Supervore 3: Attempted Heroism

, , , ,

Angela has her second super-on-super fight. Will she do any better now that she knows she has powers?

Part 3 of 3. Though I might come back to this one later.

The Goddess of Predation was sealed away by the gods, but at a cost. The power they'd invested in her new prison and the mortals they resurrected had drained them. Assured that they'd done what they could, they entered a deep slumber, to rest until the faith of their worshipers gave them the energy to wake again. But little did they realize, the mortals had new objects for worship.

--

Angela sat, panting, on her toilet. It had taken far too long to convince the building manager at the front desk to let her back into her apartment, she'd barely made it in time. She had no keys, no wallet, no phone, no ID on her, but at least she'd remembered her social security number. The fox suspected that if she'd been the only one she'd have been turned away, but there were a dozen furres in the lobby wearing shabby scavenged clothing with no credentials on them, all she'd needed to do was wait in line.

A pair of loud splashes and the clunking sounds of hard objects on porcelain echoed out of the bowl. Angie spread her legs apart and glanced downwards, only to recoil at the sight that awaited her. The skull of an anthro rabbit stared accusingly up at her, a reminder of the day's events.

Angie stared, horrified, at the two skulls sitting in her toilet, one avian and the other more rodent-like. It was finally starting to sink in, she really had devoured and digested two people. Turned two living, breathing, thinking furres into bones, shit, and fat. That last thing reminded her, she shuffled over to the mirror and examined herself in it. The vixen gasped at her reflection, she appeared to have gained at least fifty pounds, most of it concentrated in her bust and buttocks, with a bit of a potbelly in between. Angie turned to glance at her arm, it looked flabby but when she squeezed it with her other hand she felt a solid core under the fat. She curled her arm and watched as her bicep rose, if she had super strength, she figured she might as well look the part.

Oh, right, she had superpowers now. What had that rabbit, Kevin said again? Their powers seemed to be fueled by calories? That might explain why she'd only gained fifty pounds after eating two 100+ pound furres and flying around town.

Wait, Angie remembered, he'd also said something about when they respawned, right? That it seemed like prey might respawn after their predator had burned off all the calories they'd gained from that prey? She could go test that out! Her gaze returned to her reflection of her breasts, which now appeared to be at least E-cups in size. She realized she'd have to find some clothes that fit first.

After showering and rinsing off the skulls, and about fifteen minutes of rummaging through her closet, Angie found some clothes that she thought would make do. A pair of panties and pink yoga pants that could stretch to cover her giant ass, and an XXL-sized t-shirt she'd borrowed from an ex-boyfriend and forgotten to return. Bras were out of the question, all she had were sized for B-cups, she hoped they would shrink back down after she burned off the calories. As she was putting stuff away she stumbled upon a domino mask she'd once worn for a Halloween party, with a shrug she figured it wouldn't hurt to hide her identity a little and put it on.

Once she was done dressing she picked up the two skulls and walked out onto her apartment's balcony. She locked the door behind her and looked out onto the city-scape before her. She was twelve stories above the pavement, if she was bulletproof she could probably survive a fall like that, right? "Come on," she told herself. "You can fly, you were just flying an hour ago." She climbed up onto the railing, glad that it was designed for avians to perch on, and stood there.

The vixen clung to the perch, trying and failing to psych herself up. It felt like she stood there for half an hour, then she heard the groan of bending metal. With dawning horror, she turned to see the bolts securing the railing to the wall begin to come loose just before giving way and sending her tumbling into the air.

She flailed about for an eternity, then all of a sudden, she stopped. Lying on her back, completely unharmed, Angie looked back up and saw the broken railing dangling from her balcony just two stories up. With a sigh, the superpowered vixen slowly floated up and grabbed the broken rail, "I should probably take care of this," she noted. "Don't want it to fall on anyone." With her super-strength Angie folded the steel railing like it was cardboard and dropped it on her balcony. Then she flew off.

