A Timelord's Adventure: Onyxheart's Homecoming
Another soul is lost but this time on Earth.
"Alone again." Arsen huffed as he looked at the main doors. "Well... no, I know you're there." He chuckled as he heard the Tardis reaffirm that he was still with him. "How can I forget m'best friend right?" Arsen spoke up as if he needed to let the Tardis hear his words rather than accept them psychically. He walked through the bottom half of the console before he made it into the hallway and into the bathroom before he centered himself underneath on of the shower heads. With a wave of his paw, the hot water rained down over the back of his neck and shoulders, rushing down his back. The large Tiger just stood there for what must have been an eternity before his mind raced in many different directions and dimensions at once. He thought about his past experiences, his encounters, the War, reconfiguring the Tardis before he closed his eyes and lifted his head into the stream of water. The sensation of it pelting his forehead, eyelids, muzzle, cheeks... nose just made his mind blank for a moment before he slowly cleaned himself from the little bit of fun he had with Jericho.
Arsen took his time as he stood in the drying station, letting the water wick away from his fur before walking across the hall into his room. He ran through his selection of clothing before finding the pair of leather pants he liked. This version had the panel open on the outside of the hips that ran down the length of the pants leg, only held together with a crisscross of leather cords. The crotch laced up from underneath the middle of the pants up to the waistband. The Timelord picked up his cloak before made a few modifications to it to allow the wings to slip out should he need to activate them. Finally, he put his laser screwdriver into one of the pants pockets and grabbed his wallet with the psychic paper before stashing that away. He drew up the hood so only a few inches of his muzzle were visible.
The Timelord walked out into the black halls with the blue roundels glowing softly in the background before he stopped short of the console room. The room had been fleshed out more than just a black room with the console running up and down in the center of it. On the first level, there was the central column that ran down into the flooring, surrounded by a large circle of metal grating that lead into the heart of the Tardis. Stairs helixed from down at the heart level, up to the first and second level. Surrounding the main level was black furniture with blue seats covers with a white fur rug along one side of the room. The other side had black fur with white furniture with red seat covers. "You've done some decorating... haven't you?" Arsen laughed as he walked across the fur rug to feel the softness of it against his hindpaws. It was dense like alpaca fur and felt wonderful to walk on. There were two fireplaces that seemed impossible to have anywhere else as there was no chimney but the fire itself produced no smoke, just heat.
Arsen walked up the metal grated stairs to see his console had changed slightly as well. The panels were a silvery white with ebony accents. The readouts were what you would expect to see in a futuristic Time Machine with more touch based controls and a few tactile controls like buttons and levers with the all important emergency break in the shape of a paw print underneath the flight control panel. The rotor itself remained the same with the crystal configuration and the living spark of energy floating in the center of the rotor's casing. The console level, also known as the second level, had metal walkways leading out towards the two sides with a circular railing around the console itself to overlook the massive first floor. The main doors themselves were standing proud on the first floor.
The Tiger ran his fingers along the newly formed console and got a feel for the different panels Navigation, Environmental, Exterior, Power, Artron Mainframe, Informational. He felt as if this was the best configuration. There were six large metal pillars that ran from the top of the Rotor, down to the first floor level, leaving a star field above his head as the ceiling. "Thank you old friend." He said before the Tardis responded, which brought a smile to his face. He slipped over to the navigational panel before with a quick toss of his right arm, his cloak opened and the right side rested over his shoulder as he was about to enter a new random destination before the informational panel lit up like a christmas tree.
Arsen slipped over to the panel before he looked over the information about Earth. The Timelord sighed softly as he looked up at the Time Rotor as if it was the Tardis's face and shook his head. "We're not suppose to approach Earth... You know that." The readout spilled data across the screen about a target that was ripped from one dimension and displaced much like Terry. "I know... I know, we can't exactly ignore that. The damage has to be repaired and the time line restored... But what about the Doctor." The Tardis console beeped before Arsen nodded. "And you're sure... he can't follow us?" The Tardis chimed in before Arsen held his paws up and nodded. "Ok... I'll trust you." He walked over to the navigation panel before he inputed the time and space coordinates in before he puffed his cheeks and flipped the materialization level.
