Ascending.

This is a short story about an alternate version of my sona Erin in which he's titled a 'God-King', where an avian wants to ascend to a demi-god who has to go and meet him. Enjoy!

A young avian's steps fell upon golden, holy ground. A new demi-god, a new face, a new name to these heavenly quarters. The young man's name was Zaytus, A white, anthropomorphic crow. Wearing a long-sleeved, silky, black robe, laced with gold and cut at the sides of the legs for more freedom of movement. his fur was a dark grey. Eyes rose red with a slight glow.

The avian's build was that of lean muscle, tight and secure, showing strength but nimbleness, nothing in comparison to some of the gods he had heard of, but enough to gain respect for who he was, and who he would become. With arms by his side, he walked forward to a set of upward-spiraling stairs and began the climb. Thoughts rushed through his head of what he would eventually meet, though he had a slight idea...

He was a new demi-god, ascended from a man after being seen worthy enough of the privilege of being a deity. This was by a small amount of luck, Being noticed from his efforts and deeds by a deity themselves. but although this luck had its play in his new fate, The majority of this opportunity was formed by his blood, sweat, and tears, continuous training, and continuous guidance from his comrades to help him improve, pushing him further and further to now have this joyous but nerve-wracking moment of finally meeting a God-King, and being sworn into his position. He had been ascended by one of the 9 gods but needed to meet their King in order to make it official.

So many emotions went through his chest, and so many thoughts ran through his head, He had sworn he had the discipline to perhaps quell this inner turmoil... but he just let it be. for now, he saw it as natural, since he had been waiting so long for this. As long as he kept his physical composure, what was happening inside would not matter... clawed feet clicked and clacked at each step, anticipation rising as after quite a long time up this spiraling, tall staircase, his climb allowed him to reach the top. He took a moment to look at his surroundings, seeming to be at the top of some kind of watchtower, gold-laced with beautiful architecture and craftsmanship. He gulped, attempting to keep his cool the closer he got to his goal.

Looking straight ahead of the staircase, the man would find a figure, casually looking at him, with a full white robe. A grey-furred male sloth, with his hood down, spoke up in a deep tone. "Ah, you. Assuming you haven't lost yourself, I believe you are here to meet the God-King of this heaven and be sworn into your position, yes?"

The Avian shivered, fur standing on end before he closed his eyes, concentrating and silencing his nerves for just a moment to speak. "Yes." the crow answered, Approaching the desk at which the figure stood behind.

"Forgive me for asking but... Is it true there is more than just one heaven? The god that sent me told me it was one of the many... would you mind giving me more information on this?" Zaytus questioned, awaiting an answer as he heard a slight chuckle from the deep-voiced male in front of him with a slightly dull gaze in his eyes.

"Ever so curious you new ascended are, Knowing so much but so little." The cloaked man levitated a book from underneath the desk and dropped it nonchalantly on its wooden surface. Opening it to a specific page facing the avian for viewing, the crow curiously leaned to peek at it, while the sloth gave a description." there are 4 heavens in this galaxy. Each in its own 4 corners. Each belonging to its respective God-King. Astrius, Ereyus, Ulnar, and Vorkas are the heavens' names. You are in the 3rd, Belonging to God-King Erin. King over the gods of fertility, lust, and battle. They also hold the key to the library of ancients, as well as have mastery over 'Aura'. I... assume you already know which faction you will be demi-god under?"

Zaytus almost got caught up in the book but shook his head to get himself out of its trance, to answer swiftly. "Ah yes! Under the faction of battle, of course. This information is most useful... Though, of another thing I am curious. Why do God-Kings exist? And this one in particular, if you've ever met him before. What is he like? Apologies for so many inquiries, I promise this is the last!"

The sloth rolled his eyes. "I am not allowed to withhold much knowledge from an inspiring scholar, much less a demi-god, about the system of the heavens. The answer is simple, the gods above you, regardless of how high you hold them in your mind, must be ruled, as all things are in our universe. This is the purpose of the god-kings, to keep order amongst the arrogant and quite unruly manner of the gods, should they need it. Normally they can handle manners themselves and don't get too out of hand in their own self-ruled quadrant of this universe... But, everything and everyone needs a way to keep them in control. That being said, if I were to describe this heavens god-king, I would certainly say he's the more reasonable of the 4. This is quite amusing considering he's one of the more daunting and intimidating of them, at least from my perspective. You won't find much of an issue with him, he is not overly arrogant, he simply has his pride. Though most are surprised by how calm and welcoming he can be when they first meet. So there is nothing to be afraid of, you are not walking on eggshells in his presence. And he is not power-hungry. He has all that he could desire, and is less serious than most take him to be at heart, only in dark hours does his serious composure and cold manner ever come out of him. Show your due respect, do not interrupt him, and things should go smoothly." the sloth then gave a deep breath and sighed, feeling that was a mouthful he just spoke.

