Well, now I'm in writer's block for my other story. So, I decided to do something a little appropriate for Halloween. Sorry, no yiff if you were expecting a Krystal erotica. Hope you guys enjoy this, though.

Starfox: Blue Fibers

Fox stood atop a balcony, at a hotel suite in Corneria City, prepared for this night. He knew he had to tell Krystal to leave. It was much too dangerous for her and that it had to end tonight, even if it meant losing Krystal. It tore at him in the inside to know that he had to force Krystal out of the Starfox team, but he knew that if he truly loved her, he had to do it. Fox heard the door opening from behind him, so he took a deep breath and turned around.

In the far reaches of the Lylat System, the former Starfox team was packing up to go their separate ways. Falco had just come back after tending to personal matters as he joined with the rest of the crew, preparing to clean his flight suit before leaving. Slippy had been working on the Great Fox before going back to Aquas to meet Amanda again, though it seemed he was just stalling before saying his final goodbyes to his former crew members. Peppy was just waiting to bid farewell as he was off to fill a request made by his good friend, General Pepper. It wasn't long until Krystal came aboard the Great Fox. Everyone had their heads lowered as if they knew about Fox's decision to remove her from Starfox.

"So, Krystal, how are you?" Peppy had said, deciding to take initiative to ask.

"I'm doing quite well, Peppy," she said, chipper than what was expected from everyone on the ship. "What about the rest of you?"

Falco kept to himself while Slippy was working on a console. "Good, we're good...and you, Krystal?" Slippy let out nervously.

"I think I just told you I'm doing fine," Krystal remarked. "Is something the matter, Slippy?"

"It's nothing; just...well...did you see Fox today?" Slippy asked, trying to ease into it.

Krystal hesitated for a second, but continued, "Well, I was supposed to meet him at Corneria City, but he didn't show up." She informed them." I waited for an hour and came back to see if he was here. Have you guys seen him?"

The rest of the former team members stood there silently, remembering how Fox had just told each of them at separate instances that he was concerned of Krystal's safety, and that he needed to remove her from the team, all of which agreed. "I'm sorry Krystal, but we haven't seen him since he left to meet you," Peppy answered. "I'll call him sometime later, ok?"

Krystal smiled and nodded, then left to her room while Slippy and Peppy looked at each other in surprise. "What do you think, Peppy?"

"What?" Peppy said perplexed at Slippy. "What do you mean?"

"Like, did Fox decide not to tell Krystal, or is Krystal masking her feelings?" The two froze, looking towards the hallway as they heard loud slam echoing along with a power failure throughout the entire building. "Oh boy."

"Hey, Slip; why don't you check to see what's going on." Peppy finally spoke. Slippy was reluctant, freaked out at the darkness of the ship. He wasn't a complete wimp, but all he had to venture through was a small penlight; much too small and emits light better if focused on an object for repair. In such a situation, it was useless, but he decided to follow through.

Feeling around, he opened door after door, usually going into storage and empty cabins. Though he would be able to maneuver through with no problem by habit, the darkness of the ship made it impossible, being so far from their star, Lylat, making it almost pitch black. As he moved deeper and deeper into the hallway, he saw a blue glow coming from one room. When he opened it, he saw Krystal nude safe for her panties in the laundry room, holding her luminescent staff for lighting.

"WOAH!!! I uh...I mean, oh boy..." Slippy panicked at this revelation. Krystal stared like an animal caught in headlights.

"Uh, Slippy, what are you doing," Krystal inquired, calm despite her exposure.

Slippy turned his head and closed his eyes, ashamed at gawking at her. "I'm sorry, I was just looking for the generator room, and it was glowing in here, and I...I..." Slippy babbled.

"Hey, it's ok Slippy," Krystal assured him. "Did you say you needed to go to the generator room?" Slippy nodded his head, still keeping his eyes closed. "Let me put my suit in first and we'll use my staff to get there." She tugged her suit into the washer and walked towards Slippy, putting her arm around him as they walked into the hallway.

Slippy still kept his eyes closed, despite Krystal's permission to open them. "Slippy, I'm sorry if I'm making you uncomfortable."