It was a short and bumpy ride as they exited out over Earth before the informational panel light up with the comms going off the moment they stepped into Earth's space. Arsen moved over to pull the monitor down over the panel and flicked it on. "Who is this?! And where did you get a Tardis... nevermind that... A War Tardis from?! Answer me, I demand to know." Arsen moved the monitor over to the navigational panel before plugging in for a dimensional jump. "Doctor... We were never meant to meet. The rules were clear that you must remain alone until Gallifrey is restored." The Doctor's face filled the monitor screen as he looked around the interior of the Tardis before looking at the Timelord... "You... Impossible. How did you survive?! Nevermind that... Why are you here, especially in a War Tardis." Arsen was hesitant to answer questions before he looked up into the monitor and sighed. "A lost soul was ripped from their dimension... I came to return him home. Once I do... I'll leave you be." The Doctor shook his head. "Are there others? Why can't I sense them... or you for that matter. Wait... Please, don't go. I just want to talk."
Arsen shook his head, feeling sorry for the lone Timelord, knowing how lonely it feels. "I can't Doctor. I'm sorry. I shouldn't even be here now." He said as he looked away. "Is this my punishment... for locking away Gallifrey?" The Doctor said as he looked as if tears were ready to stream down from his eyes at any moment. "I understand why you did what you did... I don't know if many would have the resolve you did to destroy the original Eye of Harmony... and witness the Time Lock of the whole War from the outside. You are a hero and the universe doesn't know it." Arsen's throat went dry as he let his head hang down over his chest. "But, I must say m'goodbyes... And hope one day, you restore Gallifrey one way or another." The Doctor placed his hand next to the screen. "I don't want to be alone..." Arsen reached up and placed his paw on the screen. "None of us do." Arsen reached down and gripped small lever as the Tardis warmed up for a dimensional jump. "Please... Stay for a little longer... Talk to me... You can't go..." Arsen looked up as a tear rolled down the side of his broad muzzle. "I must. The rule stands and already I violated a prim directive."
The monitor blipped off before Arsen was graced with seeing the famous blue police box for possibly the last time before space opened up around him and enveloped the Tardis with a flash of light. Earth looked the same as it before Arsen's dimensional jump but he knew there something he must address. With heavy hearts, he set course for 21st century America in a small seaboard town in Georgia. The Tardis slowly materialized outside a dock on the far east side of the town. Arsen walked across the hall and into the Dimensional Induction Chamber. Once inside, the Tardis started to show sections of the town starting with the immediate vicinity before branching outward. The Tardis began to home in on the dimensional energy before the trail of it was all over the town, making it harder to zero in on it. The Tiger decided to wait till nightfall before he slipped out to find the individual that was displaced.
Once nightfall came, the Tiger walked out of the Tardis to see it was in the form on a old rusty maintenance shed which blended in nicely with the surrounding area. He set on foot towards the heart of the town. Luckily for him, most of the place closed up around 8:00pm which made it easier to move around. He did manage to walk across a few humans which gawked at the Tiger before making their way to their destinations. Arsen walked around with his laser screwdriver, scanning the streets for residual energy that would have come from a tear in the dimensions but he was unsure of how long ago the rip may have occurred. He scoured the streets, walking uphill towards the outskirts of the main drag before he found a club that was open. The music was pounding and there was a long line of people wrapped around the side of the club. For a moment, the Tiger's curiosity was piqued as he noticed that there were people dressed up as animals in different type of outfits. The bouncer was checking Ids at the door, making sure no one was underage so he decided to indulge himself and slip in the back of the line.
"I hope the DJ doesn't suck today... I mean DJ PuppyFluff was much better than DJ Ponyboi." Arsen overheard a guy dressed in a fox costume say before the one dressed as a squirrel nodded. "Did you hear they had to kick out one of the wolves last night because someone was giving head on a pool table?" Arsen smirked at that before someone turned to look at him. "Nice fursuit! It looks so real and I love your costume... What are you?" Asked a small bunny costumed female. "I'm the Reaper." Arsen said as he looked down at the human bunny. "Can I give you a hug?" She asked with her arms splayed out before Arsen smirked and shrugged. "Why not." The bunny girl squeed and wrapped her arms around Arsen's waist before giving him a firm hug. "Hugs are awesome." She said before she bounced around in place and kept up with the line. Arsen was very amused at this point before the bouncer asked for his ID. He brought out his psychic paper wallet and handed it to the bouncer before he looked back and forth between the Tiger's face and the wallet. "Amazing job on the costume... enjoy your evening." The bouncer said as he handed back the wallet. Arsen just nodded before he slipped into the door way, having to duck to get in.