And yet, the Avian with ease tuned into every single word, fascinated by how much he had just learned. "That truly put to shame the textbooks I managed to get my hands on, I am ever in your debt! Uhh... what's your name?"

"Unimportant. Call me the record-keeper." The sloth waved a hand to close the book, eyes locked in a blank gaze as he turned around.

"Follow me, Zaytus." he spoke, starting to walk towards what seemed to the crow to be a gated lift. He swiftly walked directly behind the record keeper, managing his distance to ensure he did not pass any boundaries or frighten the man. Once they both reached it, and the gates opened, they stepped inside the rather large lift, and it began their ascension.

The avian's heart kept racing... He still wanted to know... what did this deity look like? What was his place of residence? What would he sound like? This was all so new to him, and then, he also had one question to ask... if the deity would even allow it. By the time all these thoughts ran through his head, a ding sounded off to show them they were at their intended location. As soon as the two men stepped off, The avian's jaw immediately dropped, the master architecture he saw in front of him was breath-taking. A long, wide, and expansive hall, with many rich, beautiful, shining ore engraved inside its base pillars that supported the ceiling. Beautifully structured windows reached up to its curved rooftop and were laced with pure gold. Ahead of this beautiful arrangement of walls, pillars, shiny ore, and pure, smooth, tiled floor was a grand door, almost 10 times the height of the Avian. He was so star-struck and amazed, that he even forgot to follow the bookkeeper into the hall. Realizing this after a few moments, he shook his head and finally exited the lift, quickly but smoothly catching up behind the robed man.

"T-this is his... residence?" Zaytus asked.

"A part of his holy kingdom, yes. We are entering his private residence, Thankfully the lift we took teleported us here instead of us having to do that dreadful walk through his entire palace to get to his doorstep. And do try to keep yourself together. Because I will be departing after letting you in." the sloth spoke, making the other man clear his throat.

"Ahem! Yes of course. I have to do this alone after all. Though I appreciate your guidance, you have been most helpful."

"Don't mention it. Seriously."

The sloth sighed as they approached the humongous doors, seemingly locked. With a small uttering of some foreign language and enchantment, the sloth waved a hand, a green aura surrounding it as the doors suddenly began to creak open, slowly but surely. The Avian's heart seemed like it would beat out of his chest, what with all the anxiety and anticipation building up inside of him. He started to walk in once there was enough space for him to slip through, the doors still opening on his entrance as he first admired the room's grandiose appearance, before looking straight ahead at a pretty blue figure ahead of him.

His eyes widened slightly, and a beet-red blush appeared on his face. In front of him, quite a ways ahead of him was a seemingly naked form laying on a gigantic velvet couch, the supposed male figure laying on his front with his body stretched across the sofa's length. His head rested on a well-sculpted forearm that was placed on one arm of the couch, the other arm dangling off of it in relaxation, some odd-numbered worshippers surrounding him. The accent of the rose-red sofa and the blue figure mixed very well. The form belonged to a wolf with lush, dark blue, beautiful fur, along with an inner, lighter blue tone along the abdomen and neck.

The being seemed to tower over others that surrounded him, tending to his form. Seemingly in the midst of... Worship? Hygienic care? The avian could not tell the difference, though he tried to drink in as much of that humongous form as he could, he most certainly towered over the avian himself, seemingly at the very least around 15 feet tall... The deity had at least five other men around him, much smaller in comparison, and all tending to different body parts of the god. two were at those massive feet that hung off the armrest of the couch opposite the wolf's arms. The soles in expanse and size seemed to dwarf at least half of the form of those that were tending to them, each erotically licking, massaging, and attempting to hold back groans as they rubbed what seemed to be a soothing, slick, and shiny oil into the grooves and plush soles of those well-sculpted feet.

Another seated man held the muscular figure's forearm, thick and dense as a tree log, seemingly massaging it along with the big hands that accompanied it.

A fourth was resting directly on the sculpted back of the deity, brushing his muscles with a soothing oil similar in look to the first two.