The cockatiel's skull she dropped in a dumpster behind a superstore, she didn't particularly care what happened to her. But Kevin was another thing, he was just a scared little bunny doing his job. Should she drop him off near the morgue? His coworkers would know what to do, right?

As she flew around, trying to decide what to do, something caught her eye. A skyscraper that appeared to be a bank spouted a cloud of dust and broken glass. Angie ducked into an alleyway, hovering around five stories up, and tried to see what was going on. A tall, shiny metallic figure advanced on a small crowd running deeper into the building. As Angie watched, the metallic figure picked up a desk and tossed it at one of the crowd. A labrador dressed in business casual clothes was knocked flat by the desk, a ring tailed cat stopped to try and help him back up, but he was pinned and the metal figure was advancing.

Angie absent-mindedly dropped the skull, she realized she must be witnessing an attack by another superpowered predator. As the metal being reached for his trapped prey Angie felt that she should do something, but could she? Should she? This might just be how the world worked now. The metal figure grabbed the ringtail who'd stopped to help her coworker and as she screamed Angie made her decision. She would be no bystander in this world of monsters, she kicked off the nearest building and flung herself towards the villain.

The vixen slammed into his back just as he was raising the ringtail to his mouth. The villain dropped his victim and turned. Now that she was close Angie could make out more detail. He was a nine-foot-tall equine with bluish-chrome skin, glowing red eyes, a mane of spikes, and no clothing but a pair of torn athletic shorts.

"Someone dares to challenge Steel Stallion?" he shouted, stamping the floor and shattering tile under his metal hooves.

Angie landed next to the desk and lifted it off the lab with one hand. "I was in the neighborhood," she quipped. "And couldn't just let you get away with this."

Steel Stallion laughed. "Fool! This is the new way of things. The strong prey on the weak, and Steel Stallion is the strongest!"

Angie gathered energy in her fist and punched a shockwave straight at the horse's face, knocking him on his ass. She turned to see the lab and ringtail staggering towards the half-opened foot-thick steel door of the bank vault, where another furre watched with apprehension.I've got to get him out of here, Angie thought. Give them time to get to safety. But before she could formulate a strategy, she felt a cold steel fist slam into her shoulder, sending her flying.

Angie flipped over once in the air before managing to stabilize herself. She lunged for Steel Stallion, arms outstretched. Caught off-guard by her rapid recovery, Steel Stallion couldn't stop the vixen from picking him up and flying through the giant window at the front of the lobby. The glass might as well have been made of sugar for all the resistance it gave them before she soared higher, and higher above the streets.

But somewhere past twenty stories up, Angie felt the metallic horse grow heavier and heavier the farther up they rose. The fox dropped Steel Stallion and watched him plummet down to the concrete below as she drifted lazily down. The horse made a crater in the sidewalk, but he looked like he was still intact. Angie continued to drift downwards, picking up speed as gravity slowly reasserted itself on her. Just a few feet over the ground Angie's powers seemed to give up entirely and she dropped to the ground, knees bending under the impact. As she staggered back to her feet a giant metal fist rose from the crater and sent her flying back.

Angie couldn't stop herself mid-air this time, her back collided with a concrete wall, knocking the wind out of her as small bits of cement rained down on her head. Steel Stallion stood over her, a grin plastered over his face. "You're looking rather thin," he commented. "Not eating well?"

Angie looked down at herself, all the weight she'd gained seemed to have gone, and then some. Her stomach was flat as a board, her pants had slid down to her knees. She'd lost all of her body fat, and with it, her powers.

Steel Stallion laughed, "next time, do what Steel Stallion did and eat up. Here, I'll give you a little reminder." The equine turned around, bent over, and started to lower his shorts.

Angie's eyes widened as she realized just what he was doing. She scrambled to her feet and kicked him in the shin just as a bit of white bone emerged from his asshole. "You're disgusting!" she shouted as her foot bounced off his metal skin with a clang. It didn't seem like he'd noticed.