There were laser lights flashing around the club as well as bright lights and strobes as the music played loudly over the speakers. There were people dancing with either full costumes or just ears and a tail and it was the most curious thing to Arsen as he waded through the crowd. He got a few gropes as he passed by but it didn't stop him from walking up to the bar and taking a seat. "What will it be?" Asked the bartender who was sporting a tiger's tail clipped onto his belt. Arsen rubbed the side of his muzzle as he pondered. "Something sweet and fruity." The bartender grinned as he grabbed a few top shelf liquors and mixed them with ice before pouring the drink out of the mixer. "There you go... it's on the house for having such a convincing costume." Arsen laughed softly... "Costume eh?" The tiger tailed bartender offered a long straw. "Need it to for the drink?" The Tiger smirked as he brought the cup up to his muzzle, pressed his lips against the glass and drank it. "That's some serious work if you can do that! I've only met one other person with a costume that amazing..."
Arsen narrowed his eyes a bit... "Someone like me?" He asked before the bartender shook his head and fetched a tablet pc. He flipped through the images before he showed off an image of a grey wolf with black markings around the neck, tail tip, socks and gloves as it were. "The ladies love it when he shows up. He comes dressed in a scottish kilt and yeah, rumors are he's got nothing on underneath and it's very detailed." Arsen smirked a bit before he scanned the picture with his laser screwdriver before he took a sip of his drink. The cold, sweet juices mingled on his tongue as the Tiger was impressed with the flavours... "This is amazing... what's it called?" Bartender smirked as he answered. "Sex on the beach. But of course, without the sand." With that the bartender pointed at the door and laughed. "There is the man of the hour... Onyxheart himself."
Arsen turned to see the figure walking into the door. It definitely was a grey wolf with the black markings in a kilt. There was a small flock of females that immediately stepped in to take pictures with him. It seemed the wolf didn't mind at all posing for a few pictures before he walked towards the back of the club with a book in paw and settled into one of the more quieter seats in the house. Arsen waved to the bartender before he took his drink and waded back through the crowd on the floor and motioned to the seat. "Mind if I sit down?" Onyxheart looked up curiously before he gave a shrug and waved his paw. "Go ahead..." Arsen sat there quietly for a moment, scanning under the table before the laser screwdriver confirmed that energy was emanating from the wolf himself. "So tell me..." Arsen said as he spoke up. "How long have you been here?" Onyxheart tilted his head... "Here at Seaside?" He asked before Arsen shook his head.
"No... how long have you been here." Arsen asked as the wolf looked at the Tiger and shook his head. "I've told this story so many times but everyone thinks it's just my "furry background story"." he said with a huff, wanting to get back to his book. "I was with a few friends hiking on a hill back at home before the air caught fire in front of me. It looked like there was a rip in reality itself before these large saucer of a spaceship with bumps on it ripped through and exploded right before my eyes. The force threw me towards this burning hole and poof... Here I am on some god forsaken twisted reality where people have no fur and flat faces and no tails..." He said as he shook his muzzle. "And no one believes me. They said it's a good scifi story and an awesome furry writing." He puffed his cheeks out before he looked at the Tiger who was listening intently.
"What if I told you... I believe you." Arsen said as he took a quick sip of his drink. "Then I'd call you a fool. I've given up hope of finding my way back home. The tear closed behind me... at least I think it did. When I came to, the ship was gone, the flames in the air were gone... and here I was... trapped here." Onyxheart sighed as he picked up his book titled 'The Art of War'. "The only good things about this place is... the food and the books. They have some interesting philosophers here that I enjoyed reading." Arsen pulled his hood back before the wolf looked up at him... "Wait... either that's an amazing fursuit... or... noooooooo... can't be." Onyxheart slid over and touched the side of Arsen's face before he felt the heat of it against his fingertips. "Impossible!!"
Arsen laughed softly before he shook his head. "Not impossible... Tell me... how did you survive here?" Onyxheart looked to see if there were more of his kind around but only saw the Tiger. "Well... I use to live off the streets, trying to keep out of the eye of the public as much as I could till I stumbled across this group of "Furries" as they're called. They are humans that like beings like us, write about being us, draw pictures of us... and mind you some of them... well no that's a lie.... MOST of them are in adult situations. I found this bunch one night and they let me in saying, Fursuiters get in for free." Onyxheart laughed as he shook his head. "It was a warm place to be, albeit noisy but I met I met up with this young female artist who fell in love with "my character". I told her I had no place to stay... so she offered her spare bedroom to me if I would pose for her." The wolf blushed a bit as he shook his head and laughed. "She was the first person that believed me... she gave me food, shelter and... well... I protected her from an abusive boyfriend." He said as he flipped through the pages of his book before he looked back up to Arsen.
