Fingers. What were they? Fleshy masses with red sinews on the inside. They grasp things. They poke things. Long, spindly, and… useless?

The human known as Michael stared at his hand, an open window allowing the winds from outside to permeate into his kitchen. He stood there, blinking his blue eyes, the air waving through his brown hair, gawking at his hand while a low bellow from a cervine played in his ears. It was very faint, just barely heard, yet so electrifying.

His head snapped towards the crackle of a handheld radio on the dining table, the tuning knobs morphing around as his nose sniffled quickly, like an animal’s would. Something was wrong, right now. Something was very wrong, but with every passing second, he was feeling… better? It was as if he was just dropped to the lowest point in his life, worse than any familial deaths or troubling times, the literal worst moment that he had ever experienced happened just now, but was slowly, and very surely, becoming better.

Finally, the radio spoke. At first, there was a long, coaxing whoop. A deep, animalistic wail that frizzled with the sparks of the device. An… elk?

‘Why was there an elk on the radio?’ Michael thought, sweat starting to form on his forehead.

“Michael.” The voice was wispy, heavy, garbling. A mixture of ungodliness and hollowness at the same time, a noise likened to a paralysis demon. The human could tell it was coming from the electronic gadget, but he heard it in the back of his mind, almost like he was imagining it. “Get on the floor Michael.”

The man mentioned placed his hands up towards the warbling box, trying to respond to it as if it could actually hear him. His face went through a mixture of emotions, blanking several times before restarting a confused expression. He felt like he was losing control of its functions. “W-what? Get on the floor?” Another elkish bellow, this one closer. Was a herd passing by his house? He didn’t even live near elk, they were overhunted in the last season. “I’m not some dog.” His lungs were taking in thick drags of the air around him, not realizing how pink and misty it had become. “I’m… I’m…” the sweetness was too heavy. A combination of natural smelling sugars and the deep musk of the earth. A turgid scent.

“An animal Michael,” the voice instructed. “You’ve always been an animal. Look at your left hand.”

With a whip of his arm, the human inspected it, gasping in shock as while no physical transformation had occurred, it was already the gray-brown furred foot of an elk. Black, dirt stained hooves made of scleroproteins that were as hard as nails. They were similar to his fingers, clacking together at the end as he moved them around, five digited limbs becoming two girthy clapping knockers.

There was a hardening wetness in his crotch, but Michael couldn’t care about that as his nose acted independently of him, sniffing at the air like a cocaine addict seeking their next hit. His legs felt weak, head slowly looking back towards the radio as it continued speaking to him.

“Humans don’t have a hand like that Michael. Elk do. You are an elk.”

The human shook his head wildly like he was a patient in a padded asylum room. “No! No, no-no-no. That’s not… that’s… oh that’s so real.” He placed his new foot? Hand? Whatever, into his mouth, biting on it as the keratin texture was more than real.

Another bellow was made, this one much closer. Shots of fog blew from his blackening nose as he tried to examine everything. There were more visions, herds of shadowy black figures resembling cervine migration groups in the distance as he stared outside of his window. His clothes were stretching further, the jeans splitting at their seams. The radio talked to him as he examined the outside. For thirty minutes, this continued as he slowly mumbled to himself, feeling the minutes pass by as seconds. A concerned person had tried to enter his home, but they too walked around his house, hearing different words, different animalisms, a different transformation as they shrunk down.

In Michael’s crotch, his genitalia had changed too. Instead of the foreskin and all the flesh a penis usually had, it became severely pink and a little red as well. The width it had was gone, but what replaced it was a long, slender, pointed, and tapered cock that stretched out into a needle like dick. One that would insert into the long cavern of an antlerless doe and inseminate her like all animals do.

His brain liquefied upon looking to see what package had destroyed his briefs. The testicles flopped down nearly a foot, becoming large, rough, and scruffy with silvery strands that could not be called an overgrown patch of pubic hair anymore, but the thick hide of a male elk. Touching the rose-colored shaft made the whole thing spasm, a thick dollop of precum painting the kitchen cupboards under the sink. His lungs had amplified in size, allowing him to breathe in more and more of this flushed haze. The whole frame of his body billowed as his chest thickened out, no longer having the breasts of a human mammal, but the barrel-like shape of an ungulate always on all four legs. This comedically contrasted with the shape of his lower body, which was still human if you didn’t count his hooved feet.

Michael still hadn’t fallen over, but it was weird to think that he wasn’t on all of his feet right now. He didn’t have hands anymore. Trying to grasp at the knobs of cabinets, hold a glass of nearby contaminated water, or even to take in and jerk off his new cock meant nothing. These were not hands, but more feet. They weren’t useless to him now, but just served a different purpose.

Again, the radio sang to him. “Get on all fours Michael. Be a good boy, a good elk.”

He wanted to try to reason with the auditory apparatus, moving his head left and right as it slowly crept forward with a muzzle. Despite the action made, he replied in agreeance. “Okay. Sorry.”

Two clops were made as the skeletal structure of his arms transformed, ones that were made for a body like his. Out from its sheath, the elk-human hybrid’s cock dangled in the musky room. He stood in this position, unmoving except for the drool dropping to the ground for nearly twenty-five minutes, his hind shifting to match the rest of him.

