The streets have been my home ever since my folks threw me out for being gay, I mean come on let's get real here, no one wants to have a gay son right, especially a family of Pure Bred Doberman, well four days after my twelfth birthday it happened, my mum came into my room unexpectedly and caught me watching a gay porn flick. Well she freaked out which in turn brought my huge father running into the room.
My footpaws didn't touch the floor, I was lifted up from my chair by a pair of huge handpaws and then taken to the front door, and then a huge footpaw connected to my rear end and I was sent flying down the driveway. The only clothes that I now possessed were the ones on my back; I had no money, no friends and now no fucking family.
Well that was five years ago, and yes at first it was hard to get anything to eat or drink, usually it was dumpster diving for food and rainwater or lakes for drink, I realised very quickly that I needed to try and earn enough money to get by, so for a while I sold my body to the perverts of the streets, there are some real lowlife scum here on the streets who will think nothing of taking a twelve year old pups innocence, but hey the money was good, sure I got stiffed by guys not paying up, but most were happy to pay for a pups tight ass.
Then two years ago something happened that made me turn my life around, I mean sure I'm still gay and living on the streets, but now I have friends, more than that though, now I have a mate, yup that's right, you heard it here first, Jason Main, for that is me, has a mate. He's an all male German Shepherd and just a year younger than me at sixteen, Daniel Gallow, or as I have come to know him, Digger. Here is how two years ago my life did a 180.
"Oh well, time for dinner, let's see what delights the local dumpsters hold for me tonight"
As I walk into an alleyway next to a Chinese restaurant I see a sight that makes my blood boil, a young Shepherd pup being beaten by a large Shire Horse, I quickly run at the Horse and throw all my weight into him, it's enough to knock the Horse off balance, and then I stand between the pup and the Horse.
"Why don't you go back to doing what you do best and plough some fields, instead of beating on pups that can't defend themselves?"
The Horse lets out a disgruntled whinny before answering.
"Kid, you're lucky that this Dobey came to your rescue, but I promise you this, if I catch you alone again, I will finish the fucking job"
I begin to roll my shirt sleeves up which reveal my developed muscle, the Horse looks at me and continues.
"Oh don't worry, I know when I'm out gunned and so I will leave you to it, but you can't protect him twenty four hours a day"
I slowly begin to approach the Horse while balling up my paws into fists; the Horse takes the hint and runs off down the alleyway. I return to the shaking Shepherd and I gently kneel at his side, I softly brush back the mass of blood soaked fur that hangs just over his right eye, I know that this guy is going to need medical attention, but I can't take him to hospital because then they will get the authorities involved and he will be taken into care.
Fortunately, during my three years of hiring my body out, I had come across a doctor, oh sure he fucked my brains out, but he paid well and he also told me that if ever I got a medical problem, I could always seek him out and he would patch me up and would say nothing to the authorities.
It was time to make the call, but having no cell phone, I needed to find a pay phone, so I gently lifted the Shepherd to his footpaws and wrapped his arm around my neck, I then slowly led him to the nearest phone booth.

We arrive at the phone booth fifteen minutes later, a journey which on my own I could have done in five minutes, but there was no way that I was going to leave the pup to fend for himself. Joy of joys I have managed to find a booth that has not been vandalised, and so I lift the phones handset and deposit my last bit of change and dial the number that would put me straight through to doctor Robbins.
"Hello, Doctor Joshua Robbins speaking, how can I help?"
"Doc, it's me Jason Main, man I'm in trouble, I have just stopped a young pup being killed, but he has still been pretty badly beaten..."
I don't get to finish my explanation as the doctor interrupts me.
"Ok Jay, tell me where you are and I'll be with you as soon as I can"
"I'm at the phone booth just outside of Harrods, look doc; you gotta hurry, because I'm not sure how long the pup will last"
The phone goes silent for a second then the doc makes his reply.
"I'm heading out now; I'll be with you in two minutes, just try and keep him breathing"
I quickly put the phone down ending the call and I start to check the pup over for signs of further injuries, then I check his pockets to see if he has any ID, I find a provisional driving licence so I know that at some point like me he was cared for and probably pretty close to taking his driving test, I read the name on the card, Daniel Gallow.
"Ok Daniel, I don't know if you can hear or understand me, but my name is Jason Main, and don't worry, I'm gonna help you get patched up"
The still shaking pup gently nods his head well at least that tells me that he can hear and understand me, I scan his clothing and I see that before his attack he was well clothed, could his attack have been a mugging? Or is he like me and just been cast out for some reason? I would have to wait for the answers to these questions though as I see a large Mercedes that I recognise only too well pull up to the curb.
A well dressed Fox exits the car and rushes to my aid.
"Fucking hell Jason, you sure know how to get involved don't ya?"
A weak smile graces my muzzle as the doc continues.
"It's a good job that you have such a cute butt, because otherwise you would have to take your chances at the local hospital, now help me get your friend into the car, then we'll head back to my place where I will treat your friends injuries"
I help the Fox to get Daniel into the car; I then sit next to him as Joshua gets into the driver's seat and pulls away from the curb. As we drive, the doc keeps looking in his rear view mirror.
"How's he doin'?"
I look at the Shepherd and I can see that his breathing has become quicker and more laboured.
"Josh, he don't look good, stick your footpaw down"
The car picks up more speed as the urgency in my voice has caused the Fox to plant his foot on the gas pedal. Moments later we are pulling up to some large gates, the Fox presses a button on a key chain and the gates open, the car pulls up to the front of a grand looking Tudor style house, in truth I know every nook and cranny of this place as I have been here many times, but this time it is not for pleasure, this time we are trying to save a life.
The Fox jumps out of the car and then opens the rear door for me, I gently get out of the car and then help the injured Shepherd, the doc then closes the car door and helps me walk the injured pup into the house.
We walk into what would normally be our play room, it's a fairly large room with a bed a sofa and a low work surface, the doc helps me to lay the pup on the work surface and then begins his examination.
"Ok Jay, I want you to run upstairs and fetch my spare medical bag from my study, and do it quick"
I do as I'm told and rush up to the doc's study, there on his desk is his spare medical bag, I quickly grab it and then rush back down stairs to where the doc is waiting for me. The doc opens his bag and retrieves his stethoscope and begins to listen to the pup's chest.
"Ok, it sounds pretty clear, but I will just give him a shot of a mild pain killer, that should help get his breathing back under control, the poor kid has taken quite a beating, if you hadn't intervened when you did, he would be a corpse right now"
The doc injects a mild pain killer into the Shepherd's arm, after a few minutes his breathing begins to return to normal. The Fox lets out a sigh of relief.
"Ok, now then Jason, I gotta head back to the surgery to attend to the rest of my patients, but I want you to stay here and look after the pup, you know where everything is, and I shouldn't be away for more than a couple of hours, but if he gets any worse, use my private number and call me"
I nod gently and pull up a chair to sit next to the work surface, the Fox turns to me and smiles gently and then heads out of the door.
