Sean travels to visit a good friend of his only to meet a rivalry between his best friend Sam and his father Tyler

"Down on the Farm"

It had been a long day for Sean; after spending a week planning a trip to visit his friend Sam, he could not have expected a massive heat wave to hit on the day of the trip. As the bus he was riding had stopped at a rest stop for some gas and to let its passengers stretch their legs, he hadn't expected a metaphorical wall of fire to hit his thick-furred body, sending it almost immediately into a porous sweat that instantly began to penetrate his short sleeved black polo shirt. Sure, dark colors might make one appear slimmer, but it also radiated the heat of the sun, making an uncomfortable trip even moreso. He wandered into the washroom and casually ignored the stares of the other patrons as he stripped off his shirt and leaned over the sink, turning on the water to splash the cooler water over his face. He exhaled sharply and pulled an extra towel he carried in his bag to make an attempt to dry himself off. As he looked in the mirror, he noticed a couple of the strangers exchanging a glance at each other, then at him and he quickly thought it would be better than he compose himself as he walked out of the bathroom, pulling the somewhat moist polo back over himself, concealing his chubbier form as the sunlight hit him again. Thankfully, it looked like the bus was re-embarking and he was in a hurry to get back to its air conditioned goodness.

As he made his way past a billboard, a familiar symbol caught Sean's eye and he turned to look at it; a flyer that had caught his eye for Timberfang Farm, Sam's farm which was still nearly an hour away by bus. Were they advertising for farmhands this far out? He hadn't realized:

"Howdy friends! Are you in need of work? Are you interested in good pay and good food? DO you like to work with your hands? If so, you're just the fit for us! Timberfang Farm is seeking new ranchhands for the season; possible extensions are available throughout the summer and autumn months. Please call--"

"Wow, this has Mister Timberfang's personality all over it." Sean said with a laugh before folding the flyer up and absently slipping it into his bag before rushing back toward the bus, which was now finishing loading up.

He climbed on board and took his usual seat near the back next to the window, despite the almost full capacity bus, he still had managed to get this small row of seats to himself; and as he leaned his head against the glass to look out, he could feel the afternoon heat radiating through it, but was somehow cooled by the air conditioning at the same time, giving him the best of both worlds. It didn't take long before the hypnotic stripes blazing by the bus' tires, the warming cool of the air and his relaxing posture finally lulled him to sleep.

"SAAAAAAAAM!"

Tyler Timberfang's voice could probably cause a small earthquake in a remote village some twenty-five miles away, but right now he was using it to storm through the house. The large wolf farmer, while more often pretty stern but gentle could simply become monstrous when angered. He thundered up the stairs; but Sam didn't pay him any mind, with a screwdriver clutched between his teeth, he barely flinched from under his desk when his father burst the door open. Tyler thrust his hands on his hips in a show of mass and intimidation as he walked across the pile of computer parts, wires and metal to stand over him. "Do you mind tellin' me what the hell you're doing up here instead of tending to your chores? You were supposed to be done with the milking an hour ago, not to mention the hens need feeding and you promised to fix the gate to the back acreage two days ago."

"Look, I'm sorry dad." Sam said as he took the screwdriver from his mouth and began to twist the bolts of his computer tray to fit in a new hard drive that had just arrived that morning. "But I needed to get this done as soon as it came in, I've got a few tests to finish..."

"Tests, tests, tests." Tyler stomped around. "Honestly I don't understand what you're doing with this nonsense, I mean we got a community college fifty miles away you can go to--"

"Dad. Their main focus is agriculture." Sam shrugged. "I'm--looking for something more technical."

"I don't know what this is...how you got interest in these computers, but they aren't your lifeline. This farm is your family's home it's the reason we put food on the table, it's what keeps our community thriving."

"I get it." Sam replied, sighing in exasperation. "But this farm life just..isn't for me. It's fine for you and mom, you guys have been doing this for thirty plus years on top of two generations before you. I know, I know I get that lecture constantly...but I'm just not interested.

"If you think we can afford to pony up the dough for you to go have the typical college life, then you got another thing coming--"

Sam picked up a brochure that had been laying next to him and handed it to his father. "I've already been accepted to CTU. It's supposed to be one of the highest technical schools in the country, I've earned scholarship credits toward my first semester, which will continue if my grades remain at a three-point-eight or higher score. So, it's done."

Tyler stared at the pamphlet in his shaking hands, a growl rising at the back of his throat. "If you think I'm going to let this--"

Finally, Sam slammed his hand down, nearly snapping the screwdriver as he did so and he stuck his head out from under the desk. "I'm eighteen, dad. I've got the right to choose what I want to do with my life. You can either encourage it or get the hell out of it. But I'm going. At least mom supports me."