"He was a drunkard... and would slap her around as I hid in the spare bedroom, trying not to make a sound. I hated myself for not standing up to him sooner to spare her the pain but one night, it got too much and I rushed out to stop him." Onyxheart tapped the book's spine on the table as he spoke. "I slammed him against the wall to get him away and he was pissed... said "I didn't know you were sleeping with these furry freaks you slut." Before he started to come at me like a boxer. I let him have the first punch so I had the right to beat his ass... and after blocking a few of his punches, I decked him hard and he went out like a light. We carried him out to the sidewalk with a note pinned to his chest... "It's over."" Arsen nodded softly as he smiled, looking out to the crowd to see one of the females walking up.
"Onyx! You have company." She said before she slid in next to the wolf who wrapped his arm around her waist to pull her in. "This is Jillian... She's the artist I spoke of, and I didn't catch your name..." Jillian smiled as he reached out to shake Arsen's paw before she realized that Arsen was real just like Onyx. She felt the warmth of his furry hand against her flesh before Arsen spoke up. "I'm known as the Reaper." Jillian shivered a bit at the sound of the name before she whispered. "Did he get here the same way you did?" Onyxheart shook his head. "I don't know... we just started talking." he said before Jillian perked up. "Oh! Why don't we get some take out and come home then." Onyxheart laughed softly before he looked to Arsen to see if he would agree before he got a nod from the Tiger and the three took their leave.
"Chinese... Definitely chinese food tonight." Onyxheart said before Jillian reached down and scooped up his tail with a tug. "You want that every night you dork." She said before Onyx smirked and tugged his tail back. "What can I say? Chow's has the best beef with oyster sauce and crab ragoons." He laughed as he licked his lips, his mouth already watering. They walked up to the main street before heading down a ways to red storefront with gold chinese lettering on the front. Jillian walked inside to place the order while the two guys waited out front. Arsen looked up at the night sky at the twinkling stars, knowing that in another dimension, the Doctor was out there alone in his blue police box. Onyx was cleaning off the black stone of his necklace before Jillian came out with the bags in tow. "There we go boys! Back to the house." Onyxheart offered to carry some of the bags before Jillian handed him half, Arsen followed suit as Jillian waved her hand dismissively. "You're a guest, don't worry about it."
They walked across town together before slipping down into some side streets as they made it to the front yard of a small brick house with white slat siding and a large magnolia tree out front. The smell of it was odd sweet smell which hung heavily in the air as they walked down the driveway into the house together. Jillian put her bags on a small coffee table in front of the TV, as did Onyx before they sat on the floor around it. Onyx already had the routine down pat, passing out the containers of rice first, dumping them out onto a serving plate before opening each box top till he found his favorite, the crab ragoons. Jillian used some of the disposable spoons they gave her to help dish things out before Onyxheart had already started munching on one of the crab and cream cheese filled deep fried wonton wrappers he had previously dipped in the red sweet and sour sauce.
Arsen couldn't help but smile as it seemed like the two were a couple in his mind. "So Onyxheart, I have to ask... why a kilt?" Jillian chimed in as Onyx had his mouth full. "Cause similar to what his people wore on his planet." Onyxheart thumped his chest as he tried to hurry up and swallow to get to the question before he gave a swift nod. "Yeah. What she said..." He laughed as he grabbed one of cans of soda before opening it with a soft 'pssssft' and taking a few swallows. "Each male member of the family were trained in the ways of fighting once they reached of age and then it was considered an honor to wear these "kilts" to carry forth the honor of your family name into battle and every family had a different set of colours and patterns to identify other family members." Jillian smiled softly as took the time to get a bits of food down. "When Jillian found me, I was wrapped up in a painter's tarp much like the grand kilts of old here."
It was Jillian's turn to chime in before she laughed and took a few swallows of Onyxheart's drink before the wolf reached over and grabbed her a can of soda, opening it for her and placing it on the edge of her place mat. "Thanks hun." She said with a smile before she looked over at Arsen. "Well, it took me a little bit to save up money for a kilt in his size... And I didn't want him wearing that god awful tarp around the house so I told him to well... go nude. It was then that I realized that he would be a perfect model for my artwork and he happily posed for me so I could get the details down right and sell some wonderful hand drawn pictures to help bring food to the table." Onyxheart blushed a bit as he got a little quiet with that and ate to try and fight off the embarrassment before Arsen chuckled softly. "I would like to see some of your art work then Jillian." Onyx's eyes grew larger before he cleared this throat when Jillian rushed off with a big smile across her face to get her sketchbooks.
