Folie a Trois: Part 6
So, yeah. I lied with the last chapter, so what, sue me... on the other hand, please don't, I don't have anything to be sued for. Anyways enjoy.

Folie a Trois: Part 6 I awaken to a blur of several different colours, each only barely discernible from the others. I blink several times over and feel a crust on my eyes tear open as my vision become clear. The room itself is a pale beige with a slightly darker strip a quarter of the height to the floor. The lights are of a fluorescent nature, the constant buzzing now in my ears. At the foot of my rest place I see several balloons, a stuffed bear, and some boxes of gift candy. To my left I see a machine with a line that could only be my heartbeat followed by a constant beeping sound. To my right, lying in the green coloured couch, is the blue fur of my dreams for the past while, lying so peacefully in the couch, his chest rising and falling with the calm breaths. His orange hair is lazily tossed over his face covering his closed eyes slightly. Ouch! My back hurts like hell. I begin to try to lift myself up and feel a jolt go through my back. "Oh, fuck!" I exclaim. A pair of paws quickly stand up and the the other set grabs hold of my left paw. "You're awake!" the brown fur beside me says energetically. The furs black tipped ears erect and and he teeth begin showing though the smile on his muzzle, all the while, the long fluffy tail behind him wags erratically. "I was freaking out when I was told what had happened to you." This seems off. "And when I got here and saw you with all those wires." What was it that isn't right? "And then when I saw the tube in your muzzle, my heart almost stopped." Why is Benji here? "Shit, you have to go, quickly, and don't wake up Kujo or he'll tear you to shreds!" "Aw, come on Maxy we're all reasonable men. Kujo was the one who told me what happened. We've made a sort of treaty, at least while you were unconscious." "What exactly did happen to me? All I remember is Shayde and Kujo coming to rescue Zak and me." "Well, the robber shot at Shayde and I guess he's so badass that he deflected the bullet, unfortunately, it ricocheted and shot you in the back." "Ouch, so what happen to the whale?" "The whale? Oh the robber, Kujo did mention it was a whale didn't he, he's still out there, but Shayde is off to get him." A sudden silence befalls us and Benji looks over to the sleeping tiger in the couch. "Is he always this heavy of a sleeper?" i look over and find that Kujo has begun snoring slightly. Certainly not enough to be a disruption. "Pretty much. I remember when we were in high school, we had a sleep over. That night, I'm not sure if you heard or remember it, but there was a huge earthquake to the point where my TV fell of of it's stand and he sleep through all of it. So saying he's a heavy sleep is only an understatement." I turn my head over to find a blur of movement as Benji's ears seem to flick and smile is recreated. "Do you need anything? Water, some food, maybe an extra pillow or something?" "Um, maybe a glass of water, and could you if you could get one of the nurses to give me something to help the pain." "The glass of water is coming up," he says as he walks to the foot of the bed and pulls a pink pitcher up and pours some in a similarly coloured cup. "But I'm not sure about the mess. They already have you on a pretty heavy dose of vicoden." "Oh, alright, no worries, I'll settle with the water, thank you." He hands off the cup and lifts up the bed to a seating position, the motion of which is not the most comfortable thing I've felt. I take a quick sip of the liquid and replenish my parched lips. Benji continues to stare at me with his sad puppy eyes. I begin to open my muzzle to say something to break the awkwardness. "Listen Max, I'm sorry. What I did was inappropriate. That morning, in the studio, I saw. I saw the way he looked at you. I saw the way his eyes showed that he would do anything for you. I saw the same exact thing in you. I don't know what came over me, I guess I wanted what you had, have I guess. The whole while you were asleep he wouldn't take his eyes off of you, he's been shaking his legs like crazy trying not to piss himself. You've got such a wonderful guy, I have no idea why the hell you even gave me a thought. I promise that I won't try anything. I care for you Max, unfortunately enough to let you go." He's crying slightly now. Such a large manly male reduced to this is quite a saddening. "Quit your blubbering Benji. We forgive you, we're cool. Got it?" Kujo says as he begins getting up from his chair. "Heya Maxi. I'm so glad to see you're awake." He places a paw at the side of my face and gently strokes. "I love you." "I lo-" "Sir! Sir listen! You can't just come barging into a hospital like this! This is absurd. Sir! Furs are trying to rest!" The door of the hospital room slams open. "Alright, I got him." the black and blond labrodor barges in dragging a tied up whale. "Oh! And look who's up!" "Um, hey Shayde. And Zak." The vastly differentiated fur behind Shayde gives a faint smile. "Alright, now say like we practiced!" he picks the whale up to his feet and pushes him to the foot of the bed. The whale shows disgust on his face and punctuates it with a slight growl which Shayde obviously picks up on as he unsheathes his blade a few inches as audibly as a blade could unsheathe. The whale's Adam's apple bobs. "I'm sorry for breaking in, taking you hostage, and shooting you in the back. There is that good enough?" Shayde's menacing scowl turns to a content smile. "Yep, now get your ass out of here lest my blade taste whale meat, and I'm not talking about the one in my paw." He snickers and the whale runs out of the room as the snicker becomes a maniacal laugh. "Ah. It's good to see you awake and not either bound or freshly shot. I guess it's somewhat better to see you in a hospital bed." My eyes widen. "Kujo! There's no way we could afford any of this. We have to get the hell out of here. Damn it, now we're going to have to search for another job just to pay for my hospital room. I'm sorry Kujo." "Yo, relax a bit there Maxi." "Then what's happening?" "I'll be the answer to that question" Benji raises his paw slightly. "I've already put my credit card to be used for any expenses that you accumulate from this hospital visit. And I've actually been wandering if the two of you wanted to move in. It would certainly spare you from paying rent of that, sorry to say, dumpy apartment." "Oh, Benji, there's no way I could let us do that." Kujo speaks up." "Come on, it's fine. I've actually wanted some company, it gets awfully lonely in that big house all by myself." "I'm not so sure." "Fine! How about I hire you both as live in security guards?" "If you put it that way, I guess we could use the money. That is, of course, if you're okay with it Max," Kujo says uneasily. "I think it's a brilliant idea." "Then it's settled, just let me make a quick phone call." He pulls out his iPhone and quickly dials a number and walks out of the room. "You know what I'm thinking?" Zak says with a smile on his face. Shayde looks over to him with a similar smile. "Housewarming party!" They both shout out. Zak pulls out his phone and begins madly typing away. "The doctors said you could go home today, by the way." "Alright, your stuff should be in your new home by the time we check you out and get there. When are the party guests getting there?" Shayde and Zak look at him with smiles. "Of course you two are moving in as well right? I'd love to have someone like you on my security team." He conspicuously looks up and down the two toned shirtless Shayde. "Hell, why not?" "I was planning on getting a job that I could stay closer to friends anyways and not have to travel all the time." "Sweet let's go!" I begin lifting myself out of the bed and take the wires and the IV out. I get into the wheelchair that Kujo pulls out from beside the bed. He then wheels me through the hallways, down the elevator and to the front desk. "Hi, we're here to check out our buddy Max here!"
