Having been watching from afar at the attack occur at the town from one of the castles' window, Alexander with his legendary and known inquisitiveness, gazes at the group of guards and some knights who are carrying something.

Like the guards and everyone else, the doctor has heard on of some sort of assault being caused by a monstrous ape and had since then observe from afar, even though he would very much prefer to be there present.

An old aged man, Alexander is a doctor whom habitually services at the castle. He has been for nearly fifty years due to his vast knowledge and being one of the few who possesses the rightful skills to perform this profession.

In contrast to his years, he still maintains himself in good shape and as always vigorous and much active when it came demanding to his line of work. And given that serving under Alexis orders means serving to help the men and servitude as well when needs to be, the doctor is more than prepare both physically and mentally for the numerous of cases that been risen over time.

In contrast the doctor shares a somewhat kind of zeal in respect to his profession. The same which in turn has him learning about another kind of living beings that also inhabit the province. Not long ago the keen doctor has stumbled upon a manifold of tomes which at the instance are not that out of the ordinary. And as Alexander reads more about their content, he discovers all sorts of information depicting in respect to the biology of a whole new set of living beings.

To resume, Alexander ends up reading more and more about all sorts of creatures that also roam the earth as their aspects, characteristics, weaknesses, and metabolism just some examples, mainly a number of this topic.

For the same reason is that the good doctor had also begun to make recordings and studies of his own. Some fieldwork as he considers which he spent on his spare time, alas the territory where the realm stands isn't the proper place to that he can do this given that many creatures roam near. Not that this thwarts the mature man, yet wishes that he could put in practice at what he can about various mythological creatures.

However, things significantly and for a good use are going to adjust today as he continues to watch at what they are bringing on a wooden litter. As to his surprise and much startle he sees this gigantic body which in turn is covered by fur. Surveying the same, Alexander notices that such creature possess a muzzle, has long ears and claws on its hands with which with much carefulness he deduces are paws. Even if the doctor hasn't seen one for real, for Alexander wasn't hard to know that the creature or lupine to be exact is a werewolf, given that this species is one he has also read about.

Yes, the lycan as the doctor determines, looks quite all about what he has read about this sort of species. Mostly at least possesses those characteristics given that the lupine has these weird red marks, not to mention the loincloth it uses or "he" uses to put it given that such garment and the fact the werewolf is aside from that almost furred clad gives to determine for it to be a male.

But right now though that doesn't matter as the old doctor gazes at a part of the lupines' body which is to say indeed plasters with blood or at least this is what seems like. That give the impression to him but without being able to see better at it, Alexander instead moves from his current position to that of his workplace. He does this as he realizes that if the lycan is being brought to the castle, worst with an injury, can be one reason only he can think of and also looks forward to.

In any case, some minutes go on from where the good old doctor gets to his working room into which a known knight arrives.

"Eagan, finally gotten here"

"What, how did you know?"

"Apologize if I have confused you, but had been aware of what has taken place at the town and ever since had been observing from the castle. You do know by now that news about a creature attacking us is not an everyday matter and what is that such also interest me."

"Am mostly totally aware of this s old friend, which is why in this case Alexis has sent us. This werewolf has been seriously injured, which is why our empress sends us viewing that you could do something for it"

"Alright put him over the table then"

Eagan and the other men as so move again placing Caleb over a brawny wooden board which is reasonable capable enough to support even the lycan himself as Alexander himself moves and begins to examine his nonstandard patient. Upon revising at what is the reason behind the werewolf blood loss with some gauze, Alexander comes across this spat of blood, which was forming beneath the lupines' body at which he questions Eagan about it.

"What happened to him exactly?"

"Well it was the one who got rid of the beast, yet got injured in the process by the ape creature itself."

"Care to tell me how"

"Long story to be right now to be telling old friend, but to resume the ape creature impaled the werewolf with a sword"

"Am lost Eagan, last that I know of this werewolf isn't even from around here, so what is he's tale?"

"We don't know yet. It just intervened on the attack and practically ended it all itself"

"Reckon he is capable of this that, but still the ape did quite an amount of damage. The blade penetrated the muscle and went all the way through the bone exiting at the back. And just to be clear you keep calling it, but you must know that it's actually a he."

"Empress did call the werewolf to be a he too, but defending my ignorance not sure about the gender"

"To clarify this then, yes he is a male. Loincloth denotes that as much not to mention other aspects."

"Take your word of it. In any case what's your opinion for him?"

