Burning Day
The year is thirty twenty-five and war has left much of the world to become covered in ice, fire and sand so I have been told. I would say the sun rises but in truth it never sets but moves from high in the sky to low on the horizon.
The early morning breeze swept warmly across the sand waking me as sand pelted my exposed and dirtied face. Lifting the torn blanket that covered me I sat up facing away from the stinging dusty wind to search the barren sand dunes around me, there was no sign of followers from the way I had come or anything of interest and defiantly nothing alive. This world had been destroyed thirty some years before I was born, but I had heard it was once a world of peace and it was believed a young inventor had come up with a solve to all energy needs with a self-sufficient generator and engine made of a series of magnets to move through space at a high velocity but he would not build it or tell how unless the world agreed to peace, unfortunately he was assassinated some years later and it died with him plunging the world in to a darkness it hadn't seen before.
Rolling up the blanket I tied it and slung it around my waist starting to walk in the day's heat before it would become too warm and I would have to start digging. The days were supposed to be three past earth days but having never known how time was kept it meant nothing to me except that when the sun was high the surface was turned to glass and anyone trapped above would burn away in seconds. It was said that only half of the earth was this way and it was a family goal to find the place where the sun would set and water stayed on the ground, as it was now I would have to dig in the coldest of times when the sun was low to capture condensation or drink from the plant of life.
Stopping momentarily I opened a small canister on my side and pulled what looked to be a soggy slimy plant from inside. Careful not to waste I took a lick of the foul fluid to wet my parched throat closing it quickly to save the moisture, while my father was alive he had taught me of a plant that lived under the glass layers of earth that would keep you alive if it was kept contained and it would keep its self-alive for an unknown amount of time. Mine had been with me since the last burning day and luckily so, for, to actually dig one up was just my luck while attempting to escape the heat of burning day. my thoughts went over my old home and how it had become overridden with the animal like creatures my father had told me were creations of man to keep life itself alive because they were stronger faster and smarter but man couldn't except this and vowed their destruction. Living were we did the majority of survivors, we called ourselves, believed the new worlders, we called them, were evil creations of man and should all be destroyed so when they came from the air and stepped into the streets our people immediately took arms against them and my people were slaughtered while I alone escaped and haven't seen a sole since nor have I returned.
My thoughts drifted over my home, a city dug deep into the ground were an old sky scraper stuck out of the sand only three floors of the twenty. A shudder went through me and I opened the canister again for another lick of the slimy fluid that somehow kept us all alive until that fateful moment just after day when the new worlders took my home, tripping suddenly I fell to the ground smashing the plant to the sand landing on my hands and knees. Kneeling over the plant where I had fallen I watched it wriggled and screeched as it died. I felt nothing but a smile come to my face and deja
vu swept through me as I had seen this image and heard this screech in my mind once before, however, no one I had ever known knew what would happen if the all too valuable plant was damaged only that they would disappear if left out and it was never known what became of them.
Gathering what was left of the sandy dead thing I put it back into the canister as blood dripped from my left hand, inspecting the wound I pulled jagged bits of glass from my palm.
"you're going to die out here you know" I thought to myself, I had only a small shovel made from some kind of flat green and white metal and it had markings I didn't understand. Picking a spot I started digging but found nothing after reaching my full body length in depth, picking a new spot I started again. As I dug carefully so as to not damage the plant if I found one, my thoughts went over how much I had heard that the plants would only come to the surface just after the burning day while the glass was still there. And I had just survived my first on my own.
I thanked every moment I had spent under the hot sand for my father to have taught me to breath using the plant that somehow made its own atmosphere, which must have been how it survived under the sand for so long, holding the canister to my mouth and focusing hard not to breathe any more than necessary or loose what little room I had to dig myself out again. One didn't have to dig too far to escape the heat for the glassy surface would reflect most of the heat but to move would cause cave in and if you didn't go deep enough or at the right angle you would bake in your hole with nothing you could do to escape the horrible fate.
After so long of digging the sun had come half mark in the sky and the heat was nearing too much to bare but without my plants precious atmosphere I would die, pulling the top off the canister I went to pull the plant out but all that was left was a gray slop that reeked of sulfur and I dared not drink nor breathe it. Capping the canister once more I saved it for a last resort and continued digging despite my lack of sleep or dehydration. Finishing another countless whole I leaned against the wall huffing and my head spun. Sinking to the ground I groaned and held my hurting stomach and my body ached. suddenly I felt something cold against my thinly clothed back and turned to see a wet spot on the wall, carefully I brushed away the sand and slime started to drip as I dug and licked sharp sand and foul slime not caring if I got cut from the sharp pieces of glass that had yet to ware down over time until the sand and slime just fell away to revile a tunnel.