A flinch from the older wolf prompted him to rip the pamphlet in half. "Oh...is that so?"

As if on cue, Holly Timberfang appeared outside the door and poked her head in. "C'mon boys, lunch is almost ready." She said with a cheery smile. "And Sam, isn't your little friend supposed to be arriving soon?"

"Oh. Right. Maybe I should get cleaned up."

"Maybe you should finish your chores, boy." Tyler repeated with a growl.

"Oh, Tyler stop." Holly said with a wave of her hand. "If we're really that behind in them I can help out. But Sam's only got a few months to go before he's off to college and I want to make sure this summer is his best summer."

"I think we need to talk about this, Holly--" Tyler started, but she quickly placed her fingers of her his lips and looked at Sam. "Go shower and get dressed for your guest, he should be here within the hour, right?"

"Right."

Tyler exhaled through his nostrils as Sam left the room. "You always gotta take his side, huh?" He asked through a sour expression.

Holly smiled and stroked the man's lower jaw, giving it a little scritch. "No. I'm always on your side. But if our son wants better education, then I'm on that side too. You shouldn't be against him in this."

"Stupid. It's completely moronic, he should continue the legacy that I've given him, that my dad and my grandfather gave him...you don't think he's throwing his future away because of this...'fad'?"

"Sweetie." Holly sighed softly as she rested her hands on his chest. "We have our ways, and he has his. He is following what he wants. And since the world seems to gear toward technical advancement--well...who are we to put a paw in progress?"

Tyler growled in defeat, and then stormed from the room in frustration while his wife followed, with a chipper attitude for what the day might bring.

***

Sean had walked about half a mile to the farm, the bus dropped him off not far from the woodland trail that he would have to follow to get there. He hadn't seen Sam in years and it was both exciting and terrifying to see how the wolf was going to be after so long apart. He wasn't sweating due to the sun; no, the heatwave had mostly passed by the time he reached the trail, and it was shaded enough to keep him cool. But what was getting to him now were his nerves. What if Sam no longer recognized him? What if they'd grown too far apart? He shouldn't have--

Sean paused as he reached the clearing, a big arching sign overhead bore the symbol of Timberfang Ranch, and a particular wolf was near the edge of the road shirtless, his fur bristling to the breeze as he brought his large arms back, expanded his chest out, then brought it down full boar into the wood pile in front of him, splitting the log in twain like it was nothing and Sean's heart felt like it was about to bust out of his chest. Sam was just as Sean remembered him; maybe even a little more hulking. But that mixture of tan and brown and white fur was unmistakable. Those massive pecs, those tall, proud ears. His deep blue eyes and sparkling smile, Sean almost felt wet in more ways than one all of a sudden.

"Sean?" He glanced and happened to notice the husky mid-brow wipe. He looked him up and down, then let out a laugh. "Sean! Oh man!" He rushed over and without warning, scooped Sean up into his arms and gave him a great hug. "Oh! It's so great to see you bud! It's been ages! Ages and ages!" He laughed, his tail wagging uncontrollably at this point. "Well, come on. Mom's been at me for days about you..."

"Oh yeah?" Sean asked as the pair made it up the drive toward the house. "I'm surprised she remembers me."

"Are you kidding? She remembers the day I lost my first tooth to the hour. Of course she's going to remember you..."

"Sean!" Holly said, appearing in the doorway with a big smile on her face. Without hesitation she stepped out and gave him a warm hug. "It is so good to see you! And I see you're eating pretty well, aren't you?" She said poking Sean's belly.

"Mooom..." Sam replied shamefully. "Come on now."

Holly laughed in spite of herself and let go of the husky. "Well, speaking of, supper's in about an hour so don't fill up on anything, okay?"

"Sounds like a plan." Sean replied. "I am a little hungry."

"Good."

At that moment, Tyler's looming form made its way up from behind the house and he made his way down the walkway. His eyes didn't turn to Sean until he approached, and then regarded the husky briefly before speaking to Sam. "I need you to finish feeding the hogs." He said.

"Dad. It's a little inconvenient you'd ask me this now..."

Tyler growled a little bit. "I didn't ask you."

"Let him get Sean settled in and--"

Tyler snapped a glance at Holly, but immediately settled back some upon meeting her eye. "I'll get him settled in. I want Sam to take a little responsibility."

Sean wasn't sure how to respond, he simply clutched his bag in his hands as they exchanged a somewhat sensitive topic in front of him. Eventually, Holly relented and Tyler repeated his order to Sam. As the younger wolf finally made his way off, Tyler turned to Sean. "Sorry you had to see that." He said. "Come on, I'll show you to your room."