"It's ok, I just don't want to make you uncomfortable," Slippy meekly told her. "Besides, it would be weird since I'm engaged with Amanda."

"Well, I don't remember where the generator room is, so please, do open your eyes. I'm not uncomfortable at all," she told Slippy. He then slowly opens them, seeing Krystal smiling down at him. Occasionally he peeked at Krystal. Though about to marry the girl he loved, he couldn't help but stare at her from time to time. She was beautiful, after all, as her mammalian curvature was quite irresistible.

Slippy recognized the area they were in and knew that the generator room was just three doors ahead. He turned on the emergency lighting that gave the area about half its typical luminosity. "Thanks Krystal, I can take it from here," he told her breasts, as oppose to her. Not in the least bit disgusted, Krystal smiled and kissed him on the forehead. Slippy blushed and walked across the bridge connecting to the generator. Slightly afraid of heights, he looked down occasionally, seeing some of the cargo and supplies below him.

Getting to the generator, he opened up the system compartment, seeing that some wiring had been burnt by some kind of laser, not damaging enough, however, to render it un-repairable, though he would have to go to the nearest planet for replacement supplies. After looking around at the extent of the damage, he figured he had to go back to talk to Peppy about it as something like this must have been done by some kind of intruder on board. He got some connectors in his tool-belt and screwed it in between the broken wires present. Suddenly, a loud thud was heard which startled Slippy. Looking back, he saw nothing, save for now after a moment of pondering, the lights came back on. He scanned the place, seeing what was around, and then looked back at the compartment. Everything seemed to be in order, and he decided to rush out, not liking the idea of that loud thud he heard earlier. As he walked across the bridge, his mind kept rationalizing towards it being some kind of sound of the ship's power coming back on. The cables; maybe something else, but not an intruder. Then, nearing the end the bridge collapsed, causing Slippy to fall and land on a shelf with one of the poles piercing into his stomach and falling over. A blood curdling scream was released as he felt the pole pushing against the side of his gash. He desperately tried to pull himself out of the pole, thinking he get out of this, thinking that it wasn't fatal. Little did he know a couple of his organs were hanging out of his back. As his vision darkened, he looked up to see what made the couple of faint steps to inspect his condition, but only able to make out a blue figure until he gave in to death.

Peppy saw the lights coming on as he was in the middle of the hallway. Knowing the ship better than the rest of the crew, he felt his way for his room, only three doors away from him. He opened his room and put a couple bags of his office supplies next to the rest of his bags. Peppy thought about his last visit with the former General Pepper, the day he asked Peppy to take his place as the Cornerian Army's leading general. At first he didn't want to. He didn't want to think about how he would be "inheriting" the position. Those Aparoids must have shave twenty years of his life, he often thought to himself, worrying about his health.

He then heard a couple of knocks coming from his door. "Come in," he premised, and Krystal came in, wearing a simple tank top and jeans. "Oh, Krystal, how are you?"

"I'm ok," said Krystal, a little shaken up. "How about you?

"Ok, I guess. Just reminiscing in old memories," Peppy told her. "When you're as old as I am, you'll tend to do that a lot."

Krystal giggled at his joke. "Yeah, well, it seems as I'm getting as old as you are," she said as she took a seat on the bed.

"Why, what's the matter?" Peppy asked her.

"I guess I'm thinking back at the time you guys had me join Starfox. How everyone welcomed me with open arms and how you were fascinated with my culture," she continued. "I just find myself missing those days, especially now that the team is splitting apart." A sigh was released after admitting that to Peppy. "I just miss those days."

"Come now, Krystal, you're still a young girl," Peppy told her. "You have your whole life ahead of you to make even better memories than those." He patted her on the shoulder, and Krystal got up to hug him.

"Thank you, Peppy. You're like the father I missed so much, and I will miss you." A tear landed on Peppy's shoulder, which he sympathized after her. He felt guilty for the negative thoughts he has had of her in the past; about her lack of piloting skills, her peculiar practices, and her outgoing, liberal nature as everyone else were a little more refined.

"I'll miss you, too, Krystal," Peppy said, and with that Krystal walked up to the door and left with a smile on her face, with Peppy going back to looking over his luggage. Krystal had just placed hand on the door until she paused. She had forgotten where her staff was, and right when she needed it most.