Digging along the slime filled tunnel I came to a bigger pocket just as I had before and was surprised to see not one but several tiny plants all bunched together. gathering the mushroom like things carefully they squirmed and squeaked in my hand as I dumped the previous contents wiping the sulfuric now yellow fluid from the inside of the canister and placed the weird creatures inside after taking a lick or two to quench my parched throat. I had never seen one move before and usually they were limp and floppy like cloth. Taking up my bent green and white metal I began digging to the side and down now to in attempt to make shelter for the coming burn.
Finally finished I placed the blanket at the end of the adjacent tunnel to block the heat and wind when the burn began and lay at the end to sleep drinking heavily on the copious amount of fluid I now had, as I broke the seal on the canister it hissed from compression and the tunnel became a little less musty making breathing much easier.
"THUMP!" suddenly the blanket was ripped aside and a small fox crouched at the entrance of my tunnel blocking me in. he stared at me as if he were afraid and reached out an open palm shaking as he did and panting heavily as if he were running. We only sat staring at one another each waiting for the other to react while his singed fur steamed.
"SSSSHHHHHKKKKKHHHOOOOO!!!" the air began to vibrate and I knew the burn had begun and neither the fox nor I would be leaving at any time soon. As I hesitated the fox reached out his other paw like hand as if he were holding water and he pretended to drink. Understanding what he wanted I handed the fox the canister and he poured a small amount into his maw before handing it back then he turned very slowly never looking away and grabbed the blanket replacing it as it was before.
The air quickly became stale and hot but I had dug deep enough that the heat would not rise anymore. The sound of glass cracking was sign that the surface of the tunnel would be sealed and darkness would fill the whole for a full burning day. Before the darkness took over I reached out to the creature carefully holding my hands out as if to push he backed away as far as he could and I waited like that until he moved forward again his left paw to my much smaller right hand then the other and darkness embraced us. Pulling him closer I waited until the air became hard to breathe, which came much faster than usual, and reached both hands out in the dark of the burn to grasp the canister. We opened it together and the hiss of the seal breaking made him jump and his claws pricked at my hands causing chills to run down my back knowing this animal could take a bite out of my face at any moment.
Trust... the word went through my mind like a knife in one's heart. I wasn't sure were this creature had come from or why it had chosen to jump into my whole and not to make its own. I squeezed gently on his paws twice as if to sign. And he returned the gesture, pulling him with me I lay down on the hot sand.
"Can you speak" I asked hoping for some sort of return but nothing came. Our hands became limp in each other's grasp then I heard it speak softly.
"tok... yithh." Its voice was odd almost like it had to huff to speak. "ta suwerss ta tek ma ta... taaa annnnt ket me. He spoke slowly struggling to make his point and his paws trembled. a shiver ran down my spine as I felt him move suddenly then the hair rose all over my body as I felt the warm dry of his nose touch my cheek then his long muzzle rubbed against me then he lay back down.
"Peace" I said afraid of what may come.
"Eeessss" he said suddenly and loudly and his tail began to thump the walls causing sand to begin falling around us. His paws left my hands and I thought it was all over then they returned shakily with the end of his tail in his left paw. We were silent for a moment fearing the whole would collapse then he broke out into a laughter I would never forget, it sounded human. Then something wet hit my hand and he brought our hands to his face were he wiped tears from his eyes and he repeated it again softer "eeesss" his grasp released his tail and he slowly pulled his paws from my hands to see if I would trust him. I wasn't sure if I should but he seemed to trust me.
I awoke to paws moving about me then grasping my hands were they moved again to touch his nose and muzzle and he licked my hands trying to say something between licks. "neee...ahh nee" he sounded desperate and his paws were shaking in my hands as he gasped for breath. Finding the canister I popped the top open and fluid sprayed out from compression making my ears pop as he began lapping at the slimy mess cleaning it from my hands before drinking from canister and panting heavily as he handed it back. The thought was odd to me but I understood his need and was glad he had awoken me or we may have both suffocated or worse the plants die from compression.
