scene change: ~\||||////~
"Daddy, do you realy have to leave tomorrow?" the young Riolu pup asked her father. Snuggling up next to him, she tucked her head into him as she sniffled. "I don't want you to go daddy." She began to cry into her fathers chest. It had only been two years since Celty had come to live the Magari's after being given up by her mother to live a better life. In those two years Celty had visited family from both side of her parents, and created a close bond with her parents like they were her birth parents. And thanks to her parents for being as supportive and loving as they were, Celty was able to be fully potty trained and like all the children her age.
Things had been going smoothly in the Magari household, Celty had been enrolled in a private elementary school that wasn't too far from their home, which was perfect for Rachel being able to just walk to the school and pick Celty up instead of having to fight traffic. For Arada ever thing at the CIA was going smoothly, well that is until about a month ago when Arada was assigned to a classified mission to Pakistan.
"Don't worry sweet pea, I'm not going to be gone for very long." He tried to sooth her as best he could by gently rubbing her back, but to no avail. "I know it's going to be hard with out having daddy here baby, it's going to be hard for me to be away from you and mommy for so long."
Celty, continuing her sniffling, lifted her head from his chest, "will you be home in time for Christmas" she asked wiping some tears from her eyes.
Arada had no way of knowing how to answer that question, he knew it was going to be an extensive mission, and had no Idea how long it would take him. He only was given a rough estimate of four months to the completion of the mission. "I don't know baby girl, I could be home the night before or two months after, but I know I'm going to be here for you're birthday." He told her as she began closing her eyes and yawning
"Daddy, am I going to be able to say goo bye tomorrow before you leave?" She asked being tucked into bed. Her little crimson red eyes, filled with hope of seeing her father once again before his departure, looked into his as her little tailed wagged furiously under the blankets.
the cute little display put a smile on Arada's face as he gently stroked the top of her head eliciting a few murrs of comfort from her, "well I was going to save it as a surprise for tomorrow but I'm going to walk you to school tomorrow before I go to work."
The smile that came across Celty's face was more than priceless, her tailed wagged more from hearing the news, her whole body was shaking with excitement as she nuzzled her muzzle into her father. The only time he was able to walk her to school was on Fridays, his day off of work. After a few seconds of her excitement she felt what every pup felt when too happy, the need to "go". Her smile quickly vanished as a look of concern washed over face, "daddy, I gotta go potty." she announced as he ears laid flat against her head.
Arada quickly got off the bed so she could move the covers and get off the bed, "hurry, hurry, don't go wet trainers" he encouraged her as he watched her run out the room and into the hall. He stayed in the room so when she came back he could tuck her back into bed, he took a seat on the edge of the bed and flicked on the little lamp on her night stand. As he waited he heard soft foot steps from down the hall, when the steps got close enough he could the shadow outline of his wife Rachel. As she neared he heard her voice call out for him, he called back to her to come into their daughters room, but instead of answering his call, his name was called again by Rachel. He started to grow concerned, was she or the baby in trouble? He got up to investigate, but before he could get to the door he heard a loud gruff male voice shout, "Yo wake up Magari!"
~\||||////~
The loud voice was more than enough to wake Arada, as he looked around he saw he was in a bed in the barracks of the military base. Standing at the entrance was a very large and masculine Machoke, no doubt part of the heavy weapons squadron. "The General is requesting you," he turned to leave but stopped and looked back at Arada, "And the rest of your team has arrived." With that said he took his leave. Arada stood from his bed on the bottom of the bunk and straightened his clothes out as best as he could, he wore a tight black BDU undershirt and black BDU pants with a pair of black combat boots.
Arada found the general in the hangar, he was a slightly older mightyena, a three star general. The General turned around just as Arada closed in, once in front of him Arada stopped and stood at attention and saluted his superior. The General gave a quick little salute, "as you were agent." he ordered Arada. He joined the General at his side as the two walked out of the hangar and onto the tarmac of the airfield where a C-130 had just landed. "I know you've been kept in the dark about who will be in the team you're leading for this mission, but we have chosen some of the most elite from all branches and agencies." When the the large cargo door opened fully Arada could see a male Infernape standing there in desert cammo, duffle bag in hand, he stared Arada down. He very closely resembled his friend Blaze, the man whom had saved his life years back, and for good reason, this Infernape was Blaze's brother.
After a pause the Infernape spoke up, "since when the fuck do they let paper pushers come back to special operations?" He asked, in a friendly mocking tone
Before Arada could answer, a large figure came from the shadows of the cargo area, placing his paw on the Infernape's shoulder, the fur on his paw was black and his nails were a shade of crimson red that made him look a little girly, but that never mattered to him. He fully walked out of the shadows, his fur had a few crimson markings making him look like he was wearing makeup near his lips and eyes, he had a large crimson braid of hair flowing down his back with an azure bead near the tip. He was a Zoroark, and a young one, only in his mid twenties wearing snow cammo. "to answer your question hot head, I'm gonna answer it with another question," he patted him on the shoulder and began to walk down the ramp "since when do limp dick recruiters come back into action?" He gave a laugh as he walked down the ramp to Arada.
The Infernape laughed and joined them down on the tarmac and shook hands and gave a bro hug to each the Zoroark and Arada. "looks like the old teams back together, huh?" the Zoroark asked. Arada shook his head to the Zoroark's question.
"It's not the old team unless we have our aquatic brother." He stated as he looked into the cargo bay, "hey where's the aquatic master of disaster?" When he didn't hear a response he called again walking up the ramp half way, "hey Gaparzo, get you're twin tailed ass out here." He jokingly ordered the adult Foatzel. Again no answer came from the cargo area, Arada turned to the General, "you said you got the elite, the elite was my old team." he said walking back down the ramp.
"Sorry Arada, demolitions expert Adrian Gaparzo was KIA a few months back during a covert mission in Thailand, he threw himself on a grenade to keep his team alive so they could finish the mission." The three were silent, one of theirs, their brother was gone, and were only informed now. "I know it's not easy loosing a brother," the Infernape's gaze moved to the floor, "but we have to move on, you know it's what Gaparzo would have wanted."
The team nodded. It was going to be hard to work without their brother by their side, but they had to keep moving, keep on defending their country, in his memory. "You told me it was a four man job, who's our fourth?" Arada asked looking to the General.
The sound of boots walking along metal could be heard as the fourth man walked out of the cargo area. Out from the shadows walked a young Lucario about the age of the Zoroark, he was dressed in jungle Cammo BDU's. "Gentle men this is Jayden your fourth man." the young Lucario joined them on the tarmac and stood in front of the group.
Arada was the first to walk up and offer his paw to the new guy. The new guy met his handshake as Arada looked him in the eye, "something wrong sir?" The new guy asked in a New England accent.
Arada shook his head with a small laugh, "it's nothing but in this outfit you've got to go by an alias, sadly right now we have a shit load of preparation we have to do, we'll just think of it later." He stood with Jayden as they faced the rest of the team. He pointed to the Zoroark, "this pretty boy here is Shade, he's one of the best sharp shooters you'll ever meet." Shade gave a little bow of his head. Arada pointed over to the Infernape, "I know Shade called this big guy 'hot head' earlier, but his name is Spark, my second in command and a hell of a knife fighter"
Jayden walked over to his new team mates, "glad I could be working with the worlds finest." He said shaking their hands. Jayden felt he had to know one last thing though, "so what do I call you sir?"
"Zero, you can call me Zero, I'm the commander of this team." he stood with his brothers as all three began to walk off with the General, "and kid, welcome to Shadow Squadron, we're the elite of the elite."