Krystal looked back at Peppy, remembering what the nature of his thoughts were; guilt towards her, as if he was guilty for doing something to her, and she knew exactly what it was that he did. She then just remembered where her staff could be, and she had to get it as soon as possible.

Falco was inspecting Slippy's body; blood was everywhere as he can see what was probably his stomach and intestines. What a grimly sight and Falco almost through up at both the sight and smell his body was emitting, which smelt of rusting copper. He heard the door open from behind, but couldn't see who it was. His suspicion grew of who could have done this, however, and he had to be sure he was right.

Falco ran out to head for Peppy's room as fast as he could. He was about three floors away, so getting there in time would have proved to be almost impossible, but he had to try. He skipped the elevators, knowing they'd be as slow as ever and instead darted for the stairs. Scrambling up, Falco stumbled almost tripping and falling down. Falco was just about to get out until he felt his body giving out as he pushed himself so hard to make it to Peppy.

He entered the hallway exhausted, out of focus, he tried his best to find Peppy's door. "Peppy! Peppy, where are you!" Falco screamed out. "PEPPY!!!" There was no answer, and Falco was worried if he was too late. About four tries led to the wrong room, and he was running out of time until finally, he found Peppy...

"Oh no..." Falco found Peppy's head caved in with blood everywhere. At the end of the room was Krystal, covered in blood as well and holding her staff. She was feral looking with a crazed, angry look on her face. "You! How could you, you bitch!"

"What are you talking about, Falco," she responded coldly. "You think this is all my fault?"

"Two people dead and I see you at the scene of the second crime. Call me crazy." Falco spat towards her. "I can only imagine what you did to Fox when he broke the news to you."

"So, you knew, huh?" Krystal said with a smirk. "I'll bet you're the one that suggested he leave." Falco felt stupid for admitting what he just knew. "Better yet, you said it was between you or me, and sadly he picked his best friend over the girl he supposedly loved."

"Maybe that is the case, but it was for his own good. You're crazy! You did whatever it took to stay in this team, even if it meant putting your life in danger, and you did a lot of that, causing Fox to save your ass whenever some amateur flier was on your tail." Falco's hand was motioning for his laser, ready to shoot. "If only if Fox left you in that rock in Sauria."

"You're still not addressing the issue, Falco," Krystal told him. "Fox was so torn when he found out Peppy was going to leave for Corneria. He was like a father to him. Slippy was also getting married; something that made Fox slightly jealous and you couldn't stand that fact that Fox was showing more of his feelings towards me."

"What are you talking about?" Falco was perplexed at her line of questioning.

"You wanted Fox all for yourself, and you couldn't lose your best friend, so you pressured him. You made him choose. What kind of friend are you?" Krystal could see it was getting to him, and she wanted to add more into his guilt. "Maybe it was you who's to blame for Peppy and Slippy. If anything, maybe you're the one who broke the bridge and made Slippy fall to his death. Maybe you smashed Peppy's face in, and maybe you're the one who killed Fo..." Falco didn't want to hear anymore, and shot Krystal in the head, killing her instantly.

Falco was limp for the moment, but made his way out of Peppy's room. He had to call the authorities, report what has happened. Through the hallway, he maneuvered his way into the ship's bridge, where he met Bill from the Cornerian Army, along with other officers.

"Huh? What are you guys doing here?" Falco asked them.

"Mr. Lombardi? You're under arrest for the murder of Fox McCloud," said one of the officers aside Bill.

Falco was confused at what the officer was addressing. "What?! I didn't kill..."

"Don't try that, Lombardi. We found a few blue fibers at the crime scene. They match you're DNA," Bill told him. Such was news to Falco. "Not such a great defense for someone with a record."

"No, no, I didn't kill him! I swear I didn't!" Falco didn't believe it. He knew he didn't go near Fox at all today it must have been Krystal. She must have framed him.

"Fox was a good friend of mine, and when this is all over, I'm going to enjoy watching you rot in prison, you traitorous filth," Bill disgustedly said.

The officers cuffed Falco and were pulling him off, Falco struggling to get out. "No, it wasn't me, it was Krystal! It wasn't me! Get me out of this, now!"
