Aftermath
#7 of R&K
Raze gets closer to reaching his destination as his nose alerts him that Kara is nearby. While a bit nervous, he senses more than tiredness resulting from the quick encounter with the other mysterious lupine, not to mention having lost some blood and been shot. Knows he needs to rest more than recommended given the deep wounds. However, right now meeting up with Kara and letting her know of the presence of the dangerous werewolf came on top of the list.
It is soon when the lupine reaches his mate, as Kara herself sees this as she only observes this huge canine beast landing on the roof. Oddly, she sees her lupine landing away and hidden as he stays on this almost lit spot. This worries the female to which is why she directs to Raze.
"Are you alright?"
There's a bit of silence which odds Kara more and takes concerns that something happened to the werewolf. She walks towards him all while trying to make him to talk.
"What's wrong?"
"Kara, are you aware of what has happened tonight?"
"If you mean about the murder in the park, then yes. Why, are you hurt?"
"It wasn't me Kara. I didn't kill anyone"
"Haven't asked that my goofy wolf, I asked if you're hurt"
"Well..."
The lupine slowly steps out letting Kara see how much she is right to inquire if he is okay.
For Kara is not hard to see the tearing wound on his arm and shoulder given that Raze has clean all traces of blood from the wound with a couple of licks and no more of the vital fluid is coming out. As the huntress gazes at the injuries it's easy for her to notice the marks left at each, distinctively they are punctures on the skin and consecutive.
If it wasn't for the heads up about the existence of another werewolf that wouldn't confirm to her that the creature had apparently attacked her mate. His injuries indicating an encounter apparently which wasn't good and in turn what worries Kara as tonight's events changes things in more than one way. And while Kara dwells about this, Raze on the other clearly senses his mate's concern. At the same time he stands before her all while continuing the conversation.
"Don't worry Kara; trust me, I had worst encounters than this"
One fact Kara is aware of truly given that Raze told her about the countless furious and nasty disputes he had with his former alpha and friend. Nevertheless, she is worried for him as normal as to what the huntress asks about.
"Are those wounds the only ones you have?"
"Just one more, but it's nothing serious"
"Where"
Raze turns around letting his mate see his back to where Kara observes at this hole made down at his right side. It's easy to know that it is a bullet wound and while this unease's her, Raze, who notices her expression and uneasiness, tries to calm her.
"Don't worry Kara, the wound isn't deep"
"What are you talking about?"
"See for yourself"
Kara goes ahead and carefully touches around the entrance of the bullet wound. The skin there tear on as should as the huntress gently felt around beneath the fur and on the skin. Taking a closer look by moving some of the fur to the sides, Kara gazes and odds to what her lupine meant. Truly, the wound wasn't going that deep as should be given that it wasn't profound on his body but instead superficial.
The shot wasn't made misguided though but directly as it is clearly and observable for an expert like her. Even so, it was if it was made with no intention of hurting Raze whatsoever. On top of that only one was made as Kara inspects his back to find out no other bullet wound exists. None the less wondering more about these details, the female go to ask about this.
"Who did this?"
"I don't know his name my love. All I can say is that he shot me but only to detain and oddly just question me about the murder."
"And he just let you go after that?"
"No I escaped because others were coming to the scene as it was just he and me there. Tried to stop me though with another shot as I was escaping, but it missed or so"
"Or so"
"Meant to say that because the shot did hit close, but something makes me think he purposelessly missed. Besides his behavior, kind of reminded me of you somehow, which also makes me think of this. The way he acted and focused as to the other lupine only and not wanting to kill me."
"Black tone looking guy, huge, tone built"
Raze frowns to the quick but rather quick and short description. Not that the lycan was jealous but being a male even from another species still has some of the same effect.
"Maybe"
Kara notices the evident expression on her werewolf's face not to mention the qualm tone he responds with. However, she just smiles to know that her male can be jealous and to which he praises him for as one her hands leans to down to grab a hold of something or "some things".
"Just so you know he can't compete with you in any aspect, big boy."
A dumfounded lycan hears just for this sudden and weak, but content groan to be heard as some groping occurs down on his groin. Kara grabs on to caress his large-size scrotum as a pair of twin orbs are cupped and cuddle with some known gentleness and pace. Her move is enough to mellow and sufficiently comfort Raze as just he stands there with his eyes half shut as he enjoys the testicle fondling. Since his balls are a major weak point for him, referring to this in an erogenous way when it comes to them being taken care like this exact moment, it is not unusual for him to remain like this.