The other person he was unaware of in his home was now upstairs in his bedroom, preparing a squirrely den for the coming seasons. Already the sheets and the walls were falling to the forest’s whims, forming vines and plants seemingly out of thin air. Somewhere, in the grand, great void, an entity was amused. The house was being reclaimed.

“Bellow. There is someone waiting for you.”

There was zero hesitation. The animalistic amalgamation wailed out with instinctuality, hefty, and with a massive presence. On the horizon, others responded with their own calls. Brothers and sisters. Yet, right outside his door, there was an answer so much closer. Time became normal again, and the constant hallucinations had ceased for the moment. Had Michael been more aware of his surroundings, he could’ve tried to run for the hills. It wouldn’t have done any good for him, but his one-track mind that was being overwritten with each sniff of the bubblegum fog wanted another scent. One dense with heat.

Using thick antlers, the male on all fours busted down his own door, spooking a doe outside who looked at him with the demeanor of a humanoid. The female was like him, three-fourths done with the transformation as little anatomical problems were fixed in the coming changes, more skin being replaced with more fur. However, this doe was intriguing, for her cunt was being filled in with the previous trappings of male genitalia.

Even her own voice was masculine. “Wait! Stop! Don’t you see that something’s fucking weird man?”

Michael’s long, cervine ears flopped around, head tweaking. This female really was speaking to him like she was a human. How… how did an elk like himself even come to understand language? It was ruining the control the pheromones in the air had over the both of them as the changed used humanlike qualities to reassert authority over their own bodies.

But… in a way, the doe had said the words ‘something is weird.’ Even the female could not recognize exactly what was weird. Reality was speaking again, this time no longer from the radio, but directly into his head. “Mate her. You must breed.”

Once again, the doe talked, almost as if she was responding to someone else. “No! I’m not a female, not a female — shut up! I’m not a good girl.”

“Look how confused she is. Mount her, claim her, claim her before the other males do. Or else you will die without your line passing on.”

Michael snorted, a pink-purple shimmer revolving around in his eyes. He spoke with lips, vocal cords, and a tongue not made for a human. A commendable effort that he was even still legible. “Turn around,” he commanded.

The female crumpled up, trying to appear tinier as to garner sympathy, her puff of a tail retreating to cover her leaking, wafting cunt. “Please don’t fuck me! Just wait – please!”

“Stop talking. We’re elk. We’re going to mate.” The buck was quick in his response.

She still had delusions within her. “Okay… I’m sorry. I know I’m an elk, but I just don’t know if I want to be mated!” Her gaze was staring back into his own, the glint that had just asserted itself over the male spreading as her own eyes took on that royal glow.

A final nail was pressed into the coffin as the male cervine gave his order. “Shut up. Stand still. And stop thinking. You’re an animal, just like me. We must breed, we must repopulate.” With those words, and a grunt, he gave a loud, mind-melting bellow.

The female’s ears lowered, her tail rising as she turned around to reveal sopping pussy. “”You’re right. I’ll just… stop.” She joined in with the bawl, her wails feminine for her species as both were no longer human in mind. Their hollers joined by other animals from across the town, the twenty-fourth to be infested with this phenomenon, many more changed and adapted. This place was nothing more than just an addition to the forest. People became trees, bushes, fruits to be devoured, but for the luckier individuals like Michael, they’d get to be breathing.

Getting right down to business, the male elk jumped up on the doe clumsily, his body having to shuffle forward to get to the hole to commence properly. He looked stupid, just like a dumb animal. But with two bleats, the pair were now fucking. It was not entirely pleasurable for the female, for the entire act was not intended to be something joyous or satisfying. It was their brains that demanded it, the instincts, DNA, natural behaviors. Human sex would be gratifying, yelling loudly in delight. No, these were two elk. The male did feel a rapture, a kind of bliss that propagated him to keep going, but it was just for that, to edge him, to make him continue breeding this doe as his pre-ejaculatory fluids leaked deep into her caverns. Like a long finger itching the back of a person’s nose, concepts forgotten by both copulating animals, his penis scratched at the entrance to her womb.

And then, only then, with a bellow, one he had heard all day, realizing now that it was himself making those noises, he came. Yellowy-pearl colored globs of thick, mucusy cum splattered her backwalls as she automatically joined him in the call. The two were now married by the rules of the forest, of nature. In future breeding sessions, the sex would be quicker, as the rod of an elk was meant for fast and seamless insertions. A pop, an ejaculation, and that’s it. A three second cum and go behavior. At least here, the entity allowed them one last humanlike fuck before their finale.

Once his balls were properly emptied, the male dismounted. The two animals flicked with their ears, trying to gain awareness of where their herd was now. With smells of musk, and the howls of their new group, the two galloped off into the distance, the nearby houses crumpling into nothing as civilization had been wiped off the map, as if… it never existed. From the former Michael staring at his hand to the moment of sex took two hours. A town, gone, in two hours. 20,000 people no longer remembered by the rest of the world.

The populations of animals depleted would be healthy again for the ecosystem. Within the month, a belly would grow on the inseminated doe, replacing with what the hunters took. Nature was healing, and soon, the whole Earth would heal too.
