Devotion
#1 of Devotion (Series)
It can be difficult to adapt to a life of freedom after being in the clutches of a powerful demon ( FruitOfTheDoom ) for so long. Max_Howler thinks he has a better way to stave off the old craving, though.
A gift story!
The evil had been defeated. The world was saved.
Parades filled the streets, and the people rejoiced. Even the farthest corners of the corrupted badlands were free from the demon's influence.
Even Max.
Max was a slave, before. He remembered when the statue in the town square bore the vile face of their immortal lord, and not the charming visage of the blue-furred hero that had vanquished him.
He remembered his time, as a slave. Most said they did not, but he suspected they were lying. Ashamed of their actions while under the influence of their lord's corruption, and eager to take any excuse to deny them.
When the paladins came to his door, Max told them the truth. He remembered all of it. Every depraved act, every act of submission, every prayer offered in worship. They gave him a holy symbol and suggested he come to the new chapel for counseling.
He'd even gone, a few times. But they couldn't offer him what he really needed.
"Good evenin', Max." The guard called as he went by. "Where are you off to so late?"
"Counseling, at the chapel." He replied.
"Ah. Gods be with you, then."
He trudged quietly through the streets, holding the straps of his pack and keeping his head low. The city was covered in holy imagery now, nearly every tavern proudly displaying symbols of purity on their signs.
Marketing, Max presumed. Trying to re-brand the black heart of the demon's empire into a city of faith.
Pathetic, he thought to himself.
He turned into a narrow alleyway and quietly slipped through the rusted bars leading to the city's underway.
The city was so bustling with paladins and other holy men, the cistern of the old city was the only place Max could go to scratch his dark itch.
He sat on the cold stone, lit a candle, and opened his pack.
The story of the demon's defeat was told everywhere, but not with proper details.
Max was resourceful. He'd listened carefully to every version of the heroic tale, and pieced together everything he needed to know from their half-truths. He read as much as he could find about demons and hunting them, and in the weeks and months since the defeat of the demon lord, had finally narrowed down exactly how he had been destroyed.
..and that, in fact, "destroyed" was the wrong word. "Banished" was more accurate. The hero who slayed him used a sword, enchanted by a powerful cleric, to sever the demon's connections to this world. With nothing to anchor him here, he was banished to the abyss, unable to return.
Max lit another candle, placing his first one carefully on the stone and reaching for another from his pack.
One after another, lighting the candles, placing them with the quiet diligence of a devoted servant.
Then came the chalk. Max took his time. He drew the lines patiently, making sure to make no mistakes. Each candle received bold, straight lines, in a delicate web.
He checked the book again, his breath beginning to quicken as he continued.
Tonight was the night. He'd feel his Master's hold once more. The influence, the control that he felt so naked without.
The bones, next. Max bit his lip, checking and double checking to ensure they were placed just right.
Finally. The incantation.
Max took a deep breath, stepping cautiously out of the circle and ensuring each of the candles was still burning brightly.
"Alkario." He whispered, and then cleared his throat as his body shivered involuntarily.
"Alkario, hear my words, and see my guiding flame." He began, speaking aloud. He silently hoped that his words weren't echoing through the city's underway, and, just a little, that they were.
"Alkario, center your gaze upon my flame, and follow my words of summoning. Let them lead you to this realm that you might appear before me and do my will." He read.
He watched the circle cautiously, studying it for any change.
Then, he began again.
"Alkario, hear my words, and see my guiding flame. Alkario, center your gaze upon my flame, and follow my words of summoning. Let them-"
His breath hitched as a faint red glow began to emanate from the chalk circle.
"L-Let them lead you this realm that you might appear before me and do my will. Alkario, hear my words-"
The circle flashed brightly, the chalk now burning red, ethereal flames licking up from the other world, casting the dark cistern in a haunting red glow.
"-and see my guiding flame, Alkario, center your gaze upon my flame and follow my words of summoning, let them lead you to this realm that you might-"
Cracks of crimson light scattered over the circle before it erupted, the candles flaring up to illuminate the cistern in a flash of light, and causing Max's words to catch in this throat.
Then, as quickly as they'd come, the flames sank down into little light, flickering darkly in the dim stone chamber.
Max stared, in awe, at the form hovering above the circle. A sinister form, wreathed in shadow, but still distinguishable as the form of his lord. His Master.
His breath caught as he saw the demon's face. His hateful red eyes.
Max let the book fall from his fingers and he stepped forward.
"Alkario." He whispered.
The demon remained silent, glaring down at him.
"I... You... may not remember me, Master, but-"
The demon's expression faltered, changing slowly into one of surprise, and... interest.
"...I was... one of your most faithful." He finished.
"Release me." The demon growled.
"O-Of course! Master- Master Alkario, I release you." He said.
In and instant, the demon's shadowy form came forward, wrapping a clawed hand around Max's soft neck. Max simply relaxed and held still, looking submissively at the floor as his heartbeat thumped loudly in his chest.
"You speak the truth." The demon purred, releasing his neck. "Good. Good slave."
"Thank you, Master." Max whispered, his heart rate only quickening as he heard his old, familiar title.
"So, you've returned me to your mortal realm. Good slave. But I'm afraid I will not be acting out your mortal whims." The demon announced, floating around him like a wisp of smoke, his glowing red eyes burning into the back of Max's head as he drifted out of view.
