Ezreals journey to the Dark Moor

Tells the legend, there's a magic place That could nobody find its trace Land of darkness, Land of forlorn songs Where all is mystic all along.

Ezreal was born with the gift of magic flowing through his veins. Ezreal, however, was also born with a much stronger sense of wanderlust. Put into school to become a skilled techmaturgist, Ezreal quickly became bored with magical studies. By the time the boy genius was eight years old, he had fully mapped out the underground tunnels of Piltover. The quality of his work was so great that the government of Piltover purchased his maps and salaried his services as Piltover's Grandmaster Explorer. This sealed the deal on Ezreal's path in life - he would eschew the arcane arts in favor of archaeology. Since then, countless of Ezreal's adventures have been written about as romanticized stories. One of Ezreal's latest adventures, however, has brought him face-to-face with his other legacy - his latent magical power

Ravaged by Rune Wars long past, the Shurima Desert was wrecked by chaotic magical storms, leaving a harsh desolate area. The desert is known for its hot climate, and many men have gone mad beneath the glare of the Shurima sun. Besides humans, armadillos are one of the few known creatures that are capable of surviving in the difficult terrain. Ezreal had already packed all his needed gear and was ready to leave. The Shurima Desert was not a good place to rest for long. He could already see The Pyramids, strangely, large floating pyramids can be found in the middle of the Shurima. The origins of these structures are steeped in mystery and entering them is said to be quite dangerous. However, there are those who believe that the pyramids house untold treasures. So whether for profit, knowledge, or simply for the thrill, many adventurers make the attempt to discover the pyramids' secrets. Ezreal was one of them. He wanted to get here long ago. And now, it was his chance. Travelling through the desert was very hard competition, but who knows what will happen to him there "No time to waste!" He said himself and started to go. Hot weather didnt let him go fast, so he went to his destination slowly, but surely. When he finally arrived, he found an entrance inside one of the pyramids. It was rather cold inside if compare with the temperature outside. But it was also dark there. Ezreal found his torch and after he fired it, he was quiet surprised. There were almost 5 directions where to go. A labyrinth He thought. But who needs a map?! Ezreal was always sure about his skills. He began to make his own map. Walking through different corridors, he had already made big map. But something was wrong. He noticed that all the ways are passing by one big empty place in the center of the map. He tried to find the way that comes as close to that spot, he possible. At the time he got there, his first torch was fully consumed. But he was ready as always and took his second one. Ezreal was glad he took four of them. Suddenly, he noticed strange pictures on one of the walls. He tried to touch them, and suddenly, that part of wall disappeared. As Ezreal went in, he saw a lot of skeletons there. That might be those, who tried to reveal the main secret of the pyramid. As Ezreal went further in, he noticed that everything started to turn black. All at sudden, he went unconscious When he woke up, everything was black. He tried to feel the torch, but floor was empty and cold. What the..? How the floor can be that cold. I thought I am in a hot desert! Ezreal exclaimed. Ezreal suddenly heard a voice in his head. It was calling him. He couldnt understand the words. Then he saw a weak beam, shining in one direction. He decided to follow it Soon he arrived in a light hall. Everything was so light, but Ezreal couldnt see any torch or fire to produce so much light. Who comes in the Hall of Olden Dreams? He heard a female voice from nowhere. Who are you? Asked Ezreal in hurry. I am Janna, Spirit of the Art. He heard and an image of a woman appeared. Now, speak! And then I just could deem. She exclaimed angrily. I don't know why I am here. Ezreal said as answer. He didnt understand whats happening. I read in your fate Spirit said quietly. You must cross the gate! Her final word went in echo in the hall. Ezreal wanted to ask where it is, but the image disappeared and he heard another voice. Now it was angry and evil. It is too late! Ezreal was paralyzed with fear, but he heard a familiar Jannas voice: Now, you must go. You need to focus on you mission here. Follow my beam, and find the way to Shadowland Ezreal saw another door opened in opposite corner of the hall. As he went through the door, everything was dark again. Only one faint beam was showing the direction. Sometimes, Ezreal heard different voices. They were giving him threats: Care with the nice evil lies, because the greed never dies. Care with the sweet false promise, which proclaims the paradise. Now he heard again Jannas words: Don't listen to its false word! Moreover don't fight with its bejeweled sword. And ever don't play in its black rich board. Remember Ezreal saw something moving in the dark. Who's there in the dark? He said. I'm who keeps the ark. Morgana is my name, the Devil of Greed I am. Why do you talk me? Ezreal was still at his position. Your friend I could be The Devil answered. Why'll I trust in you? It would be a good view Move away with your false hopes Your illusions are your slope! Morgana still tried to persuade him. You don't try to cross my way! Riches you can not slay!! Perhaps I cannot win, nor new worlds begin, but now and ever in my heart the Art will be my sin! Ezreal yelled and tried to run. I can see, in my soul, the gate's before me! Mystery's real! He finally felt relief, but not for long. He felt as his legs are becoming heavier. He could feel like dark binding are grabbing his soul. You won't free. Morgana said evilly. Let me go! Cried Ezreal. You cant flee! Devil yelled. No! Finally shouted Ezreal and felt the light magic is breaking his bindings. Now he could go and he started to run towards the gates As he felt the dark presence faded away, the stared to feel so light Ezreal arrived in the Dark Moor. Soon he appeared in a light and beautiful place. It was full with spirits, and from a crowd, The Spirit of the Art approached him. Greetings! You crossed the Dark Portal. Here, you will be blasphemer, deemer, dreamer And again, like a choir he heard a lot of voices: This is the gift of the Gods which for men will be odd! This is the dream of the demons that envy it! And now, dear Ezreal, your time here is at the end. You must go there, from where you came! Ezreal started to feel sudden surge of energy. Oh! Spirit of the Art! If my soul must depart, my mind will stay with you! Ezreal woke up near all those skeletons and now, he understands what happened to them. They all gave up to the greed, to the Devil of Greed. Then Ezreal saw a faint light coming out of the corridors end. As he came there, there was a giant amulet. It was twice Ezreals size, but Ezreal was able to uncover it out of its tomb. As he firstly touched it, he felt his powers began to grow. Now he was able to control and shape magical energy itself. This allowed Ezreal to tap into his natural talent for magic without having to put any serious effort into it. As he finished his map, he heard a strange cry, coming somewhere out of the pyramid. So decided to leave carring that amulets power with him, and using the map, he went towards the exit of the pyramid

End?

At the same time, in other part of the pyramid, a mummy woke up. It was Amumu. Empowered by the magic of an amulet, his soul was returned from the Dark Moor, but all he remembered was that he was alone in the pyramid. He was entwined in mummy wrappings and he could not feel his heart beat. Furthermore, he felt a deep sadness that he could not entirely explain; he knew he missed his parents, though he could not remember who they were. Dropping to his knees, Amumu wept into his bandages. No matter what he did, it seemed he could never stop his tears or sadness. Eventually he stood up, determined to wander the world to discover his past
