced that he regretted his involvement and planned to make it right.
The thing gave another sigh, and Jason felt a wet tongue licking his hand.
“Glad you're here," Blue murmured at last. “But you must go back when I say, Ok?"
Jason gave him another squeeze, but didn't commit to anything else.
“The others go out soon. We got to wait until then." Blue whispered. They hunkered down in the darkness, and Jason realized that a faint breeze wafted over the buildings. Their position have a good view of the street, while being downwind of the abandoned building which led to the Things' lair.
They waited for perhaps ten minutes, although it seemed much longer. Jason was just starting to feel chilly when he saw a movement in the shadows, and two sleek canine shapes emerged from an alley and peered cautiously around before setting off up the street. After a few minutes, Blue stood up.
“OK, I think they gone. Come."
He led the way across the street and into the dark alley, which brought them to a parking lot behind the buildings. An old concrete bunker squatted at the rear of the lot, covered in creepers which reached out from a listing iron fence. It had a sturdy steel door, but the rusty padlock had been cut. The Thing nosed up the catch, and the door creaked open. The inside smelled like rats and damp concrete. When Jason activated his phone torch, the light revealed rusted steel cabinets and drooping looms of decayed cabling, left-overs from some kind of control room. Light filtered up from a flight of concrete stairs in one corner. He followed Blue down.
They reached a chamber which had once housed more machinery, but was now empty. A new power cable had been hung along the wall and connected to a naked light bulb. A rusty cabinet sat against the far wall. Blue leaned his shoulder against it, and Jason joined him. The cabinet slid to one side, to reveal a dark hole where part of the concrete wall had collapsed outwards.
“This way," said Blue, as he disappeared into the gap. Jason peered through. A pile of broken concrete and boulders led down into a natural cave. A small cave-in had broken through into the pump room, presumably some time after it had been abandoned. Jason scrambled down, then looked around. Another light bulb illuminated an ancient lava cave left behind by a prehistoric eruption. Jason had heard that they were quite common, a legacy of the region's dramatic geological past. The cave was large enough to stand upright, and it disappeared around a bend. A faint glow reflected off the dark rock of the ceiling, and a humming sound issued from somewhere ahead. The Thing trotted around the corner, and Jason followed.
The cave opened out into a larger cavern. The light revealed a plinth with what could only be some kind of control panel, its smooth face showing a collection of strange glowing symbols. The control plinth sat at the edge of a raised dais, and both were constructed from a shiny black material with the cold lustre of obsidian.
“I guess this is the gate!"
Blue nodded, and sat down on the plinth. His head was down and his stocky tail curled tightly around his haunches.
“Those others, they here because of me. I… betrayed someone. I greedy. Now I have to go home, make it right, Ok?"
Jason loved the Thing in that moment, and he knew he could forgive Blue for the foolishness of the past.
“Will you be coming back?"
Blue shook himself. “I don't know… I try, Ok?"
Jason nodded. Blue stood up with his forepaws on the plinth, and tapped a couple of symbols. The soft humming sound swelled in volume and climbed in pitch. Blue stepped back as a shimmering curtain of light rose from the dais. Jason could see swirling patterns in its depths.
“Gate won't stay open long." Blue said. “After I go through, you go home, stay away, Ok? Promise? Those others, no good."
“Ok, I promise", Jason mumbled, but his thoughts were racing in circles. How could he just let the thing go? Would he ever see him again? Nonetheless, he didn't have much choice, so he knelt down and gave Blue a tight hug before he stepped back from the shimmering curtain of light. Blue nodded his head once towards Jason, then he stood tall, raised his spiky crest in determination, and stepped in to the light.
To Jason, the canine seemed to lengthen and stretch out to infinity as the gate enveloped him. Then suddenly he was gone, and the man was alone in the cave. The gate interface was already beginning to fade, and Jason could see the far wall of the cave through the translucent surface.
Then he realised that he'd let something – someone – special go to an unknown fate. Jason had a sudden picture of his own life without the Thing, and it seemed dreary and pointless. Whatever lay beyond the gate was unknown and probably dangerous, but he'd be there with Blue. He leaped up the steps and threw himself into the gate even as the edges of the interface were drawing in towards the centre.
There was an instant of light and chaos, then Jason crashed heavily onto a floor of hard wet rock. He lay still for a moment, winded by the fall. He was aware of mist and diffuse light and a thunderous roar. He picked himself up and looked around.
He was in a cave, but not the cave he'd been in a moment earlier. This one was wet and mossy, and the light and spray came from a wall of water tumbling down in front of him. The cave was behind a waterfall! Looking around, he discovered another control plinth and gate platform identical to the one he had just left.
Jason took a step towards the falling water, and realised that he was heavy. The thing had been correct in his description; the gravity here was definitely stronger. He was on another world! He took a couple more experimental steps. It was like carrying a hiking pack – he could feel the difference, but it was OK.
But what about Blue? The waterfall pounded down onto rocks with frightening force, but there was a gap on one side where the flow was much lower. Jason braced himself for a wetting, and ducked through. Scrambling over some boulders, he emerged into pale sunlight which made him blink after the dark of the cave. He was in a narrow valley, and the stream fell away below the waterfall in a series of rapids and cataracts. The air was cool and fresh in his lungs, and the land beyond the valley rose up in cliffs and ramparts to a range of craggy peaks dusted with bright snow. He spotted a familiar canine shape disappearing over the rocky ridge at the side of the valley. He was about to yell, but something made him stop – as if he was afraid to break the silence of this lonely world. Instead, he hurried after the thing.
Jason definitely noticed the higher gravity as he hauled himself up the steep slope. He finally reached the top, and looked around while he caught his breath. The land before him undulated downwards into a broad valley, and he could see patches of forest and the glint of a larger river. Beyond the river, smoke rose from the thatched buildings of a rustic town. The buildings surrounded a fairy-tale castle, complete with towers and banners fluttering in the breeze.
Jason spotted Blue further down the valley and moving steadily in the direction of the distant castle. He hurried after the thing, moving faster now that the ground was downhill and the walking easier. The grass looked similar to Earth, except with a bluish tinge to the leaves. Ahead of him, the Thing disappeared into a patch of trees, and Jason worried that he would lose him. The trees were small and stocky, with gnarled trunks, sturdy branches and spiky dark green foliage. Jason's shoes crunched over the carpet of fallen leaves. He thought he heard something ahead – possibly the huffs and squeaks of the canine native speech. The forest became thinner.
He stumbled out onto grassland again, and stopped abruptly.
Blue sat hunched on the grass, ears down an tail tucked in. Facing him were five more of the canine things, all larger than Blue. Ornate leather armour covered their shoulders and flanks, each decorated with a bright red chevron emblem and an assortment of shiny brass badges which may have indicated rank. For armaments, they wore cruel-looking blades of curved steel strapped to their front paws, allowing them to stab and slash at an enemy.
Right now, they were bearing down on the cowering Blue. Jason could not understand their words, but he could see the menace in their faces. The nearest one stepped towards Blue with his gleaming claw-blades raised.
Without stopping to think, Jason leaped out from the last of the trees.
“Wait!", He cried as placed himself between the soldiers and Blue. They all froze, staring in amazement at the strange thing which had appeared in front of them.