As his breathing calmed our hands joined out of habit I figured and took his paws into my own my mind centering in on the softly furred fingers and padded palm and fingers. My mind pondered over the possibilities of what may become of us after this, whether he would go his separate way or if he would kill me and take my precious canister for his own. His soft breathing told me he was asleep as my mind drifted until all thought stopped at the loud crack that warned the end of day was nearing. Soon a storm would tare the sheets of glass from the surface of the barren land turning everything to a deadly dance of shattered glass until only sand remained.
Soon the cracking became more frequent until the sound of shattering glass and whistling of immense winds was all that could be herd, holding my ears the sudden movement woke the fox and I thought I could feel his heart race, it was as if this were his first day, then as his paws came into mine once more I felt a spot on his wrist that had no fur. Tracing this line around his wrist a chill rose in me at the realization of what had happened to this poor creature.
The feeling of a dry nose pushed at my tracing hand as he pushed my hand from the evidence of his horrid past. I found myself petting the foxes head from the back of his ears down the back of his neck and before I could end the suddenly embarrassing gesture he embraced me and I could hear him begin to cry. I didn't know what to do or say as he whimpered softly against me shaking in distraught. Then as if sensing my discomfort he pulled away curling up next to the blanket by the entrance to the whole I labored over approximately two days ago now and nearing the end of the burning day.
Awaking again I could hear the sound of fluid hitting the sand and the smell of urine was strong in the air. I thought about how long we had been in the whole and I had urinated on the other side of the blanket at least six times and I think this was the first time I had noticed him doing so poor thing was probably self-concise and afraid I would become angry with it. The sound of digging was followed by the fox returning to our side of the tattered blanket and he lay down directly in front of it.
After some time the sound of wind could no longer be heard and we stepped towards the entrance of the makeshift cave wearily digging around the thick layer of glass that filled the opening of the whole, once on the surface we each looked to the sun were it stayed in the sky never moving except to rise and fall making it easy to navigate. Looking to one another I pointed in the direction I was headed and he seemed to look around for a moment then started kicking and digging at the sand. Watching intently I was puzzled until he pointed to the sun then at the circle on the ground showing me a large map then he made a spot on the far left of the larger of the two circles and one not far from it but more towards the center, I looked at him confused and he pointed in the way I had then drew an arrow from the center most spot to the center of the circle then pointed at the sun again gesturing to the center of the circle once more.
"Im going the wrong way" I said aloud watching as he nodded then drew a small square at the edge most spot I knew represented my home and pointed the way I had come. Falling to my knees self-realization struck me like a ton of the sharp hot sand beneath my feet. Again he stepped to the circle and began drawing muttering some unknown jumble of sounds.
"Eeet not tafrrnn ta gat ta nita iff ena on eh?" his tail wagged and he looked to me as if some great point had been made then drooped to the sand along with his ears which fell flat to the top of his head and he began walking sadly in the direction of my home. Rising to my feet I began in the same way looking back at the circle then paused.
"Hey" the fox turned at my call and raised his ears for a moment then splayed them. I motioned him back and he ran up to me half-heartedly. "What is past here I said motioning to the area between my home and the side of the circle. He hesitated for a moment then shrugged and pointed to the square that looked as if my home and put his paws together in fists knuckle's away from him as if he were bound and pointed to the sky then at the empty side of the circle and gestured at knee level like a measurement of height I didn't understand. Shrugging I pointed to the way he said to go and shrugged again he through a paw in my direction and huffed starting to walk again.
Frustrated I followed him and watched as we walked the sway of his tail behind him wondering what it would be like to have such appendages remembering the time in the whole when his wagging almost killed us both. Chuckling softly I came to walk beside him and he looked over to me questionably I merely gave him a playful push but he jumped away too quick for me to even touch him.
Looking down I paused for a moment and looked back up to him and held out my paws as I had done just before darkness had fallen and he pawed at me from where he was his tail wagging slowly and he took his place by my side once more and our journey continued. My attention came to him again as I looked him over.
"So do you know what happened to the world?" My question stopped him dead in his tracks and he backed away a step. "I never knew" he shook his head and held out a paw I reached for my canister and he chuckled taking a drink then motioned as if to dig. Handing him the metal I took a drink myself and watched as he drew a circle again this time making look like a paper map I had seen on my father's wall it was his prize and he stared at it all the time.
