The Darkness
The big city's dark Alleys and side streets hold terrifying danger and surprising salvation for one lucky woman.
Tick tick tick. The sound of a pair of black short heeled shoes click on the cold wet asphalt as a young woman heads home after a late shift at the dinner. She walks alone past various alleys, unaware of a pair of hungry eyes on her. With a whoosh a pair of hands reaches out and grabs her pulling her into a one of tough's dark side streets. She tries to scream but a hand covers her mouth. The woman tries to reach her hand into her purse to get the pepper spray but before she can get her hand on it the man becomes aware her plan and throws the purse away. That it, he is a man just a man. She tries to go for the groin but misses. He pushes her up against the wall and then smashes the back of her head against the brick wall. Dazed and scared she started to lose hope of the inevitable. She felt her pants being unbuttoned then she looked up to see the man's face. Hair shoulder length and dirty looking a pair of cold black eyes. There was more than one pair of eyes in the alley one a glowing pair of red eyes bright, and a light in this cold helpless storm.
"Wolf...this is not the best idea." That statement was met with a low growl then several pairs of hands wrapped around the man's body and dragged him back into the darkness which he came. The woman looked up to see a wolf standing over her, but he was not an animal he was a human hidden behind a glossy black lupine mask a pair of glowing red eyes in the mask looked at her comfortingly. The sound of a blade being drawn from a metal sheath could be heard behind them and muffled sounds of cries for help of the man once predator now prey. A sound of blade tearing flesh was soon followed by a gurgling of the man's blood in his own air passage.
"Go to god so that he may judge you." Said another male voice.
The predator now laid dead on the ground his body loosing heat quickly; it will soon match his heart, cold and sick. The wolf looked toward the girl and patted her head; his hand was gloved but still warm. She knew these people, if they were people, saved her.
"Th-thank you" she said and the alley was then flooded with red and blue light
"Ma'am are you ok?" it was the police and when the woman turned back to see the wolf but he and his partners were gone. Vanished as soon as they appeared. These people could not be human but they are not animal. A few weeks later on the same route home she wonderd if the wolf would return. She got her awnser when she was met with the same pair of glowing eyes from atop a fire escape.
