No campfires flickered in the hills that night. Yet plenty of footprints in the fresh snow. Leading off into the frigid landscape and fog.

To the lone woman, everything warm and green seemed a distant dream out here. Frost encrusted her hood and cloak and snow caught in the antler accents curling around her leather armor. Her face was pale, with vibrant eyes peeking out as needles under a snowy pine.

With a boot she wiped aside some of the powder and revealed a clear mirror of ice. Down below she could make out the sandy bottom and a forest of spiky protrusions, a few skeletal fish sailing over it. The Ice Wastes. Some said it went on forever, but it didn't need to with how easy it was to get lost and disoriented out here in the home of unceasing blizzards. If only those were the worst of the dangers, then a northern warden's presence wouldn't be required in the first place. From time to time, foul things wandered in from the cold. Rith was one of the individuals helping to hunt and destroy them.

Wind whipped at her cloak and a thick bank of fog was pouncing. Luckily the looming shape of an island came into view where it jutted up from the ice. Tossing up a grappling hook, she navigated the short but slippery climb well enough. With a huff she pulled herself up to the snowy but level terrain.

The island was heavily forested, though the trees were all skeletal with unchanging bark covered in a layer of ice.

A victim of the cold lay against a tree, half buried in white. One of the deer's antlers was missing and blood had frozen around a large gash running along its underside. Well, perhaps the cold only had a part in the creature's death. She passed it, and the unblinking blue orbs in its withered head.

Just one little problem. Usually with carcasses, the eyeballs were the first to go.

Her silver bearded axe emerged from beneath her cloak as she squared up with the thing. The carcass cracked as it levered a broken body up on two legs, forehooves replaced with bony claws. It made a sound- air moving through a hollow carcass and smelling about as expected even from across the clearing, then it pounced.

The claws came down, to which Rith sidestepped. Immediately the creature's arm cracked as it twisted around and swiped out to the side, parried by her axe. She brought it down as the creature lunged and its jaw unhinged as if to swallow her face. The lower tip of her axe she drove down into its skull and then forced it down, levering the weapon to destroy the creature's head. It went out with a struggle, flailing for a moment with a disturbing racket of cracking, chattering bones and an odd gurgling sound.

By the time the creature was burned to ashes. The feeling of being watched hadn't completely faded either, which was concerning as the day was getting late and teh weather nastier.

As luck would have it, this island was known to contain an old cabin built during warmer times in this part of the world. Luck was in her favor, as the building was still standing. Even better, all of it was. It would have been downright cozy if fixed up, too bad any residents would have to worry about undead abominations scratching at the door every so often. Inside, a long feast table and an empty fireplace were all the furnishings. Still better than what the average cave had on offer.

Rith was being watched as she made a run to chop some firewood. Her suspicion that something was observing her was correct. This time it was not something that wanted to eat her, but it was still fascinated.

A tiny, furry creature clad in a cloak of leaves, out from which his vulpine snout extended. He was covered in similarly foxlike orange fur, with a mask of black covering his face. Sharp, golden eyes watched the woman as she shed her cloak to bundle up the collected firewood. In particular, the wide set of hips and curvaceous backside swelling out in the leather pants. Red hair was tied in a braid behind her head, and a blush in her cheeks from the cold.

She hiked back to the cabin and then after dumping the firewood inside, she proceeded to take a knife and carve a series of runes on the posts of the cabin's porch. Once she had finished, the Fox Gnoll shed his cloak and scampered up to the front door.

Rith had just unpacked a thickly furred sleeping bag and blanket in front of the hearth. Over the crackling of the fire, she detected a noise from outside- claws on wood. Something took a few tentative, gentle scratches at the door. With the wards in place, it would have to be a natural creature. But still she grabbed her axe and prepared herself for combat.

But upon flinging open the door, she only found a small, skinny fox sitting at the threshold. Maybe the runt of his litter? He crouched, disguising his bipedal nature. Fuzzy face and large eyes- she had no defense against those. He added a shiver just to seal the deal.

"Hm? Well hello there. You're far too cute to be out in this evil place," She said in a bemused tone as she reached down to pet him. He wagged his bushy tail in return. Then trotted inside as she held the door open.

Dinner consisted of cheese and dried meat, which the fox happily chewed on. Though he kept one eye on her as she stripped off her armor, down to her underwear. She slipped a leg into the bag, then turned toward the fox.