Jillian sat next to Arsen as she held up the spiral bound sketchbook in her hand. She flipped through a few pages of scribbles before finding some of her old artwork. "This is before I met Onyx here and I couldn't visualize what an anthro would look like, especially for shading. Not to mention getting the other eye done in three quarters portrait or anything that wasn't head on or directly to the side." Arsen didn't think she was too bad to begin with but when she flipped to a page with Onyx on it... the details stood out much better. "Ahhhh I see what you mean, these are differently much better." The wolf got quiet as there was an obvious warm up to her posing requests. They started off as simple and tasteful and as the days went by, things got a little more erotic. "This one was one of my favorite ones." She flipped the book over to show Onyx who just buried his head in eating while Arsen looked as she flipped the book back. There was a photograph at the bottom of the page of the wolf on top of Jillian with her clothes strewn over the bed... both of them were nude and the wolf was erect with her hand guiding him in. Jillian was unashamed as she showed off the pencil work that lead to her fully coloured piece. "This was the best one I released I think and I sold prints of it like crazy."
Onyxheart cleared his throat once more before he spoke up... "So... if you're here, are you here to take me back?" Jillian looked spooked for a moment as she looked between the two as the thought never crossed her mind that there might have been a purpose to Arsen's visit. "No... You can't leave me Onyx..." The wolf looked down for a moment. "I don't belong here Jillian... I've thought many times of being able to go home and be with my family again... it hard being confined to a small home, only to step out once a week into a club." Jillian slowly closed the sketchbook before she held it to her chest. "But... I want to be with you." She said as she started to tear up. Onyxheart reached out to offer his paw to her before she accepted... squeezing it tightly before Arsen looked down at the food. "How about... this... I take both of you with me at least for a little while... wouldn't it be fun to see where Onyxheart is from?" The wolf perked up before he looked at Jillian with a smile. "There would be so much I could show you! Like where I grew up, the different battlefields my family fought on, oh the castles... the beautiful countryside..."
Jillian looked between Arsen and Onyx before she cheered up a bit. "You mean it?" Jillian said with a bit of a sniffle before Arsen gave a nod. "I don't see why not. Just a short trip from here." He said with a bit of a laugh before Jillian rushed over and gave Onyxheart a hug. "That would be amazing." Onyx gave Jillian a tight hug before they went back to finish their dinner. "So how are we going to get there?" Onyxheart managed to ask before Arsen flicked his ears forward before he causally answered, "Tardis of course." The wolf shook his head as the word was unfamiliar to him. "Pardon?" Arsen took a few more bites of his dinner before he wiped his muzzle with a napkin. "Tardis. It's basically a Time traveling spaceship." Jillian looked over to Arsen with a smile. "That sounds complicated and fun at the same time, when do we go?"
Arsen looked at the two before he smiled softly, "Well, we can go now if you like." Onyxheart was very eager to get back home and he looked to make sure Jillian was ready before she rushed off into her room. "Let me get some art supplies and I'll meet you two out front." She shouted from the bedroom before Onyx picked up the food on the table. He dumped the leftovers into the trash before he pulled the bag out of the can and walked with Arsen to the curb. He set the bag into the bin before Jillian locked up behind them and carried a backpack with her on her back. "So where is this Tardis of yours?" The wolf asked as he let the Tiger take lead. "Just down by the docks, shouldn't be that far." He said before the pair followed behind him. Jillian had a big smile across her face as if her wildest dreams were coming true.
Once they made it to the rusted metal exterior of the Tardis... Jillian spoke up. "It doesn't look like much." Onyxheart had to agree before Arsen unlocked the doors and stepped inside. The wolf followed as if to protect Jillian before they gathered into the main level of the Tardis. "What the?! It's bigger on the inside!" Jillian said as she ran around the center of the room. Once the doors closed behind them, Jillian took off her backpack and tossed it on one of the couches before following Onyx who walked up the stairs with Arsen in lead. "The exterior actually changes forms to blend in with the scenery and look unassuming." Onyxheart laughed, "That's really tricky... so anything could very well be a Tardis and we would never know?" The Timelord nodded softly as he moved towards the navigational panel, before entering a few commands and coordinates. "Exactly... we do our best not to really interfere with things but sometimes, the universe needs a little helping hand."