Next he began looking around as if searching for something the drew a square and pointed at it tapping his head "emerr home" home... that's one word I know so far, I nodded at him and watched as he drew lines and things I couldn't place. Shrugging we stared at each other for a moment.
He spoke carefully and slowly. "Effer nee" I nodded and he pointed at me
"Before you" I repeated
He smiled and wagged his tail. "Effer nee nan" he said pointing at me "nade a nay ta nake enady nn na thrrt ta." He chuckled and went on "we arr thrrta ta Nan nn nade a taya ta contanta.... Ahh tatatall natin dendanata" his ears splayed and he motioned to himself and made as if to turn something really hard then threw his hands into the air with one on his throat. "anta na ta nan ta klll uth."
"Ok" I said "so what I got from that... we needed you to do something we couldn't and we tried to kill ya after that." He only shrugged and nodded and I was happy to end the conversation at that chuckling as we began to walk again.
After some time of walking I had become tired and wanted to sleep. Grasping his shoulder he jumped and fled my grasp growling before realizing I meant no harm then held out his paws as I had before and got down to his knees as if in apology. I only pulled the blanket from my back and lay it down then the canister motioning him over. As he walked up I patted his shoulder and let him drink first, popping the compressed canister he drank as the fluid poured down his hand and on to his bare chest.
Looking him over again I found him to be so humanly shaped I think the only animal thing on him was his head and tail. My mind wandered over this for a moment then as he passed the canister over I noticed something odd I hadn't before. His crotch wasn't there except for his testicals and some kind of round hunk of skin that hung next to them. Taking a drink I washed the odd thought from my mind with the foul fluid and we sat on the blanket each looking to the other.
How the hell does this stuff keep us alive, this is all I've known but my father always says he misses the taste of food? The fox licked his lips and shook a finger. Then thought for a moment and stood in front of me first motioning to knee level then his own height then he began to walk as if he were aged and motioned to the canister and drew a circle in the sand.
I wasn't sure what he meant at first then he took the canister and made like he was turning something and pointed at it. "Ee nan ta tlent Tes a shtalenta."
"You did it?" I questioned just guessing his meaning and he nodded and motioned to the circle then acted aged again and shook a finger and posed flexing his arms and placed a hand over his heart.
"Keep you strong?" I asked and he answered by drawing a circle and didn't stop but kept going around and around. "No way" I said, He nodded.
Lying out on the blanket I left a little room beside me obviously for him but instead he lay in front of me on the sand thumping his tail on the ground before getting up and walking over a near dune to do business.
Lying on my side I awoke hopefully not long after laying down so as to not waist too much of the cool day. Opening my eyes carefully so as to not get blasted by wind or glass I noticed a paw over me and warmth at my back were the fox had lain behind me. Getting up slowly I left him lay sleeping for a moment as I looked him over, he had rings on his wrists from bondage and what looked to be a fading one on his neck. Petting his shoulders softly I woke him and he rose carefully shielding his eyes from the breeze out of habit just as I had.
We sat for a moment now beside each other waking up before we would trek on probably tell the end of cool day if we hadn't made it yet.
"so where do you come from" I asked but he only stared at the sand in thought before looking up at me then rose to his feet and began to draw in the sharp sand, as he drew I thought back to having his paws in my own and it was no wonder the glass never cut him between his fur and tough pads I don't think sharp sand would be enough but just as if to answered my wonderment he pulled up a paw to pull a glass splinter from it sucking on his hand.
Looking over the drawing I could see something squiggly like a wrinkle or windblown sand next to flat with lots of squares I knew to be homes.
"I don't recognize any of that but homes" he patted my shoulder and hugged me then moved to rolling up the blanket for me. Taking a drink from the canister I watched him as he worked thinking about what he had drawn and how old he might be then wondered about what he had said about making the plant. "So did you make the plant or your people?" he stopped and looked at me tilting his head and tossed the blanket to me. Pointing in the direction we were going.
"That's why they chained you. Im so sorry... I don't understand why they would do something like that." He barked angrily at me growling. "Hey! I didn't take you ok they did I would help you no matter your past." His ears splayed atop of his head and he wiped tears from his eyes pointing at me and motioning like work then as if to cut his own throat and dropped to his knees hands bound.
"I aas ta tirss off all meh ettlll" then he motioned to draw something and made a circle on the ground over and over again then again hands bound.
