Part I:** Not to the death**

Lance and DA arrived at the arena. DA on the blue side, Lance on the red. "You really think yer good enough to beat me? Tch! Dream on!" Lance smirked and flipped his hair "Let's see how much you keep talking after I walk into the Pokemon League!" The both of them turned around and walked to the far end of the side. "You'll be sniveling like a wimp when I'm through here! Scizor! Your up!" Lance flung a poke ball and out flashed a white light, soon forming Scizor as he walked towards the red side of the large battlefield. He sneered and readied himself. DA raised a brow and smirked "Looks like Scyther evolved eh? Notta prob. Charmeleon! Begin this battle!" Charmeleon came out of the ball as he grinned to his opponent. "Scyt -er... Scizor! It's been too long!" Scizor glared as Lance nodded "Scizor! Make your move!"

Scizor rushed at Charmeleon at such speed, Charmeleon's eyes widened "What!? When did he become this fast!?" Scizor's claws glowed an eerie black as he slashed at Charmeleon with black streaks (Night Slash) he cried out and held his stomach as slashes appeared along it, blood trinkled down Charmeleon growled "Nngh...! Whoa that hurt! Oh yeah?! How's this!!" Charmeleon took a deep breath before spewing a cloud of smoke to the ground which spread outwards. (Smokescreen) Scizor shielded his eyes "Tch! What's with these cheap tricks!? Get serious!" Scizor leapt up and rushed at Charmeleon, clearing the air of smoke before slashing at him again with his pincers. Charmeleon cried out and rolled along the ground. He stood up and held his side "Damn...! He got better...! No way can he dodge this!" Charmeleon back flipped as Scizor rushed at him again, striking the ground. He leaped upwards and swung his hand as fire balls spewed from his mouth, shooting at the ground before the remaining orbs of fire danced around the field (Flame Burst) Scizor cried out as his shoulder was hit, panting as he twirled into the air and about, dodging the remaining attacks with grace and acrobatic movement (Acrobatics).

"If that fire hits me, It'll harm me badly. I must avoid it." Scizor landed on the ground before flipping upwards and appearing behind Charmeleon, gripping him hard. Charmeleon growled before smirking, looking back to Scizor with a blush "You wouldn't... hurt me would you?" Scizor flinched and let go as Charmeleon smirked and kicked him upwards into the air before Scizor flipped about and swung his hands as his wings slowly flapped, sending currents of wind at Charmeleon,(Silver Wind) slashing and slicing him as he growled and extended his hands, creating a dark blue barrier in front of him (Reflect) "Damn....!!!" Charmeleon strained to keep his wall up before it shattered from the shear force of Scizor's attack. He grunted and landed on his feet, falling on one knee. "No way...! He's too strong now!"

DA gave a growl "Charmeleon! Stay strong..." Charmeleon rubbed his chin and smirked, he slammed his foot onto the ground and roared out, Scizor glared and rushed forward as Charmeleon leaped up and spewed a swirl of fire from his maw, forming around Scizor before it slowly closed inwards and erupted in a tower of fire (Fire Spin) Scizor grunted and fell onto his knees as his body was badly burned, Charmeleon's eyes widened as he landed back down. "What was that...?!" DA seemed surprised, he smirked "He learned Fire Spin. Hmm...but what to get rid of?" He looked to his hi- tech Pokedex along his wrist, "Why not Flame Burst?" Charmeleon looked back to DA and rubbed his neck "Um! Sure! I don't min-"At that moment, Scizor rushed towards Charmeleon and used Night Slash before he gripped him and flung him to the wall.

A sweatdrop formed on DA's head as he rolled his eyes, soon deleting Flame Burst as Charmeleon forgot how to use it. He growled and rubbed his head before he spewed streams of fire that swirled along the ground, Scizor swiftly dodged most of them as Charmeleon spewed orbs of smoke at Scizor, blinding him momentarily as Charmeleon rushed up and elbowed him in the abdomen, sending him skidding along the ground before Charmeleon blew a stream of fire directly at him. Scizor suffered the burn as he fell onto his knee, "Damnit..." Charmeleon tilted his head before he walked over and extended his hand. Scizor glared before uppercutting Charmeleon with his claw and sending blades of wind at him. Charmeleon was unable to retaliate and suffered the attack, landing onto the ground with a thud.

"Tch! Charmeleon!!" DA shouted before clenching his fists, Scizor shifted and landed on his feet gently. "A formidable opponent, however, he was not strong enough..." DA rushed over to Charmeleon and lifted him up. He smirked and sent out Luke. Luke blinked and looked to Lance then to Scizor. "What...!? Master where am I?" DA gave Charmeleon to Luke as he held him steady "He lost the first battle. No big. Luke, take care of him alright?" He gave a grin as Luke nodded, the two went back to their side of the field as Scizor jumped and landed next to his trainer. "What's a matter DA? Giving up already?"

DA smirked and looked back to Lance before sending out two pokeballs "Giving up?! I haven't even started! Lets get this party started!" to figures popped out, Machoke and Nidoking. Nidoking rubbed his neck with a yawn "Whats up boss? Huh? A battle?" Machoke smirked and stretched his arm "A fight...huh? No problem. You ready Nido?" Nidoking looked to Machoke "Ready!? ...Alright fine. Lets do it." Lance smirked before sending out two of his own Pokemon. Machamp appeared and flexed his muscles with a grin as he looked to Machoke "Well well! Lookit here! Little shrimp didn't evolve huh?" Machoke glared to Machamp and cracked his knuckles, getting into position. As the second pokemon, Salamence appeared with his arms crossed as he smirked looking to the two. "Now THIS is a challenge!" He blew a stream of fire upwards and grinned wide "I'm gonna tear you to shreads!!!"

Luke and DA both growled as their new opponents were different, "Damnit...they evolved too huh?" Luke looked to DA "Master...! Lance's Pokemon...they look awfully stronger now!" DA crossed his arms "Don't worry. Machoke and Nidoking came a long way too. They can do this." Lance laughed as he taunted DA "Them!? Please! THIS is gonna be interesting."