"Th-thanks?"

Tyler was silent as he walked Sean through the house, not bothering to comment about any of the rooms they passed through, the pair walked up the stairs and Tyler opened the first door to the left. "This is where you'll be staying." He said as he opened the door.

Sean looked around the dark room as he followed Tyler in; simple wood flooring with a large dark rug in the center of it, a couple of dressers. One with a mirror on it, and a closet in the back corner. He walked to the large bed and pulled the blinds, suddenly shooting sunlight into the room and filling it with its brightness. Sean readjusted his eyes and blinked as he looked at the bed, covered with a deep blue comforter and with a set of 'cowboy' sheets underneath it, it seemed as if they threw the room together. It was very clean and much larger than Sean was expecting. He placed his bag onto the foot of the bed. "It's very nice...thanks."

Tyler grunted a bit and brushed past the husky to head toward the door. "You need anything, just let us know." He said. "I gotta make sure Sam's actually doing what I asked him."

"I'm sure he is." Sean replied confidently. "I mean, he's not someone to let people down."

"Hmph..." Tyler grunted again. "Yeah..." He uttered as he left the room.

The smell of pasta and meatballs hit Sean's nose and his stomach like a brick as he left his room. It was an amazing aroma that got his hunger growls rumbling and as he descended the stairs toward the kitchen, he placed a hand on his stomach to try and quell it somewhat. Holly was alone in the kitchen, bolting from spot to spot insanely fast, pulling out noodles, stirring a pot of sauce, grating cheese over bread bound for the oven and putting them in. It was everything in him to keep from salivating over the sight. She looked up and a smile crossed her muzzle.

"Oh! Did you find everything?" She asked.

Sean smiled back and nodded. "Oh yes, Mrs. Timberfang. I mean it's a beautiful room."

"Please. Call me Holly. You're an adult now you don't need to be so formal with me."

Sean seated himself at the table. "It's kind of hard to get out of that habit." He looked around, not seeing either of the other wolves. "So...what's going on with Sam and his dad? If you don't mind me asking."

Holly's expression changed; it was not a sad expression, or an angry one. It was a look of frustration. "Well, I guess it's just the realization Sam's growing up. He doesn't always want to do the chores around here, he spends a lot of time on his computer. The fact he doesn't want to school around here I think also upset him. He's been really into trying to get into a technical school and with the lack of farmhands, it just puts a lot of pressure on Tyler to...just maintain."

"Ah. I get it."

Holly nodded. "Here recently, it's just gotten worse and worse. I've never seen Tyler so tense, and I think that's just getting some negative reactions. Especially since--"

"Sam! Get. Back. Here. NOW!"

The roaring of Tyler was almost enough to shake the house as Sam burst through the back door, if fur wasn't covering has face it probably would have been red from how loudly he stormed through the kitchen. "S-Sam?" Sean stammered as the wolf brushed past him, Tyler immediately slamming the door open as he chased after him in hot pursuit. Holly and Sean looked at each other and followed the both of them toward the living room.

"Just leave me alone!" Sam shouted as Tyler approached. "I'm tired of arguing with you."

"I just want you to get out there and finish your damn chores without taking a break for your damn video games!"

"I'm not playing video games!" Sam shouted. "I saw that one of my computer fans broke loose and I was trying to fix it, you're acting like I committed some federal crime or something--"

"You might as well have. You're ignoring your responsibilities chasing after some stupid dream of a technical school, as if computers have a more important future than your family's own livelihood!" He snorted. Sam turned to storm out the front door but Tyler stopped him. "Oh no, you're not going out there to go sulk in your little hideaway, you are going up to your room and you're going to stay there until it's time for bed."

Sam slapped Tyler's hand away. "I'm not a kid, stop treating me like one!"

"AS SOON AS YOU STOP ACTING LIKE ONE!" Tyler grabbed Sam's shoulders and shoved him back. Sam instinctively shoved back, and Tyler grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, both of them raising their hands to strike one another.

"Stop it! Stop it!" Holly screamed in anger at the two, who immediately looked at her. "I can't take you two fighting like this! I just can't!" She then turned and stormed her way back to the kitchen.

Sam huffed angrily and slapped his father's hand away. "Just--forget it. I'm fucking out of here." He said as he stormed off the opposite direction and out the front door.

"Holly..." Tyler mumbled in concern as he walked right past Sean and toward the kitchen.

What had Sean gotten himself into?

***

It was hours later; dinner had come and gone and the glow of the lowering sun was beginning to fade into the horizon as Sean sat in his room, resting on the bed with his hands behind his head, it wasn't until he noticed Holly entering the room that he finally sat up. She still had the polite smile, but the softened eyes of a worrying mother.

