human boy to Elite hero: Chapter 3
Authors note: This will by my last chapter i'll be able to post for like a long ass time. Im leaving for the navy feb. 14th. so sorry boys n girls, but i'll try to create some more when i get into tech school, which will be at least 9 weeks from the date i posted. but until then ENJOY:D
December 16th, 2541, 2:35 pm, Jacob has been caught by the covenant and is being transported as their prisoner somewhere. "Where are you taking me?", asked Jacob. "Silence human, I will not listen to your non-sence.", replyed the elite driving the revenant. Jacob knew he was in deep with this many elites surrounding him in vehicles. Moments later, after they past a small town, a large covenant base was in the big open field. As they pulled up to the shield gate, the specture that had the zealot elite, pulled ahead to the front so that he can grant clearence for the rest of the vehicles. The zealot does so and the shield lowers, all of the vehicles enter and as soon as the last ghost entered, the sheild raised up and was sealed shut. Jacob slowly got out of the revenant and waited for the other elites, cause he knew it would be foolish to run. As the elites got to the revenant, the minor elite gave Jacob a good push to move towards the door. As they get to the final step, Jacob looks out at the blue sky and green land, for he had a feeling in his gut that it'll be his last time he will get to see the light of day.
As they walked inside, many kinds of troops were there, elites, jackles, but most of them were grunts. A few minutes later and a few flights down, Jacob was escorted to a jail cell. One of the elites opened a cell door and shoved him in and threw his bag right after. They close the cell door shut and walk away. First thing he does is check his bag for any weapons of any kind, but of course, the elites took them all. Right after that, Jacob takes his two pictures of his family and stuff it in his pocket. To his left was a skrimesure that had woken up from its sleep but laid its held back down and went back to its slumber. To his right was a grunt, which looked at Jacob with some serious interest. "What you doing here demon?", asked the grunt. "I killed a group of...enemies that murdered my family...what are you in for?", Jacob said in responce. "Me and friends drool in soft gernades and throw at bruites. We die of laughter...brutes get red and ugly.", Jacob chuckled, "well i got a news flash for you grunt, they've been ugly.", he said with a sarcastic voice. Jacob and the grunt talked for hours on end about their lives, and a few other things.
9:00 pm, Jacob has been in jail for roughly 7 hours and was starting to wonder what will happen to him. Moments later, a guard elite comes up to the cell door and opens it, the elite grabs Jacob by his arm and yanks him out of the cell, giving him no time to grab his bag. "I keep bag?", asked the grunt curiously, "Yeah, all yours grunt!", Jacob replyed as the elite was shoving him forward. They exit the jail room and head for a grav lift, a second elite is waiting and then goes in first, then Jacob, then the elite that pulled him out of his cell right after. The grav lift starts to slow them down and they pop up one at a time to this long pathway. The elites behind Jacob push him to walk ahead of them, and of course, Jacob does so. This long path way near the end is lined up with elite honor guards, all holding flags. Once they had finished crossing the path, they arrive at this big door, and as they got closer, the flashed, gave out a deep tone beep and opened.