"It would vary, have to say. For one thing, it is bad that the sword was removed in the first place as you are aware that's not recommendable in this type of injury"

"The werewolf himself did it. Our princess tried to save him after the ape had impaled him with the blade, but after getting the creatures' attention, she then tried to kill the creature with her own sword by stabbing it too but didn't work. So as the ape was going to attack her, he removed the sword and threw it at the beast."

"In that case, timely for him to be a lycan then"

"A lycan am guessing another way to call his species. In any matter what does being a werewolf has to do with the wound?"

"Come and see if you're curious"

The inquisitive knight moves to where the doctor is as he makes an effort to understand his friends' riddle. Eagan watching closely and perfectly at where the impalement occurs isn't baffled in the minimum because of the same, as an old warrior like him has witnessed numerous worst lesions before on the battlefield. What did rattle out his attention was noticing that the wound isn't that atrocious as it should be.

Although the werewolf's wound clearly shows signs of being pierced, at the same time the injury itself for any reason wasn't that full-size as should be given the whole incisive skirmish through, but instead similar if something lesser made that damage. The old knight perplexes at this, inquiries his doubts to the one person who knows.

"Think I see what you mean but what"

"Happens to be that his species has the advantage of possessing an extraordinary and quicker metabolism, thus rapid healing is one if the many upshots that derive from the same."

"That benefits him, so the job cannot be that complicated"

"Yes with his body already in that process, at least for now all I have to do is close it temporarily and as for the bone itself, shouldn't take long for it to heal as well, as long as he doesn't interfere with that. Some cooperation from him and some immobilization to this part should be sufficient"

"Yet as he's not from here, who knows what how he's reaction would be once awakened."

¨I will see that, but for now I'll work with what got to do"

The old doctor knowing that the wound isn't life threatening steps back looking for an herb that would somewhat help the lycan deal with the wound in a more accurate rate. Looking around over a shelf, finds what he needs inside a pot which he takes out. Doctor then steps back next to his patient as he intends to cover Caleb's wound with some bandages.

However, before doing this, he cleans the blood over the wounded area and along the same. After this he applies some of the yarrow over the wound as necessary but with the same caution, but as much as with heed that the old Alexander operates with isn't' plainly sufficient to avoid a heat of difficulty.

Both Alexander and Reagan notice a jerk coming from the werewolf which seems nothing at first instance and consequentially things get progressive with Caleb gaining some consciousness, which is observed by other men in there as he begins to stir in a slow and weak motion.

" Is he....."

"Coming around it appears so, which is not an option right now"

"Then think swiftly old friend, because who know how the position stands if the werewolf wakes up all confused, worst with that injury"

"And why the only respond is to anesthetize him."

"Think will be enough with him"

"At this moment it's a better shot than having him waking with pain"

Eagan nods back while an erudite old man with this immediate obligation as to one of his patients' goes and retrieves what will be in need to sedate the lycan. The doctor uncaps a bottle from which he obtains a mixture of opium and other herbs which he measures as to in the necessary but careful quantity that may be in the need to the task.

Temporarily time is literally running out as an old knight observes a lupine still weakly in the process of waking up. Not wanting to run the risks warns his friend.

"I advise you be quick with that"

"Need to be careful with this you know, in the meantime to avoid any setback, need all of you in position just to hold him while the anesthesia occurs"

"Very well, you heard the doctor move to each side of this werewolf's arms and legs to hold him. Be cautious given his strength, there are risks of resulting injured as well"

Guards and knights as indicated position themselves at each extreme of the Caleb's limbs. All the meanwhile, Alexander gathers the herb mixture inside this piece of rag which he folds until the herb remains safely inside. The doctor then walks back to where an unease Eagan is, however, this time he doesn't utilize such herbs on Caleb's wound but instead applies the rag over his snout.

Taking time for anesthesia to take effect, all the men in the room can only observe as one yet semiconscious werewolf still is stirring on the table as Caleb on his part moves his head sideways upon the light sensation of having something being placed over his muzzle. Moreover, this weird odor assaults his nostrils which he tries to make sense of as he continues to regain consciousness.

Caleb's action worries all, while Alexander on his part hopes that the herbs work on time before the werewolf wakes up. On the same moment, his friend discusses back to him.

"Looks like the herbs aren't working"

"Hopefully they will, on time"

An attentive lycan on his part is sentient of various presences as his sense of hearing turns on. However, his senses returning aren't the only in the same process as Caleb became aware of as this sharp and familiar pain throbs from his shoulder. A conscious lycan grunts to this to which is when he opens his eyes, something that concern the other beings in the room.

Alexander still with assurance that somehow the drug will eventually take on its effect, talks out loud.