"Sean, would you be a dear and go to the barn to get Sam? It's almost dark outside...and you're here, I wouldn't want you to spend this time alone instead of with your friend."

Every fiber in Sean's mind was telling him that he shouldn't get involved, but he too cared about Sam and before he knew it, he was walking the drive toward the lone red barn in the distance. As he approached, he could hear Sam cry out, followed by a loud thud. As he made his way into the barn, he marveled at how amazing the place was; several old stand up arcade cabinets lined a floor with clearly fresh concrete, a massive desk with a brilliant computer system. Exercise equipment strewn about the room and at last he saw Sam standing at a large red punching bag, slamming his fists into it and making it swing like a pendulum around the barn.

"Wow." Sean's voice startled Sam for a moment, who then returned to his punches. "Pretty sweet place you got here."

"It's my home away from home." Sam replied bluntly. "What do you want?"

"Well--" Sean's words were interrupted by a scream from the wolf who punched both of his hands into the bag, sending it flying directly up for a few seconds before violently swinging back down again.

"WUUUUAHHHHHHH!" He roared in frustration. "Stupid old man, doesn't know what I've had to put up with, I shouldn't have even let him in! Fucking-" He punched the bag. "Ignorant old timer--" He punched again. "Who wouldn't know progress if it BIT HIM IN HIS FUCKING ASS!" He roared and punched so hard that the bag suddenly fell loose and dropped to the ground. He was still breathing heavily as Sean more cautiously approached him.

"Your mom--wanted me to check on--"

"My MOTHER knows about as little as he does! But at least she pretends to be supportive of me! WHAT ARE YOU FUCKING STILL DOING HERE?! Aren't you satisfied with how humiliating my home life is that you've got to stand around and gloat about it? Your PERFECT LIFE in the BIG CITY away from us redneck farmers?!"

Sean took a step back, somewhat offended that Sam was lashing out at him. The anger swelled in his chest, but as he closed his eyes, he swallowed his anger. Instead, the husky reached up and placed his hand on the wolf's shoulder; he could feel Sam trembling, and without a word he gripped Sam's solid shoulder and pulled him into a hug.

At first, Sam wasn't sure how to respond, his hands out to the sides as he tried to make sense of Sean's hug, but it took him a minute more before he returned the embrace, sobbing as he buried his muzzle into the husky's neck.

It took some convincing, and promises that they wouldn't cause a ruckus, but eventually Holly and Tyler agreed the pair could have a slumber party of sorts in the barn, and at almost ten thirty at night, the pair were sacked up in the little studio, playing video games and drinking soda like they did when they were younger. After the fourth game over, Sean was happy to hear Sam laughing again and he gently placed a hand on his knee.

"So, what happened? I mean with your dad I mean."

Sam shook his head. "It's dumb."

"Tell me."

Sam sighed. "Well, the summer didn't start out very well, I sort of came out to them. And with the prospect of me moving away to go to a school I want to attend, I guess things just really got strained between me and dad. I mean, I love him. Don't get me wrong. But he's... just so--ass backwards when it comes to this sort of thing." He paused and gauged Sean's nonchalant reaction. "You don't seem surprised."

"You kidding? I figured it out years ago." Sean answered with a smirk. "I'm just glad you admitted it."

Sam laughed a little. "Yeah...I guess that's part of it too; you know, I want to go out. Live my life, try new things...get successful. Maybe he just wants me here, or maybe he's just being selfish--I don't know."

Sean smiled, getting in on the laugh a little bit as he leaned toward Sam. "Oh? And what sort of things were you going to try?"

Sam blushed and leaned closer. "I--uh, I don't know...all sorts of things, I guess."

"Like..."

Sam didn't need any more prodding, he leaned forward all the way and locked lips with Sean. Sean inhaled sharply as the wolf's muscular arms pulled him into him as they kissed, the taste of Sam's tongue sliding over his own enough to cause him to swell inside his jeans. Sean returned the embrace and held Sam close, leaning back to a more reclined position. Their kiss grew more passionate and Sean suddenly felt the wolf's claws sliding up under his shirt, gliding over his belly and torso as he lifted it up. They broke their kiss for just a moment and returned to it as soon as Sean's shirt was off. Sean's hands fell down Sam's back, clutching at his waistband and his shirt, pulling it up. Their tongues clicked as they parted and Sam's attention was drawn to Sean's nipples. One at a time, he pressed his lips to them like a suction cup and suckled on them, making the husky jolt and practically melt into his friend's mouth. Sam's shirt came off next, that glorious, muscular wolf physique, the combination of tans and grays that littered his body were almost inseparable in the lighting. His nipples also dark and inviting. Sean huffed and pushed against Sam's body, eventually allowing himself to sit on the wolf's lap. They kissed again, but this was short lived as Sean moved on to Sam's neck, then downward to his own left nipple.