Jillian ran around the console itself before taking it all in. "This is too cool... buttons and panels, and levers and switches... so many things to touch." Arsen chimed in... "Uh no... don't touch the console. The Tardis itself is very sensitive and alive, so please... don't touch the console." Jillian pulled her hand back before nodding softly. "Ok. No touchie then." She said with a smile before she looked around to see the hallways leading off in different directions. "Going to give us a tour or can we explore?" Jillian asked before Arsen laughed and held his paws out to point to the two hallways on the console level. "Go ahead... have a look around. Rooms are already being put into place on the first floor for you two." Onyxheart smiled as bowed his head... "Thank you my friend... And thanks, for finding me." Arsen crossed his arms across his chest before he smiled in return. "It's what I do... bring people home since I no longer have one to go back home to." Onyx's heart sank a bit hearing that but he felt it was best not to ask. With that, he took his leave and explored the Tardis with Jillian.
It was about good thirty minutes before Jillian was shouting down the corridor about having found something interesting. Arsen was a little curious as to what she found before he stopped putting in the space and time coordinates for the moment and made his way over. Onyxheart walked into the room shortly after Arsen arrived before Jillian was standing in front of a large device that stood as tall as the room's ceiling. The frame of the device seemed to have a thin coating of a translucent material across the front of it which gave in easily to Jillian's touch. There was orange and reddish swirls of energy behind the translucent material which formed like clouds in an infinite space with crackles of electricity behind it. To the left of it was a round drum, big enough to accept an arm, lined with a few needles along the inside. To the right of it was a computer console. "What is this?! It looks amazing!" Arsen's eyes grew wider as he quickly ran to Jillian and brought her away from the machine. "What's wrong?" Jillian said innocently before Arsen spoke up. "It's a Genetic Loom... And why I have one is beyond me... it must have been implanted in m'Tardis before Gallifrey fell."
Onyxheart and Jillian stared at it a bit as the glowing material behind the barrier was enchanting. "What does it do?" Onyx asked as Arsen laughed softly... "It's how a Gallifreyian is born. Our race was cursed with being sterile long long ago... So they came up with this solution. Each family had a number of family members it was allow to have to keep the population down and in control. As one would die, a new family member was created through the Loom. Even the Tardis itself was created in a loom." Jillian smiled softly, "Sounds like an interesting invention. To have a new member when someone dies... so nothing is really lost in the end. So... why don't you create new Gallifreyians?" Arsen shook his head. "Wouldn't be right in the end. Especially without a planet to call home and a long list of other ethical reasons." Onyxheart wrapped his arm around Jillian and nodded. "We didn't mean to pry." Arsen shook his head as he smiled, "No, I'm glad she found this... I'm surprised the Tardis hasn't told me about the loom... I guess we both had other things on our minds." He said with a chuckle as he ushered them out of the room.
They made their way back up to the console before Arsen finished the last of the coordinates before the dimensional jump was made which rocked the Tardis and nearly sent Jillian flying before Onyx caught her and held her against his chest. "Whoops. That was close." She chuckled before staying there in the wolf's arms as the Time Rotor spun up to send them off to their new destination. "So... how long does this take?" Arsen turned around and leaned against the console before he smiled broadly. "Just a few minutes in the time vortex. Not long at all relatively." He said as he looked at the couple standing there, with the wolf's arm around the smaller human. Arsen noticed Onyx's fingers softly stroking over Jillian's shoulders which had the Tiger convinced that the two were meant together but he felt that things were going to be difficult for them in the end. He couldn't very well live on Earth with her and she isn't going to be able to live with him on his planet but at the same time, he didn't want to separate them. He didn't give it another thought as he felt that the reality of the situation won't be known until they live it.
After a bit of waiting, the Rotor started to slow down as the rematerialization process began. The familiar chime sounded off before Arsen walked down the stairs with Onyx and Jillian following close behind. Once the main doors opened, Onyxheart stepped out first to make sure they were in the right place before Jillian followed closely behind with Arsen locking up behind them. The Tardis was in the shape of a tree that was a little wider than Arsen's shoulders were. It blended in well with the edge of the forest and together, they walked towards the small village ahead of them. Jillian was amazed that she was on a new planet but nothing really prepared her for the reception. There were a few wolven people standing at the edge of town while they watched the group walk up. "Nikolas?! Is that you?!" An elder female wolf shouted before the murmurs of the crowd started. "How is this possible?! You were killed!" She said before one of the pups shouted out... "A ghost?" Before Arsen activated his wings and spread them out. He took a hold of his laser screwdriver before extending it into a staff as he walked closely behind. "It's the Angel of Death! He brought back our Nikolas!"
