The Tentative Housemates chapter 2
Chapter 2
Walking down the stairs I followed. Walking through the living room into the open dining room. The plates before had been filled with delicate pastries. Some simple cookies with a light powder sugar dusting. To finger cakes with beautiful frosting designs with strawberry slices on top.
Drophin was walking out of the kitchen with a teapot that had a slight steam emanating from the spout. She set it down on a white doiley in the center of the table. These girls had a perfect sense of decorum with both manners and style.
Taking my chair I pulled it out and sat down at the table. The chair to my absolute surprise made no sound as my heavy frame settled in. A slight smile was brought to my face as most places I visit do little to accommodate a mammal of my stature. I glanced over at my two hostesses. They seemed to appreciate my smile aswell. The pair then took thier own places, with Prisiuos lifting up the teapot and pouring cups of tea for us.
The tea smelled quite lovely as I lift the cup to take a sip.
Succulent and floral the tea was delicious as was the finger cake that picked to go along with it.
"So joesphvine, you'll be here for the weekend, and while your here your free to do as you please. However we do have an itinerary that you can take advantage of while you stay with us."
I looked over to Drophin.
"What kind of things are on it?" I responded
"Well, starting tomorrow, myself and Prisiuos go out for a morning hike to some of the ridges over looking the valley that rests toward the bottom of these hills. Then later we have lunch and afternoon tea and have simple discussions. Later we have a yoga routine followed by Prisiuos doing her.. um.. much more intense work outs while I go inside and start preparing dinner. In the evenings after dinner we will sit in the living area where we have the TV with movies and shows. I also forgot to mention that we have a plethora of parlor games to choose from."
Prisiuos slightly rolled her eyes and added
"Board games, we have board games"
Drophin smacked her slightly.
"It sounds better if we say parlor games."
I chuckled slightly at there antics. They must be close friends.
They looked over at me.
"I'm sorry, I did not mean to laugh." A deep blush came over me.
"There's no need to apologize hun." Prisiuos said to me.
"This wolf here is always focusing on making this place special for everyone, even if it means pulling out a thesaurus every now and then."
It was drophins turn to blush. But not out of embarrassment.
"Well, what's wrong with always trying your best to give our guests the best experience."
"Carefull with the double entendres" Prisious chuckled
Drophins blush has now reached embarrassment.
Drophin then cleared her throat and continued.
"Well yes we have do have "board games" aswell"
Prisious leaned over and placed her paw over mine. "Don't think this is also a set schedule though, we are open to any ideas and plans that you might come up with or if thier any rituals that you perform yourself"
I looked up from her paw on top of mine to her eyes staring at me. Warmth filled my chest once again.
"Yes I...um yes thank you" I stammered as my heart was racing.
These girls are quite beautiful.