I stood watching him cry and held out my hands in peace as I had done that first day and he came to push a wet paw against my own then hugged me.
"so how did you find me?" my question made him look me in the face and he looked to the sand and drew a square in the sand with a small padded foot paw unlike my own another anomaly I hadn't noticed before, then it hit me, "my home?" he nodded "NO!" they wouldn't, he nodded. "Why not go with them then they are your ki-." But before I could finish he barked loudly and growled pointing from me to him and made as if to cut his throat twice. "I don't understand why they wouldn't embrace you as their own" he answered me by making as if to work then pointed at me. "Well. I chuckled and he tilted his head ears back. At least we have humor." He sighed and hugged me for making light of the dreadfully awkward situation.
"So why fallow me?" I questioned as we began to walk. And he pointed at me then shook a finger and acted as if to fight and swing something. "Because I chose not to fight" he nodded and we walked on.
Several hours went by as we walked and my mind pondered over the words that had passed between us like a burning in my mind, just then he tapped my shoulder and I looked over to see an out stretched paw and a warm smile waiting. Handing him the canister I watched as he popped the top once again spraying fluid as we had forgotten and a pressure had built up inside. As the fox stood lapping the fluid from his paws I watched intently waiting my turn taking mental note that he stood only a bit Toller than myself which to me was odd. Most new worlders were spoken of as huge beasts, just then I spotted something I thought as well was odd, the shape of his tongue then as he flicked it out again to lick across his for arm I saw it. The tip of his tongue had been cut to keep him from being able to talk. This was done to those who committed heinous crimes against my people and they were banished to wander the burning day.
Taking the canister I drank thankfully and replaced the top returning the smile proudly beaming happy that I had been so fortunate to meet the man that had changed this world then the smile faded as I saw now what we had done in return causing the fox to tilt his head questioningly.
"I wish we weren't so hateful" my words must have struck odd in his mind because of the way he snorted and shook his head.
It wasn't much longer or at least it didn't seem as though much time had gone as it never does with a lack of way to tell until it was too hot to bare and too hot to dig then you would die trapped, now however we could see the black dot in the distance that was my home and this rose a sick feeling in my stomach. Looking over to the fox I saw only a smile as he stared on at the vast empty, suddenly feeling distraught I stopped and he immediately turned to see the matter.
"the burn is coming" I said looking to the sun that still had a little ways higher tell one dared to be outside my old home.
"We can make it" he replied and took a step towards me looking again to the black spot it seemed to have grown then ripple. Matching my gaze he threw himself on me tarring the blanket from my back.
"Stay down! He yelled" and threw the blanket atop of me followed by sand as he dug next to me then all that could be herd was his footsteps fading away in the distance time passed and I didn't dare move but worry plagued me as much as the heat. Time seemed to stand still as I lay in wait of its passing only assuming the danger then something came to me, the canister. I couldn't feel it on its string at my waist. Turning my head I peeked out careful not to get a sharp shard of sand glass in my eyes. Seeing nothing my heart began to race at the thought I was had, then a loud crash fallow by the sound of a zipper and the blanket was torn from me and sand blew all around me.
My first thought was the day and there wasn't even time to start digging and I didn't have the metal. Then I could hear laughter as the wind died and saw the fox running towards some giant thing I could only describe as an elongated round thing as tall as me and twice as long end to end.
Running to his side I grabbed at his paw in attempts to get the delirious fox's attention but couldn't quite grasp him as he hurriedly searched the side for something then with a whoosh an opening appeared and I took a step back in fear stepping on the canister not too long forgotten, picking it up I popped the top not caring about the slight compression that sprayed fluid on my hands. Taking a drink I watched as he climbed in, out and around the thing searching and laughing.
"What is it" I asked handing him the canister and he drank happily.
"Tith rrr ayyatta ha hah!" I shook my head at his response. Placing a hand on his shoulder I stopped him from his searching and he turned to face me an awkward smile on his muzzle. I hesitated and the smile faded.
"What is your name fox?" his look turned to dismay and he looked to the ground and pawed a series of numbers into the sand and didn't look up.