They walk inside and wait for the door to close behind them, soon as it does, one elite places his hand on Jacob to tell him to stay where he stands as the two elites walked forward towards these 5 elites, who are the council for this base. All of these 5 elites are in bulky armor, giving Jacob a hint that they are very high ranking. "Step forward human.", said the center elite. Jacob did so,"do you know why your here?", said the same elite, "let me answer that for you. You killed one of our grunt recon squads and killed off one of our jackal snipers. Do you know what we do to humans who do this?". Jacob shook his head softly trying to make it seem he's not scared. "We hang them by their arms and we burn them until they turn into dust. Now knowing your fate, what do you have to say?". Jacob gave him a dirty look,"what do i have to say? Are you serious? What do I have to say ok how about this, I was avenging my family for the bruital murder that came upon them thanks tothe covenant!", Jacob said trying to hold his tears back but fails to do so. "I....(sob)....I cant go home....my parrents are gone, my dog is gone....and you glassed the territory where the rest of my relatives live...I have no family left...", he said with tears slowly rolling down his face. Jacob wiped his tears and gave a serious look once more. "Human, this is war, many souls will die, your family happend to live at the wrong place at the wrong time. Do i have an agreement for this human be burned to his death say I, I, I, I, I", said the rest of the elite counsil, "then we have a vertect, may you have a--", "Hold on one minute counsiler", a female voice said as she cuts off the center elite. "Ahh shal-tablii, to what do we owe the pleasure of your presence?". Jacob turned his head around, his eyes widend as he see's who it is. "No way, thats the girl elite that I got it on with! But, whats she gunna do, and more importantly,whats she gunna say?" jacob thought in the back of his mind. " Counsiler, this human killed one of our recon squads and one of our snipers right? Do you know what he killed them with?", said Shal-tablii, "No please enlighten the counsil." replyed the center elite. Shal-tablii pulls out Jacobs pistol and shows it to everyone in the room. "He killed our recon squad with a pistol, and he doesnt have any plasma damage on him, doesnt that seem interesting to you in the slightest?", "Yes he sounds like a shard human but none the less, he killed our recon squad." replyed the center elite. "yes he did, he did. Ok how about this?" She says and she turns and tosses the loaded gun at Jacob. Jacob catces the gun and looks down at it. As he looks down at it the two guard elites draw their plasma pistols and aim it at him. "Are you out of you rmind!? that human will kill us all!", yelled the center elite. "Will he? Look at him, what do you think is going through his mind, and look hard and close because this human had the chance to kill us all by unloading that pistol into our heads.", said Shal-tablii. "What are you getting at? that he's weak, or simple minded?", replyed the center elite. '' No counsiler, I'm saying that he's lost just about everything, and that he can be trained to be one of our top troops that he can be. Plus if he tries to repent, death will become of him." What Shal-tablii had said peaked interest in the counsilers eyes and it showed well. The counsilers wispered to one another and looked back forward. "All in favor of putting this human under the custody of Shal-tablii to train and become what she will shap him to be say I, I, I, I, I. The vote has passed, you may take him Shal-tablii, make the sangheli and the covenant proud." Shal-tablii kneeled on her left knee and placed her right arm across her right knee. "Thank you counsilers, I shall.", she says before she rises up and turns toward Jacob. "Come on human, lets go.". Jacob nodded and followed her out to the pathway and then the grav lift. The grav lift shoots them down to the main hallway and into the main lobby.
Once Jacob and Shal-tablii entered the room, Jacob was getting all kinds of dirty looks from everyone but Shal-tablii. They walked to the main front door to exit the building, an elite tried to stop Jacob, but Shal-tablii stops the elite, "Hands off, he's with me." The elite nodded and went back to what he was doing, which in case was guarding the inside of the door. Once they walked outside, they head toward this dark purple version of a revenant. Jacob of course gets in the passenger side and Shal-tablii gets in the driver seat. they head out of the base and go around the base and heads in the same direction that Jacob was being transported in the first place, just with the base behind them. "I know what your thinking human. "why did she just save me back there?", well to tell you the truth, I needed someone for this case you know? i need a trooper who's fast and can get this job done but the counsil wont give me any highly trained elites, im lucky enough to get a spec opps elite, but they just take him back in a matter of weeks anyhow." said Shal-tablii. "So whats this have to do with me? Shal..shal..", he said in reply with trouble pernouncing her name. With a giggle she replies, " Give it some time you'll learn our language soon enough, and it has to do with you cause you have potential and your my ticket to greater and better things." said Shal-tablii, "First, have you ever been into space before? Well even if its a yes or a no, best prepair yourself, cause were getting off this planet." she says as they come up on this second base where all kinds of covenant airships are flying in and out of a shielded covenant airport.