Kara very well aware of this continues to massage the lupines' testicles until she eventually ends. Raze gains some composure after these and smirks to his mate all while reassuming the chat.
"I'll take your word for it"
"Good, and by the way, that was Sarge whom you met. And yes he is kind of like me when it comes to this job."
"Like I said, he reminded me of you. In any case, it's a good thing he arrived there, and he let me go. Wanted to see you again for a couple of minutes and to let you know about that other dangerous lycan,"
"For a couple of minutes"
"I need to rest Kara, plus haven't eaten anything and with these wounds I require that as much."
"I know"
Kara immediately steps a bit away from Raze to which at the same time her left hand goes to grab his left paw as the huntress gently pulls it with his arm going on as well an indication.
"Come."
"Where"
"Just follow me"
Kara gently continues to pull the lupines' arm forward which he is still odd about. Of course, Raze couldn't say no to his mate, and so he walks after her with ease, with much curiosity none the less as he wonders where she's taking him. They relentlessly stop but only for a couple of seconds as they reach a door which led to the roof which in turn Kara opens and then simply walks through with her still puzzled lycan following.
The two walk down a series of stairs until they exit through another door. They end up on this long foot hallway with a couple of doors. All of this, not to mention the fix and set furniture and accommodations hints that the building isn't unoccupied; something Raze's tracking sense warns him also as multiple scents are detected.
A worry on lupine gently stops upon sensing this which Kara notices as she looks at his concern face.
"It's ok, keep walking Raze"
"Kara, someone may see me"
"We aren't going far my wolf and don't worry, just keep on walking"
Raze slightly hesitates but still goes on with his mate as they for a couple of seconds until the two reach up to this certain door. Kara takes out a key from one of her pockets which she uses to open the door. Still curious but obeying, the lupine follows his mate as she and him goes through the door. They both go in a little further just for the werewolf to stop as Kara does but enough for him to be curious about the place.
Other than a couple of regular furniture set around, there's not much to scatter about. And it's not because there isn't anything out of the ordinary, but everything is in order. There's no mess around and everything is just intact, which to Raze might be weird given that he's never been an actual apartment; nevertheless, it is easy for the lupine to know that the place is where Kara lives in.
He senses this to some point and beyond his keen nose tracking his mates' scents all over the place confirms this. There was also the fact that Kara had previously described a bit about her current dwelling. Still Raze is with surprise to know that he is standing there. In the meanwhile his mate noticing his behavior speaks up with him.
"Something wrong"
"Didn't know where you were leading me at first and still can't believe that you brought me to your place. With everything going on tonight it's too risky for both of us to be here."
"Stop worrying Raze"
"Kara..."
"My wolf, do I really have to grab and handle that hanging sack of yours just to settle you down again"
The lupine wonders about that. It's not that he doesn't trust Kara in what she's doing, but only cares for her safety, and yet knows he needs to show her he can be calm and doesn't need many reasons to be at ease!.
Although in this case, the suggestion for his testicles to be caressed again wasn't something he could pass, but either way he needs to be levelheaded despite the inducing offer.
"That's better, now come"
Kara grabs onto a paw which has Raze following her up again as she walks to another place with him behind. The two ends up at the entrance of a room which the lupine oddly recognizes as the same to being Kara's bedroom as it accustoms to the name itself.A well sized bed, furniture, closet and other stuff here and there are those which the lupine snoop´s around again to at what he can see.
"You're really curious aren't you?"
"Can't blame me for wanting to know where does my mate resides"
"Alright my furred guardian, then come with me to see better"
Kara suggestively indicates her mate to walk with her as she moves and so does he until the two are inside the room. They end up in front of her bed much to Kara's predilection and favor, all while her lupine stares at the comfit mattress and furniture with nosiness and wondering what does his female wants.
"Sit Raze"
"Why"
"Just do it"
Puzzled as always but respecting his mate Raze sits on the mattress while he looks at Kara.