Petting down his neck to his shoulder I scolded myself inside for the weird action I kept giving him each time I saw him in pain but the look he gave me filled me with a feeling I thought would bring tears to my eyes and with a smile on his muzzle again he threw his arms around me in another embrace I wouldn't forget. The embrace from a man I had only recently met was so odd to me but felt so good to know I had brought happiness in his life. As the hug parted I saw him wipe his cheek as he entered the thing again this time returning with a mass of wire and steel and he sat right in front of me unwrapping the tangled mess containing a shaft and two like circles of steel.
Looking up at me the fox motioned for me to get something as wide as his chest and curved from inside, hesitating I stepped into the opening and saw three steel plates stacked in-between what looked to be places to sit and more wire. Grabbing the heavy steel I dropped them heavily at his side. Watching him work I saw him wrapping the wire around the round steel, as I watched he noticed my investigation of his work and showed me how the shaft would spin between the two circles but I saw nothing for them to set on then he motioned for the curved steel plate to set just off of it making less since.
After a long time of this it had begun to get hot and we were running out of time. standing up suddenly I hurried to grab the canister popping the top to release the compression, taking a drink I handed him the canister and he pulled a very still but dripping plant from inside and it had grown considerably. Handing me the canister I could see now that it was the only one inside, looking up to him he put his hands together and held up one finger. Tilting my head he laughed and shrugged standing and pointed at the plates and got inside the big metal thing pulling a large metal frame from inside.
After some time of helping the fox tare metal slabs from the exterior of the thing he placed the thing he had been working on into the frame using wire to fix it still and made a cross over his chest and started turning it, the small metal shaft spun as fast as he could spin it clanking lighter and lighter for some time before he let it go and it spun all by its self at the same speed. I watched in astonishment not understanding what was taking place. The fox scrambled quickly placing the steel plate in my arms and grunted holding it out carefully then moved to the spinning device and the plates clanked to it hard as if drawn and it picked up speed fast. He dragged me behind the big metal thing and held my hands in his paws with his eyes closed. After several minutes of nothing happening he peaked around the corner and jumped with joy.
Confused I joined him by his side as he looked the thing over as it spun as if magically in-between the two circles. Getting my attention he motioned forwards and backwards nodding then side to side shaking his head then slowly moved side to side then up and down he shook his head and again up and down carefully. Not understanding he pulled me on to the big hunk of steel he had fixed the spinning device to as well as a large pipe looking thing in the middle with wires coming out of both sides, one going to wrap around a plastic soft tube between it and the device then to the device its self and the other end in his paw.
gripping a wire tied to the front end of the metal slab we sat on he handed me one as well to hold on to then carefully touched the pipe wire to the part of the wire wrapped around the soft tube farthest from the device and the whole slab jolted forward causing the spinning device to clank and bounce slightly and he shook his head wrapping more wire around the tube and touched it again and nothing happened slowly he moved down the wrapping until the slab we sat on began to drag across the sand scooping it on the front.
Jumping off he scratched his head and went back to the big heap of metal first handing me the wire and shook a finger at me. Looking over the big plate we sat on I could see it had moved only a few inches and we could hardly move it ourselves, how this thing worked was all making my head hurt and the heat was growing with every second. Looking again to where I had seen the black figure before I saw nothing but knew just beyond was my home hidden in the sand.
He returned and started digging the sand from in front of the slab placing my green metal on the front of it and bent it in half and tied it there with more wire hopping back on he grabbed the wire and hugged me happily and motioned to the whole craft and pointed to himself proudly and motioned again to work.
"You made this too huh" he nodded in answer and we began sliding forward at his command.
The ride was amazing even if the sand stung, there were several times we had to slow down so as to not kill the spinning device but soon we came to a flat plane and were going so fast I feared for my life but the fox had not a care in the world. I couldn't take much of the fast movement before I was puking over the side and the fox pet my neck and shoulders caringly as I sat with my eyes closed just wishing for it all to stop but soon it was so hot the metal beneath us was starting to burn to the touch.
After a while I had spread the blanket across to sit on and we each shard a drink as we watched the large building top come into view and grow closer fast then there was a loud clank and all went black.
I awoke to the smell I remembered as my room and my head pounded groaning I puked over the side of my bed and fell in it and black embraced me once more. Stinging pain burned in my back and I was bound to a padded bed then hot searing pain made me scream out along with the sound of my flesh burning and I could see bloody glass on the floor as he dropped another piece with the rest. The bounds on my hands came loose but I didn't want to move, his paw stroked my shoulders and I winced expecting pain again but only soothing soft paws could be felt. He knelt in front of me and made me drink from the canister I knew too well.