Panic settling in, Angie started to shuffle along the wall, hoping she could run away and do... something. But Steel Stallion's hand clamped around her arm and yanked her off her feet. Regarding her as she hung limply in the air the horse snorted, "I might as well top off the tank." He opened his maw wide, the vixen stared up entranced into his mouth with a mix of curiosity and horror. The interior of his mouth and throat looked like someone had replicated an H.R. Giger painting in chromed sculpture.

Before he could close his jaws around her head, she heard a loud clanging sound and he lowered her so he could turn and take a look behind himself. Angie followed his gaze to spy a rabbit standing in an alleyway, picking up a brick. Steel Stallion growled and flung Angie towards the bunny. He missed as the rabbit just barely leapt out of the way and the fox instead slammed into a dumpster. She heard the horse snort with derision before stomping off back into the bank.

"You okay?" Angie looked up and recognized the naked rabbit standing over her.

She tested her arms and legs, nothing seemed broken, or even hurt that badly. "I'm fine, Kevin," she replied as she slowly stood back up, stepping out of her badly stretched pants that were now around her ankles.

"How do you know my..." Kevin trailed off as something clicked behind his eyes. "Wait, you're that fox who... ate... me." His ears shot straight up and he started to slowly back away.

"Yeah, I'm really sorry about that." Angie leaned back against the dumpster.

Kevin anxiously held his hands over his crotch, shooting glances at the pants at Angie's feet. "How... long?" he asked.

"A few hours," Angie replied. "It's like five in the afternoon. I've been using my powers a lot though." She snorted. "Guess you were right about calories and respawning."

Kevin's gaze wandered towards the destruction in the street and the bank. "Fighting that guy?" he asked. "Who was he?"

"He called himself Steel Stallion," Angie replied. "I stumbled upon him robbing a bank while looking for someplace to drop you off." She sighed. "There's a bunch of people in the vault, he'll probably scarf them down and then go find someplace else to terrorize."

Kevin's eyes darted around as he took in everything that had just happened and thought hard about what he needed to do. After a minute in which Angie tried to catch her breath he made a decision. "Would you stop him?" he inquired.

"I would if I could," Angie replied. She placed both her hands on the dumpster. "But I'm empty, no powers left." By way of demonstration she pushed at the dumpster, which didn't budge an inch.

Kevin took a deep breath. "Well," he said with an uneasy quaver. "What if you ate me?"

"What?" Angie exclaimed in surprise.

"I mean, I've already missed most of my work day," Kevin started. "Might as well give up the rest. And you'll burn me off fast fighting that guy."

"You seriously want me to eat you?" Angie asked incredulously.

"If it saves a bunch more people," he explained. "Yes, I do."

Angie sighed. "Okay," she conceded. "If you're serious, come over here." She opened her mouth wide and leaned forward.

Kevin looked nervously into the fox's maw, a primal prey instinct holding him back. But he willed himself to step forward, one foot at a time, and lean into the pred's gaping jaws. Angie picked him up in both hands, gently guiding him down her throat, swallowing him down in a matter of seconds.

Once his feet passed her lips the fox leaned back and looked down at her stomach, bulging out from under her oversized shirt. She rubbed a protruding bulge that looked like a head. "Beat the shit out of him," Kevin said from within her.

"I will," Angie replied, and released her acids. Her stomach filled with fluid, the shapes of his limbs became more indistinct, and then began to shrink. As her gut emptied the rest of her filled out, she felt her panties grow tight and watched her bust tent out the front of her shirt. Finally she felt nothing but a football-sized hard lump in her belly. Thinking that she owed him more than an undignified deposit in a toilet, she reached into her mouth and pressed a finger against the back of her throat.

Nothing happened. Annoyed, the fox who apparently had no gag reflex anymore pressed her stomach with both hands, trying to push Kevin's skull back up her throat from below. After a minute bent over and retching the bunny bone finally emerged from her maw with a splash of acrid chyme. "You enjoyed that," she told the insensate skull. "I could tell."