Sam gasped at the touch, letting out a very subdued howling noise as Sean went to town on the nip. Suckling it, then biting it softly. He could feel Sam's hands grab at his backside and push his hips into Sam's body. Sean let his tongue climb back up to Sam's neck and they kissed again. This time Sam tugged at Sean's pants and let his fingers slip in underneath, revealing that Sean had not worn underwear that day, much to the wolf's surprise.

"I want you..." Sam said breathless as he turned Sean over and pinned him to the couch again, crawling up between the husky's legs so that their bellies would meet. They kissed again as Sam unfastened Sean's pants at the front and pulled them back, allowing the husky's member to bounce free; it was clear that he wanted Sam too, and as if to prove to Sean he had no fear, Sam grasped Sean's cock and engulfed it in his hot, wet muzzle. Sean gasped and gripped the couch under him. Sam obliged by lifting Sean's legs up almost vertically and pulling his pants off, discarding them casually as he did so.

Sean could feel Sam's thick cock pushing against his pants which then pressed against his thighs. "O-one second..." he huffed as he pulled himself back.

Sam took this as an opportunity and as Sean reached for his duffel bag, he finished stripping off his own clothes, revealing a thick, dark fleshy cock that was almost completely hard by this point. They kissed again, but Sean managed to take a small tube from his bag. He let down a slick trail of clear fluid along Sam's throbbing cock and stroked it in as the wolf grew closer, his tip just barely teasing the rim of the husky's ass. Sean lifted his legs up into the air as he did when his pants were removed, only this time there was nothing between them and with a trembling moan, Sam slid right in deep. He grunted as he reached the hilt and Sam followed it with a wet slap of his thighs meeting Sean's ass. "Ahhh! F-fuck!" He huffed.

Sean moaned and his chest expanded as he inhaled sharply, as he exhaled the two kissed again and Sam had almost fully removed himself, only to slip down again, and again into Sean's depths. Sean parted his legs some more to tighten them around Sam's waist, helping to drive him in again and again as they kissed. At some point, Sam had broken the kiss and was focusing again on Sean's nipples. Sean moaned loudly, his toes curling, his tail wiggling under him out of control. He moaned again as Sam pulled away, bringing the nipple with his lips. Indulging every moment he could. Eventually though, his wolf instincts took over.

Sean felt Sam's cock slide from him and that rough, rugged grip of the man's claws on his waist as he abruptly flipped him over onto his stomach. He lifted Sean's ass and with a growl gave a few deep, wet licks. With one hand still under Sean's belly, Sam loomed over the husky and drove his cock back into his ass without hesitation; like driving a nail into a piece of wood. This sensation caused Sean to howl out loud and Sam joined in on the song as he began to fuck him even harder this time. Sean could barely move in the cushions of this couch his cock was pushing into the fabric and driving him closer and closer to the edge as Sam fucked him. At this rate, there was very little time until.

"Oh--fuck...S-Sam I'm gonna..."

"M-me too..." Sam replied in Sean's ear before gently biting down on it and giving off a growl.

It was simultaneous; the flood that invaded Sean's body gushed so far into him, he felt like he was going to end up spitting it up. This didn't even pale to his release into the couch, which was suddenly gushing with wet white fluids coating the fabric and the underside of the cushions. This went on for what felt like minutes, until their bodies shook from being spent so hard and so fast. Eventually, Sam came to collapse on top of Sean for a few moments.

"Th-that...was...hot..." Sam said.

"Mmmhmm..." Sean replied, breathing heavily as he nuzzled the wolf.

"It felt right..." He said. "For the first time...I'm glad it was with a friend..." He blushed.

Sean smiled and nodded. "It wasn't a first time for me..." He admitted. "But... I'm glad that I was your first."

"Not your first time huh?" Sam nudged the husky. "Some real world college experience then?" He teased him with a bite to the neck that made Sean yelp in surprise. "So...what now?"

"Well. I don't know about you, but I'm kind of starving, how 'bout you?"

"Oh man, I couldn't have thought of a better idea. How about pizza?"

Sean paused. "This late?"

"I know where the best pizza place is, and they deliver until three in the morning!"

"Well damn. I guess this town does know how to party."

"Heh heh...trust me, this town goes wild on the weekends." He nosed. "Let's order a few pies and *really* have a guys' night in."