Awaking again I looked around and there was light every were, coming from weird white rods above. I had seen these before but never knew what they were and no one cared to bother them knowing the broke and made glass everywhere.
"Fox!" I yelled and he burst into the room from my father's old room to kneel by my side.
"et u heh" he grasp my hand into his soft paws and I went to hug him but my back burned like fire and my head throbbed.
"thoo ack arr ut nnn head ssnashsh sann" I could make out from his expression I was hurt bad and tears came to his eyes as he leaned in placing his lips to mine then pulled away quickly placing a paw to his muzzle and the tears flowed quickly as he took a step back. I sat in shock staring at him then made to stand up wincing at the pain in my back and he came to help me stand.
Standing up now I took his face in my hands petting his cheek in one and pulling him closer by the waist with the other I placed my lips to his again and a rush swept over me like I had never felt before. He shuddered in my arms and he licked my lips as we broke the kiss. He stared into my eyes with golden eyes that nearly matched his fur and a single tear drop streaked down his cheek and down his smile.
Matching what he and done I licked across his lips slowly and kissed him again grinding my hips against him despite the constant dull ache in my back as we made out until I could take it no more, then I had to sit down, taking this opportunity the fox undid my pants making my stomach flutter at his touch and I became self-conscious knowing I was very slender and lacking of muscle. He didn't care though as soon as my pants were open he looked up at me and licked a ticklish but pleasurable spot on my hip with that long tongue and again on the other side more slowly electing a groan from me as the muscles twitched from stimulation.
Pressing his nose to my crotch he sniffed and the cold wetness felt good as I humped against him placing a hand to his head and neck petting gently as that tongue came slowly just above my crotch along the top of my waist band. Pulling the band down he grabbed hold of my slender cock about six inches long and thick enough to be a hand full and started lapping slowly countless times until I cried out and came for the first time on his lips and maw as he lapped fully at the base of my cock at the sensitive spot between it and my thigh.
Leaning against him I pet him lovingly and huffed for breath enjoying this new experience to the fullest wishing it could never end and then he looked up at me again with those beautiful golden eyes and smiled.
"ah luv yoo" his voice was gentle and he rest his head on my leg as I finished catching my breath and pulled him up to stand in front of me where I lay my head against him before noticing the inch of pink poking out of his sheath I had noticed before. The musky smell was new and I liked it, placing a hand on his inner thigh I looked up at him as if to ask permission and he staired down at me with his ears perked and a loving smile on his face as he nodded. Letting my hand wander up over the soft furr I cupped his balls feeling them as the first time in my life I had felt one other than my own and they were bigger than mine, much bigger. Rolling them in my hand I rubbed my cheek lovingly on his hip nuzzeling against the sift spots he and licked gaining the same moans I had given then moved my hand to his sheath and my other to his tail base to hold him steady and feel his tight butt.
Stroking the cock inside by grasping the sheath and using it to stroke up and down he dance from foot to foot moaning before pushing my hand away and grabbing it himself and pulled it down over his Knott. Looking up at him questioningly he smiled at me encouragingly and I gripped the red shaft stroking tenderly and he closed his eyes. Thinking about what he had done I hesitated then pulled him forward and took the shaft into my mouth careful not to let it touch my teeth and pulled it free lapping as he had gaining again moans and a gentle throb as it grew in my had.
Reaching down he guided my hand to the base of his cock behind the shaft and held my hand there placing the other paw on my head he guided the tip into my mouth and began humping my hand gently and moaning loudly. Before long he was breathlessly panting and something musky started squirting into my mouth, spitting it to the floor I pointed it away from me and looked up to him and he shrugged and shifted to point it away still holding my hand and started humping. before long I had both hands on him and was watching as his Knott grew to double its size. Becoming brave I took the shaft into my mouth again as much as I could making him cry out and a rush of fluid burst into my mouth I knew was like the fluid I had produced. Remembering how he had happily licked it from me I swallowed this time and it was different from before but still musky.
After three or four swallows I pulled the cock from my mouth and let him hump at my hands before the flow stopped and wiped cum from my chin.
As he caught his breath I pulled him over to lay with me on the little bead and we cuddled closely licking and kissing sharing the taste of his cum with one another before sleep came and I felt as happy as I had ever been in that little bed in my entire life.