Onyxheart turned around to see what Arsen did before he went with it. It was probably the best way explaining things before the crowd looked at the strange female following Onyx... "What is that?! It looks like a hairless monkey." Jillian couldn't help but feel a little bit offended by the statement before she shouted back, "Hey! I'm a human!" A few of the pups ran up to the group before they tugged on Jillian's clothing. "This is so weird. And she talks!" Jillian glared a bit at the pups before one of them tugged on her hair. "She's got a little fur up here but it's long!" Jillian swatted at the pup who pulled her hair before they ran on behind their parents as Onyxheart stepped in and blocked her from view. "Come on Jillian... you'll be welcome in my house." Jillian sighed softly as nodded, following the wolf closely before the three made their ways into Onyx's family house.
"Welcome to the Throgmorten Clan house." Onyx said as his parents walked into the wooden door of a stone and mortar house. "Onyx's mother walked in, panting as she ran in from the fields. "I came as soon as I heard! The Angel of Death... bringing back my son! I couldn't..." She stopped for a moment and looked at Jillian... "What is that?" Onyxheart placed his paw on Jillian's shoulder. "She's the one that took care of me while... I was trying to find a way back home. I told her she was welcome in my home." Onyx's mother took a moment to look a Jillian before she offered a warm smile and offered a hug. "Well, if you're the one that looked after my little Nikolas then yes... you're welcome." Jillian rushed in and gave the pair a strong hug before smiling warmly. "I just wish the others wouldn't look at me like I'm some strange critter." Onyx's mother did her best to explain things. "They haven't seen anything like you at all before. The closest would be a few monkeys that we see in the traveling zoos... To hear one that speaks like us, is just bizarre." Jillian slumped a bit against Onyxheart before she looked over to Arsen as if he had some explanation.
"Primates didn't evolve here, like they did on Earth. The "Lessor" animals became prime here." Jillian nodded softly before she looked at Onyx and his mother. "I still would love to stay with Onyxheart if, that's at all possible. Where I come from, we wished nothing more than to be people like you with fur and whatnot." Nikolas's mother smiled softly. "It's always nice to dream isn't it?" Onyx looked over to his mother with a hurt look on his face before Jillian teared up and rushed out of the house. The wolf was ready to leave before Arsen held his paw out and walked out in his stead. "I've always wanted to be like these people... to be an anthro and now that I'm here... I see that I'm not exactly welcome here... am I?"
Arsen shook his head as he wrapped his arm around Jillian. "It's the same the whole universe round. That people shun what is different from themselves. Just take the time to be with Onyxheart a little longer before I take you back home... ok?" Jillian hugged the Tiger before she sighed and walked back into the house. "I'm sorry..." Onyx's mother said before they sat down together at the table. "I didn't mean it as harshly as it came out." Jillian smiled softly as she nodded. "It's ok. I guess I wasn't sure what to expect... you know?" Onyx reached over and took Jillian's hand in his paw as he gave it a reassuring squeeze. "So where is Dad?" He managed to ask before his mother spoke up. "He was heading a hunting party and won't be back till the morning." Onyx rubbed his muzzle... "Probably for the best he isn't here... he's not exactly tolerant." He said with a smirk before he rubbed his finger along the back of Jillian's hand. Onyx's mother had a keen eye and saw that there was a little more than just a connect between them but tried to search her feelings for how she felt about it.
Arsen smiled softly as he walked out of the house to let them enjoy a little privacy as he was sure that having the 'Angel of Death' hanging around would make people feel a little uncomfortable. He made it about halfway out of the town before he noticed people were staring at him. He could only imagine how difficult things would be for Jillian in the end if she decided to stay. He walked all the way back to his Tardis before he decided to sit outside and watch the sun slowly set behind the horizon. Just after darkness fell, he slipped into his Tardis and sat down on one of the couches before Jillian busted through the doors with tears streaming down her face. "There's no way I can stay... I know how Onyx felt now... To be trapped behind closed doors." She sniffled before she ran down the hall. Minutes later Onyxheart walked in to look for her before he too disappeared down the hall.
Arsen frowned a bit as he stood up before Onyx ran back down the hall. "Jillian!! She's in trouble! She's stuck in that machine!" The Timelord blinked before he thought about what machine she could have been stuck in and then it hit him. "The Loom?!" Onyx's paw gripped Arsen's cloak, nearly dragging him before the Tiger caught his footing and ran passed the wolf to see Jillian caught behind the translucent material holding back the orange and red clouds. "I tripped... and fell in. I can't seem to get out." She said before she reached her hand forward to touch the membrane but saw her fingertips starting to unravel right in front of her eyes. "I guess... It wasn't meant to be after all my beautiful wolf. I loved you with all my heart so... remember that. My backpack has the books you loved and a few drawings I did of us together."