The final and fifth of the group was quite lewdly and shamelessly attached to the man's buttocks, face seemingly smothered in two high-hill globes of round, luscious glutes. Two arms wrapped around the mountains, leaving only the assumption to the avian that the man had his tongue buried inside of its velvety inner walls with no desire of coming up for fresh air within the next few moons, should he not be pulled away from it forcefully.

All of this had somewhat overwhelmed the poor, new demi-god, though he did his best to try and not let his wandering eyes stare too much at the man, especially since he had noticed a pair of odd-colored eyes gazing deep into his own. If this wasn't the God-King he had been waiting to see this entire time, he didn't know who would be. Eyes peeled away from the herculean form so as to not get too attached to it, and to keep away from distractions, but the odd deep and pleasurable groan from the men surrounding the deity did make the demi-god's undergarments twitch here and there.

"Ah. You must be Zaytus, the to-be-appointed demi-god of this heaven. Apologies for the... quite exposed nature in which you have caught me. There have been appointments plenty for your kind and I suppose I had lost track..." That deep, sultry voice caught the avian's attention immediately as the deity spoke.

"O-oh, no need to apologize, S-sir! Seeing your form is a great honor... I know that amongst these heavens, seeing or being exposed in our naked forms is not at all shameful, or seen as intrusive. In fact, it is a very normal thing to witness another's body. That being said, though. I assume, ahem... Of course, you're the one known as the God-King of Ulnar. Erin?" Zaytus asked nervously.

"Aye. I am he. I am not at all disturbed by your presence, It is welcome, and I would rather you not be kept waiting, bare as I may be. Now, come." The deity responded, beckoning the avian over.

"Yes Sir!" The crow responded, realizing he wasn't at all close enough for this anointing, swiftly moved to stand at least ten feet in front of the velvet sofa the God-King occupied. Giving a formal bow before standing up at attention for the next words uttered.

"Now, a question. It is made known to me that you are not a demi-god by birth, but instead, a mortal who has been chosen by showing discipline, strength, and will, worthy of the title and power of one. So if you will. Answer me this. Which is superior. A man born into demi-god or godhood. Or a man who has... as it were 'risen from the ashes' to build himself up to such a status?" Erin posed a question before beginning the ritual.

The Avian's eyes widened slightly, The question was sudden, perhaps a test? Or did he always ask a to-be-demi-god a question of his own? Zaytus did not know... but he knew it best to answer honestly, and so, after closing his eyes for a moment, collecting his thoughts and calming his racing heart. He opened them and stared off into the distance as he gave his answer.

"I believe, in all honesty... Neither. I believe that the importance of the role of superiority, whether given through birthright or achieved through some strange depths, is to put aside the arrogant mindset that either makes them better than the other. It is by that mindset that arrogance and self-superiority may settle in, making one liable to be their own downfall. And perhaps even further estrange them from those that surround them..."

Zaytus finished, looking up at the deity to see a sense of pride within the wolf's glowing eyes, which made the avian's heart beat faster and eyes widened in slight surprise, was this... approval from the God-King...?.

"I quite like that answer, it seems genuine, one from your own heart. Very well." Erin gave an approving nod.

The deity suddenly began to shift after speaking, The other men surrounding and tending to the massive canine slowly shifted and started to part each from their respective point of care, some even longingly, especially those at his feet and rear. He calmed them down with a chuckle, speaking in that deep voice of his.

"Come come now. No need to fret, a moment is all I need, and we may resume." to which some of the servants flushed and nodded obediently.

Erin shifted into a seated position. Beginning to stand up in his bare, naked glory. A girthy, flaccid member akin to the size of a tree trunk nestled between his smooth but herculean legs sat on top of a pair of nuts that put wrecking balls to shame, the incredible size worthy of someone who is a god of fertility.

He bothered not to put clothes on and simply brought a hand out to his right. Summoning forth a sentient suit of armor almost the same height as him, it got to its knees and prostrated itself, holding out a silver sheathe with what seemed to be a grand sword hilted inside of it with a glowing blue diamond embedded in its grip.

During this time, Zaytus took the moments he had to take in more of the wolf's glorious form. The man's bosom was like two mountains firmly attached to his chest, overhanging with obsidian nipples, meaty and thick, the twin mounds casting a firm shadow over the sculpted six-pack that belonged to the giant mass of a canine. Wide and tight obliques ran down into curved, girthy but muscular hips. Strong, tree-trunk thick thighs dense and bulky were surprisingly relaxed and looked smooth to the touch, transitioning down into bulky calves and strong ankles along with meaty, firm feet.

