"oh my god, i'm sorry, i didn't know. but believe me, i feel your pain."
"how can you possibly feel my pain?"
I sighed "it all happened 16 years ago...i was 14 years old at the time and me and my family went out to the park to enjoy the blissful sunrise when hybrid troops thought my parents were soldiers and fired at us. my mother was shot in the leg and my father in the chest. i ran and hid in the playground and watched helplessly and watched them be executed. one of the soldiers almost found me, but i stabbed him with my pocket knife. i kept on running and hiding until i was old enough to join the army in vengeance of my parents. and that's how i feel your pain."
she just sat there in awe. "well i guess we have something in common then. my name is aryss ferrite. my friends call me shadow. that is, my remaining friends."
"my name is luietenant garret rombal, but you can call me eagle."
"Eagle? why do they call you eagle?"
i drew and flashed my twin pistols. she jumped back a bit. "it's my weapon of choice. The desert Eagle. Don't worry, you're in good hands here with me."
she looked up imploringly. "do you promise to never let me get hurt?"
i knelt down to her and said: "i would never let anything happen to you."
"thank you!" she leapt on to me.