Onyx touched the membrane as he looked back to Arsen and shouted "Do something!! You can't just let her die in there!" The wolf looked at Jillian as more and more of her limbs became red and orange clouds. "Jillian... I love you too... And I wish I could have spent the rest of my life with you. I don't want it to end like this... It can't end so mindlessly!" The wolf turned around to look at Arsen who just watched the pair spend their final moments together. "No! Do something!" Onyx pleaded with the Timelord before Jillian's head was the only thing that remained of her body. "You know they would never have accepted me... and it would have killed me to go home." She said before Onyx cried in front of her... And within seconds, her body was gone. Onyx was hesitant to leave the machine but when he finally pulled away, he grabbed Arsen by the cloak. "Why did she have to die? Why?!" Arsen shook his head softly. "She didn't die... She's still in the Loom." Onyxheart's eyes searched the glowing eyes of the Timelord before a sparkle of hope twinkled in his eyes... "You can bring her back?!" Arsen shrugged for a moment before he thought about it. "I could but I need a template to bring her back. I don't have a human template to remake her back in her own form... but if you're willing... I could bring her back as something else..."
Onyxheart shook his head. "Anything... Anything you need, tell me and I'll search these lands for it" Arsen smiled softly at the wolf's commitment before he walked the wolf over to the large opening to the side of the device. "Place your arm inside of it and hold it still." He said as Onyxheart looked into it and without hesitation, thrust his arm into the hollow opening. Arsen walked over to the console along the other side before he said, "This will hurt a bit." And with that the needles penetrated the wolf's arm down to the bone as Onyxheart yelped in pain. "Almost done... almost.... and THERE!" The needles retracted before he pulled his arm out of the device. Arsen's fingers flew across the computer's interface before he started to isolate the latest addition to the Loom. "Ok... there she is... and with your template... and her genetic material..." A body started to form within the Loom starting with bone, then nervous system, circulatory system, muscles, skin, fur and the spark of Jillian's soul into the new body.
Arsen stepped in front of membrane before he held his arms out as the body started to push through the material. Shortly following that, the female wolf body collapsed into Arsen's arms. Gently, Arsen placed the body onto the floor before the back arched violently and took a sharp breath. Onxyheart fell to his knees and took a paw into his before he squeezed it tightly. "Come on Jillian... Come back to me." The eyes of the body opened shortly after... She tried to open the mouth before coughing. Arsen looked to Onyx before he smiled to the wolf. "Give her a moment. New body, new connections are being made..." Jillian reached over and touched Onyx's muzzle before the wolf smiled. "There you are... You had me worried." Jillian tried to speak but only managed to get out a gruff followed by a growl before it morphed into words. "Thought I was dead. I was nothing more than a bundle of thoughts in there after my body left..." The Timelord stood up and gave the two some room before Onyxheart moved to help Jillian up. "That's how our lives begin, as a Timelord." Arsen said as Onyx blushed when he realized that Jillian was nude. "Um... not to be crass but you've got a fine form..." Jillian blinked before she looked down to see her nude form. She was a little shorter than Onyx with the same dark markings along her ears, tail tip, arms and legs but didn't have the same lines along the throat that he had. Her breasts were full with dark skinned nipples about the size of pencil erasers. She admired her own curves as she ran her paws along her chest, feeling how her own fur felt against her fingertips. She laughed before sticking her tongue out at Onyxheart. "Well you liked the old one too... I had no trouble getting you nice and hard." She teased as she tried to get use to walking before Arsen slipped out into the hall.
After a few minutes of the two getting reacquainted, they walked out into the hallway to see the Timelord standing outside of the room with a big smile, offering his cloak to wrap up Jillian, who happily accepted. "Thank you..." Onyxheart took the cloak from Jillian before he wrapped her up in it. "Let's get you home now my beautiful wolven lover." Jillian blushed softly as she was escorted down the hall. The main doors opened up for them before they waved one final time to the Timelord. "Thank you Reaper... Thank you for everything!" Arsen just simply waved back before he watched them walk towards the town. With a laugh, he stepped back into the Tardis before the doors closed. "You did that on purpose." He said as he spoke to his Tardis. "Why else would you let her see the Genetic Loom? I do have to say, you made her existence a much happier one... and for that I won't fault you." The Timelord smiled warmly as he walked up the stairs. He moved in front of his console before he activated the flight engines and took off for the stars.