Angie turned back to the dumpster and took hold of a handlebar, with a groan it lifted off the ground. Satisfied, the fox let it fall with a massive "thud" and snorted. As she walked towards the street she passed by the crater where the horse had landed and noticed a clattering sound coming from within it. Turning, she spotted three skulls and a pile of shit in the crater, one skull just starting to form a new spine. Encouraged by this sign of Steel Stallion's depleting power, Angie leapt across the street and flew through the massive hole in the bank's facade.

Steel Stallion was trying to wrench open the vault door with his bare hands, he was just starting to make a small opening between the frame and the door when a shockwave blasted him to the side. Before he could get back up a super-strong kick slammed into his stomach. "How's that for round two?" Angie taunted.

Steel Stallion whinnied in aggravation. The fox tried another flying kick but the horse caught her in both hands and tried to swing her into the vault door. Instead, he found himself lifting off the floor as soon as he grabbed her, getting spun around and slammed into the door himself.

"That steel skin of yours is neat," Angie quipped. "But I'll bet that door is thicker." She grabbed the stunned horse by the ankles and swung him into the door again, and again. On the fourth swing he missed the door as his legs began to shrink. He became shorter, his steel skin turned into brown fur, his powers were going away. "Looks like you're out of gas," Angie observed. She stopped swinging him around and simply held him upside down. "Guess you didn't have enough to eat either, wait." The fox lifted the equine up to her face. "You're a pony?"

"I'm not a little pony!" the former Steel Stallion protested. "I'm the top of the food chain! I'll get you for this, and then this city will belong to Steel Stallion!"

"Yeah, you're going down the hatch." Angie threw her head back, mouth open wide, and dropped the pony in. He struggled more than her previous three meals, but without his powers was no match for her super strength. As the acids rose around him, he tried kicking her in the liver, but whatever made the fox's skin bulletproof apparently extended to her internal organs.

When he finally stopped struggling Angie walked outside and saw three naked furres of assorted species standing on the far side of the street. She leapt over to them and they recoiled in fear, somewhat understandably. "You got eaten by Steel Stallion?" she inquired. They looked at each other, then nodded weakly or muttered a faint "yes." Angie patted her stomach, "don't worry, I took care of him." She pointed over her shoulder at the wrecked bank. "There's a bunch of people hiding in the vault in there, if the police ever arrive somebody should tell them that they're there. But I gotta go now."

Angie strode past them into the alley, she found her torn yoga pants and Kevin's skull right where she'd left them. He hadn't respawned yet. She started wrapping the pants around the skull to hide it as she flew back home when she heard someone calling to her. "Miss?" she glanced over her shoulder, it was one of Steel Stallion's victims. "Who are you?"

Angie thought quickly, she couldn't use her real name, of course. Should she use a superhero-esque alias? Like what? She basically had Superdog's powers, but she didn't want to get sued by a comic book publisher. To be safe she probably shouldn't use any synonyms like "hyper" or "mega" either. Maybe something alliterative with "fox" or "vixen."

"Miss?" they asked again. Angie mentally flipped through adjectives she could remember when it suddenly clicked, the perfect alias for her.

"Voracious Vixen," she said. Then she grabbed her things and leapt into the air, disappearing into the distance in seconds.

--

"Voracious Vixen huh?" Lieutenant Richard Sus of the Nova City Police Department gave a porcine grunt as he reviewed the footage from the bank robbery. With all the chaos throughout the city, it had taken nearly an hour for the police to arrive, and by then all the powered preds had left, one way or another. In the time they'd taken a horse's skull had been dropped in front of the precinct station with a sticky note reading "supervillain, lock up tight."

"Something about her seems familiar," Dick remembered a vixen at a coffee shop. She'd been strong, but had gone down rather easily compared to this Super-fox wannabe. Still, if that barista was powered they had to take care of her soon. Or rather, he had to. She had tasted rather delicious the first time.

As for this Voracious Vixen, if she thought she was some kind of vigilante superhero, they'd treat her like one.