"Alright, I guess we can share heat. Get in here,"

He didn't need to be told twice, zipping inside the bag on command. She curled up, hugging him to her chest. He was certainly warm, resting well between the soft mounds. Fingers massaged the soft fuzzy fur on his back. As sleep approached, she curled herself further and her nose pressed into his fur. That way, the pheromones could begin to do their work.

Warmth intensified, spreading throughout her from within as if she had a fever. It caused her sleep to become restless, tossing and turning. Until finally she rolled over on her back and opened her eyes.

The Fox Gnoll was staring right back, his tail wagging. Her bra had already come unhooked and she removed it entirely. A cold nose pressed in between her breasts. His tongue touched one of her nipples then began to massage warm waves into her chest. Her lips parted silently at the sensation. At times he paused, letting his tongue rest plastered against her flesh a moment. Gently he pinched each of her nipples and massaged them between his fingers.

Some confusion came to her face at that, as she had thought him to be a normal fox. But she was lost in the haze of the pheromones. He knew exactly what he was doing, expertly draining the look of a warrior out of her face until she was biting her lower lip and fighting back whimpers. The sharp eyes became blunted. The Fox Gnoll's fuzzy face didn't do justice to the skill with which he was softening her mind.

Whipping the blanket off them, she bundled them up behind her then slid her underwear down. Arms folded behind her head, she lay back on the makeshift pillow, head lolling back and breasts propped up toward the ceiling. She folded and spread her legs wide. The big, deadly huntress was offering her body to the small, plucky creature. Fierce and capable in combat, with keen senses. He was already oozing onto her stomach with excitement. Her womb would be the perfect place to plant a large litter of his little mutts. The Fox Gnolls may have been small in stature, but their blend of pheromones could get any female horizontal in the end.

Their cocks were plump, ribbed and able to swell up to just the right size to satisfy a wide array of female species. A double-headed knot inflated to either side of his cock's base. He stood between her legs and his claws dug in in preparation. He began to thrust slowly at first, picking up speed as he probed further into the wet warmth of a fertile female. His arms outstretched to hug each of her thighs as he began slapping against her flesh, the slippery knot passing in and out bringing waves of ecstasy each time it squished in or popped back out.

In Rith's hazy mind, it was all a wet dream. One that she rode out, gasping and moaning as he thrusted and steadily massaged her loins with an odd yet wonderful touch. His unusual cock made her writhe, while all he had to focus on was simple thrusting. The priority for him was mating, while she was at least able to enjoy the ride.

They both came at once, as his balls unloaded several potent spurts into her. He remained buried in her as he curled up on her lap, his knot holding them together and releasing more of his seed throughout the night. When Rith awoke the next morning, he was nowhere to be seen. She questioned the whole thing, still only half believing her memories.

The road back home to her nice rural cottage took only a month but by the time it was finished, it was impossible to deny what was going on.

Her breasts did not grow much larger, but they were now sagging and heavy with milk. No longer did the pointy mounds stand firm once free, they instead drooped heavily. Her stomach was no longer flat, having gained a few handfuls of soft chub. She had little Fox Gnolls squirming in her womb. It looked like she would have to take maternity leave from the warden's guild.

That little two faced rat! She couldn't believe he had pulled that off. Thankfully, the Fox Gnoll pups were quite easy to deliver. She popped them out with only mild discomfort. Pulling the blankets aside, she found six little Fox Gnolls in her bed. As cross as she was with their father, she couldn't help thinking they were adorable little things. Immediately she scooped up two of them to begin nursing the litter. It was a relief to finally calm the swelling in her breasts as they fulfilled their purpose.

Fox Gnolls would become well known as silent masters of stealth and trickery. It was their nature and fit well with their quirk of being able to seduce and impregnate other species.

There were many human women- adventurers and homesteaders alike, who proved to be easy targets for the horny little critters. Rith was just one of many women helping to ensure the success of the Fox Gnolls, bringing the next generation with their increased affinity for cunning.

Rith may have been a skilled warrior, but what she would really be famous for was bringing the Fox Gnolls deep into human lands. Once her pups grew up and left home, their population began to surge in such fertile breeding grounds. The Fox Gnolls were content to sit back and let the more capable humans forge ahead into new territory, taming the wilds and clearing out monsters or other threats and then breeding profusely once the bloody, dangerous work was done. Fox Gnolls quickly became the most numerous species in pretty much any region they set foot in.