"Now stay there and let me get a couple of things"
"Very well"
Kara leaves the room not to mention a dumbfounded lycan which wonders if a couple of things are actually a couple of toys. Raze sighs but anyway hopes Kara isn't too rough tonight given his condition and mood. In any case, the werewolf takes time to view with much closeness at Kara's room.
Like mentioned before, there's the bed which is comfy as he sits on the soft mattress. There's a nightstand which is located near the bed that happens to be close to where he was sited. A couple of furniture' which are common and standard for the room. A closet that lies across from where is and apart from all of this, there's not much to go on to say unless he was to snoop around. But that would be invading his mate's privacy, and also he didn't much care about what things Kara had. He knew everything about her so there's no need to poke around.
Eventually, for his sake the lupine senses his mate coming back, much to his annoyance and expectation to see what she has brought to play with him. However, he's surprised to see that Kara instead brings something else. The lupine curiously observes that she has brought a few pieces of raw meat. Aside from the quantity, they are different each one as to what he can gaze and smell. Raze wonders as to if they are for him as he is fitting hungry and the smell of all that red meat, although unlike and strange, is becoming effective to his body and mainly stomach.
"May not be a deer and also not that fresh and tasty, but am sure will be enough"
"Certainly not, but why?"
"Want you to be here for a little longer, and it's safer for you rather than to go and hunt, because of tonight."
"Am sure I can hunt safely Kara. You don't have to do this"
"Rather be cautious Raze. And like said prefer you stay in a little longer, also you can eat and rest while you tell me everything that happened."
"So you won't tie me up"
"No, I need to know about that other werewolf, and you are injured and tired."
"Right"
"So here it is. Eat up"
The lupine observes at the plate of various meats with hunger. True the pieces of raw food couldn't compare to the extent and number from what he ate from a regular animal. However, Kara's pure intention of trying and feeding him were enough to bypass that detail. A detail Raze values all while he goes and grabs a piece of meat and begins to eat.
Given that the piece isn't that big, but neither small, for that matter, and rather just well and normal sized it's easy for Raze to devour the same with ease without having to rip anything apart. His teeth only grinding the raw and somewhat juicy pieces as he eagerly continues to savor the distinctiveness in each piece he was offered.
From what he tastes to say the least, each piece is different from one another, which is what the lupine relishes at. Given of course that this is an unusual source of food makes Raze take pleasure in from the moment while continuing eating away. At the same time as he keeps himself occupied Kara observes her male with curiosity.
Observing her mate feeding was a new thing or at least in this way given that the huntress has actually witness the lupine hunting at night and feeding off from a deer. It turns out doing these were easy thing thanks to a little tracking device of hers. At that time through Raze wasn't aware of being observed until he was eating and got surprised by Kara being there.
Not that much occurred there though as a kind of bolt from the blue, mostly given that Kara was just interested in seeing her lupine in this activity with only curiosity and not any sort of judgment. Even Raze was surprised by this, of course not to mention dumbfounded as how the female had tracked him there, but more importantly happy to learn that his mate wasn't scared or horrid at him for this, mostly demonstrating to him how much Kara accepts him in every way.
Getting back to where they are, the female just observes at the werewolf whom chumps and continues to simply grind each piece of meat with a set razor-sharp tooth. Fortunately, she didn't have to worry about him leaving a mess given the short amount of blood present. It is just amusing to see him doing this up close, and yet this makes her feel at ease. At ease that he didn't have to go far for food, which given tonight is safer on that part.
After a couple of minutes, the lupine beast finishes as he savors and devours the last piece of his meal. Slurps his muzzle with his tongue around just to clean any leftovers and blood as well. For the same reason is that he licks his fingers all while Kara stares at him with further amusement. Because it's funny to see for her to see the lupine cleaning up, none the less, the huntress hopes that all that raw food serve to satisfy him and help with the requirements for the rapid healing process to go on.
Finishing up, the lupine stares back at Kara with gratitude to be called for.
"Thanks for that"
"You're welcome big guy. Now that you'd eaten, there are other pending matters"
"The werewolf"
"Umm, besides that, I also want to tend your wounds."
"Know you don't have to do that. With what you gave me they'll heal up right and fast, and by tomorrow night, I'll be as good as new"
"Yes but that doesn't mean they can't be tended more properly. You might have cleaned the arm, and your saliva has helped to cauterized it. Nevertheless, the one on the shoulder and back aren't, and I want to take care of that."
