Day 29) Nightmare
#29 of Voretober
Pitch black, a deep darkness that seeps through every corner of the room. Light seemingly consumed within the fluttering eyes of a tired Pizza. Wings folded into his back. The tiger's head comfortably laid down on the pillow.
Another boring, peaceful night. Another night of rest without interruption. However this wasn't like every other night. The tiger heard what sounded like hooves.
Trott
Trott
Trott
Trott...
'What the hell is that!?' his inner consciousness screamed at him to open his eyes and make sure he was hearing what he was hearing. However, his body felt heavy, like someone had tied heavy chains around his body. His head wearily hoisted to see nothing in the fluttering pockets of darkness.
Huff
Haa
Huff
Haaa
Huff...
"'Is something...breathing?" The tiger's weary mind bursting with thought that began to peel his heavy eyes open. A dark yellow hue in the far distance. He couldn't quite make out what it was. It was glowing brightly. Amongst the pitch black those two sets of lights slowly grew closer.
Drip
Drop
Drip
Drop
Schlrpp...
A wetness around his feet. Like delving into a cold lake. His body shuddered yet Pizza couldn't move. The tiger still locked firmly in place. He watched in horror as the set of eyes crawled up his legs. 'This has to be a bad dream!' As the sensation was now engulfing his torso, a deep terror pounded in his mind. Regardless, Pizza couldn't move an inch. His upper chest would be encased in this wet sensation, the tight, encompassing sensation. The tiger tightly shut his eyes firmly hoping his eyes would open to his ordinary bedroom. His body was completely encased in the wetness. The pitch black darkness greeted the tiger as his eyes shot open. His body was sliding down something long and tight.
Compact, crushing, stinging, the tiger's body was surrounded by a circular wall of...flesh? Pizza couldn't quite make heads or tails of where he was or what was happening. Perhaps this lucid dream was just that...a really bad lucid dream. Yeah, a really bad dream. The stinging grew more painful, it ran through his body. Pizza couldn't deny it anymore he was digesting! He was inside something! Panic bolted through his once paralyzed body. His fist clashed with darkness. His legs thrashed back and forth.
NNnnneigh ~
'WHAT THE FUCK!?' His mind filled with more questions than answers as that ethereal sound rolled through his mind. Surely the tiger would've smelled the horse. Surely he would not have become food to a meager horse. Certainly not, it couldn't be. Yet the agonizing walls begged to differ. Well, the tiger was half right, it certainly sounded like a horse but something wasn't right. It was more like an imitation or a mockery. Distracted thoughts would bubble down along with the tiger's figure.
It didn't take much longer, Pizza had become pudge to the creature in the darkness before it lumbered off with a new layer of heft.