"Know this looks daunting, but I need for all of you to remain in self control, in the meantime I need everyone to hold him off while the anesthesia works."

As with indication knights and guards hold and maintain Caleb's limbs in place while the doctor continues to hold the rag over the lupines' muzzle.

An awake on werewolf, however, isn't fond of their actions, worse, as he sees this stranger who is holding something over his snout. Caleb snarls to this as he begins to try and get free from his humanly bind, worst his motivation is urged by a known throbbing pain which continues to pulse. Unluckily as may seem in this situation his strength comes back, which without doubt the angry lupine uses.

It's obvious that the men as so can't hold him anymore, to which the person in charge of the situation acts too.

"Let him go"

Eagan with concern on such order, responds to.

"Are you sure"

"Yes, because he is going to get angrier if you don't, so everyone just let go. Trust me on this"

Seemed uncertain but still as following orders from the doctor, everyone let's go off the lycan, which the same in terms takes advantage of as he immediately moves out of the board.

Caleb confused and angry because of his surrounding and worse sensing being lost on the moment can only snarl with fury. His situation isn't getting better with the wounds over his shoulder, which continues to transmit pain.

Because of the same, is that the lycan places his paw over the wounded area as he desperately wants for it all to go away. Such reaction from him is what prompts Alexander to act as well, as the doctor is well aware that the lycan is still within much pain.

"It's not necessary for you to do that"

Caleb much still with haze only, answers back with doubt and angerness.

"Who do you think you are to tell me what not to do? I demand to know where am I and what are you doing to me"

The doctor obliged as to his duties and correspondence to a patient, steps from his position sets with direction towards the lycan. During that time Alexander addresses back with proper careful to a recognizable and confounded werewolf.

"Pardon me for that comment. My name is Alexander and I'm the one in charge of tending you. You lost consciousness after the battle with the ape beast because of the blood loss resulting from the impalement, and were brought to me because of the same reason. You're within the castle and right now within my workplace."

Seemed explainable for a still foggy on lupine, yet that doesn't undo the tick being caused by his wound, which forces him to speak with some uneasiness.

"Why were all of you holding me then and what were you doing with that rag?."

"Forgive them for that, they were only following my orders. I unintentionally woke you while trying to treat your wounds and not wanting for you to wake up in pain, decided to resolve the situation by trying to anesthetize you instead. Though that it still hasn't work on as should"

Alexander at that moment stands before his patient, which instead of being scared by only observes with concern as he knows that the lycan, who is still in much in pain even though its wounds are healing, because of the same issue is why the doctor continues to talk.

"Now I must ask you to let me continue treating you as needed"

A curious lupine as to why the humans' concern responds to.

"I aware that you're frightened because of my actions and express some apologies, but I will be ok and don't need any treatment. My wounds will soon heal by themselves, so I just need to rest."

"Am more than aware of your metabolism and its capabilities to heal your wounds with quickness; however, that won't take the pain away and prominently to your situation is that I must immobilize your arm."

"Why must you do that?"

"The blade pierced through the bone in there as well and until it heals back your arm needs to be immobilized to assure that happens."

"Still I..."

Caleb pauses as these mysterious drowsiness sweeps in. He is quite puzzled as this quiescent impression, which engulfs him, same to which Alexander becomes aware given the distinct indications the werewolf is giving and the same is which the doctor responds about.

"What's your name, if so I can ask?"

"Name's Caleb"

"Very well Caleb everything is going to be ok, trust me"

"What's happening to me?"

"Those are the herbs acting up which in turn are numbing you"

"No I...."

"It going to be ok Caleb, trust me, nothing is going to happen to you¨

A seemingly untrusting werewolf can only step back as he somehow tries to get rid of the dormant sensation coursing in. Eagan on his part seeing this as well addresses the lycan with trustfulness.

"Alexander is right. You're in the castle being treated because of your actions of dealing with the beast, which our empress wants to repay you. So I must request that you let the good doctor here go on with his work."

Although a dull werewolf understands everything now and is aware of the men straightforward words, it's late for him to respond back as should as the drug finish kicking in. Noticeable to this is that Caleb comes falling down as to which Alexander tries to grab and hold on. As to the same is that Eagan himself and the other move to lend a hand. Eagan ponders to his friend about.

"The drug?"

"Yes, lets lay him back on the table"

The knight nods as to which he and others with carefulness none the less as so move a dormant lycan back to the litter. Once having placed Caleb on the same is to which Alexander without any predicament begins to work again on his patient.

The doctor seeing as some of the herbs over Caleb's shoulder was dropped off applies more of the same in there. After that he goes into bandaged it, but just halfway there though as moves on to examine the lycan's backside. In order to do this, asks for some more help none the less.