Truthfully the female wants to. Raze might be not that careful to petty things like those wounds because of his metabolism, but Kara is seeing as she cares for him in many ways. Something the werewolf knows.
"Alright, while you tend me, we can talk about tonight"
"Yes, let me just get what I need for you"
Raze nods and so Kara moves to another door on the room. As the lupine observes being open, he gets to see the bathroom. The huntress goes in and only takes a few minutes in there until she comes out with a couple of items. She walks up to her bed where she puts a couple of bandages, a towel, gauzes, and hot water.
An involved werewolf eye browses at every supply. Certainly, Kara is serious about tending his injuries as to which he looks at her with skepticism. Although he values her intentions still doesn't see a point in this.
"With the bandages is more than enough Kara"
"Hush goofy one and raise your arm"
An obedient lupine extends his wounded arm which Kara simply bandages given that Raze's licks have done the job of cleaning there and cauterizing. Going over and over with carefulness of not putting pressure, the female covers the pierced and torn off skin. Making sure to cover the entire wound itself, it's soon when she finishes as she then simply secures the ending part of the bandage.
"There, although next time I would prefer for you not to let yourself get bitten in there like this, or anywhere else, for that matter."
"It was better to have him do it instead of going for my neck"
"The other werewolf was trying to kill you!"
"Don't know why, but yes. The only reason that comes is because I interrupted him from killing that woman."
Kara pauses over not believing what the lupine is telling her. It is one thing that the killing beast was after humans, but to try and get rid of another of the same species and worst her mate was atrocious.
"Tell me everything that happened tonight while I tend your shoulder and back"
The lupine nods as Kara then grabs the towel and submerges a part of it on the hot water. She then moves behind Raze from the other side of the bed as she goes onto carefully cleaning the small volume of dried blood around the bullet wound.
"How did you know he was in the park?"
"Didn't, but got curious, and went there after tracking his scent, which didn't know at the time whom it belonged to"
"And how did you got a track of that"
"To begin from that, I woke up tonight and got hold of your scent Kara, which guessing how strong it was, you wanted to meet?"
"Yes"
"In any case, followed it until stopped on building just outside the park. I was getting another sniff of you when perceived his scent. Wanted to go for after you, but my curiosity got in the way"
"It was better it did. Although I didn't like my wolf being in danger or wounded, you saved someone and are aware now of the creatures' existence."
"I know."
By then Kara has cleaned around the wound with subtleness as to which she steps back just to take another bandage and wrap it around his abdomen. Respectively, behind there is where the wound is which the huntress covers lightly.
"What happened once you got there?"
"Followed the scent until I located him and when did, he was trying to kill that woman, but not before he already had mauled up a man. I stopped and allowed the woman to go"
"And after that he went on and attacked you"
"Yes"
After reviewing this part, Kara finishes in bandaging his abdomen which in turn covers the gunshot wound. Lastly, but not least is Raze's shoulder lesion, which in comparison to the other ones is worst. Point duly noted as the wound was extensive given that the grey coated beast pierced in there deeper than on the arm.
For Kara it is somewhat uneasy to know that the other werewolf was trying to kill him. Was close to get to the shoulder was hard no to imagine that he could actually get to the neck. She pauses thinking as to what would had happened if that occurred instead, which the thought terrifies her over of having lost a unique fated lover.
Raze on his part notices Kara and senses her worry and gets an idea of what is going on.
"It wouldn't have been that easy for him to kill me Kara. He just caught me up by surprise and nothing else. Next time we meet if it comes to be worst, he'll be the one to die"
"Him being these dangerous hopes that occurs."
Both agree to this, Kara more than knowing that the other beast is a true cold-blooded killer who needs to be stopped. Moving on from that, the huntress soaks another part of the towel on the water and uses it to clean the shoulder. Since the injury was greater and deeper Kara carefully does this as she moves around the fur and skin.
"He attacked you immediately?"
"No he stood observing me for a couple of minutes, which is what threw me off at first. However, then suddenly he jumped towards, and everything went on."
"Is when he wounded you?"
"Yeah, while trying to keep him off, he bit my arm first. After letting go, he went at it again and his other assault and me fending off let him to bite my shoulder. But then he wouldn't let go from there as I took notice of and so fought back."
