Chapter 2: The Start
First notes after the story tell me how you liked the change (for those who read a day in the forest) and for those just reading the 1st part is what is in the parentheses. 2ND STORY! I didn't really like the plot for the first one so theres a big twist in this one if yall dont like it i'll change it back or something.
As the two of them woke up from thier passionate night. Dan (I like dan better than daniel) woke to find that sherry (sarahs nickname) was still by his side, " hay wake up, we've got a lot of ground to cover if we're going to make it back to the car in time to go get breakfest".
"do i have too!" said sherry
"Well this seems to call for drastic measures!" said dan as he began to attack with Tickles!
"all r.. right im up im up!" as she began to wake up
They left the tent and began the walk to the clearing where dan had parked.
"hey dan, how did you like the role playing Yesterday?" said sherry
"I didn't know it could be so fun! I'm glad you talked me into "doing it" with you" replied dan
"I thought you would like it. So you think you would want to try it again sometime." said sherry
"yhea i would, but first we have to find my car" said dan
After a few minutees of searching they found the clearing they parked in and pulled the protective cover off it to reveal a 66' candy apple red mustang with all the bells and whistles.
New character profiles! since the last story was just a roleplay thing.
Dan: same figure as in roleplay. dan is married to sherry, they have been married for about 2 years now so they're still lovey dovey. no children (Yet!?) Dans around 23 and sherry is almost 22. Dans works at SRS (special response squad) a goverment group that deals with "special cases" sherry works as a teacher for advanced martial arts. meaning they both have advanced skills in the butt whooping section. now for the cars profile! if you dont know what it looks like just google it. Yes i am a fan of muscle cars so i just had to add it. The mustang has been in Dans family since it rolled out of the factory but recently they had some work done to it. SPECS: 289CI motor with an upgraded 4V 4barrel holey carbureator (total of 550 hp). New fuel injectors, supercharger, and most motor components. new headers and exhaust with a flowmaster super40's give it a real muscle car roar. (not the high pitched tuner car sound, if you have ever heard a truck go by with a really loud deep sound its more like that!). now back to your schedualed progrraming.
Dan and sherry got into the mustang and cranked up as Dan threw it into first gear and spun out of the clearing into the dirt path that they took to get there. After an hour or so they found the small town they had passed and stoped at a diner to get a bite to eat.
When they left the diner they noticed there was no one in town and all the stores were closed. As they walked up to the mustang an old looking man walked up to dan and just sat there and stared at him.
"um... excuse me can i help you?" Asked dan
Suddenly the old man swung at dan almost hitting him as he ducked to dodge the blow. As dan rose he punched the man square in the chest knocking him down. "What's your problem" yelled dan as the man got to his feet and went after dan again this time dan put some power into the punch knocking the old man down onto the street causing his leg to twist and break. Shocked dan started to walk towards him to help but to his suprise the man tried to get back on his feet but failing. Obviously dan knew something was wrong with how this guy was acting but as he watched the man try to get up he noticed that there was blood around his mouth.
Dan had seen this before bloody mouth, slow movement, and relentless atacking, But zombies only appeared in horror filmes what would make this man do that. Dan didn't have time to react as the man was up and was about to attack when in the blink of an eye a shot rang out and the man slumped and fell to the ground dead.
When dan turned to look who had shoot the old man he found that sheery had gone to the car and got dan's colt 1911 and had taken the shoot. "What was with him" asked sherry. "I don't know but I don't want to stick around to find out, lets get out of here" said dan as he ran to get in the mustang with sherry. The ride home was completly speechless until they got back to their home in the appalachin mountains.
When they arrived at the house they didn't know what to do so they decided to see if any of this had happened anywhere else. And to their suprise there was a outbreak of a genetic mutiation that caused these affects. The anchor man even said that most of the major cities had been overrun and that the air can house the mutation but foxs show no sign of mutation.
When the news was over the two decided they had to do something about this. They quickly packed as much food, clothes, and supplies (includes bullets for dan's colt and his pump shotgun and shells) and quickly drove to the SRS Headquarters.
Dan rolled up to the SRS parking lot and went down the spiral to get to the underground facility. Once they were in they Found the Commander of the SRS ready to tell them everything. "Great, Sergent Riley I'm glad you showed up this mutation is a serious problem and we need all the help we can get! Follow me to the conferrence room.". They followed the commander till they reacher a big room with a large oval table with at least 30 chairs around it. They found that there was only 10 or so agents in the conference room mostly foxs. " were are the rest? there must be more!" said dan. "It seems that Most of them have been mutated, It seems that it spreads exponintially quicker!" replied the commander. " Well lets get this thing started, we have found that there is a man in north california that has started the spread of this mutation we don't know what he is after but we know we must"
INTRUDER ALERT INTRUDER ALERT
Suddenly An alarm came on and the man who was on gaurd stumbles in bleeding heavily bleeding telling them a group of guys are trying to infiltrate the base! Everyone rushed to get a position outside to defend but the intruders were already in the base and easily picked offtwo agents. Dan and sherry ran across the hall to the armory to get weapons but after grabbing the guns they met up with the only three survivors. "Hey there's only a couple of them left!" Said one of the agents giving away his position and getting shot full of holes. Dan quickly looked to see where the bullets come from and chuncked a grenade their way. After the explosian they couldn't here anymore gunfire and the battle was over.
"Man that was close I'm glad you're hear! the names Mark!" said the agent " And I'm Kasey." said the other "This is my mate sherry and I'm dan." said dan "Well if were going to california then i guess we better pack(pointing to guns in the armory)" As the four armed themselves they didn't notice there was one intruder who survived. " This is for killing me mate!" Yelled the intruder as he shot kasey in the back of the head instantly killing him. "Wathc out!" said Mark as he gunned down the last intruder killing him. After paying respects to kasey they went to the car with as much guns and bullets as they could carry. "WOAH is that your mustang!" yelped Mark "Yhea she's a buetty" replied dan "Whats it got under the hood" asked Mark "289 HO (high output) what else!" replied dan "well lets get the heck out of here I'm starting to get the chills" said sherry

They didn't drive far because it was already pretty late but they did get to tennesse and stoped at a motel. When they opened the door they could tell it would be trouble, they could her the moans of the zombies in the motel rooms. But they had to stay this was the only motel for hours. They had their guns ready to bash in the door and dispatch of the zombies " ok on 3 1... 2.. 3!" as dan yelled he broke down the door aiming in the room to find a rabbit thrusting into a another one. When they realised they were being watched tthey quickly questioned them " WHAT ARE YOU DOING, CAN"T A GUY BONE HIS WIFE IN PEACE!" said the rabbit. "Umm... sorry about that... we'll be leaving now." said dan as he closed back the door.
"Well I'm glad were safe!" said Mark " yhea i guess I'll see you in the morning" said dan and sherry as they took the room next to Marks.