"Eagan need for all of you to do me another favor"

"Want some help I'm deducing. What is it that you need now?"

"For everyone to turn him over in order to check his back as well, momentarily though as am just putting more herbs over the wound after this and then finish with the bandaging."

"Very well, alright you heard the doctor move with carefulness as always"

Following orders, Eagan and the others grab a hold of Caleb's left side, which is from where they lift him over until the lupine himself is laying sideways.

While maintaining him in that position Alexander goes on to examine the exit wound, same which is in the process of convalescing. Going on, as before the doctor goes to clean the blood in there as necessary and then goes on to cover the wound with the herbs before finishing bandaging that side along with the entrance point. Seeing that part being done, Eagan asks back.

"Lay him back now?"

Alexander as to nods to his friends and the others with ease position Caleb on his back again. After this, more bandages are applied over his other side just to support the wrapping being done over the wounded side.

Finally being done with this is to what the doctor goes on to finish as he moves around the place on to look for some piece of cloth capable enough to support the immobilization. Searching throughout the same, Alexander gathers the required one which should do the job and knowing that Caleb is aware of the same, knows that given an ongoing cooperation from his part now will be enough to get his shoulder fully heal as should.

The doctor begins wrapping the cloth behind Caleb's neck before passing cloth around his left arm. He wraps the bandage with the essential need for Caleb not to move it around until his shoulder bone has healed up completely. Once done, Alexander goes on to make a tie at the back of Caleb's neck. Having been finished with satisfaction over his patient treatment, the doctor speaks to his friend.

"Finished here"

"Knowing you, more than sure that is"

"As so, may I know what are you going to do with him?"

"Don't know that. Empress's orders were to bring him to you. Since she is still on the town, we're going to have to wait what are her new orders in respect to him are."

"In the case then, you're more than welcome to leave him for the meanwhile until Alexis decides what to do."

"You sure that nothing will happen, I mean if he wakes up..."

"If he does, he already knows what's the situation is. So no, I don't think something will happen, but if you're still unease, welcomed to stay until the given time."

Eagan ponders and reflexes on the situation. He is indeed aware that the werewolf would be more tranquil due to the little war of words interchanges several minutes ago. Then again, is the fact that with the situation with Caleb has been resolved, his other duties are back which meant going back to town and help at what can in there.

Eagan then directs this to his friend.

"Alright then, since the werewolf has already received treatment as ordered, will be going back to the town"

"Very well, let Alexis know that he is going to be alright and that for now he remains in here."

Eagan nods as to. After that he and the other men move out from the doctors' place of work until Alexander is left alone with Caleb, the same which in turn only stands observing at the werewolf with curiosity now.

Now that the whole situation was over, Alexander was more than free if one can say so to examine his patient with closeness. Not that he was going to do something to the lupine for that matter, but he surely couldn't let the opportunity pass on to make some research and records of his own about Caleb's species. As so the doctor steps back just to gather a book, same which he uses on to make records about the creatures he personally has studied about.

Opening it, Alexander makes a new marker which he will utilize to record all the information about Caleb. Within the book is that he commences to write about him, which in terms goes on to depict Caleb's anatomy being the very first thing. For the same reason, is that the doctor moves back near the werewolf as he goes on to examine the lupines' head, which Alexander explores as to the several parts that conforms it. It's ears, muzzle, making recording of his patients' set of canid teeth within the same, and other connotations like nose and whole length Caleb's snout.

After this, the doctor then moves on lower which is his patient´s chest. From the same is that more recordings are made, muscle contexture first, followed by a new recording for him about the lupine kind of what possessing nipples just a like human male. Examining the same with much closeness, the doctor very well determines that the lupines' nipples possess the same structure and context as indeed to those of a human for that matter.

Once having finished on with this, he goes on to make notes about paws,. which goes to describe their form and size, and the claws on the tip as well. Moving on, Alexander passes on to Caleb's legs which he records length and size of feet along with the contexture of the same. Laslty but not least is the mentioning of his tail which stands between the lupines´ legs.

Being done at what he can describe about Caleb's framework, other characteristics are written, same which state the color of his fur, the symbols that are carved and lastly but not least the out of the ordinary garment.

Lastly, an elderly man takes time now to draw and describe more of each of the notes just written. Seemed necessary as to and there was also the detail of having nothing to do at the moment is what prompts the doctor to work on the same, knowing as well of course that he may not have another chance to do this after who knows what Alexis orders concerning Caleb are. So as goes, a committed examiner uses the best of time on his research.