"Last part is noticeable"
Kara asserts as the damage being done to Raze's shoulder is somewhat extensive. Fortunately, it will all soon heal, but despite this fact she wasn't in anywhere to forgive the beast for attempting to go after her male. In any case, she continues to clean the wound with carefulness while knowing more about the encounter.
"How did you dealth with the bite?"
"Forced him to let go by grabbing his muzzle and opening it, once that I threw him away. He tried to charge against me again but kept him away with a slash to the chest."
"Did you wound him?"
"Not mortally, but yes."
"Hope you do it next time"
The lupine nods. Kara steps back as she finishes cleaning up the shoulder. She then takes another bandage and goes to cover that part as well with preciseness. The bandage passes over the shoulder twice covering good there and after that around the chest for support.
"Lastly you pay him back."
"Couldn't, that's when Sarge arrived and the fight ended."
"Wait on my wolf. You said before he only shot you, but what about this other werewolf. Did he attack Sarge or something when he got there?"
"No, that's another curious detail that now that you mentioned I had forgotten. The beast ran off before your friend arrived. However, what's odd is that he acted strange before that."
"Enlighten that part"
"Can't say for certainty but before Sarge even arrived; the killer sensed something, as if he got a track of him or something else."
Odd statement which puzzles Kara, certainly if this was true it means that the beast had somehow got Sarge's scent, which was impossible. For all the female knew he hadn't an encounter with the lupine, or if he did, then how.
Many questions are rising, which need an answer. Nevertheless, for now Kara needs to focus on her own werewolf; consequentially, for her, he looks somewhat better with the bandaging. Although trivially it was unimportant given the wounds weren't truly treated as should given his healing ability. Despite this, the huntress steps back looking at Raze at the same time as he looks at her. The lupine then looks as the bandaging, and while unimportant he grins because of the caring sign Kara has towards him.
"Thanks for this Kara."
"You look better that way. In any case, it's good that you let me knew about that other werewolf, and that you're safe and sound. By the way, at all of this, haven't asked you, what does he look like"?
"Apart at being from the same species, he looks much dangerous for what I know now. Primeval, his fur color is grayish and also has this pair of red glaring eyes. Vitally, for you to know is that he is very different from any other werewolf I have seen."
"Stating that fact I do. He is a threat to everyone and needs to be stopped."
"I know and with his scent, will personally use it to track him down and settle things for good."
"No my wolf, I don't want to see you get hurt again, we'll handle it"
The lupine suddenly steps up with uneasiness and seriousness. Kara observes him noticing his reaction to the comment.
"And let you be in danger instead, no Kara. In case you forgot I'm the only one who can track him easily, not to mention more suitable to deal with him. And unless you have someone better to do this, there's isn't anything you can argue with me about searching him."
Kara observes a serious lupine, been the first time to see him this indomitable and imposing. Conceivably, to the reason that he only has been submissive when it comes to being kinky.
For that matter, she uneasily accepts that idea. However, although Kara knows that Raze has a superior advantage over the matter and confidently dealing with the grayish beast, given his pattern, she is not sure this will be an easy task, an important detail the lupine isn´t aware of and that neither does the huntress has an intention of revealing just yet.
"You win Raze. Even so, you're not going to go after him easily without being careful. You're strong and experienced, but that doesn't mean can't be caught up by surprise again, so you and I will plan this carefully."
"Very well"
Stepping close to his mate, Raze lowers around her as he nuzzles his snout against Kara. Kara acknowledges as she touches and strokes along that part of him for a while. The lupine then stands unease at having to do something else given the time running on.
"Now that were settled, I'll be leaving"
"Have to, don't you?"
"There'll be sunrise soon. And me being here isn't good neither, as you know"
Aware of that without doubt, Kara is nevertheless hesitant about letting the werewolf go. Despite the cons of his presence in the apartment, the huntress relationship with the male brings unavoidable concerns and views of his well being. Kara can't overlook them that easily as she hangs close to Raze.
"About the plan, think it's safe if we meet tomorrow?"
"I'll let you know as with tonight it may not be easy, but we have to in any case."
"I concur on that. Lastly is it safe to leave through the window or the roof?"