The arms were similar in herculean structure as those broad shoulders, bulky, titanic biceps, and thick forearms were naked to the eye. The entire mass seemed so heavy and strong, but with a perfect touch of fat to each curve and groove, giving it its beefy and plump, satisfyingly soft look to each muscle.

Zaytus found himself almost tranced but shook out of it once the wolf god took hold of the heavy sheathe his servant had offered. Gripping it tightly, with another hand he unsheathed the greatsword and approached the Avian, who immediately got to one knee to bow before the God-King, slightly nervous, and almost shaking.

After a long delay, The God-King hmmed and brought the sword up, lifting the refined, sharp, heavenly steel to one shoulder of the crow's.

"I now deem you, Zaytus-" he started to speak, lifting the sword to the other shoulder of the avian's. "- Demi-god of the seventh heaven of Ulnar."

The Avian could almost leap with joy at the utterance but remained calm. The canine lifted the sword and sheathed it back in, And with that noise, up went Zaytus' head, gazing up the grandiose view of those humongous pecs that nearly obscured the vision of that handsome, chiseled face and glorious, smiling eyes of the high deity.

Suddenly, a shock went through the Avian's body and a loud shout echoed from his throat, with a shiver, he suddenly threw his head back as his eyes widened, feeling their glow enhance, and his vision seemingly increases along with it, sharper, more fine-tuned to its surroundings, and a seemingly increased surge of power run through his veins, His lean, muscular form even gaining bulging veins that appeared along the surface. The reaction did not surprise the wolf standing before the avian, Looking as calm as ever.

After a moment to recollect himself, panting slightly, the avian raised his hands up to look at them, before looking back to the deity with a big smile. "Thank you... Sir." he said before getting up from his knees shakily and bowing once more, still attempting to gain control over his newly enhanced body.

The towering deity nodded, and he turned to walk away, those mountainous curves of beautifully blue muscle and tight but rounded, heavy glutes being shown to the Avian without shame before he suddenly spoke up as Erin started to stomp away.

"B-before you go, err... Before I leave, If I may be allowed a question back...?" The avian dared. To which Erin did not turn, but shifted his neck to look back.

"You may."

With that response came relief to Zaytus, and he sighed in contentment, gathering his thoughts.

"How is a King amongst gods appointed?" Zaytus knew this question was sudden, especially due to it not having anything to do with the situation at hand but was only brought up due to the Avian's curiosity, but he couldn't help himself. He was ever a knowledge seeker and desired only to know more about the state of affairs within the heavens.

Erin smiled at this question, and those eyes closed before responding.

"Contrary to what most would believe, We are not anointed by power or pure strength. Even I myself am not an overwhelmingly amount stronger than one of the gods I rule. Perhaps one could say I am, by 'enough'. But if more than two were to band against me, I would surely fall. As is the same for the other God-Kings. We are given this title not by our ability to bend gods to our will, but by their own willful allegiance to us. Their own willingness to surrender their loyalty, faith, and worship to one they deem worthy. A true King does not rule by tyrannic means. We are anointed and brought up by all 9 gods deeming us worthy. Allowing themselves to be governed for the better interest of all, even those that one would deem more stubborn believe it is for the best, and to that end, they give themselves to our rule. Strength and power do not play the role of becoming our title as much as trustworthiness, loyalty, fairness, and discipline, do. Other factors do come in, but those are the most prominent. I hope this answers your question in a satisfactory manner."

Erin smiled and looked back at the seemingly amazed Avian, a smile being given back with a nod.

"Very much so, Sir. Thank you."

Erin turned his head back towards his velvety couch, and 5 lustful, awaiting worshippers and caretakers, to which he began a slow walk, every stomp audible as he reached the comfortable sofa and resumed his position from before. Zaytus himself, smile still across his face, turned around and began walking away towards the same set of doors he met just moments ago at his first arrival. They were still slightly cracked open, and he walked past them, realizing the bookkeeper from before was long gone.

The avian took a moment to reminisce about his new knowledge, and new status, before a single blink and a turn of his head to look back surprisingly led him to see not the grand door he had exited, but a staircase similar to the one he first walked. He simply smiled and closed his eyes before turning away, spreading his wings to soar into flight.

End.