"I- I would never impose my bidding upon you, Master." Max spoke. "I... I only wish... only... need... to feel you, again."
The demon's sharp laugh echoed around the stone chamber, and the shadowy form appeared in front of him once more.
"Of course, slave. You felt... empty, without your Master's corruption within you." The demon growled.
"So empty." Max whispered.
"You missed the hold I had over you. You simply couldn't live without it." The demon's smile curled almost to his shadowy ears. "So you brought me back."
"Yes, Master." Max said. "To surrender to you."
"Gooooood slave." The demon purred, placing two shadowy hands on his shoulders. "Now... stare."
The demon's bright red eyes flashed, and began to swirl in a brilliant, corruptive spiral.
It was like returning to a familiar habit. The moment he felt the pull of those beautiful eyes, the second he felt his consciousness slipping, he sank eagerly into the feeling. His body relaxed as it filled with his old Master's influence, and he could only distantly feel his tail wagging as drool began to run down his chin and his eyes began to glow with the same beautiful perfection that his Master's did.
"Gooooood. Not a hint of resistance within you. You've done very well, slave. Very well." His Master whispered, leaning closer and getting a pleased whine from his drooling pup.
"Mas...ter..." He mumbled the only word he could think of, the only word repeating in his mind.
He felt the fingers of his Master's influence, slowly securing their familiar hold over him.
He felt whole. For the first time since that day so long ago, he felt like himself again. His true self. His better self.
And then, all at once, his Master's grip closed. He felt his whole body tighten as he slipped completely under the demon's control, his own willpower not only circumvented but entirely forgotten, replaced.
"Goooood..." The demon purred. "You've done very well, slave. You've served me just as a slave should. And I have a reward for you."
"A reward..." He mumbled. "I am... unworthy, Master."
"You are correct, slave." Master said with a grin. "But your devotion is to be rewarded just the same."
"Thank you, Master." Max muttered, adoringly, gazing up at the beautiful eyes of his immortal lord.
"As I'm sure that little mortal mind of yours noticed, my corporeal form was destroyed when I was banished from this realm." He said, his eyes flashing without warning, seemingly only to draw a needy whimper from the slave. "But yours will do. For now. Until I get my hands on the one who banished me, and use his body as my puppet for all eternity."
"Thank you, Master." Max said, immediately. He hadn't noticed, but he was fully erect, shivering in anticipation at the thought of becoming his Master's host.
"Worry not, slave." Master growled. "When that insolent wolf has surrendered to me, and I no longer require you as a host, you will be handsomely rewarded as the first of my concubines."
His cock throbbed once more, and he couldn't stop the pathetic whine from escaping his lips.
"Good slave."
The demon leaned forward, and his shadowy body began to burn with corruptive power.
"Take a deep breath, my slave."
The husky obeyed, and shivered in pleasure as the shadowy mist filled his lungs. He felt a tingling on his chest, and feebly reached a hand toward the source.
"My my, what's this?" He heard from within his head. "A little symbol, to fool the flock?"
He felt his hand reaching, puppeteered by the dark force within him. His fingers closed around the holy symbol, forgotten around his neck. The symbol glowed brightly, fighting valiantly against the demon's hold, until with just a squeeze, it crumbled into dust.
Max felt himself laugh, hard. It spilled from his lips, as his cock throbbed and hardened, drooling strings of pre onto the cold stone beneath him.
His frail mortal body was an unfitting container for the lust of such a powerful demon, but it was such an honor to be allowed to try. He took another deep breath, and felt his own mind taking up less and less space inside his head.
Mercifully, his hand reached down and wrapped tightly around his needy dick. His tongue lulled free as he began to stroke himself, his body almost completely under the demon's control now.
"Gooood slave..." He heard, echoing around his mind even more than the empty chamber. "Just relax, and LET. ME. IN."
Max's dick throbbed, and thick ropes of cum sprayed over the demonic summoning circle. His mind had melted into the pleasure, his own consciousness giving way for the demon's to take full control. He came, again and again, as the demon's lust overflowed within him.
He dropped to his knees, stroking himself as he completely emptied his balls onto the circle, one orgasm flowing seamlessly into the next as his body was wracked with unholy lust.
It was only when his cock was twitching completely dry did the demon finally see fit to stand him up. He stretched his arms, admiring the last few spots of green on the husky's coat as his corruption seared them an inky black.
"Good slave." He spoke, in a corrupted mirror of Max's voice. "And look! It seems my friends have accepted your invitation."
He felt the demon's smile stretch across his face as the circle, freshly fed with mortal seed, welcomed a host of hungry-looking imps, cocks swinging freely beneath them and leaving streaks of corrupting pre across the stone as the poured forth.
"Such a sizable offering from a devoted slave." His Master praised in his voice. "More than enough to bring the city back to heel."
He took a few steps in his new body, as the imps sniffed the air and began to spread themselves through the underway.
"Hmm." Alkario said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully as one of the imps latched needily onto his leg. It drooled, smearing pre into his fur as it rubbed its hard dick against him and stared up at his eyes with mindless lust. "Perhaps that little cleric would be happier as an imp than as a sheep."
He gave the creature a kick, and it hissed and scurried into the tunnels to seek out a mortal to relieve itself into.
"Now... Let's see if those heroes will come when their Master calls."