"It's still safer through the window"
Slowly, the lupine gently stands up as he carefully moves around Kara and towards the window. He stands in front and opens it; however, the werewolf remains on his position as he instead observes with carefulness around the outside. Raze knows he needs to be sure that nothing is around to see him leave, which is why he stands there for a few minutes.
For the time being, Kara still unsure of his decision speaks out to him.
"Think it's safer for you to move around right now. I know you're careful, but what if you encounter that other lupine again, worst when you're still injured"
"Which is why me being here already poses a danger to you, while I have that other lupines' scent, he has that of me too. Am leading him to you for all we know and can't let that happen."
"Tell me then, do you perceive him around?"
Sniffing outside, Raze uses his senses up to Kara's request and being a good idea. Tracking if that other lupine might be around is something he didn't idealize about given right now circumstances. For that matter, the werewolf takes a couple of minutes to make sure everything is in order.
His nose and hearing go to explore routes and corners away from the apartment catching everything that isn't human or normal, for that matter. To him and Kara's sake fortunately there isn't anything going around that stakes out of the ordinary. Raze realizes this after that short time,
"Nothing and its better that way and with that am rest assure that you're safe, so I'll leave now."
The lupine sets foot on the window frame as he sets as usual and ready. Kara unease's more to his position and steps away from him.
"Still doesn't mean you won't find him along the way"
"I'll be ready for whatever happens, so don't worry Kara"
But the huntress isn't ready to let her lupine go so easily, for that matter.
Being her mate means caring for the big and furry beast whom the huntress does much more than Raze knows. Implying to this is that watching over for his safety comes with the bond she shares with him, a task Kara has thought of doing ever since she lured the male to her place. Same reason is why Kara takes out a syringe from a pocket as she at the same time moves behind an unsuspecting lupine.
"I trust you on that"
The huntress comment makes the lupine confident and overly distracted. Overly distracted that between getting to leave and this moment he isn't aware of Kara's next move until it's late as he feels this light sting on the back.
A confused Raze turns around just in time to see his mate injecting something onto him from a syringe inserted on his back. Dumbfounded and confused, he only sees Kara pulling out the syringe and stepping back.
"What did you do?"
"Forgive me Raze; I know that you're more than capable of dealing with the beast. But my concern for your life is greater, so I'm doing this to keep you safe and sound"
Confused at his mate's word the lupine face Kara as he ponders what she injected him with. Doesn't take long for him to learn when this sudden drowsy feeling sweeps in. Neither does the werewolf needs to ask what it is when this is the second time he experiences the lethargic sensations accompanying the situation.
"Both of us will be in danger if I sleep here."
Knowing this Raze intends to leave despite the risks and predominantly the effectiveness of the sedative. Kara sees these as well and steps with quickness just to stop a drugged lupine. She handedly pulls Raze down as she makes him step back and trip with mildness. Easy to do this given his clumsy movements and drugged induced tiredness. Raze because of the same ends up semi lying down on the floor as Kara kneels next to him.
Even though he tries to get up the female easily keeps him pin down.
"Can't protect the two of us if I am asleep."
"I doubt for the moment we're any danger big boy. You already said he isn't around and sunrise is soon so it would be risky for that monster to move. Furthermore, he could have tracked you easily ever since both of you left the park, but didn't."
"Despite that, he could be in the search for me later on, not to mention that this building is occupied. What you're doing is putting both of us in danger"
"Be at ease my furred guardian, am confident nothing will happen. So just sleep and rest".
Easier said than done for a preoccupied werewolf but there's nothing he can do about the situation. The sedative is quickly taking effect as last time, a fact proven moreover as he has a hard time keeping his eyes open. Stubbornly though he tries to fight off the effect, even knowing damn well useless.
Kara knows this and tries to calm him at what can while she pets him.
"Sleep and let me handle everything, for the moment."
"Kara....."
The lupine is cut off from consciousness as the drug finishes kicking in. Kara aware of this holds Raze before he lands head against the floor completely. She sits and places his head on her lap as she continues to pet him.
Even with the possible concerns, the huntress can't help it to observe the lupine asleep, even if he was forced to this for a second time, he seems somewhat passive and at rest. Something that Kara wants for him. But while the petting continues the huntress looks through the window observing some clarity outside with some uneasiness.
With the presence of the other werewolf confirmed and its quick encounter with Raze, Kara can't help but ponder what lies ahead now.
