It involves a mass murder (warning!)
A study of the regions shows signs little cultural divide between pokémon. The only difference is the type of cities they inhabit. Humans live in areas that mining is easier than other locations. They use technology that is unusual compared to other regions. The machinery is
substantiality more advanced, however they do not share it with the world. The childbirth rate is higher than in other regions. There medical knowledge has been focused on the fight against the lethal poké virus. In turn great strides in progress in other technologies has occurred.
Over weeks of observations they do not like outsiders. They are very distrusting of strangers. They fear all that knowledge will fall onto wrong hands.
There cities are mostly underground. They are full defensive designed to fight against pokémon and other people. There history has several civil wars between pokémon or between people.
There are pokémon from very distant regions here I can only see them from a distance. There cities are smaller and look more like villages. The pokémon from this region seem to fear humans with poké balls. They see them as a sign of unfairness.
Poké eggs are common with migrations of pokémon, the local groups see them as possible mates for them. That is common around the world, but less common in the region. The poké centers are bigger than most. They have a maternity areas for pokémon, incubator, and heated beds. The required supplements are impossible to obtain in other regions. Almost all pokémon born have genitalia so, finding the sex is easier. Blood work is not a major requirement. That saves a lot of money for the pokémon centers.
On a personal note: the local pokémon are friendlier than the people. They also make really strong beer, wine, and whisky. The other spirits are not as good but, decent in quality.
I found a female grovyle who has taking a liking to me. She wrote she wants to see the world, so after this job I will come home and bring her along. She may like my bulbasaur and mate with him if that is possible. It may not be possible since he has no genitalia that I could see.
The pokémon live in large groups to avoid rouge hunting groups that live in the forests. There has been recent reports of corpses being discovered. They were killed to have one of these groups survive. There was a pregnant persian who they allowed to live because she was going into labor. They took her young and left her to die. Some of the others in the group were mutilated, castrated, and ripped apart. There bodies lay all around with there flesh stripped. The persian died a week later due to birthing injuries during the attach. The other females were taken as sex partners for the males. One may have been a spy picking out the best choices. The females killed were past breeding age.
This is another reason they live in villages and farms.
The young death rate is high where medications are not available. Out of a litter of six young four will die. One will be dead a birth, one more will be a failure to thrive, and the last two will die of disease or accidents. The populations in those areas are larger mainly out of reproducing at a earlier age to have more offspring.
My job here is almost over. I will be heading home soon.
