I kept having these thoughts but I pressed on, searching the island for something, my gut had a feeling. There couldn't just be two groups of cats on this side of the island, there must be more. After a bit of searching, I decided to head back to the shrine to see if I could get any leads. Luckily I did, else I would have been running around in circles for a while.

When I got to the shrine, I decided to examine every nook and cranny of the area. If there was something I missed, it was probably in a shady spot or something of the sort. I noticed after walking to the back that there was some writing on the back covered up by some moss and vines. After sharpening some of the wood I gathered, I was able to cut away at the vines and shave off the moss, revealing the text.
